It’s a lot of walking. The art is… beautiful. It was very crowded, and you need an hour at least for the breeze through version, at least 3 for any real reading and learning.

There was a miscommunication between viator and the company, and the early morning tour I booked didn't exist. T-light did get me in later in the day, but it messed up all of my plans for the day. I very much appreciated that I still got to see the Vatican, but the lack of communication was frustrating.
It very bad organization poor service it was difficult and confusing to get the tickets when we bought the tickets online they were very quick to take money from us it was difficult to get tickets so we didn’t get tickets again why they made so difficult just send us the tickets that’s but they didn’t do .👎
Lots of walking so be prepared and where comfortable shoes. Bring water to drink. Cover arms with scarf.
Vincent was a great host. Very knowledgeable and efficient with our time. He had a nice relaxed manner and tried to engage everyone. Highly recommend this tour
Thank you Vincenzo for the tour! Amazing guide! Great experience! We got to see everthing without waiting in line! Great facts and learning experience
Loved Vincenzo! Great and entertaining tour guide! And of course the Vatican itself is beautiful. Definitely coming back.
Vincenzo was an amazing tour guide. He was very knowledgeable, articulate and professional. And he added a bit of humor which made the experience even more enjoyable. We look forward to visit again.
Its ridiculous We paid 50 euro each with my girlfriend for nothing They said that we will ship the line and go first inside We waited around 1 hour to start the tour We went from the backside inside There were lot of people and we waited again We got lost inside the museum and other 4 people from the group We never found our group again I was calling the reception and they were speaking only Italian of course and laughing at us !! We didn't go inside the basilica museum because we got lost After an hour we found our way out We went back disappointed to the office And they were trying to tell us that they were trying to find us We were very angry They didn't even apologise It was long and terrible They stole our money It's a big scam Never go with a guide Better to wait in the line and go for free inside the basilica It was our anniversary and they destroy our day We paid 100 euro for nothing , unbelievable!! Tips:never listen to nobody there , go by yourself , they try only to steal your money , be care ful the black people in the entrance! Don't listen to them In general Rome is disgusting Very expensive for no reason The only good thing is our room Never back to Italy again Nightmare !! We hate this place in general Never here again Disappointed !!
It is a scam, you dont skip the line. They are rude, and all the others seem to treat you better. Its very expensive for a scam.
I would like to congratulate our guide Stefania for her amazing and immersive tour experience. She is super attentive and thorough in the explanation of the things we need to know about. Very friendly and caring. Recommend it to all!!! ❤️
We went at the busiest time of the year, 2 days after Xmas, and although expensive its worth it. Our guide was amusing with wonderful anecdotes and not too technical/historical/boring info that was not needed. This was a typical if its Tuesday it must be Belgium tour but after going twice before but this time with my Grandson I enjoyed the 2/3 hour tour.
Great guided tour and very informative! Antonio was awesome! I would like to especially thank Massimo who was so kind to give us back our 30 euro deposit for the audio devices even though we lost the return ticket that they specifically told us not to lose! Thank you, Massimo!
The tour was good, however the guide talked a lot about the art and not a lot about the history of the vatican or of the pieces in there. The radios we listened on were poor quality and cut out a lot but we managed to get an idea of what he was saying. The museums themselves were beautiful and the guide showed us everything we wanted to see including st peters Basilica which was breathtaking and he gave us time at the end to explore at our own place. Overall a good experience.
Hi we had a tour with an English speaking tour guide Nina From saintstours. This was a very enjoyable tour and the staff at the shop called capriotti S.R.L in the square where we bought the tickets were lovely and very friendly. We would recommend doing a guided tour as there is so much to see and the guide explained all the history attached to the buildings. Rome was absolutely fabulous. Sandy & Anthony, Ireland
We had an excellent tour guide, Mario, who was very kind and thorough throughout the tour. He knows his history very of the various art pieces within the Vatican Museums. He made us laugh and it was overall an incredible experience. The staff at Saints Tour were very kind and helped us a lot. They gave us tips and tricks of getting around the city. I completely recommend Saints Tour Rome! Mario is the best guide!!
