We had an Italian-American guide called Mike who was quite small but did not use a stick to make it easier for people to see him, and as there were 50 people in our group we were at time quite strung out. He never asked if anyone had any questions or checked to see if we were all still with him. He told us a lot about himself and his family but at one point walked straight past a beautiful church near the Pantheon without mentioning it! His mike kept cutting out in the narrow streets he took us through and if it hadn't been for a tall man in our group we would have lost him, particularly also at the Trevi Fountain where with the crowd he disappeared. I had to run and grab hold of his to tell him to slow down/stop which he didn't like but there were several people who he was loosing and he had no awareness, I appreciate he ran over, but perhaps if he spent less time talking dribble about the fountain in Navaron Plazza and reviewed his route and how long he spent in places he would keep to time. Also he needs to have a pole like all the other guides so in crowded arears you can find him. I wouldn't do this again unless a different tour guide

Jose was s spectacular guide with his wonderful enthusiasm , incredible knowledge and his great sense of humour ! We would have happily spent an entire day with him!
Was already busy early in the am, but the tour guide was very knowledgeable and we got right in. Loved it.
Pantheon was spectacular and you wouldn’t want to miss. Nice having the ticket in advance. Guide was really good, but sometimes hard to hear. Headsets would be an inprovement
We visited Rome from 28–31 March 2026 and booked a guided tour of the Pantheon for 30 March at 10:30am. On Thursday 26 March, we were contacted via WhatsApp and informed that, due to “operational reasons,” the tour needed to be moved to 4:00pm the same day. We were unable to accept this change because we already had a Vatican tour booked. We were then asked if we could attend on 29 March at 4:00pm instead, but we had a Colosseum tour scheduled at that time. We were told this was not a problem and that our original reservation would be kept while they looked for another solution. On Sunday 29 March, Touristation contacted us again requesting our full names for the booking, which we provided. They replied with a thank you, so we assumed everything was confirmed. However, on Monday 30 March—only 1 hour and 37 minutes before our scheduled tour—they contacted us once more asking to move the tour to 12:30pm. We again explained that we could not make that time. At that point, we were told they could not offer a guided tour at all because too few people had booked, and the partner company they merge with in such cases only had a 12:30pm slot available. We ultimately received a refund, which took a week to process through Tiqets, and visited the Pantheon on our own. In the end, this worked out better: buying tickets directly at the Pantheon and using their audio guide cost us half of what we paid Touristation. For anyone visiting, the ticket machines are located at the front right-hand side of the Pantheon. Once you have your tickets, you can walk straight in, and the audio guide desk is on the left inside. The place is amazing! Based on our experience, I would not recommend booking with Touristation unless you are extremely flexible.
José was our favorite tour guide that we had in Rome. He’s an art historian and gave a lot of context for the Pantheon which you wouldn’t have known from just visiting the place. Highly recommended!
He is an amazing wealth of knowledge about the experience in the pantheon. Of all the time periods and the transformations of use. Second, just as biggest bonus, what’s the tour of the church afterwords I know nothing about Art and paintings but what he showed us that nobody ever knows blew us away. He is also well-versed in architecture and construction of the ancient buildings and churches.
It was raining, but the tour and the guide didn’t disappoint. Our guide pointed us to the best places to go for sandwiches, we have seen the market in Campo de Fiore. History
Our guide provided much information about Piazza Navona and the history of the Pantheon. She was easy to walk with and considerate of the customers.
We did 3 tours in Rome the Colosseum, the Pantheon and the Vatican. The tours guides were easy to locate and they were friendly and so knowledgeable.. It wasn't just talk.. it was fascinating.
Our guide was knowledgeable and knew her history. She enlighted, our group to the raw history and how things got to where they are and why it is such a dynamic structure .Great time.
The Pantheon is fascinating and Claudia (our guide) was extremely knowledgeable and a delightful person.
It was fairly short, less than 2 hrs, but our guide Claudia was engaging, entertaining and full of great knowledge to share! A few of our small group had mobility issues and she patiently waited for them.
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Jose. His enthusiasm and knowledge of history and Baroque art was outstanding. He shared so much and even showed us another church on the way because of its Baroque influences. A great tour!
Our guide was full of knowledge, very personable and full of fun and amazing facts. A place we'll worth visiting!!
The company tourist group called me the day before the tour and asked if I could change from 1030am to 4pm. I agreed and they told me they would send confirmation via email and not to attend at 1030. I never received an email for the new time of 4pm. At about that time I checked the site and went to message the tour person. That is when I saw a message in what's app (an app i never use) that was my confirmation of the new time. Obviously it was too late to go and I lost the amount of money I paid for 2 people for this tour which we were really excited about. The tour company was very unhelpful. NEVER change your original tour time unless you get an email from Viator. Horrible experience.
We had a fantastic experience. It was super nice to have such a small group with the tour. I could see the other larger tours there and it looked very distracting, not as personal and I doubt the people in that tour learned as much as we did with Claudia. She was amazing. Can’t think of anything else that could have been better. I would highly recommend this tour. Thank you Claudia.
Great tour with lots of history and little bits of trivia thrown in. Would definitely recommend this tour!
The tour was done outside and around the Parthenon We got direct access inside however no guide inside I would suggest they have the guide inside also
José was a great tour guide. We had a wonderful time and it was very informative. The information about the completion of the church was great.
