Brilliant experience. Very crowded in Summer even early in morning. The ticket provider here was excellent and got us in past all the queues. Note that the collection point is away from Vatican but not too far away.

We had a great visit to the Vatican Museums without waiting in long queues, well worth it! Was a lot better than expected
Was a bit complicated on how to actually receive your paper ticket then walk to another area find the line you’re supposed to get into and then be herdedwith hundreds of people pushing each other. It was not fun.
It was 30 degrees C outside and the line for even timed entry was stretching down the block, but we were able to enter with no line at all. Totally worth it. Can be busy inside with tour groups, but if you wait a little bit they moved along, and I can enjoy at my own pace.
Tour guide is underwhelming. And there isn’t enough depth to the history of of the building to require a guide.. go in without anyone.
It was very easy to meet and collect tickets, entry was smooth, skipping the line was the best decision.
Quick and friendly service. Walked us directly to the front of the line and it appeared that it saved us at least 45 minutes to 1 hour of waiting. Would highly recommend!
We were a little sceptical when booking as we didn’t have a lot to go off, there weren’t many reviews and was expensive but this was the only tour available left as we let it too late too book. We’re so glad we did! The queues were HUGE so when we got to the meeting point (their shop) a lovely gentleman met us and two other groups, and we all walked up to the museum entrance together. He made sure we all go in and explained how to get in as me and my partner needed different queue lines for the tickets they booked but that was literally for 2 seconds the rest of the time we were together. Like I said a bit expensive but we left it too late to book, was definitely still worth it as the queues were massive, we skipped all that and walked right in. Tryst worthy supplier and friendly chaperone to the front entrance.
Everything was amazing, just too crowdy, skip the line is worth 100%, because people were waiting in the lines
The Vatican museums and Sistine Chapel were stunning, beautiful, and overwhelming. This was our first time in Rome and the Vatican, so having tickets prepaid was helpful. The crowds were enormous, so going in ahead of most saved hours of standing in line. Even in October, the Roman sun was melting us. The museums were better than most we have experienced. The Chapel was, by itself, a must see item, filled with historical and religious awe. I do suggest a guided tour, or else you will miss too much of significant art, archeology, and context. We walked for almost 4 hours, about 5,000+ steps, and were exhausted by the end, and still did not see everything. This tour was so much worthwhile, but I do recommend a guided tour.
Never mentioned that I had to pick tickets elsewhere so missed seeing the Vatican very annoying poor communication
Don’t expect to show up and receive your fully prepaid ticket! I arrived at the predetermined spot at 9:40 for a 10AM ticket. Waited until 10 when the tour operator arrived. He did not have my ticket. He told me he never got it. He then spent 15 minutes walking me around the neighborhood trying to convince me to take some other tour later in the day but I could not do that because I had already scheduled other events, bought tickets etc. This was a scam and I ended up not being able to see the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel. Buy tickets from the official Vatican website, not from this scammer.
Plenty to see. Lots of walking particularly to the Sistine Chapel which is breathtaking. Well worth a half day at least
Experience booked for 12:00. We have been called at 21:00 the night before to mention we should be there at 11:00. The real ticket costs 25€ but we paid 75€. The only difference is the fact that someone is leading you to the queue.
Beautiful museum! Crowded! Buy Skip the line tickets- worth the extra $$!
I almost never write reviews, but this experience was bad enough that I feel like other travelers need to know about it. We purchased Vatican tickets through Viator for **2:30 PM**.Our booking confirmation clearly said 2:30 PM, both online and on the confirmation we received. Then, around **1:30 PM**, I suddenly started receiving calls and WhatsApp messages from a number I didn’t recognize asking, “Where are you?” I explained that we were about 30 minutes away and would actually be arriving around 30 minutes BEFORE our scheduled time. Instead of explaining what was happening, they just kept telling us that we needed to get there as soon as possible. When we finally arrived at the meeting point, a man we had never met basically said, “You’re Bosco? Okay, follow me,” and immediately took off toward the Vatican. My wife and I then spent about 10 minutes literally chasing this stranger through the streets near Vatican City. He was moving so quickly that we were practically running behind him. We didn’t know his name, what was happening, or why there was suddenly such an emergency when our confirmed tickets weren’t supposed to be until 2:30. Eventually, we reached the Vatican. He handed us the tickets, pointed us toward the entrance, and quickly left. That’s when we discovered the problem. The Vatican employee looked at the tickets and told us they were actually for **1:30 PM**, not 2:30 PM. We showed him our Viator confirmation clearly stating 2:30 PM. He explained that the agency had messed up and issued us tickets for the wrong time and that, technically, we could no longer enter. So despite purchasing and receiving confirmation for 2:30 PM tickets, **we almost missed the Vatican entirely because the agency provided us with 1:30 PM tickets.** Thankfully, the Vatican staff were incredibly kind. The employee escalated the situation to several other people, and after explaining what happened and showing them our confirmation, they graciously decided to let us in even though they were under no obligation to do so. The only reason we got into the Vatican was because of the kindness and understanding of the Vatican staff, NOT because this booking went correctly. For something this important, especially when people are traveling internationally and may only have one opportunity to visit the Vatican, this is completely unacceptable. We did everything correctly on our end and still almost lost the experience because the agency issued tickets for a completely different time than the one we purchased. I would absolutely recommend booking directly with the Vatican instead of taking the risk we did.
