This was an amazing adventure! Mickey did a wonderful job. He is extremely knowledgeable and an amazing guide all throughout Rome. I love history and he blew our minds!

The most famous baroque square in the world where during the conclave the crowd waits impatiently to see for the first time the face of the new Pope. Bernini's colonnade represents the ideal embrace of Peter towards the faithful who have come for centuries to pray on his tomb. In the centre one of the most ancient Egyptian obelisks which in ancient Rome was located in the centre of the circus of Emperor Nero. Your private tour comes to an end hoping that you enjoyed our tour and to see you again soon in Italy.
CAN BE INCLUDED ONLY IN THE 5 OR 8-HOUR TOUR The Colosseum in Rome was the largest and most advanced amphitheatre the ancient world had ever seen. It is the main symbol of Rome. The famous Roman amphitheatre was built between A.D. 70 and 72 by the emperor Vespasian and hosted events like gladiatorial and hunting games.
The most famous monumental area in the world. The political centre of ancient Rome and symbol of the power of the Eternal City. The place where in the eighth century BC the city was founded and from where the Romans began their incredible history of conquests throughout Europe.
The Palatine Hill, which is the centremost of the Seven Hills of Rome, is one of the most ancient parts of the city and has been called "the first nucleus of the Roman Empire." The site is now mainly a large open-air museum while the Palatine Museum houses many finds from the excavations here and from other ancient Italian sites. Imperial palaces were built here, starting with Augustus. Before imperial times the hill was mostly occupied by the houses of the rich. The hill originally had two summits separated by a depression; the highest part was called Palatium and the other Germalus. Using the Forma Urbis its perimeter enclosed 63 acres; while the Regionary Catalogues of the 4th century enclose 131 acres (53 ha) .
The construction of the first Pantheon dates back to 25BC by Marco Agrippa, an important Roman general and son-in-law of the Emperor Augustus. After 150 years the Emperor Hadrian rebuilds it in the same place and in the form that we can still admire today. After almost two thousand years we can still visit the ancient building and its incredible open dome. Since the beginning of the seventh century the Pantheon has been transformed into a church, the Basilica of Santa Maria ad Martyres. A unique monument in the world, not to be missed even if you have already visited the Eternal City.
The most beautiful and the most famous fountain in the world, symbol of the incomparable beauty of the Rome of the Popes. The fountain is located at the junction of three roads and more specifically it is built upon the ‘terminal point’ of the Acqua Virgo, one of Rome’s most important aqueducts that transports drinking water to the Eternal City. You cannot miss the visit to the famous fountain where to throw the coins to be sure to return to Rome in the future.
The Circus Maximus is an ancient Roman chariot-racing stadium and mass entertainment venue located in Rome, Italy. Situated in the valley between the Aventine and Palatine Hills, it was the first and largest stadium in ancient Rome and its later Empire.
The Capitoline Hill is the smallest and most important of the seven hills of Ancient Rome. As the political and religious heart of Rome the hill became a symbol of Rome's reign as the capital of the world. From the top of the Capitol your guide will show you the wonders of ancient Rome represented by the ruins of the Roman Forum, the largest monumental area in the world. A breathtaking view where you can take incredible photos to bring home the best memories of the Eternal City. A vast expanse of ruins of temples, basilicas and triumphal arches symbol of the power of Rome through the first thirteen centuries of Roman rule over almost all of Europe.
Piazza Venezia is the central hub of Rome, Italy, in which several thoroughfares intersect, including the Via dei Fori Imperiali and the Via del Corso. It takes its name from the Palazzo Venezia, built by the Venetian Cardinal, Pietro Barbo alongside the church of Saint Mark, the patron saint of Venice.
The "Via del Corso" is a main street in the historical centre of Rome. It is straight in an area otherwise characterized by narrow meandering alleys and small piazzas. Considered a wide street in ancient times, the Corso is approximately 10 metres wide, and it only has room for two lanes of traffic and two narrow sidewalks. The northern portion of the street is a pedestrian area. The length of the street is roughly 1.5 kilometres.
