Our Vatican VIP Tour was one of the most memorable experiences of our trip to Rome! From the moment we arrived, everything was perfectly organized :no stress, just pure wonder.Marco was amazing! The skip-the-line access made us feel like true insiders. Our guide Tiziana was absolutely incredible :passionate, knowledgeable, and full of fascinating stories about the Museums ,Sistine Chapel, Raphael Rooms, You could feel their love for art and history in every explanation. Having a small group meant we could ask questions freely and take our time admiring the masterpieces. Seeing the light come through the windows as our guide described Michelangelo’s work gave me chills! This Vatican VIP experience costs more than a regular ticket, but it’s absolutely worth it for the exclusivity and the personal attention .It highly recommend it to anyone who wants a deeper, more meaning visit.

The private tour is the way to go! I would go any other way. Skip the lines is a must. St. Peter’s basilica is awe inspiring.

First…this wasn’t a private tour as the tag line says but rather a SEMI-private tour. Second, they called at 11:35 to say that they’d moved the time from 12:30 to 11:30 the day before (never received a call or email). Unfortunately, when the call came, we were finishing the Dome climb at St Peter’s but said we’d race right over. After getting there by noon, they told us “our tickets had expired” and we wouldn’t be able to join the group (group had left without us). While they did refund the cost of the tour, it left us without a tour option for one of the more important things we wanted to see. Tour coordinator that called (Rose) was rude as well to top it all off.

We got an email the morning of our tour letting us know it was canceled. They gave no reason. The least they could’ve done is found us another one. On the other hand, we ended up finding another one through a different company that was less than half the cost. So it was lucky in the end.

Absolutley amazing!! We absolutely loved our private tour. We were fortunate as it ended up just being myself and my 2 daughters with our tour guide Sophie. She was beyond amazing!! She is a young 84yrs old...and has been doing this for 60+ years!! Her knowledge and information shared was simply incredible!! Sophie was also amazing at taking us right up to the very front of every queue and main iconic places and items to get up close and personal with our whole experience. We cant have imagined doing it any other way!! Totally worth the spend and experience!! Highly reccomend!!

They contacted us 2 days before our tour to tell us the Vatican would now be closed on the day we were supposed to go. It was a religious holiday so not sure how that wasn’t know prior to booking. We had to take the 3:45 private tour and they took us through the museum and Sistine chapel first so St. Peter’s was closed by the time we got done. We paid $741 for 3 ppl for a private tour to see all 3 and didn’t get in St. Peter’s so we were really disappointed. Our guide was very nice and knowledgeable but she had a very heavy accent and was a little hard to understand. We really should of received a credit since the entire tour wasn’t completed.

Rosa from Visit Rome Tour was incredible. She got everything done quickly and efficiently and it was a breeze when we arrived at the Vatican. The tour was also amazing. It was beyond beautiful and there was so many different parts of the tour to see. I would definitely do it again.

This was hands down the best tour experience we have had at the Vatican! If you have never been to the Vatican, you may be surprised at how crowded it is all the time. This tour took us to parts away from the crowds and allowed us to explore places not available to the public generally. The guide was PHENOMENAL. She was an employee of the Vatican and an Art Historian. She was so knowledgeable and engaging. The 3 hours we spent together went by so quickly. If you want to see parts of the Vatican that others can’t, with white glove treatment, this is the tour for you!

The Vatican was great and our guide was very informative, but we were actually in a group of 9. Every was expecting a private tour. The crowds were huge and we used headsets to hear our guide just like the much cheaper group tours. We did see two small rooms others were not allowed access to, but not sure it was worth the extra cost. I would save money and go with a group tour. And this company needs to clarify its small group not private.

Had a wonderful experience. Professional, patient and helpful, despite it being the busy season, and the tour was both highly informative and entertaining. The Vatican truly came alive. Canceled on night before our tour, leaving no other options for guided tours. Person on phone was unapologetic and unhelpful.

Our guide was perfect. He was very patient when we were delayed getting to our destination for the tour.

Felt like a bait and switch! We booked an 8am tour two weeks in advance. The Vatican doesn’t officially open to the public until 9am, so we were excited for our early bird tour. Two days in advance, they let us know our 9:30am tour (which wasn’t even the time we had booked!) wasn’t available, but they could offer us an 11am tour for the same price, which isn’t early bird and therefore isn’t the tour we paid for. Since the company claimed they had “rescheduled” the tour, they refused to cancel it, but they also don’t allow the client to cancel after booking (unlike every other tour we scheduled on trip advisor). Because of this, cancelling the tour was a huge headache, the company was incredibly unpleasant to communicate with, and it felt very dishonest. Save your time and money, and book with a company that will follow through. We got super lucky and were able to book an actual early bird tour last minute with another company, What a Life Tours, and we couldn’t recommend them more!

Our private tour guide was amazing and full of knowledge! However, the experience at the Vatican was miserable! So many people that you could barely move and we were bumping into others the entire time! I would not recommend touring the Vatican! We toured it several years ago and it was an amazing experience but evidently income is more important than the experience at this point! 25,000 people per day allowed in the Vatican!

This was an excellent way to see the Vatican museums, the Sistine chapel and St. Peter’s basicilica! We were escorted privately and quickly into the Vatican and met with our guide for the day Barbara. She was extremely knowledgeable about all of the Vatican and gave interesting tidbits of information that you wouldn’t know if you went on your own. I had a great time and would book with this company again.

Our guide, Marina, was the best EVER! She made touring the Vatican easy despite the number of other tours and visitors. Her knowledge of the Vatican and the art in the museum was nothing short of amazing. We learned so much in the few short hours we had with her. We are so glad we went ahead and did the private tour vs being in a large group where you cannot really hear the guide. She was so sweet to walk with us to the nearest taxi stand because we would have never found it. :)

The beginning of the tour was great- if anything, the price is worth being able to skip the line, with a well informed guide and see the Sistine Chapel. However, when entering the Sistine Chapel, our guide left us and told us via WhatsApp to go on. After many messages and 30 minutes later with no response, we realized he would not be returning. Even though our tour was two hours short, we solely blame the guide and not the company. The company, Rosa specifically, was so responsive and accommodating. We will definitely book another tour with them- just with a different guide

What a WONDERFUL tour! Some scheduling dynamics created by changes @ the Vatican - tour operator Rosa deftly worked with us and made things fit perfectly, and personally met us to start in order to ensure things were all set. And tour guide Dina was simply a joy - smart, knowledgeable, personable and efficient; cut through very busy crowds like a hot knife through butter :) - possessed simply unbelievable knowledge that she clearly and concisely communicated to us throughout... not a lull for 3 1/2 hours!!! I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Private tour was canceled only 24 hours before scheduled., Only viable option from tour operator was a group tour. Guide’s English was challenging and the tour left late morning, so we hit all the large crowds. Guide spent a significant amount or time on specific details of pictures, rugs, and mosaics that bogged down the tour in extremely hot weather. More generalized descriptions would have moved us along more quickly. All the group of 25+ were getting anxious to keep moving and not standing out in the sun.

We were supposed to have a private tour. Emailed the night before asking to move us to a group tour of 30 people. With no other options available we did the tour anyway. Not a great experience but our guide Julia was extremely knowledgeable and very energetic. She would of been fantastic on a private tour!!
