We were a group of 5 women from Sydney all over 60. This tour was a challenge for some of us, purely related to height issues. But our guides, Jake, Coby and Jarred made us feel safe and comfortable. It was truly a unique experience that pushed some of us out of our comfort zone but certainly doable. Lots of great memories made.

We had the best time. Our guides Kim, Josh & then joined by Miriam where all friendly, easy going & full of relevant knowledge & supportive (when the nerves needed a boost), which only made the experience better. We were lucky to have a small group so had heaps of time to enjoy the whole adventure.

This was an amazing, very fun experience. Our guides, Sam and Kim, were great at teaching us everything we needed to know, and helped us soar through the skies. The views were beautiful and the air was fresh, and we wished the experience could last forever. I would highly recommend doing this awesome trip. It was very fun and there was no pressure, I think it is the kind of activity that is great for everyone.

I usually have a fear of heights, so I’ve rarely been able to challenge myself to do activities like this elsewhere. But my daughter really wanted to try it, so I decided to give it a go. Thanks to the incredibly friendly and supportive staff, I was able to complete the entire course! What makes this experience even more special is being able to zipline through such a beautiful, untouched native forest. I don’t think there are many places in the world where you can experience something quite like this. I did it myself, and I highly recommend that everyone challenge themselves to the Ultimate course! A huge thank you to all the amazing staff for helping us create such wonderful memories.

The whole experience from start to finish was amazing, our guides, Unique and Vincent were warm and welcoming - they explained everything so well, made us feel safe, they were patient but also lots of fun. I was nervous going into the experience but once we were in the bush and after the first zipline I loved it. It was out of my comfort zone which made it even more exciting! I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Madsen (aka Maddison) and Emma were the best tour guides ever. They really were the reason the tour was so good. The tour was beautiful and I found it still very enjoyable in a bit of rain. The zip lines were so much fun and I won the 400 meter zip line race. But props to Madsen and Emma for their guiding it was incredible.
Most amazing experience I've ever had! It's so magical in the forest and we love that they've created an experience that also gives back to the environment.
This adventure had been a bucketlist item for my family. Our guides, Lisa and Vincent kept us all entertained with facts about the environment and allowed us to really soak in how wonderful the bush is! 10/10! We were really happy with Scott, the head of the establishment, with his accommodation and real pride for all of the employees and obvious dedication to the canopy tours. My family arrived about an hour early to our tour and Scott gave us a wonderful run down of the history of the place! Afterwards we even received recommendations of places to eat in rotorua. We had such a good time. I will recommend this to anyone who wants to see the forest.

Amazing experience flying through the canopy of a pristine Nz native forest! The ziplines were fun and our guides looked after us really well and had informative and funny commentary throughout! I loved learning about the conservation efforts they’re doing, really inspiring!
What a totally mind-blowing experience! I went there with my family in December, 2024. From start to end, it was an exhilarating adventure, thanks to our absolutely amazing guides and the lush green beauty of the forest. Light rains made the experience out of the world. By chance, we three were the only ones on the first tour of the morning, making it almost a private tour. The tour was so engaging and immersive, involving plenty of laughs, interesting conversations, light trekking through the woods, feeding birds on your palm and a very yummy Milo drink break as well. There were 6 Ziplines with increasing amount of thrill in each; and they never rush you into it; you can take your time, which is very helpful for people who are afraid of heights. And the zipling itself was absolutely breathtaking (quite literally!). You zoom down the line, through the cool breeze and beautiful greenery of the forest. At every checkpoint, there is something exciting waiting for you and the 3-4 hours are every second worth it. Reuben, one of our guides, also showed a wave motion of the stretched zipline wire, made easier to see due to the rain-drenched rope. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Rotorua! In fact, when we followed up the zipline at other place in South Island, we instantly realized how much better this Rotorua Zipline was, in comparison. A big thank you to both of our guides and Rotorua Canopy Tours!

Highly recommend this zip line experience! We were 2 families, one with college-aged children and one with preteens. Everyone absolutely loved the morning, even the members of the group who were afraid of heights. Our guides kept us laughing and totally safe at the same time. We appreciated learning about the forest and conservation efforts, as well. It was a great morning in the trees!
We had a great time on the Ultimate Canopy Tour with Emma and Dylan. They were both professional, knowledgeable, and well trained. They were attentive to each person and their personal needs. Our family, 2 adults and 2 teenages, had a great time during this 2.5 hour experience. We felt safe, as our equipment was checked before every obstacle and we were always clipped in for safety. There were 10 people but the atmosphere remained pleasant and allowed fun for all. We felt the admission fee was good for the value.

Our family of 6 (13, 15, 17, 18) had an amazing day. Alex and Matt E made it a lot of fun and were very informative about the forest and the wildlife. Some quite scary moments for a couple of us, but we all managed really well and had an absolute ball! Would highly recommend

Had an absolute blast on the tree canopy zipline today! The guides were not only helpful but genuinely engaging, which made all the difference. I was pretty nervous about the heights, but they made the whole experience feel easy, safe, and so much fun. On top of the thrill, we also learned a lot about New Zealand’s native trees. Highly recommend for anyone looking for adventure with a touch of nature—even if you’re a little scared of heights!

We did the ultimate tour on 11/04/26 and had the most fantastic time. Our wonderful tour guides, Sam and Reuben, were friendly, knowledgeable and entertaining from start to finish. Sam was an incredible at introducing the tour and getting us off to a grand start with the group in the van transfer and both guides were friendly and easy going throughout the tour. We felt completely safe the whole time, Sam and Reuben were very clear and thorough when explaining and working the harness and zipwire mechanisms. The forest is absolutely stunning and it was fantastic to learn about and actually see the difference this company makes to the conservation of the area. We saw wild stick insects in some of the trees and fed some birds as well. We also got a mid way break for some water and pictures taken on the tour were sent to us as part of the package which are fantastic to have! Anyone feeling a little nervous, absolutely don't be, this is a very secure, easy and fun experience. Thanks so much for such a great experience!

Wow! Don’t think twice! Just book the ultimate experience right now. It’s worth every dollar and I wish it lasted longer! Or better yet, that we had time to go again! This was my first Zipline experience and my husband is not a fan of heights…and we both absolutely loved this activity! Our team was awesome. They kept us safe and feeling fully capable. We grew quite close to our group and it was really cool to see everyone overcoming a sense of fear or worry. You can do this! It was epic!
The Ultimate Zip-line was fantastic, exhilarating FUN !! Our guides Mat and Lochie were full of light-hearted, encouraging banter while also ensuring all safety measures. They are a credit to their Company. The course was amazing! Hubby & I are reasonably fit, in our late fifties, and traversed the course without a problem. We had an amazing experience with Rotorua Canopy Tours. The ziplining itself was incredible, but what really made this stand out was their commitment to conservation. Throughout the tour, we learned about the work they’re doing to restore and protect the forest, including predator control and efforts to bring native birdlife back. It added a meaningful layer to the experience, knowing that the tour directly contributes to preserving this environment. A huge thank you to our guides, Phil and Reuben. They were professional, knowledgeable, and made the entire experience both safe and fun. Their passion for what they do really came through and made the tour even more memorable!

This experience was absolutely amazing. Our guides were awesome - explaining things along the way. They were absolutely hilarious and very friendly. They even managed to help talk me through the ledge jump (was absolutely not anticipating having to jump off a ledge at the end). The zip lining views were absolutely breathtaking. Would absolutely recommend this tour and this company.
Madsen and Lochie are excellent guides. They are both professionals, and also fun and knowledgeable. Nice pace. Not too strenuous but be prepared to climb stairs.