The Spanish Steps in Rome, Italy, climb a steep slope between the Piazza di Spagna at the base and Piazza Trinità dei Monti, dominated by the Trinità dei Monti church, at the top. The monumental stairway of 135 steps was built with French diplomat Étienne Gueffier's bequeathed funds of 20,000 scudi, in 1723–1725 linking the Trinità dei Monti church under the patronage of the Bourbon kings of France and the Spanish Embassy at the top of the steps to the Holy See in the Palazzo Monaldeschi at the bottom of the steps.
Of incomparable beauty, perhaps the most beautiful square in Europe symbol of the power of Pope Innocent X and his family: the "Pamphili. Built over the ruins of the stadium of Domitian, Roman emperor at the end of the first century, the modern Baroque square exposes a Bernini masterpiece in the center the fountain of the "Four Rivers".
Is a rectangular square south of Piazza Navona in Rome, Campo de' Fiori, translated literally from Italian, means "field of flowers". The name dates to the Middle Ages when the area was a meadow. In Ancient Rome, the area was unused space between Pompey's Theatre and the flood-prone Tiber.

This is the best tour we have ever been on. The guide Daniela was absolutely incredible. He was so personable, knowledgeable and we felt like family by the end. He got us thru all the crowds quickly. We did not have to wait anywhere. We wete a group of 6 and that was not easy! Also, the driver Max knew all the backroads and shortcuts so we missed all the traffic! We saw so many things in Rome in one day. We recommend this tour highly and would give it more than 5 stars. Ask for Daniela and Max! Best ever!
Our guide, Patricia, was absolutely fantastic. Very knowledgeable with great descriptions of the history and players throughout Romes history. Recommended a superb restaurant for lunch. Getting tickets in advance saves considerable time that would be wasted standing in line and having a driver saves wear and tear on the feet. Overall, a great experience.
It was an amazing day. Patricia and Stefano were amazing. She went above and beyond, offering to show us so much more than we expected. Her knowledge about Rome was incredible. They way Stefano navigated the traffic was amazing. Couple all this with their friendly, outgoing, and engaging personalities we had a blast. Worth every dollar we spent.
Nicola was awesome! He was at our hotel to pick us up right on time. Very accommodating and helpful. He was knowledgeable about everything and his english was really good and easy to understand. We had a fantastic day. I can highly recommend Thank you!
Booked this tour end of July for Oct visit. You would think paying this amount of money & the time given all the tickets would be purchased correctly. This company did not have our St Peter Basilica tickets. We were denied entry. Worst experience ever. Also company charges mandatory $5 earphones per person for Vatican museums, tour guide did not have them. It is very crowded, it was very hard to hear over hundreds of people. Tour guide basically ran through the museums. It was our 1st time, probably his 1000th time. But we are paying for the experience. Very disappointing to travel this far & willing to pay for a “VIP” experience & was denied entry. And there is not a skip the line tickets. The company will purchase tickets for the Vatican & Colosseum, but all entry is the same for everyone that purchased a ticket for Vatican or Colosseum. The company does up charge you for purchasing the tickets for u. (You can look up the prices for both places) And this is the only company Ive dealt with that wanted cash/euros to be paid on the day of your tour. Most tours you just pay upfront through your credit card when booking. I then realized at the end of the tour, the euros paid to the tour guide was actually for the tour guy & driver. Thats how the company compensates them. Just beware if you book with them, you might not be able to see all the sights you were promised even paying this expensive amount. Very Disappointing!
Amazing! Mickey was extremely knowledgeable and patient with our group of 4 ladies. Max the Driver was perfect, Mercedes van. Book it!
This tour was exceptional! Up close experience of Rome! My tour guide was knowledgeable and would provide insights on the people of Rome
This was an incredible tour. This is our first trip to Rome. We chose this, because my husband has Parkinson's, so we knew excessive walking would be difficult. We were picked up at hotel. We saw everything we wanted. Our guide Simona was awesome. He was so knowledgeable. And our driver Stephan(spelling) was a great driver, pleasant and just so nice! They took us to a ristorante where the food and service were spectacular. I would highly recommend these guys for this awesome tour!
