Great tour of the museum and chapel

I would have enjoyed the experience more if I could have understood our guide. He was very knowledgeable but spoke too quickly with a thick accent

Thanks to Google Maps, we were dropped off in the wrong area, and almost missed the tour. After getting to the correct destination, our guide did a wonderful job of explaining things before, especially the Sistine Chapel, which was chaos once we got into the room.

George was great and very knowledgeable! The headsets were awful and no one could keep them on their ears!

There were many problems with this tour. Some in our group were promised a tour of St. Peter’s basilica at the end and were told it wasn’t happening so we’re very angry. The guide was very unhelpful and rude and said it is what it is. She sent off the angry people and then sprinted ahead, not caring that some of the group were left behind across the street. Her tour itself was given at such a high rate of speed that many of us couldn’t understand what she was saying and had to ask around to figure it out. Very disappointed.

Guide had nothing interesting to say. Literally not one word. The group was too large. Also instead of asking the tourists if they know something and making them feel stupid, just provide some information of interest

The tour runs a solid 3 hours with many details and insights. The tour guide has a great deal of knowledge.

The tour guide was great! The tour company is very professional and organized. My rating is for the Vatican itself. I thought I'd love it; I love history and art and architecture. The Sistine chapel was probably the only thing worth seeing and even then by the time we got there we were exhausted and claustrophobic from the enormous crowds. We had also already seen so much ceiling art by then (pretty much every ceiling in every hall is ornately painted) that it lost a little of its magic. Seeing all the ostentatious displays of wealth throughout Vatican City made me very uncomfortable. Especially after walking by all the homeless people outside the city walls. Honestly, visiting the Vatican put a bit of a dark cloud over the entire day. Definitely use this guide service, but go to the colosseum or something instead!

This site is amazing to see. The tour guide was very knowledge and really made the site come alive. The effort required to dig it out is unbelievable. The multi story buildings are more complete than Pompeii. The wood that was carbonized and can be seen is fantastic. I highly recommend touring with a guide, really makes the experience.

I was a little late by 4 minutes. The guide did not wait and tour agency never helped me to join the group. Rather they suggested me to enter the vatican museum myself, which was highly disappointing and waste of my money.

The tour was super detailed! Marco was really engaging. Really loved the in depth explanation of the paintings in the Sistine.

We met a nice guider named Maco, he is knowledgeable and considerate. We learnt a lot from him and during the trip it was worried-free cuz our guider always accompanied us. So it’s a very nice trip!

It’s a scam! Avoid them at all cost. They denied our check in and claimed that their staff didn’t work there after having us waited for an hour. Here’s the full story. So there was a guy behind the counter named Mario to check us in. He claimed to be the manager of the place. He told us that we needed to do it fast. But after he talked to another staff he said the tour had left. However, he understood that we were on time and he would try to help us. We waited for an hour just to find out that he disappeared. So we went back to the counter to talk to other staffs, who told us that the guy Mario didn’t work here. And then another staff came to tell us that Mario was new so he didn’t know what he’s talking about. We demanded to have him come back so they called him. Mario came back half an hour later. During the wait time they repeatedly asked us to leave the premise. They also threatened us that they would call the police if we don’t leave. We refused and insisted that they should call Mario back. The agency was rude, loud and I have all the reasons to believe that they over sold their tickets, which was why they denied our check in. We were at their office before the tour time but they said we were late. We asked to see the surveillance camera, but they said they don’t have one. So basically they can say whatever they want. We called the police, but the police couldn’t help us as we didn’t have proof that we were there on time - I did not know that I need to keep evidence of my arrival time and I am unsure what kind of evidence I could provide. So at the end, after waiting for more than two hours, we lost our money, filed a police report and had to buy another tour. If something similar happen to you, forget fighting with them or calling the police. Cut your loss and go do something else.

Booked months in advance through Viator. messaged them many times through Viator to confirm and verify pick up location ... arrived at location at 720AM ... . no one there ...texted, called..them no response other tour guides never heard of them. At about 845AM got a text saying Tour was cancelled! I have a photo. They charged me $ 296.50 THROUGH VIATOR.COM ! At 810 AM called Viator to get to tour agency, they got no response! I filed a Complaint again through Viator. I recommend you either book them to ruin your holiday OR book them for an enemy to ruin their holiday and to make your day! I consider them a criminal tour agency., shame on them !

We booked a tour in the Vatican via GetyourGuide, the tour was provided by Enjoy Rome. The tour made Maire-Lena who had really great and interesting facts for us. The tour lasted over 3 hours. After a short walk we went to the visitor entrance check in the Vatican - group tours should have priority here, so the check-in was relatively quick and did not have to queue up at the normal line. It is advisable to wear suitable clothing even at high temperatures, inform yourself in advance about the dress code in St. Peter's Basilica. St. Peter's Basilica (which we explored ourselves at the end) and the Sistine Chapel were explained separately in advance. Later on. The tour through the museum can hardly be enjoyed by the many tour groups and sometimes there is only a little time to concentrate on certain things as the museum guards send you straight on. In the Sistine Chapel then unfortunately the disappointment. Before entering you are advised NOT TO SPEAK and to be quiet - - well, if it weren't for the other groups and the at least 3 museum guards were their radios on stop volume. Unfortunately, in the room itself, you are crammed in the middle like a flock of sheep - take this quite literally - you then have far too little space and, above all, far too little time to let this incredible and historic hall only begin to look at you. A thanks goes out again to our guide who, as mentioned, has already informed us very well about the chapel in advance and went into detail on display board. In St. Peter's Basilica itself, it was a bit more relaxed and with the plan we received you could find your way around quite well, but here too you should plan a lot of time - there is a lot to discover. Conclusion: You can book here with peace of mind, the tour pays off !!!! Negative to mention are unfortunately only the one-sided headphones that we got for better understanding - normal headphones for both ears would be much better here apart from that you have to concentrate very much because despite all efforts the German pronunciation was partly laborious to understand as long as the ambient noise was also very noticeable. Another negative aspect - but here Enjoy Rome can't help it - I think it's a pity that in such unique sights you are simply pushed through as if on an assembly line, without even having the slightest amount of time to let what you see seem - the main thing is that you deserve from it and not too little. The Vatican itself is definitely worth a visit !!!!

He managed with his explanations and descriptions of the works of art to prepare us and make us appreciate even more the frescoes by Raphael and Michelangelo. In his exhibition there has always been an enrichment of historical, cultural and art history notions and references. A challenging tour, but it was really worth it. Congratulations!!

Visit with Civitatis. Unprofessional guide. The Sistine chapel was given very few minutes. He said goodbye at the entrance of the chapel with the apology that inside could not speak (there were inside guides of other companies). In the visit to Vatican museums half were personal opinions, few objective data. A waste of time. I did a guided tour of the basilica yesterday and the coliseum the day before with other companies and nothing to do with professional guides