We had an overall enjoyable experience, though with a few mixed feelings. Our guide was fantastic, very knowledgeable and shared some fascinating stories about the history of the Pantheon and its significance. It was definitely great not having to wait in line, which saved us a lot of time. However, I wouldn't really classify this as a “walking tour.” The walk from where we met the guide to the Pantheon was quite short, so if you’re expecting a long stroll around Rome, this might not be what you're looking for. While the guide was informative, it felt more like a brief introduction rather than a full walking tour. That said, if you're mainly interested in skipping the line and getting a good historical overview of the Pantheon, this tour does the job. Looking back, we think we could have just bought the Skip the Line tickets on our own and visited the Pantheon independently, which might have been a simpler option. One recommendation: after visiting the Pantheon, head over to Osteria da Fortunata Pantheon for some delicious, fresh pasta. Overall, the tour was fine, but it didn't quite live up to our expectations as a full walking tour.
Our guide Serena was very friendly, knowledgeable and entertaining. The best way to see this magnificent building.
Great tour. Ourvguide, Claudia, took us through Piazza Navona, The Italian parliament and into 2 beautiful basillicas before we got to the Pantheon.. the Pantheon itself was amazing. Claudia was an excellent guide.
Our guide was amazing and funny. Great learning prior to entry then had opportunity to explore. Thanks
A lot of information but all given before we went inside the Pantheon, hard to remember everything she said.
Booked separately from my friend and both of our booking times were changed even though we had booked months ahead. She eneded up having to cancel hers because it was too far after our original time and we had tickets to the Pantheon we would have missed had she kept it. Very disappointed to have to split up and that she missed it completely. Emailing 3 days before the event when you are on vacation not paying attention to emails and have other plans is not okay. All that being said, my guide was great. You should be able to link reservations so that if anything happens, you are at least moved together.
We adored Theresa’s wit, evoking our Italian-born grandparents—traditional, no-nonsense, and delightfully funny. Her deep knowledge of Barbaretti and Bernini history enriched the tour. While the experience focused on the Pantheon’s surrounding history, we explored its interior alone. Our only critique: Theresa’s guidance inside would have perfected the tour. Still, she’s a brilliant guide, and the experience was unforgettable!
Our tour guide Catarina was amazing. Very funny and very knowledgeable about the history of all the buildings. She even recommended several places to eat at. We would highly recommend this tour.
Very easy experience booking through Viator - it made the process so seamless and enjoyable! Highly recommend the tour, Claudia was so knowledgeable and fun!
The tour starts in Piazza Navona, but they don’t talk about the piazza at all. Instead, we took a really strange route through Campo di Fiori around to the backside of the Pantheon. The info shared along the way was incomplete and didn’t tell a compelling story. Then we sat behind the Pantheon and the guide spoke for way too long, before she ended the tour and we all went into the Pantheon on our own. Why didn’t the tour go inside the Pantheon? It was so strange
KATARINA was the absolute BEST tour guide to prepare us for visiting the Pantheon. We walked through the cobblestone streets and she gave us a history lesson on the foundation of Rome. She is a wealth of knowledge and we wish we had her with us all the time as we travel through Rome. Katarina even took excellent family pictures that we will remember this moment for a lifetime. Thank you so much. 😚
Incredible tour of the critical points around the Pantheon, to learn about the ancient temples, Caesar’s execution site, etc. Then loved not having to wait to get inside! Being the day of Pentecost with non-stop people inside, we saw what we wanted to experience inside - and thought this tour was the best!! We found it to be perfect.
Quick walk where the guide almost lost the people in the group multiple times, made comments suggesting she wasn’t a fan of the Catholic Church and a comment apologizing for the tour saying they needed to make a profit. Wouldn’t recommend, you’re better off getting your tickets at the door and saving some money.
Our guide Eva Maria was very friendly, passionate about history and very engaging with the tourist group..
Missed my group and showed up late but was able to be provided our tickets. Was unable to skip the line but it took only 5-10 minutes. The pantheon is one of the best in Rome so would recommend, however you can get tickets at the door for 5-10$ and not spend ~$50 on the tour. Line is long but deceiving
While the outside of the pantheon is spectacular, the inside is breathtaking. Strongly recommend booking this tour as we were able to bypass the line.
Great tour. Skip the line saves a lot of time. The guide gave us information that we wouldn’t have known without her. If you don’t have a guide, it seems that you may not get as much out of it and give up learning and understanding because of the crowds
This tour is mainly walking through the streets of Rome. The tour guide walked way too quickly and was not attentive to the group.
An educational and enlightening experience- Salema, our guide was wonderful!! Her wealth of knowledge is superb and her enthusiasm contagious. There would be no way to get the same experience/information without a guide.
Walked us around the area near the pantheon but there was no guided tour of the pantheon, she didn’t even walk us to the entrance to tell us where to enter. Recommend saving your money or booking a different tour
It was great to see this wonder along with our guide's expert knowledge sharing its history. We would highly recommend this tour!
This was a good tour, our guy took the time to explain the history to us about the outside as well as the inside.
Our tour guide was exceptional and took us to some additional must see spots near the Pantheon. The experience exceeded expectations!
A beautiful place. Guide was full of knowledge and experience. Thank you for a great experience!!!!!
Our guide was fantastic friendly, informative, looked after the group and encouraged group participation. The tour of the Pantheon was amazing. I would throughly recommend this tour.
Good way to learn about the Patheon. The guide was fenomenal. The tour also gives us new ideas to consider in our visit to the area. Good!
Our guide was very knowledgeableHe also knew quite a bit about history of churches in the area .we truly enjoyed our experience
Well worth the price! Our guide was very knowledgeable. We met at beautiful Piazza Navona she and explained it's rich history before walking over to the Pantheon.
We’ll run tour with a great guide. Unfortunately, our guide was prevented from staying with us inside the Pantheon.
Typically with guided tours, you are able to communicate with them before the tour for clarification of meeting points and other such information. When I tried to communicate with the tour operator, I did not receive a response. Absolutely abysmal customer service.
