Welcome To Rome Experience

Very interesting info on the history of Rome. The immersive film was entertaining, and the breakout exhibits were great for providing impressions of how life and buildings would have been in Roman times.

Very interesting to see how all the ruins would have looked and to learn some of the history of Roma. We enjoyed very much.

Arrived mid afternoon and went to 'Welcome to Rome' on our first evening. Excellent introduction for anyone visiting Rome for the first time like our friends. My husband and I have been to Rome 12 years ago but still found the experience very informative. We all recalled various parts of the film show throughout our first full day in the city. Would highly recommend.

Great visit and a perfect way to get an overview of the city and its history in And hour, great use of visuals and 3 recreations to articulate the history of all the cities ruins.

Very worthwhile, great summary of the history of Rome. Excellent presentation especially the movie at the end.

This experience is a must in my opinion for anyone wanting to see the history of Rome, its done in 3D and is amazing.

It was extremely hot in Rome and we opted to go here. 2 adult and 2 teens, the show is about an hour very nicely done and informative. You should come here before exploring Rome, as it will give you a better insight into history.

The Rome Experience Tour was a fantastic way to start our visit to the city. It gave us a really engaging introduction to Rome’s history and helped us understand the significance of the places and monuments we saw later in the day. The tour provided excellent historical context without feeling overwhelming, and it made our later sightseeing much more meaningful because we already understood the stories behind the city. A great experience and something I would highly recommend doing early in your visit to Rome!

I like the venue was easy yo find by taxi and the theatre is small -allowing you to have a more intimate experience. I also like that you can watch it more than once in case you missed part of it. The restrooms were clean and the audio equipment worked well. They would benefit from WiFi because I couldn’t call a cab when I was ready to leave due to no WiFi access. I had to walk several blocks to catch a cab and I am disabled due to back issues. That was the only drawback. Everything else was great. The activity was worth the price and affordable. A great way to learn the history of Rome!

The experience was educational however I would not recommend going if you’re tired as it was easy to fall asleep

I’m sorry to write a disappointing review. I read the reviews before we went and was really looking forward to it. This was definitely not worth the money. It was small and I’m sorry to say it was really boring. The cinema at the end was ok, but could have been better. The interactive, visuals etc felt very out of date or cheaply done - I have been to a few immersive shows, and this wasn’t any where near the same. There was a hand written note to say the cinema was this way! The staff also looked bored! And seemed irritated when I asked a question.

This was a good one hour no-frills overview of Rome. We scheduled it on our first day here to get the lay of the land. Found the historical movie during the second half of the experience most useful.

Great history of Rome, great 3d videos. I would definitely recommend go start here before going to see the historical sites of Rome.

Actually informative to see before or after visiting the roman forum. Since so few structures remaining, the visuals help give you context as to what those 3 remaining columns used to be connected to.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Welcome to Rome. From the informative headphone-guided tour to the incredible small cinema experience with the immersive 3D-style presentation of Rome’s history, it completely exceeded our expectations. Me and my 13-year-old son were fascinated from start to finish — highly recommend to anyone visiting Rome!

Worth seeing to get an overview of Rome through the ages.

This is a great one hour introduction to the history of the City.... we did it to enable our teenage children to visualise what they were looking at historically etc... so ideal to do at beginning of your stay before you do a tour of the city... then they can have an idea of what the runs actually used to look like etc... we thought it was perfect short and sweet in an air conditioned building and clearly done with audio tour in any language you require. Great for all ages!

It starts off slow by going into individual rooms, but at the end the cinema made the experience worth it It would help in the beginning if they told you which rooms to go into in which order before the cinema because you’re not quite sure where and what order to go into them

The light projections on the city models with the audio narrative made the story of Rome origin really immersive.

This multi-media extremely well-done experience put everything together that I've been seeing and hearing on my tours over the past week. It's a wonderful must for anyone that loves history and Rome. So happy I went that one day I plan to repeat!

Fascinating way to learn about and understand the ancient ruins. Glad I had walked around the sites beforehand, I could recognise where I had been. Very well presented, very comfortable cinema. Staff are very helpful.

We really enjoyed this tour/experience about Rome’s history, informative , entertaining, immersive and great for all ages. I recommend you do it before you actually visit all the sites .

I enjoyed it. The audio was spotty. Not sure it’s worth $20 but I had a discount and only paid $10 so I got my money’s worth.

This is a must visit. We did it about half way into our holiday as had some sites booked, however it didn’t spoil this for us. So good seeing how buildings are brought to life and seeing what the colosseum would have been like and the whole of Rome was amazing. The explanation of the history was really informative. It’s a must visit.

Unique orientation to Rome and especially the architecture. Creative way to put some context around the ruins you see all over the city, especially for kids (but enjoyable for anyone).

It was well done and have a good history or Rome. In my opinion the tickets were expensive for what it was. We were there for about 45 minutes to an hour.

My partner and I decided to visit the museum at the last minute as we were in search of a museum or experience that could provide some more historical context. “ Welcome to Rome" was easily a top highlight of our trip, and it was such a creative and fun way to see the transformation of Rome and Italy. Add this to your itinerary.

Rome is truly unique. If your passionate about history this is the place to start as it explains in quite detail the history of Rome. It makes the whole experience better.

Great way to introduce Rome! Very visual experience enjoyed by our 11 year old. We all found the audio interesting with enough detail to absorb easily.

This was a great way to experience and imagine ancient Rome. The narration and visuals help in appreciating all that the city has to offer, and contextualizing the grandeur of the city from its past history. Definitely recommended.

We enjoyed the performance a lot. Well explained (in German) and great animations of the historic city. Although we knew something about Rome‘s history, we learned to understand the entire picture much better. Highly recommended!

We wouldn’t have known about the “Welcome to Rome” experience if we hadn’t walked past it on our way to the Vatican. We decided to return two days later and our only mistake was not doing this earlier in our trip. It’s a great way to get an understanding of the history and layout of the city in a clean and peaceful environment. Very enjoyable and highly recommended.

This walk through history is a great way to establish perspective between different periods. It begins with a brief geological explanation of Rome's early landscape and walks visitors through each architectural era. I loved all the models and graphics in this presentation.

Very good way to start your trip in Rome. Go here before any tours of the big sites, this will give you a good overview of the history of Rome, will help you get more out of the actual tours. Nice use of video and maps and graphics to show you Rome over time. I went after my tours of the big landmarks of Rome and wish I had gone before.

This was a great exhibition. And a great audioguide to go with it. Biggest recommendation from me But buy the tickets at the museum, not here. It's much cheaper

3-D was very cool. It was great to learn about how several buildings and structures came to be. Would have loved to learn more about ancient Rome.

Main show was wonderful. It was so captivating that my 12-year old daughter wanted to watch it a second time. Great value for money. Interesting overview of the history of Rome.