Absolutely awesome tour! Mike/Migel did an awesome job and was a wealth of knowledge. Very helpful and Stephane was an excellent driver. The tour packed in the major highlights we wanted to see in a day.
Absolutely fantastic day with Nikola. The tour hit the best spots and was both easy and very informative. The golf cart got us into all the right spots with ease and lunch was both authentic and great as well. If your looking at this tour, do not hesitate to book it.
A full day but every minute is well spent. Our tour guide Nicola was outstanding; tremendous knowledge of Rome’s history, culture and the stories behind the stories, with a great sense of humor that made the tour the perfect was to see as much of Rome as possible in one day. Could not recommend him more highly.
This was my first trip to Rome, and unlike other cities I’ve traveled to, I didn’t do much pre-planning or research. I was looking to book an all-day private tour to see as many sites as possible and I found Nicola’s tour company received very high reviews, as well as making all arrangements for purchasing tickets in advance, as well as including a private driver. Communication prior to the tour was extremely easy, and Nicola arrived ahead of time on the day of the tour. The driver- Andrea- was a perfect gentleman, opening and closing the van doors for me and escorting me out of the car, something rare these days. It also didn’t hurt that he was extremely handsome! Nicola took me to all the sites- the Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Pantheon, Colosseum, Sistine Chapel, Vatican Museums, and St. Peter’s Basilica. It was a packed day but I learned so much history- literally everywhere you turn there’s so much ancient history. Nicola was an amazing tour guide who I would instantly recommend to my friends and family. Rome was EXTREMELY HOT when I visited so having the air-conditioned van with a driver to negotiate the crazy traffic was a godsend! I felt extremely safe traveling as a single woman with Nicola and Andrea and would definitely request them for another tour the next time I come back to Rome!
Great way to see Rome when you only have a short time. Guide and chauffeur made the day very interesting and efficient
Belvedere Tours by Limousine Service in Italy offers personalized first-class service. My husband and I recently used Belvedere for a private tour of Rome, and the experience exceeded our expectations. Our tour guide, Nicola, was outstanding. His knowledge, professionalism, and passion for Rome made the experience both fascinating and memorable. The VIP, skip-the-line access at each of the sites we visited was a true benefit. This was especially nice since the Vatican, had long lines and people were waiting for hours in the hot sun just to get in. Bypassing the long lines made the experience feel truly exclusive and allowed us to enjoy our visit without the stress and inconvenience of waiting. We enjoyed our private Rome tour so much that we booked a second excursion to explore some of the highlights beyond the city. Our driver, Stefano, was professional, courteous, and attentive. His service and attention to detail made for a remarkable experience and wonderful day. We also relied on Belvedere for our private transfers from the airport to our hotel and from our hotel to the cruise terminal. Every transfer was on time, comfortable, and handled with the same high level of professionalism. Belvedere Tours provided far more than transportation and sightseeing—they provided a truly first-class experience. Their attention to detail, knowledgeable guides, professional drivers, and personalized service made our time in Italy simply unforgettable. Belvedere Tours is worth the investment, and I highly recommend them.
Great experience! Very knowledgeable guide. Liked the convenience of having a driver and a guide. Catered to our needs - like kids wanting a snack!
The tour is a must do, beyond our expectations!!!! Our drivers met us as we got off the boat. Our guides Patricia and Lorena spoke English clearly, they were incredibly knowledgeable and had us hanging on every detail. The rests for lunch and a snack were at the exact right times and we had enough time and Rome with the Vatican, Trevi Fountain, the Parthenon and all the history need to be experienced to be fully appreciated. An incredible overall tour.
