We had an excellent guide and thorough experience and would recommend to any visitors coming to Rome for the first time
This is a great and comprehensive tour experience of the Vatican museums, the Sistine chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica. Our guide Christine was phenomenal and knew the history and behind the scenes tips and information that made this into a very enjoyable experience. The tour was informative and mesmerizing with all that was included. I would highly recommend booking this tour and seeing the Vatican with Christine.
Very pathetic and very costly don’t take this tour they are very costly and poor service Really very bad experience
Maggie was absolutely amazing! I felt so terrible as I did not yet have any cash to tip her. She was so kind, knowledgeable, made sure none of us went astray, made a point to know where we were from, and so much fun! This is my first ever guided tour and it was worth it! Thanks, Maggie!!!
This tour was just okay. Our guide Christina was good but I felt that for the price it could have been better and we should have seen much more. We did a short tour of some of walkways but we spent almost a half hour sitting looking at pictures that could have been better spent actually touring more. The Sistine Chapel was good but then we went to St Peter’s and spent probably 5 minutes with our guide and then the tour was done. This tour would be expensive at half the price so pretty disappointing.
Deny was an amazing guide! She was so informative and kept everyone engaged.
Deny was a great guide. Very knowledgeable and knew her way around the Vatican. Would highly recommend for a family or small group.
Our guide was fun and funny and so knowledgeable.
Christina was an incredible guide. She was so knowledgeable and did an amazing job of navigating us through the crowds. Unfortunately, we could not access the Basilica, which was unfortunate as we paid top price during Easter week but I understand that that is beyond the tour company’s control. It was just unfortunate. Great tour anyways and highly recommended.
Was a nice experience. Wife made me leave a good review. I really liked the tour though.
On point! So grateful for the experience 🙏🏻
Christina from Maya Tours was amazing! She was incredibly efficient and knowledgeable. She spoke a lot without overwhelming. She was respectful of our time.
The kindest tour guide, Maggie. Funny, smart, and such great insights and information. Easily connected to our group and made the experience wonderful.
It was an amazing experience. Our guide Deborah, was very kind and expainful, she gave us a very interesting and thorough tour in the Vatican museums and capela sixtina.
Debora was simply amazing! She made the entire tour magical and completely engaged our daughters ages 12 and 15 as well as my husband and myself! This tour is a must do!
verry nice tour guide, with a lot of explanation, and of skip - lines everywhere ; I recomand this guide for full visiting of Vatican City
My family and I had a wonderful experience with our guide Debora. She was very informative and experienced, and she made the entire time extremely enjoyable
Deny, was lovely guide! Very knowledgeable and made sure everyone was together as we moved through the enormous crowds. Speaks English very clearly which made our tour very enjoyable.
Debra was a gift for my sister l, my mother and I. To use my sisters words from her facebook post: the incredible tour guide we had at the Vatican whose heart could be felt in each story she told and who looked out for our mom how our Vatican tour guide, Debra, talked about the ancient art of Michelangelo - there's what you see and there's what you SEE if you really look. There's the story the art is trying to tell you. So in looking at these pictures, its not about seeing a picture of the Colosseum. It's about the in-between stories we now hold as part of our collective history that only we can tell. As we now shift back to reality, all we can say is grazie Italia for being the backdrop of this incredible chapter of our lives - a chapter that commemorates, the deeper understanding of our roots, the start of new familial bonds, and the creation of "in-between" memories that are now part of our history forever.”
The check in process was easy and instructions were clear. The general tour route was good, our guide Debra was horrible. While knowledgeable, she has beyond rude and patronizing the entire experience. Didn’t not allow any time to soak in the art/take pictures, was not patient with elderly people in the group who needed a bit more time/help navigating stairs and ran the tour like a military boot camp. If you want to be treated like a toddler for three hours, this is the tour for you. Didn’t want to ding the entire company, just maybe ask for an alternative guide.
There is more walking than anticipated for the tour. There were a significant number of steps. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and was able to pivot when the group got a bit tired due to the heat. We learned a lot. Good experience and definitely recommend it!
Maggie, our tour guide, was very well informed, funny and personable. She was excellent with children keeping them engaged. She made the tour great.
AMAZING does not even begin to describe the experience of being on this tour with Deborah. She seriously was the BEST guide and gave us the opportunity to see and learn about the history of the Vatican. Everything about this tour was outstanding. 10/10! Highly recommend.
Tia was an amazing tour guide. She was very informative and answered any questions we had. We learned so much today! She got us through the lines with ease. This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I highly recommend!
