Itinerary
Start your Vespa tour in the heart of Rome at Piazza Venezia! This busy square is a great place to begin our journey. From here, we can see the huge Vittoriano Monument. Strap on your helmet, hop on the Vespa, and get ready for an exciting ride through Rome's historic streets. The adventure is about to start!
Our next stop on our Vespa tour is none other than the iconic Colosseum! We'll pull over here, allowing you to take amazing pictures and learn about its incredible history. But that's not all - our guide will also share fascinating tales about the nearby Aventine Hill and the Roman Forum. It's an insightful stop that combines stunning sights with captivating stories. Grab your camera, soak up the knowledge, and then it's back on the Vespas, off to the next Roman adventure!
Our Vespa tour continues as we journey to the mesmerizing Roman Baths, also known as Terme di Caracalla. As we ride, imagine how these enormous baths once echoed with the voices of Romans relaxing and socializing. This massive ancient structure is a window into the daily life of Rome's past citizens. So, hold tight to your Vespa as we delve deeper into the city's fascinating history on our next exciting leg of the journey!
Up next, we'll whiz by the intriguing Pyramid of Cestius, an Egyptian-style pyramid right in the middle of Rome. As we drive by, you'll get a glimpse of this extraordinary monument, a testament to Rome's diverse cultural influences. So keep your eyes peeled for this unexpected sight on our exhilarating Vespa tour!
From the ancient pyramid, we'll hop back on our Vespas and gear up for a scenic ride up the Aventine Hill. As we climb this serene and wealthy neighborhood, get ready for a sneak peek into the luxurious side of Rome. The elegant villas lining the streets make this part of our Vespa ride a visually delightful experience. So hold on tight as we ascend the hill and continue our exciting journey!
Our next stop? The tranquil Orange Tree Garden at the peak of Aventine Hill. Here, we'll step off our Vespas for a while to enjoy the lush greenery and the refreshing citrus scent. This garden is a little oasis in the middle of the city, providing a peaceful break on our lively Vespa tour. So take a stroll, enjoy the serene setting, and get ready for the next part of our Roman adventure!
After the tranquil Orange Tree Garden, we're back on our Vespas, cruising down towards the ancient Circus Maximus. As we drive by, you'll catch a glimpse of this vast open space, which was once the grand stage for chariot races. Just imagine the roar of the crowds and the thunder of the horses' hooves! Our Vespa tour continues to blend the excitement of the ride with a taste of Rome's rich history.
Right after our drive-by the ancient Circus Maximus, we'll take a scenic route past the calming Tiber River. As we cruise along, enjoy the view of the water and the romantic bridges that span it. This peaceful riverside ride is a refreshing change of pace on our Vespa tour before we zip off to the lively neighborhood of Trastevere for a well-deserved ice cream or coffee break. So keep your eyes open and take in the charm of Rome from a new perspective!
Next up, we ride to the lively neighborhood of Trastevere! This area is famous for its cozy streets and delicious food. Here, we'll take a break from our Vespas and enjoy a treat. Whether you're a fan of creamy gelato or you prefer a cup of rich Italian coffee, it's the perfect place for a little rest and some yummy flavors. After all, no tour of Rome would be complete without tasting a bit of its cuisine!
Our Vespa adventure is nearing its grand finale! Our last stop is the spectacular Fontanone on Janiculum Hill. After a thrilling ride, we'll park our Vespas and take a moment to marvel at this impressive fountain. It's the perfect spot for some final snapshots, but that's not all - the hill offers a breathtaking panoramic view of Rome. It's a splendid way to wrap up our Vespa tour, so get ready to be amazed!

What a wonderful day. Simone & Marco were fantastic. They were friendly (despite us being late) fun and I can’t thank them enough for making our trip to Rome such a wonderful experience.
Awesome excursion. Great way to get up and personal with Roma. Guides were fantastic.
The experience was amazing, the guide was so knowledgeable. He knew places to stop with views that were away from lines and tourists. Areas of town that
This Vespa side-car tour is a fantastic way to see the city, especially at sunset. Our guide Manuel was kind, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and lots of fun. I would highly recommend this tour.
so fun! here are pictures of the people that also went on the tour.
Fantastic way to see around Rome, great experience with lots of information on the history and locations visited
So worth it! I took my college aged girls with me and they said it was their favorite activity. They took us to places we hadn’t seen yet and bought us a treat and the end of the tour.
So much fun and we learned so much during our Vespa adventure. Our drivers were very patient as we had a slight glitch in finding the meeting point. It was a great experience overall.