Want to tour Rome from a native perspective? Our eight-hour tour of Rome with Nicola and Andrea was one of the absolute highlights of our trip. From the moment we started, everything felt effortless. Andrea expertly navigated Rome’s busy streets while Nicola brought the city’s incredible history to life in a way that was engaging, informative, and never overwhelming. What truly set this tour apart was their teamwork and planning. They expertly navigated the crowds, timed each stop perfectly, and knew exactly when to arrive at each attraction so we could spend our time enjoying Rome instead of waiting in long lines or fighting through heavy crowds. We were able to experience so many iconic sites while still having plenty of time to explore, take photos, ask questions, and simply soak in the beauty and history around us. Having Andrea focus on the driving and logistics allowed us to completely relax, while Nicola’s storytelling made every stop meaningful and memorable. Together, they created a seamless experience that let us see more of Rome in one day than we ever thought possible—without ever feeling rushed. If you’re looking for a tour that is exceptionally well organized, rich in history, and designed to help you make the most of your time in Rome, we can’t recommend Nicola and Andrea highly enough. Their professionalism, knowledge, and attention to detail made this an unforgettable experience for our family.
One of the best tours I’ve been on. Well worth every penny. It was very hot in Rome when we visited and having a guide and a separate driver was invaluable. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly and very accommodating when we changed the original itinerary. He took us to a restaurant and helped us to order food off the menu so we would get the full experience. I highly recommend taking this tour so you can see the most amount of Rome that you can.
Awesome experience couldn't have been a better tour super knowledgable showed us way more with all info you can digrst
This was one of the best private tours I have ever taken! If you want to spend the day with an incredible guide and driver, who are super knowledgeable of Rome, this is the tour for you. We couldn't ask for a better experience in seeing all the main sites in a day!
Very thorough tour of the city. Our guide Nicola was very knowledgeable. He was very thoughtful of our needs throughout the tour and Stefani our driver zipped around town for us with ease
The host was not responsive or helpful at all. The booking states the Vatican museum, the Pantheon, and the Colloseum are part of the tour but after booking they said none were possible. I understood there was an alternate to the Vatican since it's closed on Sunday, but gave no reason why the Colloseum and Pantheon were not available. I attempted to work with the host to work out or verify the itinerary even stating I was able to purchase Pantheon tickets online and could adjust it for the best time for our tour. I sent four messages all attempting to coordinate the details of the tour and went completely ignored. I had to contact Viator to cancel the tour and they agreed with full refund due to the unresponsiveness of the host. It was only after I cancelled the tour, 30 minutes prior to the start, that the host decided to message me stating a van was already on the way and that they had tried calling me. I had no missed calls and it makes no sense why they wouldn't just message me back instead. After I cancelled their tour they became very responsive in our messages offering no apology and only seeming to want to start a fight with me. Very unprofessional. I would not trust them to provide a good experience.
Where do we even begin? From start to finish, this was an absolutely exceptional touring experience and one our whole family will be talking about for years. Nicola, our guide, was a standout in every sense. Over the course of a full 8-hour day, he kept us completely engaged with his incredible depth of knowledge, fantastic sense of humor, and genuine warmth. What really set him apart was how intentional he was about including our boys in the conversation. He made the history and the sights come alive for them in a way that was age-appropriate and fun, not just a lecture for the adults. His tidbits about each stop were the kind of insider details you simply won't find in a guidebook. Beyond the sights, Nicola went above and beyond with practical help, recommending the perfect spot for lunch, helping us navigate the menu, and making sure everyone at the table got exactly what they wanted. He also kept a sharp eye on the clock, making sure we departed in time to hit everything on our agenda without feeling rushed. Stefano, our driver, was equally impressive. Professional, personable, and genuinely funny, he made the time between stops a pleasure. He consistently got us as close as humanly possible to each destination, dropping us off and picking us up right at the door, which made a huge difference over the course of a long day. The coordination between Nicola and Stefano was seamless. It was clear they operate as a true team, and it showed in how smoothly the entire day flowed. We would recommend this tour without any hesitation, and our family is already planning to book with them again on our next trip. Five stars, easily.
Our driver(Andrea) and guide (Laura) were first class!! Our day was perfect and we were able to see Rime in a day!! Laura was do knowledgeable and friendly. We highly recommend this tour. Thank you!!!