In Vatican Square things can be hectic and confusing flor tourists with so many people offering different tours. We were advised to take a “Skip the Line Tour” to speed our entry. What we didn’t know was there are many vendors who offer the same tour. They all say “Skip the Line” but are managed by differed firms and seem to all cost the same. 14 from our Viking Ship were led by a ship guide to a shop run by Saints Tours. (Look for the name on their Tee Shirts) Young woman makes a few calls, says “no problem”and leads us down the alley and around the corner, through a Jewelry Shop and upstairs to a ticket counter. Then young lady disappears. The Viking group purchased tour tickets, receives a sticker for our shirt which identifies us as a group and are then told to wait down stairs in the store. After 15 minutes of people coming and going and new customers arriving we are concerned about departure time. We’d arrived about 12:20 and been assured we’d go right away and the by 12:45. We reminded on of the staff of that time,.. He thought we were crazy and couldn’t imagine anyone telling us that. Maybe 1:00 was an option. (The irony is that, if we just stood in line we’d have been at the door by now and saved 35 euros each for the privilege of skipping the line.) As we waited two other groups, who’d arrived later, were sent off. Finally, frustrated with our pressure he told us to follow the next group out, a Polish one. The polish guide rightly didn’t want anything to do with us. She was being paid by the Polish group, not Saints Tours. We struggled to keep up with her as she rushed down the street and made the 20 minute walk to the entry with us in pursuit. It seemed our only choice. When we arrived at the museum entrance she had vouchers for her group that she exchanged for tickets and passed through the turnstiles into the museum. The Viking group was now at the gate, out 35 euro, tired with no leader and no voucher and no sympathy from anyone. Finally, after pleading with the gate keepers, one of our party found a guy with a “Saint Tour” tea shirt who took us under his wing.got us ticket vouchers and turned us loose. About an hour after the saga started we jumped the line. Big deal and what a colossal waste of time. Saints Tours by Capriott should be avoided
We had an awesome time during our guided tour inside Vatican with Antonio being our guide. One of the best guides i’ve ever met. Funny, on point and full of knowledge. Thanks.
Tour operators in Rome are for the most part a bunch of scammers. They promise the best and deliver the worse. Stay away from those Vatican tours that offer guided tours of the Sistine Chapel, the Vatican museum and St. Peters. Particularly Saints tour which is located on the second floor of a souvenir shop at the outside corner of St. Peters square. They charge over 50 euros per person, are extremely disorganized, their guides speak poor English. We had a guide called Gabriel who rushed everyone through the crowds, lost a couple of tourists, communicated poorly, was arrogant, and dropped everyone by the Sistine Chapel and DID NOT take us to the Basilica because according to him, tour guides were not allowed, which was NOT true because when we went in by ourselves we saw other guides. Saints Tours, and I am sure all other tours, are after taking tourists money and then have a lousy attitude if you complaint.
Highly recommend! If you're about to visit Rome you definitely have to book a guided tour with one of this agency's guides. Very nice, kind, well prepared and willing to show and tell you everything about Vatican museum and Sistine chapel's history (and Rome in general)! We were in Rome for 3 days and had the romanian tour with lovely lady Cristina, she is awesome! It was worth every cent, she was there for us the whole tour, gave many details, explanations and moreover, she was there prepared to give us advice for every activity we wanted details about. From where to go and what to visit, to where to eat and have the best pasta! Thank you very much, Cristina, you made our city break unforgattable and we are looking forward to coming again! See you soon! Loredana & Alex, Romania
We walked past the day before(Sunday) and laughed at the triple layered queues from St Peters Square stretching 200 metres+ all the way to the next corner. We stopped laughing when we walked around the next 3 corners to find the entrance. Had to be a 3 hour queue. I checked with the tour operator and they said the only queue we would be in was for the security check. The next day when we turned up the line for ordinary admission was only 400 metres or so, not so bad. We thought about upgrading to the guided tour but it was to be 2+1/2 hours and we had to get the the airport and couldn't afford the time. Excellent decision as it turned out. We marched up the separate "Skip" line and watched as so many groups with the same access as us strolled in, with the plain entry queue hardly moving. Once let free to our own devices we strolled and took our time, but soon realised the immense throng of guided groups we were in were going to be an issue. If we had gone with the flow we wouldn't make our flight. Skirting groups, "dashing" when a gap opened up got us through to the Sistine Chapel in good time. There were so many rooms/items I would have loved to stop and just ponder....You should spend the whole day there. Once past the Chapel crowds had options and thinned a lot and we could slow down again and soak it up again. Going with a guide would help with the stories(no English translations on too may objects) but maybe you go it alone, note the stuff that interests you and google it up later as I have done? The whole inside experience was like a Fedde le Grand concert with everyone doing the "Put your hands up for Detroit....oops, I mean phones up for the Vatican". A pet hate of mine. In summary, another must do. but just consider what you want to do inside when choosing the tour option. Amble and ingest it all or just tick the "been there, done that" box. Crowds are an issue and consider whether your photo needs to be taken as mostly there are people in your "line of sight" and it won't be good as what's available online. Though forbidden, there were still people taking snaps/videos inside the Holy Sistine Chapel. Not happy!