This is an outstanding tour. Manuel I think and Guido. Very informative and fun. Highly recommended for an overview of Rome.
Just so much fun... kids rode in the sidecar and had a once in a lifetime experience seeing an amazing city from a fun perspective. The tour guide Manuel is fun and friendly and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this for a family or couple.
Family of 5, we loved it. Great way to see and learn about Rome. The guides were great and the ride was really fun.
Had a great time on the vespers. Yes you don’t get to drive them yourself but the drivers were lovely. We saw most of Rome in 3 hours than what we would have done in 3 days. We had a great time and laugh.
This was the best trip we have ever done. It was absolutely brilliant, seeing many sights and parts of Rome. Our guide Stefano was brilliant. I totally recommend this
The tour guide was the total package: guide, historian, chauffeur, comedian, singer, counselor, model! . He was warm, engaging, funny, and clearly passionate about Roman history. He whisked me through the city and sprinkled in history, culture, hidden gems, and personal anecdotes, even an occasional serenade! I never felt unsafe; it was like he was born with the Vespa wheels. Some highlights: • A quiet, gorgeous moment at Fontana dell’Acqua Paola • The Aventine Hill and its dreamy views • A random bird adventure at the Roman Baths • A prosecco stop in Trastevere • Fun photos at the Pyramid of Cestius • The best souvenir video at the Colosseum He also took me to a completely unobstructed viewpoint of the Colosseum after sunset, it was one of the most beautiful sights I’ve seen. Seeing Rome after sundown a Vespa is like literal magic. We skipped traffic, zipped through tiny streets, and managed to see a ton of major attractions within the 3-hour tour. I had the best time and would recommend this experience to anyone without hesitation. The tour is perfect for solo travelers, couples, first-timers, even repeat visitors. It was the perfect mix of fun, learning, and pure Roman charm.
Excellent way to see the city and get a lay of the land. We saw places that I did not know about and would have never found on our own. This is also an excellent opportunity to get some recommendations for dining, drinking, and other sites to see. Manuel and Marco were both excellent.
Excellent tour guide. He was very clear and outgoing person. He likes to share all the information he will advise he will help he will support.
This was the absolute best way to see Rome. Not only is it fun to be part of the traffic and observe all of the people, the tour itself hit all the right spots. Our guide and drivers were fantastic. You truly get to places that you would not have gone to on your own and experience them up close and personal. I can’t recommend this any stronger, just do it, you won’t regret it.
We went to the Vatican earlier in the day and loved it. We also went to the Colosseum and enjoyed the tour there. But the Vespa night-time tour may have been the highlight of the day. It was so much fun. Our driver and guide, Stefan, was very good at his job. The ride in the side car was exciting. He was also very informative. During the tour, he bought us a Gelato, which was great. And at the very end, he drove us back to our hotel, saving us an expensive taxi ride. Highly, highly recommend this tour.
We had a wonderful night exploring Rome with Enrico and the tour group. Such a fun way to see a new city
Very nice tour with amazing information and the view as well! The tour guide was nice and very informal on the history of the city.
This could have been an interesting and fun tour but unfortunately it rained the whole time. In my opinion it should have been cancelled even if it was at the last minute. I got wet and cold and ended up with a cold. A poncho was provided but was not giving sufficient cover to keep me dry. It was a 6pm tour and because of rain and clouds it went dark earlier than usual so not a lot to see very well. The driver did not speak English so there was little to no commentary. Very disappointing as I had been told this was a fun tour.
Sidecar Vespa tour was a highlight of my 5 days in Rome. The driver, Simon was professional, friendly and safe. I never felt at risk from traffic. I requested that we end the tour at a slightly different location so I could make my next tour and it was no problem. It was a great, relaxing, contrast to the frantic walking and standing in lines.
I had a couple of days in Rome as a solo traveller. The sidecar tour given by Stephan was exceptional. I highly recommend this experience for everyone.
Super fun!! Great way to kick off my first time in Rome by doing this vespa tour around town. Our guide was great and knowledgeable. Super recommend and would do this again!
Well worth doing , it takes you to places you would not ordinarily see. Great riders Simon and guido
Great way to see Rome that is not accessible by other means. Our guide explained facts we never would have known.
Simon and the main driver were both AWESOME! We had a fabulous time the entire night! The evening was so much fun for my Mom, Sister, and myself. WOULD HIGHTLY recommend this tour.
Stefano was absolutely brilliant!! We had the best time and enjoyed every moment! I would highly recommend and have done already!!