Very informative and well worth your time! It packs a lot of information and highlights of Rome in an 8 hour tour. You will be tired but if you only have limited time in Rome, this is the way to go. Our guide, Miguel (“Mickie”) was so knowledgeable and well spoken, he made the time fly by!
Stefano and Nicola were a fantastic tour guide duo! Stefano would drive us all around and get us right up close to our destination while Nicola was always by our side as our tour guide. Nicola was more than a tour guide. He was a great historian. He would take us to the front of the line at all our destinations. He would provide detailed history of the locations and of the city while driving between destinations. He was very passionate about Rome history and Art. He navigated you through the masses so that you could see the most important parts of the tour destination. He would always lead you to the best locations that were least crowded for views and pictures. He was easy going and he had a great sense of humor. I would highly recommend this tour.
We had an incredible experience exploring Rome on this eight hour tour. We were picked up right from our cruise ship in Civitavecchia, which made the start of the day seamless. Our driver Stefano was gracious, friendly, knowledgeable, and took care of all the logistics. Our tour guide Mickey was amazing —he was exceptionally knowledgeable, engaging, and full of fascinating insights on every aspect of the places we were seeing. Over the course of the day, we were able to see so many of Rome’s iconic sights. We had such a great day, I would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting a memorable, easy, and well-organized way to discover Rome. I can't recommend Mickey and Stefano enough, they were both so impressive!
Nickoli our guide was most knowledgeable; his driver was very smooth in our transitions around town. Made this tour really easy. Nickoli's recommendation for an evening dinner after the tour at Checco Er Carettiere restaurant was really enjoyable. TRilussa Square just around the corner was an entertaining spot loaded with street performers. Certainly worth the taxi ride form our hotel.
Without a doubt, the best tour we ever had. It is pricey but worth every penny. We had our personal tour guide and driver for the full day. Our tour guide explained and told us history on every single location. Walked with us as she narrated them. She knew the best angles for pictures. She gave us memories to last a lifetime.
Fantastic experience! Highly recommend!!!
Wonderful tour. Niko was so knowledgeable and friendly. Personalized the tour to exactly what we wanted. Prebooking tickets saves so much time. The van was lovely. Highly recommend especially if it’s your first time visiting or your time in Rome is limited.
It might seem pricey but I felt it was well worth the money. Being able to skip the line I’m sure saved hours of time. Even though it is early in the year and the city is not crowded, the lines at the venues were very long. My husband and I are not young and cannot cover the territory like we once could, but this tour is flexible in that regard. Did we see every single thing on the agenda? No. But we finished the day on time having seen amazing things we absolutely never could have on our own. Our guide and driver were kind, considerate, and a delight to be with.
We only had one full day to be in Rome so I contacted Viator & told them the places on my bucket list. Our tour made all the top notch attractions with skip the line tickets & several other historical sites. We wouldn’t have made a fourth of the places on our own - highly recommend this tour
Scheduled an 8-hour private tour of Rome's main spots as my husband and I were traveling with our adult son, who had never been to Italy before. Having a driver and a guide made the experience seamless. They communicated with us prior to our arrival in Italy and then coordinated pick-up from our hotel in Rome. Nicola's knowledge of Rome was incredible. We were able to see all of the main sites in a single day. Belvedere Tours by LSI coordinated the purchase of our tickets (for the Colosseum, the Vatican Museums, St Peter's Basilica, and the Sistine Chapel, and the Parthenon), and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Nicola provided tour services throughout the day and at each stop and attraction. I highly recommend the company's service and plan to use them again during our next visit. Important note: We took a golf cart tour (with a different company) during an earlier visit. I enjoyed it, but my husband had some difficulty hearing the single driver/guide over the road noise. Having a van with a separate driver was so much better for all of us. Also, it rained during our last visit, and the golf cart's plastic window coverings were impossible to see through. Having heat (or air) in the van is also a plus. Keep in mind when booking your tour(s). Golf cart tours are fun, but we enjoyed the van service more.
