Tural was amazing! He was friendly, knowledgeable, and made our visit to Venice unforgettable. He shared so much history, local insight, and hidden gems that we never would have discovered on our own. We truly got more than we expected from the tour. His enthusiasm and passion for Venice made the experience even more enjoyable. We highly recommend booking a tour with Total if you want a fun, informative, and memorable experience in Venice

Itinerary
Grand Canal, the largest canal in Venice, built in Venetian-Gothic style. Venice’s canals, which cross the city like streets, are one of the most notable feature of Venice. The largest is the Grand Canal, which divides the city in two, with its four kilometers in length.
Campanile di San Giorgio dei Greci, or the 'leaning clocktower', was designed by Simone Sorella and completed in 1592. It apparently started tilting from the beginning of its construction. Like its adjoining church, the bell tower was built by and for the Greek community in Venice, primarily sailors and merchants. You will also have the chance to see the Sanctuary of St.Lucy.
The widest street in Venice. The entire route, which is made up of wide streets connected by bridges, was created during the 19th century to create rapid pedestrian access between Rialto and the railway station, demolishing the buildings that would otherwise delimit a long tortuous path between narrow streets.
The Rialto bridge is the oldest of the four bridges spanning the Grand Canal in Venice. It is famous for both its architecture and its history. For years it was the hub of Venice's economy.
St. Mark's square is the principal public square in Venice and is one of the most fascinating squares in the world, so much so that Napoleon Bonaparte defined it as "the most beautiful hall in Europe". The Patriarchal Cathedral Basilica of Saint Mark, commonly known as St Mark's Basilica, is the cathedral church of the Patriarchate of Venice. The interior of the domes, the vaults, and the upper walls were slowly covered with gold-ground mosaics depicting saints, prophets, and biblical scenes.
Called the Bridge of Sighs by locals, this emblematic monument of Venice was built in the 1600s and connects the Doge's Palace with the historic prison on the other side of the canal. It was given this name because tradition has it that, at the time of the Serenissima, the prisoners, crossing it, sighed at the prospect of seeing the outside world for the last time.
The Church of San Zaccaria is a 15th-century former monastic church in central Venice. It is a large edifice, located in the Campo San Zaccaria. The present church was built between 1458 and 1515. The facade is a harmonious Venetian mixture of late-Gothic and Renaissance styles.
The Ponte dell'Accademia is one of only four bridges to span the Grand Canal in Venice. It crosses near the southern end of the canal, and is named for the Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia.
The squero of San Trovaso is one of the oldest and most famous Venetian squeros. The squero is the classic shipyard where small-sized boats such as gondolas are repaired. Have a peek at how a gondola is made or repaired!
Reach the beautiful Campo San Pantalon to admire the beautiful painting by Banksy commonly referred to as "the shipwrecked/migrant child".
Campo Santa Margherita is a city square in the sestiere of Dorsoduro of Venice. It is located near university buildings and serves as a gathering place for students at the end of the day.
Piazzale Roma is a square at the entrance of the city, at the end of the Ponte della Libertà. Piazzale Roma and nearby Tronchetto island are the only places in Venice's insular urban core accessible to ground motor vehicles, such as automobiles and buses.

My wife and I were very lucky to be the only 2 people on our tour. But more than that we were lucky to have Zahra as our tour guide. Zahra met us at the train station with a warm smile and made us feel at ease from that first moment. The beauty of Venice was breathtaking but Zahra’s extensive knowledge of all the things Venice made every moment we spent there a dream come true. She showed us everything we were expecting but also the side of Venice that only those who live there or visit often will ever experience. My wife and I are planning on returning to Venice but will spend more time there. Such an incredible tour of an amazing city.
It was a good day trip with a super good guide We enjoyed the day and learned about the city without getting overloaded with data
This review is on the price paid vs what is received. The train ride is basic. Considering the $800+ paid you’d think you’d get better seat selection for the 4 hr ride. The booking does not include any amenities such as a gondola ride. Nothing against the tour guide as he was knowledgeable but an $800+ tour price to have someone walk you throughout the island for 4 hrs is not worth the price.
Absolutely best tour guide in the business, Sneh Wayne. He deserve plus 50 points to his review score. He really allowed up to absorb the beauty and culture of Venice. He was very knowledgeable and receptive to what we were looking for in the trip.
