Rotorua Duck Boat Guided City And Lakes Tour

I've been to Rotorua a few times but this trip was made better by our guided duck tour! A.a.ron personality & story telling made the journey exceedingly fun! I Strongly recommend doing Rotorua Duck Boat Guided Tour!

I cannot rate this enough 10/10 Experience. Matt was our tour guide. Very knowledgeable about the history of rotorua & surroundings. King of dad jokes, Very good with children, had our children laughing & smiling the whole way. Best music while we’re cruising the highway. Reasonable priced but most definitely worth it! We thoroughly enjoyed our time, Thanks Team!

We had such a fantastic time on the Duck Boat Tour today! I honestly think it is well worth the money and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Rotorua. The tour starts by taking you around the lakes and through part of the town, including the heritage areas, where you learn so much about the history of Rotorua. Then comes the exciting part when the Duck goes straight into the lakes! I loved learning the history along the way, and it was so interesting to hear the stories behind the places we were visiting. Our driver and tour guide, Tim, was absolutely brilliant. I honestly don't know how he manages to talk for an hour and a half, but he kept us entertained the entire time! He was incredibly knowledgeable, but also hilarious, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. I've wanted to do a Duck Tour for such a long time, and I'm so glad I finally got around to it. I definitely don't regret it! I had my two children with me, and they both loved it just as much as I did. My son can be quite shy, but he was giggling away throughout the tour, which was lovely to see. If you're thinking about doing the Duck Tour, do it! It's a great way to learn about Rotorua's history while having a really good laugh along the way. Huge thanks to Tim for making it such a memorable experience for our family. We'd happily recommend it to others!

An absolute must do. Fantastic driver/guide (think name was Aaron. Sorry if incorrect). Very knowledgeable with a sense of humour.

It was a very entertaining and fun experience. Matt was a great guide and driver, we learnt the history of Rotorua, the aquaduck was fun despite the very chilly weather we experienced. Highly recommend 😁

We had a great time on our tour, was lots of fun and way to see parts of Rotorua. Out tour guide Aaron was very knowledgeable. Knew alot. Was friendly and had great jokes. He was really good at leading the group. Definetly a must do.

We took our 7 year old daughter, she loved it, and got involved in the banter. Great fun being on the road then in the lake. A great adventure, Tim was never short of some great history, a tall story or a quick Dad joke. We highly recommend it as a must do in Rotorua.

Absolutely loved this trip! Took my son for his 2nd birthday , easy to book with and reasonably priced for the experience/knowledge you learn , we took the 90min 3 lakes tour with Tim he was a laugh and a half sang a few songs and managed to get those on the tour to sing happy birthday to my son! very accomodating never a dull moment on the trip ☺️ 10/10 recommend

This is by the far one the best experiences we had as a family. Tim our tour guide was super awesome. His sense of humor and profound passion for Aoteroa made our tour simply spectacular.

Aaron was a fun, informative guide with plenty of bad jokes! What a great experience to ride aboard this old lady of a vehicle. Great to get the history and the opportunity to kick around on a couple of Rotoruas lakes. Highly recommended

We had a great time and lots of fun with Matt. Learned so much more about Rotorua although we are kiwis. If you go in winter, dress warmly and take a scarf - it gets chilly.

Fantastic tour with funny az driver Tim.. added a bit of laughter to the journey with wonderful knowledge of the area.. learnt some new things 😆 👍 It was awesome having a drive and then plunging into the beautiful lakes. Well worth the monies for 2 hours of awesome experience

Awesome experience. Just took the mokos to experience the amphibious vehicle but got so much more. Captain Ian was so knowledgeable about the local Māori history and also about the conservation of the flora & fauna of the area encompassing it under kaitiakitanga. Captain Ian delivered his commentary with humour and drew his audience in with their duck whistles and the singing. Loved the music to introduce going onto the water etc. Well done.

Amazing host, lots of information about the area and made it funny for the adults and kids.

It was great, second time for us oldies but this set of grand kids loved and they enjoyed Matt’s humorous commentary, we will be back again as on other grandchild to go.

Me and my daughter had a wonderful time. Tim the driver/conductor was amazing and very informative with alot of humor. There wasn't many of us on the tour but we really had a great time. A great way to spend 2hrs seeing the sights of Rotorua. Tim told stories,some fictional,some historical to enlighten the trip. A good small group type tour.

We had an awesome duck boat tour! I took a group of young people with disabilities and we were very well accommodated, regular check ins and a comfortable environment for them. Guide was great, very knowledgeable and told some great jokes and kept the vibe of the trip high. Would recommend! 10/10 experience :)

It was great, the commentary was light and Informative, and on our trip the weather wasn’t the best, however, this adds an air of mystery to the stories Oh and when Matt asks, go for option no2

Very entertaining and informative way of looking around Rotorua. Great guide/driver and captain in Rileigh and a novel experience in driving a 7 tonne truck into a lake.