Just pack your bags get ready to have the time of your life. Leave your worries at home any problems liking is available 24 seven to handle them. Enjoy a smooth sailing from beginning to end. This is a five star floating hotel Leave all your cares and woes at home
This was an excellent way to see tons of sights in Rome in one day. Our tour guide was so knowledgeable and answered all our many questions. Our driver so confidently navigated the narrow and busy streets of Rome - it was impressive!
Very friendly and professional. Very knowledgeable and accommodating. We could not have been more pleased with this excursion. Everything was done first class and we had a wonderful time!
This was my first private tour ever and I was super impressed!! we elected for a car and tour guide and sometimes you have a tour guide and they’re driving but this time we had someone actually drive us around and that was key because there was a lot of activity in the area and this helped Mickey to book us tickets and tables for lunch While also having someone standby and park somewhere and then sweep us up when we needed them. Time is of the essence when you are in Rome and you’re maneuvering large crowds. Mickey knew this and helped us to plan our day. Everything was super efficient. We had so much fun Mickey’s English was very easy to understand. I really appreciate that because I don’t know Italian. He was a world of knowledge as we went through the Vatican city and the Sistine Chapel. We also did a guide through the whole area, but it’s just too much list. Thank you so very much for being on point with your time management helping us to maneuver the crowds. I’m so glad that I wore comfortable shoes because there was a lot of walking and climbing. I did expect that, but I was exhausted by the end of the day. There were so many beautiful paintings and sculptures, and the architecture and all of the beauty and everything was a lot to take in. There is so much history in this area and it was a lot to unpack, but we did it! I definitely don’t recommend doing this trip by yourself because it’s really hard to pack it all in a day. Thank you so much Mickey. You made our experience very memorable and we will cherish it for a lifetime!! 💖🙏🏻
There’s no substitution for having the guide to yourself and being able to ask questions. Nichols in morning, Sylvia in afternoon. Made our first time Rome experience especially memorable. Would recommend this tour to anyone!
We had a great time with Nadia (Tour Guide) and Maximo (Driver). They were very accommodating and knowledgeable!
Our guide was Michele and he was very knowledgeable. He picked us up at our hotel and showed us all the best sights.
Andrea and Patricia we an awesome pair. Great driver and very knowledgeable guide. Would highly recommend
First time in Rome!! This is a must. We seen more. Learned more em and experienced way more than we woukd have trying to navigate on our own.
The tour today was amazing!! We had Nicola for the first 1/2 of the day and he was a wealth of information!! A terrific tour guide. For the Vatican City portion we had Patricia who was also a wealth of information! Another terrific tour guide. Saw so much in one day. Our driver was Stefano who was a great driver and got us everywhere we needed to go with a lot of Rome traffic! Overall I would highly recommend this tour for a one day trip of Rome! Need to come back and see more!
Super friendly and knew a ton about the city. The golf cart was awesome—made it so easy to get around. Definitely recommend, totally worth it!
The tour was informative and hit all the highlights. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and our driver was great. We had a great experience the entire day. Skip the line was an awesome offering.
Overall, this was an incredible experience. From a logistics perspective, it was really easy to get this arranged. They were super communicative and arranged for our tickets. We just showed up and they took care of everything. Our tour guide, Patricia, was amazing. She was incredibly knowledgeable and it was obvious her knowledge was deeper than a script. She was able to navigate from site to site, drawing connections and stories. We learned so much and were so appreciative of her passion for history, architecture and Rome. We booked a private tour and a car to take us from sight to sight. It was worth every penny.
We had a blast today! The train ride was intended to be an experience, and indeed it was. By our own mistake we boarded the wrong train, we delayed our arrival in Rome by two hours, but it was no problem for Nicola and his team they made sure we got to see all the main attractions Rome had to offer in one day and we are so grateful! Defiantly recommend this tour. Convenient and an amazing experience.
Guide, Francesca, was excellent. Very knowledgeable about each landmark we visited. Driver and car were top notch!