Very poor communication and was very difficult to get in touch. We missed our train due to the lack of contact
This tour makes for a long but incredibly memorable and rewarding day. The guided tour in Venice is end-to-end; our guide (Sneh) contacted me via Whatsapp while we were still on the train, met us in the train station, and escorted us back to the train to be right on time for boarding back to Rome. The highlight of the tour is obviously the guided experience in Venice. The tour is fairly customizable to your desires; we wanted to take a gondala ride, and Sneh made sure we were able to do that (despite the challenges of actually finding an available gondolier which turned out to be something of a challenge on a relatively less-busy day). My wife and I both had visited Venice previously on tours; on this tour, we visited parts of the city that we had not visited before and learned things on this tour that we did not know before. It was great for us that it felt like a “new” experience for us. Our guide was very engaging withour teenaged sons, who had lots of questions. Sneh has a very obvious and contagious love of all things Venetian, and that made the tour all the more memorable and enjoyable. He clearly knows his city and its history. Sneh’s recommendations for coffee/lunch and then later a quick bite to take with us on the train were both fantastic (and also time-efficient and relatively budget-friendly). Regarding logistics, the tour starts early in the morning. We were on a train that left Rome at about 7:30am, and of course you need to make sure you are at the train station in time for departure. When booking our pick-up from our hotel via this tour, we did not realize that the tour would not pick us up unless our hotel was inside the Aurelian Walls (this was our mistake), so this is something to be aware of when booking the tour if you are trying to take advantage of the pick-up option. The train ride was comfortable, but long - a little over 4 hours on the way there, and right at 4 hours on the way back. This leaves slightly under 4 hours in Venice. My wife and I were on the fence about whether this timing would make the trip “worth it”, but we were pleased that we both felt that the quality of the tour experience in Venice was so good, that it absolutely was the right decision for us. (We also had limited time available on our overall vacation, so this was a great option for us to be able to see and experience Venice in a manner that was an economical use of our time). If you have limited time and cannot stay overnight in Venice, this is a great alternative to be able to get an insightful and immersive 3.5 hour tour of Venice from your home-base of Rome. As with most of these experiences, the quality of the guided experience is what makes it even more memorable, and that was definitely the case for this tour.
Venice is absolutely beautiful. Our tour guide Sneh Wayne made the experience even better. He was very knowledgeable about the history of Venice and took us to all of the must see locations. Our train arrived an hour late, and we were worried we would not get to see much however, Sneh contacted us and offered to switch our departure train time to an hour later. I was nervous taking this tour based on other reviews, but we had a great experience. Would recommend.
My day trip was amazing my tour guide Sneh Wayne was very attentive, knowledgeable, excellent manners and made me feel at home. I saw Venice with different eyes because of him. Tijana also went an extra mile to make me feel at home in their own home! Will be back to Venice and it is all because of them. They introduce me to main dishes and Venetian drinks I felt like a local. Overall love the tour but mostly loved the people I saw through their eyes!
Do not rely on the transportation to the train had to get our own at last minute barely made it once in Venice guide was there to meet us and that part was good
Venice was absolutely beautiful, a definite must see! However, our morning ride showed up 30 minutes early and then he tried to drop us off 2 blocks from the train station stating he was in a hurry and had another pick up and he wasn't a "taxi-service". Also, the trip info stated that pick up and drop off were at the same spot (our airbnb) but there was no ride after we returned from the day trip and we had to get a $71 Uber home at 830pm.
This tour is much too rushed. Four hour train ride each way, doesn't allow much time in Venice. Our guide rushed us through seeing everything and didn't wait for us to look around or take photos. It felt like our guide wanted to be anywhere else but with us.
I was very disappointed with the price (804.00 Euros ) and what was included .They booked the. Train (4 hours each way - 8 hours total) and a guide that met me there. I went alone to all the sights that required a ticket. The church, tower, gondola. She walked around with me in between and was very nice but I learned nothing new. I could have easily done this on my own for 200.00 euros on faster train. I do not recommend this.
Fabio took us to the train station and explained which train to take. Su, our guide in Venice, was kind and knowledgeable. The gondola ride was my favorite part, although I somehow missed that the fee was not included. It was a jam packed day!
The tour guide, Su, was excellent. We enjoyed our tour and got to see all the major sites. The train ran 55 minutes late getting to Venice and our tour guide waited for us which we were so grateful for.
Su Aydin was our tour guide and she was great. She was very knowledgeable and provided great recommendations. She accommodate our requests as well.
Our guide, Su Aydin, customized the tour for our interests. She was very informative and very personable making it fun and enjoyable. She showed us the ins and outs of Venice and shared its rich history. We saw the key landmarks of Venice and learned the significance of each one.
We paid for a private tour. The tour guide was at best disinterested. There was very little planning or guidance t on show or explain the area or the sights. The cost of this tour was extravagant but was very disappointing. I would recommend anyone to save their money and go on your own.