Our guides were especially helpful & attentive-they contacted us personally about our tour & how to find the meeting point. They were absolutely wonderful!!
Poor service and late admission. Our guide was late arriving at the ticket pickup point and late delivering us to the entrance of the museums. We wasted 30+ minutes at the pickup location and as a result, we were 12 minutes late arriving at the Museum entry point.
Great experience. Guide walked us right to the entrance. Skipped the three hour wait. Well worth the money.
It’s very very well worth buying a skip the line ticket. The line ups into the museum were huge and we were able to walk right in. When you do get in, there is huge crowds. It’s hard to take your time the crowds will pull you along. The art is amazing.
What a great process and smooth way to experience the Vatican museum! The organisers were friendly & clear. Absolutely mindblowing, would highly recommend
Had an amazing experience in Rome. Everything was well organized, easy to follow, and made it possible to see a lot of the city without feeling overwhelmed. Rome is incredible—the history, architecture, food, and energy of the streets are something you have to experience in person. Definitely a memorable part of my Italy trip and something I’d recommend to anyone visiting for the first time.
Sprained my ankle on a tour before this one, so I couldn't go. Remember, that this is non-refundable.
Worth it! Everyone else was waiting in a 5 hour line in 30 degree weather. Was awesome just to walk right in.
If you can't plan your Vatican Museum visit before the Museum's own timed-entry tickets for your available dates are sold out, Viator may be able to help. Their "skip-the-line" service isn't exactly cheap, but it looks pretty reasonable if you view it in terms of the value of rescuing your plan. Plus, it's not just the tickets -- their representative literally walked us through the entry process all the way up to the security scan of their voucher, showed us exactly how to proceed from there, and offered some helpful tips on maximizing our enjoyment of the visit. Definitely money well spent!
You need to walk a little way from the Vatican City to the ticket office. It was worth the walk as with tickets in hand we had skip the line and passed a 3 hr queue!! The museums are huge and there is so much to see. A lot of walking. We bought an audio guide machine and earphones inside which cost £19 for us both. I didn’t realise we didn’t have entry to St Peter’s basilica as part of our ticket but there are tour guides outside the perimeter. Selling these for around 30€ pp. well worth the guided tour. So informative
Absolutely brilliant! Well done Viator, an excellent tour. Having found the pick up point, very deta0iled info provided. Easy to join the skip the Q and once inside, all fell into place. Suggest you allow 2/3 hrs as so much to see. Plenty of free toilets along the route. Sistene chapel was almost an anti climax.
It was easy to book our skip the line tickets with Viator. We received a detailed message where to meet our contact prior to entering the Vatican Museum, with a detailed description prior to going in. It was very easy and helpful and would recommend these tickets if you want to skip the line and enjoy the museum on your own.
The Viator person was awesome. We had a minor issue with the tickets scanning and the museum was great and we got through. Something people should know is that there are lots of people!!
Experience was amazing I highly recommend this tour group. Michelle was super friendly and she gave us really good tips and advices The whole process was smooth and while everyone else was struggling to find their way in and had to stay in long queues, Michelle guided us to the entrance and we literally did not have to wait a minute in line ! Definitely recommend this
Skipping the line to get in was great However, once you get in, it was jampacked and once you enter, you can’t leave at any point until the very end No air-conditioning, very hot impact with people that are very hard to get around to make your way to the exit We asked a few times along the way is there another way we can leave and they told us no you have to go through the all the exhibits
Everything went smoothly, the staff was really kind and the service was great! I forgot to bring a scarf with me to enter the Sistine chapel and they gave me one as a gift so I really appreciate it!