We had a very pleasant experience. Definitely recommend doing this. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and helpful.
We didn't pre book this tour but walked into the office and booked there and then and barely waited 10 minutes before the tour began. Our guide was Antonio, he had a good sense of humour and very informative. The crowds were huge, we were walking snail pace through the buildings but Antonio managed to keep us altogether and still explain as much as he could with the time we had.
We did this trip September 20th 2019. This is not a tour, but simply a way to skip the line into the Vatican Museum and the Sistine Chapel. It was well worth it as the regular line to get in wrapped around the wall of the of Vatican City. A little chaotic at the tour center as there were other groups we walked over with that were taking a guided tour. Once we were arranged into our groups, the walk over was quick and easy and we only waited outside for about 15 mins for our guide to get us our tickets.
I did this tour a year before, in January 2017, with some other company, and did not have the same experience. Now, I took the tour again, but with Saints Tour, with my mum, on early and hot September. The Vatican was full of tourists but we had a great time; I guess the main reason was the tour guide, Miss Stefania. She had lost of interesting comments and data, apart from the overwhelming history facts that the Vatican is filled with. Great service, super entertaining, by a lady who clearly shows how much she loves what she does. My mum was super happy as well. Totally recommendable.
We waited around to join other groups and went in as group tour. The process took a long time, unsure if it is worth it to buy skip the line. It would probably be about the same amount of time, but lower cost.
We did this tour today and thoroughly enjoyed it. The tour is a very well organised and the young lady who ran out tour today was most knowledgable and flexible when dealing with the group. Skipping the lines is an added bonus.
The tour was fantastic and well prepared! Our guide, Antonio, seemed very passionate and genuinely interested in the information he was passing on to us! He was a cheerful, easy to understand, and made the tour very enjoyable:D
We decided to do the tour as a spur of the moment decision and so glad we did. It was well organised and we had the pleasure of Antonio to walk us round. He was very knowledgeable and made the experience 10x better. A great day out - Josh & Paris.
The tour was good in that we were able to skip the line and the guide was very kind, however the information was lacking and not very in depth. Our guide in particular was slightly difficult to understand as he talked quite fast which made the information hard to digest. My advice would be to pre book skip the line tickets or get there very early and then get an audio guide if you wish.
We visited the Vatican today and had a great tour, led by Mario. He knew loads about the museums, and was interesting to listen to. The visit lasted just over 2.5 hours, with most of the time spent in the museums, followed by a visit to the Sistine Chapel, and then the Basilica. We didn’t have to wait in any queues, and bought our tickets on the day. Worth the extra money!
¡Totalmente recomendable! Muchas gracias, Luciana.
A wonder, Luciana explains it in a way that makes you fall in love with the place. Thank you very much
Excellent guide; if you want to understand things well, without missing a detail, it is recommended to go with a good guide like Carmelo.
Very good, the guide was amazing and explained everything very well. The whole tour was very complete.
Our guide Carmelo was wonderful, great professional and everything was very nice, I would definitely do it again
Luccianna was WONDERFUL. She knows the place and its nooks and crannies perfectly. She told us many anecdotes, many interesting facts, and answered all our questions. Very fun, she knows a lot about the subject and has a wonderful sense of humor. It didn't feel heavy at all. I totally recommend it; last time I visited the Vatican without a guide and I don't advise it. We had a problem getting to the meeting point and they were so attentive to call us and ask where we were to catch up with them. Best wishes Luccianna!!
Good guide, very well informed, the tour is fast but there are many things to see so it is necessary. Good value for money.
The tour was very good, the guide Luciana was very kind!
Excellent tour with Carmelo. Very fun and easygoing. It's worth it.
An exceptional experience!!! The guide Carmelo made it He makes it very enjoyable and explains everything in an engaging way! He totally masters the subject. It is worth it just for not waiting in lines! Thank you very much Carmelo.
Very good tour, quick entry and with an excellent guide, Carmelo! Highly recommended
Very well organized. The best part was Carmelo, the guide. He makes it very enjoyable, interesting, and pleasant.
The tour was fabulous, the Vatican, the museums, the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica, but the best part, without a doubt, was the kindness, charm, and wit of our guide Carmelo, who made the visit incredible and 100% repeatable. Carmelo, say hello to your cousin Michelangelo for us. José and Itxaso
Excellent visit guided by Carmelo