"Terrible" rating because the tour became unavailable due to a "train strike". Not blaming the tour operator, but that's just the way I see it. Wish we had known sooner that the tour would be canceled, and we would have made other plans. We were able to see that train tickets could be purchased from Rome to Pisa. I am speculating that the tour operator was not willing to put in the extra effort to switch us to another train and keep our tour. They recommended that we switch days, but obviously, with one day's notice, that was not possible. All other days/tours were sold out and we were unable to switch. Unfortunate for everyone but the politicians and lobbyist. Good luck with the train strike!
We were so happy with this excursion! Our guide, Alessandra, made sure we saw everything we wanted to see in Venice and made great suggestions for lunch and gelato. She also took us to the gondola ride, which we were so excited to do! She also escorted us back to the train, to make sure we got on the right one! It was a great day in Venice, and worth the train ride!
Giada is an amazing tour guide , very professional , knowledgeable and she let us see remarkable spots in Venice even only for the span of 4 hours .
Our guide Su was phenomenal! We missed the train but she waited and extended our day! The tour was excellent and all encompassing of the beautiful city of Venice! She has first hand knowledge, very pleasant and easy to understand! Worth every penny and then some!
The itinerary listed is very misleading. Implies 1 hour at multiple sites throughout Venice, total tour says 6:30am to 11pm. Reality is much less, time on the train was 8 hours with only 5 hours in Venice, if you take a gondola ride (worthwhile), and lunch, only time left is to power walk the streets
First, It took quite a bit of effort to get the train tickets. Only after talking with a Viator person did I get the train tickets. The tour guide in Venice was great and I'd highly recommend this tour!
Everything was excellent. Train very comfortable and on time. Mehmet was waiting for us and we had a wonderful time exploring the city. He hooked us up with a terrific gondola ride. Photos at all the bridges and explored several narrow out of the way streets, fancy shopping areas, St. Marks, etc. We had a wonderful day.
The two bad reviews had me concerned about this trip. But I’m happy to say that I was extremely surprised at how well everything went. We were picked up at our door and taken to the train station. I was sent the train tickets the day prior and once at the train station, everything was pretty easy to figure out. Note about the trains, they board 10 mins before. The time given is the departing time and they are ON TIME. Make sure you’re standing at your platform at least 10 mins before. We caught the train to Venice and our guide Mehmet met us there. He was fantastic. Not only a good person but a wealth of knowledge and extremely patient with us. Overall I had a great time. and would do it again.
Worst experience, don’t spend the money. They say they will send you, your train ticket 7-24 hours before, that’s a lie they send you the same voucher that you get when booking and that’s not your train ticket. Then when you call and email at 6am when your at the tea station downloading the tickets, you find out it’s not the tickets. We didn’t know since we have never been to Italy before, nor have we been on a train before and our vouchers for other excursions were the same. Then when you request a refund- they won’t take accountability for it, which really relfects on the company itself. Do not waiste your money, that you won’t get back. It’s a joke and a scam. But your own train ticket and go to saint marks square it’s so with it on your own. Since that is what we did the next day. We really wish we didn’t spend the money on a scam
The tour includes on ly train ticket and effective 2hrs guided tour at venice. Operator charges 4 times the money required for the tour without additional support. The hotel to train station is around 15-20 tax ride. Return train ticket is around 100 euro per person. 2 hrs tour guide. Which you dont even need as he jsut walks around with you but nothing much explaination and on return no drop to hotel. So effectively 140 euro trip is charged at 490 euro. So please avoid this tour and just book the return train ticket and go on yoursefl as you will not be lost on this tinny place.
Awesome tour, great tour guide and lots of scenery locations. Many thanks to the professional guide and helpful tour management team. Very much appreciated.
We booked a stress-free private day-tour of Venice from Rome through Viator. It included pick up at our hotel near the Colosseum, train tickets, drop-off at the train station. Our tour guide, Mehmet, was punctually waiting or us at the station in Venice. He was, pleasant, genuine, and had a thorough knowledge of Venice's history, architecture and events, and he was very accommodating to our needs and requests. We were very lucky to have him as a guide.
Mehmet was very knowledgeable and friendly. My birthday was amazing in Venice. Mehmet took us through all the major streets and gave us the history and current updates on what's going on in the city. We walked over 17 different bridges and got to ride on the boat. Wonderful day trip!
The trip was good, however we had a hard time finding the train on our own.. Probably a little more direction on how to find the train and how the train system work in Rome.
Dogan Acar escorted us on a wonderful walking tour of Venice! His knowledge of the history of this special city was an added benefit! Highly recommend!