Skipping the line was the best thing to do since you save hours. Since you take the tour by yourself you can take as long as you want so that was very nice. The instructions where very clear and I would recommend this tour to anyone that doesn’t like tours with large groups of people
So so good! Went to the ticket office, they walked me and my family all the way up past the 3-4hr queues and we went straight in. So worth the money!
I went with my mom and grandma who had a difficult time keeping up with the guide showing us to the museums. The Vatican museums are insanely crowded right from the entry point to the exit. You are caught in a stream of people, unable to stop and admire the art, and the sound of tour guides shouting at every corner makes for quite a cacophony. When we finally entered the Sistine chapel, we were marched through the room within 30 seconds and none of us actually managed to see the Creation of Adam before we were out again. How should my 80 yar old grandma be able to take in anything when never allowed to stop for a moment and forced to walk at a brisk pace? The only thing you have time to focus on is not to lose the rest of your family in the crowd. It is an entirely stressful experience that will leave you absolutely drained by the time you finally manage to get out again.
The skip the line was absolutely worth it and prepare a very long time to stay. There’s so much to take in.
This was perfect! Got to skip all the lines and they walked us to the entrance. They were very informative and helpful!
Our coordinator was great. Very informative and sweet. You do get to go right in but not a fast past to the chapel, just entrance in. We were a little confused by that but the service and the product was great. We would rebook.Michelle is the best
The experience was great! Very friendly and knowledgeable. They walked us all the way up to the front, we would have gotten lost.
The staff kindly accompanied me to the entrance and showed me where to go The line was extremely long and I’m glad I didn’t have to wait two hours to get inside
I was late because I took the taxi from the hotel, there was a lot of traffic so I messaged the agency and they answered me back quickly, and said that it was fine. The lady in the desk was really nice and told me where to buy a scarf because I totally forgot that you need to cover your shoulders to visit the Sistine Chapel. The museum is so big and I think that without the recommendations I would’ve been lost, so I really enjoyed it
My friend and I went for the first time To the Vatican museums and were so glad we didn’t have to wait in the line because it’s so hot in Rome. The prices to skip the line seemed expensive at first, but they are worthy. The staff at the meeting point were nice and helpful, and thanks to their recommendations we saw rooms and paintings that we would have missed because the museum is huge. So we really enjoy it
This is 100% a SCAM!!! We arrived at the office with our voucher in hand. We waited for a representative to come back from taking other people over to the Vatican, located just a short distance away from the office. When he came back, he gave us our tickets. He walked us to the line, had us go through the skip the line entrance, and off we went into the Vatican Museum. We didn’t expect to be guided through as that is not what the tour claimed. However, when we got to the Vatican, we simply could have paid an extra five dollars for a skip the line ticket. The total cost for entrance into the museum and the Sistine Chapel would’ve been a total of $60. This tour for four people cost us $80 per person. Complete waste of 80$. Do it yourself directly on the Vatican site. Book the first tour of the day so you are not even dealing with a large crowd. It is hot in September. But if you are in Italy, everyone should at least see this once.!
The guide was very nice and professional and took us to the front of the line and guided out way inside the museum, making the process very easy. Highly recommend.
Skipping the Que was a game changer , especially when walking past the line that was 2 hours long . Audio was not included in the price so we had to pay about 8 euro each on top this should have been included in the price of booking however we thoroughly enjoyed the day
Super easy to find where to pick up our entry tickets. Our guide told us what to expect and one we were in we enjoyed our seld guided tour without having to wait in line in the heat.
Tried canceling and postponing date and no reply. Never got a reply from organizers. Would 100% recommend someone else
Highly marked up Vatican museum tickets. There is no “experience” besides the reseller just walking you to the entrance. I’m pretty sure the guide (if you can call them that) had us cut the line to get to the front. For the short time we were with the guide, they were kind and sweet but overall not an experience I would rebook or recommend to others. Vatican museum was very busy and hot but that’s expected during summer.
The only quirk was that one had to go to the Viator agency to have the Voucher in hand and from there go meet the clients at the museum entrance. One day prior, for a Colosseum entry through VIATOR, the vouchers were delivered electronically.
It was very pleasant weather and the temperature in the museum was ok. The guide was very helpful given us other things to look at. Some other stuff that I haven't seeing in our last trip to the museum. Very good information about tour.
