Maritim Hotel Wurzburg

This hotel was booked for me by a car dealership. It has been the best hotel experience I’ve had in Germany so far. The staff were extremely helpful. The restaurant and bar were also excellent. I will definitely book this hotel the next time I am in Würzburg.

Great location with a pool (which was a huge perk for the kids). However, one of the two elevators was broken (which made coming and going with bags difficult), the parking reimbursement machine was broken (so we paid double for parking), and there was a small staircase between the parking and the elevator (which was a struggle for elderly visitors).

Perfect location as everything is in walking distance. The hotel is very luxurious and clean. The parking garage is narrow, but has plenty of parking spots available. Gym is small, but is good enough to get a solid workout in. Sauna and pool are also available!

Extremely disappointing customer service. My father accidentally booked the same four rooms twice, and both payments were processed within the same minute. It was clearly an obvious duplicate booking and an honest mistake. We contacted Agoda and the hotel immediately, expecting some understanding and flexibility. Instead of simply cancelling the duplicate reservation, the hotel insisted on keeping 50% of the money, even though it was obvious that no one intentionally books the exact same four rooms twice at the exact same time. This isn’t about the cancellation policy anymore—it’s about basic customer service and common sense. Any hotel that values its guests would have recognized this as a genuine booking error and refunded the duplicate payment in full. Unfortunately, Maritim Hotel Würzburg chose to profit from an obvious mistake instead of treating customers fairly. That says a lot about how they value their guests. I cannot recommend staying here, and I certainly won’t book this hotel again.