Gondola ride with our guide taking pictures for us. Lot of memories. Dream comes true. Will do it again any time.
The driver that picked us up at the hotel was very prompt and walked us to our train station area and assured us we would be picked up at the end when we came back. When we got to Venice, our tour guide, Daphne was there waiting for us, and was a pleasure to be with, she treated us like we were family or old friends. I would recommend her for any tour when we arrived back in Rome and came off the train. Our driver was not there and we waited 1/2 hour for him to show up. He didn’t unfortunately, as we were very tired , we were disappointed and had to find a taxi back to our hotel. What is the oil? Otherwise everything was wonderful.
Our tour guide, while working on her masters degree, has been living in Venice for four years. She made sure we learned the interesting facts , like there are 420 bridges connecting the 6 regions of Venice. That Mozart lived there as a child, and you can see his house. Many other interesting facts, and made sure we took a gondola ride and went to the top of the bell tower to see a complete 360 degree view of Venice
We had a great guide, so personable. A lot of walking but we saw everything we expected and we had a gondola ride in addition. Weather was perfect. She guided us back to the train station in time. The churches and cathedrals were awesome.
Our guide, Defne, was wonderful!! She took the time to understand what we were interested in and helped us have the best experience we could have imagined. Ask for her.
seeing the city for 1st time. You don’t want to miss, bring history to life. . Too many people. Took gondola experience
Unfortunately we didn't enjoy our tour as our guide was a 22 yo young student, who spoke hard to understand english. We were given no real history because quite honestly I don't think he knew any. He was on his phone the entire time, and even took some wrong turns getting around. He was a super sweet kid, and very polite and nice. He just didn't know how to be a good guide
Do not provide edequate guidance for getting the train ticket at the train station. Lucky we came 40 min early and asked around to get ticket
We had a fantastic time on this tour! We had a private transfer pick us up at our hotel in Rome and take us to the train station. Our private guide, Mehmet, met us at the train station in Venice and showed us all around Venice, pointing things out to us along the way and answering any questions we had. He directed us to some good restaurants and took us to a glass shop for souvenirs. We loved this tour and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a quick overview of Venice. Now we would like to go back and spend some good, quality time in Venice!
Mehmet was a great guide. There is no driver from the train station back to your hotel. Be prepared for that.
The tour did a great job of seeing Venice’s highlights in a few hours. We took the water taxi while in Venice and not the gondola. If you want to take the gondola, it takes more time and costs additional. A driver picks you and drops you off at train station, you take the train to Venice and a tour guy meets you there to do a walking tour of Venice with a stop for lunch. After your tour, you then get dropped off at the train station and take a train back. I would recommend, ensuring you know who your driver is, his phone number, when he is picking you up. Be sure to have your train tickets in advance. Get the name/number of your tour guide for Venice and where you will be meeting him in the train station. FYI, you have to arrange your own transportation to your hotel from the train station on return.
Beautiful place and guide was great even though we would have loved alone time and wayyyyy overpriced!!!!!
As previously stated, this was a horrible experience. The driver delivered us to the train stop late and could not direct us to a meeting point. The guide left early and would not answer phone calls. He left without us. Visitor would not answer phone calls for help. The driver - who did answer eventually - hung up. Horrible, horrible experience and customer service
Our Guide was so knowledgeable and just the nicest. He was very understanding with the hard time my dad was having with all the walking. The Gondola ride was sooooo worth it. Really cool experience!
This was the worst experience I have ever had with a tour company. DO NOT USE THEM!!! The descriptions says the tour begins at 6.30 am but pickup will be 30-60 minutes before the tour begins. Representative came to the hotel at 5.15 for pickup, stayed for 1 minute and left without us. Not only was he earlier than the given time period he also did not wait until the actual pickup time for us. I paid $900 for a private tour, there was no one else to pickup?? why did he come early? why did he rush off without us? Numerous calls were immediately placed to the representative and the tour operator and no answer. So disappointed and not what I expected for the price I paid. I filed a complaint and disputed the charges and they have a no refund policy. This is a scam.
Our tour guide was prompt, personable and full of knowledge! We saw everything expected and then some, many beautiful sights and food stops. He shared lots of fun facts. We thoroughly enjoyed the full day from Rome to Venice and back, everything in between. Great tour.
Julian was excellent. Had 5 hours in Venice and it was well spent with him. He took us to most important parts he was extremely patient. Took us to ok jewelry location of the glass blowing and wonderful lunch. Then got to surprise my wife with a Gondola ride for her birthday. We loved Julian. Will love to see him again.