Excellent way to see this amazing g city! Simone was our guide and he was excellent - do this you will not be disappointed!
Excellent guide, very knowledgeable and good sense of humor (even in the pouring rain). Fun ride on the Vespa. Would do it again.
The best way to see Rome. We were taken to all of the major sights in Rome for the best photo opportunities and enjoyed the knowledge of Andrea our driver and Simon the tour guide. Truly the best thing you could do.
Amazing experience! Simon was great! Very patient and explained every little details. Highly recommend! My daughter and I had an amazing time! Thank you Simon!
The absolute best way to see Rome! Our driver Manual was fun and informative! Would highly recommend this tour. 💜👍
Time to get down and dirty with the Roma traffic… What a great way to see the city! This was our honeymoon treat and it didn’t disappoint. Simone & Guido of Romaround tours, you were class! If you want a slightly different perspective of this beautiful city, I would 100% recommend! 3 hrs - worth every penny.
Thoroughly enjoyed this Italian experience through the narrow streets with beeping horns. Seeing the iconic sites from a different angle. Drivers were great, so much fun and certainly one to remember! DD and Mac.
FANTASTIC 3 HOURS! Our driver Oliver was great as were the whole group of drivers they gave us lots of opportunities for photos. Took us to many land marks and told us the history behind them. Nice touch stopping for ice cream (Gelato). Started to rain and they even provided us with ponchos. They were punctual and we got the full 3 hours. At the end was nice that they took you to your chosen destination. The Vespas looked in good condition and we felt safe. Definitely a great way to see Rome.
A very personable AND KNOWLEDGEABLE man who made my experience, safe, fun, rewarding and a joy to get to know! I would have him as my guide anytime for any destination! You are lucky to have such a wonderful employee, he gets this tour a good name.
Had an amazing tour. The ride was pleasant and comfortable and we got a nice breeze throughout. Stefano was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain the many areas that he took us to. He also took great photos and knew exactly where to take them. Overall, this is a must do when visiting Rome.
If you are looking for a thrilling way to see unique parts of Rome, I would highly recommend you to book this tour. My husband, myself and kids 18 and 21 throughly enjoyed the tour with Simon, Marco and Guido. We took the 10am, English speaking tour and we learned and saw so much. All three drivers made us feel welcomed, comfortable and we never felt unsafe as we zipped through the city streets of Rome. It seemed as though there was a nice, fun surprise around every corner. And if you are a picture person…. this is the tour for you. Not only do they take you to picturesque location but they offered to be our personal photographers allowing us to capture amazing family picture. I can’t say enough great things about this tour and when I had a question about meeting location, I called the provided phone number and Theresa answered directly and was so helpful and kind! From start to finish (dropped off at our hotel) the experience was amazing and unforgettable. Thank you Simon, Marco and Guido for being a wonderful part of our Rome family adventure.
So much fun! Great way to see a lot of the city quickly. Great drivers. Fun stop for gelato. Highly recommend for parents and kids!
Great family tour. Teenager and 5 year old both loved it! You get to see the parts of the tour not on the regular maps. Must do!
Such a fun way to see Italy! Had a fabulous time with experienced driver Marco - shown all the top tourist spots - felt totally safe and had a great time - thank you Marco!
Adventurous and saw of the city. Learned a lot from the translator and driver. Took lots of pictures and videos while driving.
Such a great experience and perfect way to zip around Rome and get a taste of all the different things. Highly recommend.
What a wonderful way to see Rome. We went places I never thought of going. Simon, our driver, was friendly, helpful, and a great tour guide as we rode along. Roberto was great as the main tour guide. I would do this again.
We had such a fun and authentic Vespa experience with Andreas and Roberto. Great tour guides and lots of great insights, views and good fun!
A great way to see many of the main sites of Rome while experiencing the thrill of being in a sidecar or on the back of a Vespa. The guide was excellent and each driver took good care of their passengers. A good stop for gelato or a drink. Great photo opportunities! Highly recommend if you want an overview of Rome in a super fun way.
Guide and driving crew was amazing , they were friendly and made tour interesting and fun , we were a group of 9 on 4 vespas with 5 kids between 7-14 years. Everyone loved it .
This was a tour that we did on our last full day in Rome. And lucky for us we saved the best for last without even knowing. Stefano, our guide, was amazing. Very friendly and he knew all of the nice scenic spots around the city. He was even nice enough to stop and take pictures of us as we stopped at every location. We would definitely do it again and we plan on doing so next time we are in Rome. Everything about the tour was amazing.
