Paolo was very knowledgeable and happy to share and answer questions. We found the pace of the tour to be unpredictable where it felt incredibly slow at some points and too fast at others. The large group size could’ve contributed to this as if we were at the back of the group, by the time we made it to some of the pieces he was talking about he could be done and we would’ve missed seeing all of the details. We wanted a guide to help us understand what we were looking at, and we certainly got that in addition to other information, but only on a select few pieces. For a 3 hour long tour we spent about an hour and a half before we even got inside the museums. The tour also went over on time which resulted in us not having extra time in the Vatican City as we planned due to having another tour lined up. This was on our last day in Rome and now we feel we didn’t get to see as much of the Vatican City or museums as we thought we would when purchasing this tour.
The Vatican tour is amazing but there are so many steps and it was challenging at times for us seniors! Also our tour guide was so quick we could not keep up and eventually were on our own!

We took a guided tour with our four young children and a stroller—a challenging undertaking. However, our guide, Lilia Casian, ensured that our family could easily access and use the elevators. Whenever we encountered stairs, she and other guests stepped in to help, ensuring the tour remained smooth and comfortable for us. At one point, when one of my children began to cry, she even held and comforted the child! How truly wonderful! I would like to express my deepest gratitude and appreciation for her kindness. Given the very large crowds, she took good care of her group and skillfully guided us. She is an exceptional guide who is always considerate of her guests and highly knowledgeable.

Lilia as a guide was fantastic, lots of information and also background details. She didn’t rush and leave us plenty of time to look around and take pictures.
We had a guide, Lucia, who was knowledgable, but it was difficult to follow any sequence of the history and timing of the artwork and information we were viewing. The guide had trouble keeping the group together, often walking way ahead of the group and thus, what she was saying in the earphone was different than what we were seeing from where we where in the tour. I believe she tried. It is not an easy tour with the throngs of people and different tours walking into our group.

Do not book with this company. The basilica was not open due to mass which they know as it’s the same time every week yet we’ve booked for the tour to include the basilica and paid extra and they will not refund for that part. The tour guide barely spoke English and was very difficult to understand. A complete waste of money.