This was my first time in Rome. Tour guide was thorough, knowledgeable, personable and added humor to the tour, at times making it interactive. I was glad I booked this small group tour (10 people max). We were given head sets and earphones so we wouldn’t miss anything. Guide got to know everyone and also used headsets to make sure no one was separated from the group. Being a Jubilee year, the Vatican was very crowded. Tour is fast paced, there is a lot of walking and many steps. It is impossible for the guide to comment on every artifact and painting due to the size of the Vatican. Definitely book skip-the-line to save 3-4 hours waiting to get in. We passed everyone by. Also be sure to include Basilica guided tour part of the tour. When tour is finished you are free to remain in Basilica to pray, meditate or listen to the beautiful live singing of various masses. I am not Catholic but this is a must see tour for any religion
Deny was such a knowledgeable, passionate guide! She was really great about pointing out not only the main attractions, but even the smaller details that are easily missed. She was able to get us exclusive access to ‘shortcuts’ that made the walk less grueling. It was truly a pleasure listening to her and learning so much!
This was the most disappointing experience we had in Rome, I was actually in tears. I have visited the Vatican Museums before, so I know what a tour can be. Our tour guide couldn't walk and talk at the same time, so we ended up just standing for long periods of time listening to him. He talked about a few things in GREAT detail, droning on about things like the specific birds in a floor mosaic. And then he completely glossed over other important things, such as giving very little information about the Sistine Chapel. I had to supply information to my travel companions that I had learned on my previous visit. For the great deal of time we spent, we only saw the few halls leading to the Sistine and then were left in the chapel. I understand you can't see everything in the many kilometers of the museum, but I know for a fact we could have seen a lot more if our guide had been better at time management. He seemed like he just didn't want to be there and wanted to get it over with as quickly as possible. This was my mom's once-in-a-lifetime "bucket list" thing and knowing she had such a disappointing experience made me so sad.
Arnoldi (sp) was our guide and he was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable, fun, and kept us engaged throughout the entire 3 hours. Would definitely recommend.
Tia was a fabulous guide! Her knowledge and expertise is outstanding!! We highly recommend a tour with Tia!!
I had an amazing time with our guide, “Producer” Debora (or Debra – apologies if I’ve misspelled the name). She was an exceptional tour guide, highlighting all the important facts about the museum and the chapel. I also loved how warmly she greeted every employee in the museum – it was such a nice touch. Don’t hesitate to book this tour; you’ll absolutely love it! It was both fun and informative. A big bonus is that you’ll get direct access to Saint Peter’s Basilica without waiting in line after the tour.
The Vatican was amazing and the Sistine Chapel something important to see for us. Our guide Marco gave us many informations and explained us how much these tours in French means to him. We enjoyed the tour with him and received many information about Vatican.
Tatiana was such a wonderful tour guide. We were so appreciative of her extensive knowledge and experience. The tour flowed very seamlessly. Lots of information provided but not overwhelming. Highly recommend!
Absolutely magnificent tour by Teana. Love the stories and historical depiction given by Teana. Will definitely introduce this Vatican tour to family and friends.
Great visit and terrific guide. We can’t remember her name but she was very knowledgeable and terrific communication skills for my wife and me and three teenager grandchildren.
We took our tour today and Christina was our guide. She was fantastic. Our tour had 8 people - a perfect number - and she did an expert job moving us efficiently through - positioning us to exactly the right spot to talk and ask questions. She knew her material very well and had in depth knowledge of art history. She was fun to listen to and had a bubbly personality which enhanced our time together. We highly recommend this tour. Well worth the money. On our way in we passed folks waiting in the “regular “ line and they indicated they had been out there for 3 hours and were not even near the front of the line. That was especially penal as today was a bit rainy and they were wet and soggy. We passed by them in the “skip” line and went right in to enjoy the sights.
Fantastic tour, we saw everything we wanted to and the guide was brilliant, very happy with Koen so knowledgeable and made everything very interesting for us
Our tour guide booked with Maya Tours and it was great. Our tour started at 1230. It was great bypassing the hours long wait line to get into the museum. Our English speaking tour guide. Christina, has lived in Italy for 20 years and was very knowledgeable. She is the type of person my wife and I 2o7ke like to hang out with socially. She has studied in Italy and knew quite a bit about what items in the museum. Our tour ended outside of Saint Peter's Basilica, and we went straight in bypassing that line too. She told us of a bunch of different places to get a bite to eat to avoid the tourist ones that have a lesser quality of food and prices. I was stationed in Italy and this was a trip for our kids who were born here but were 1 and 2 when we left so wanted to show them.
Our guide in french Paolo was really great! Very interesting and interested by the info. His french was pretty good! I recommend him!
We had a amazing experience with Cristina, our tour guide. She was very friendly, very knowledgeable in tell the history behind the painting. Besides that, she was very efficient and always worried if we were fine.
Tour in French with Paolo who made us enjoy every minute of it as he was so interesting ! Great souvenir for my wife and I. No queue at all... it worth the deal!
I had an excelent visit with Marco Tritto tour guide ; he is careful and exhaustive in his explanation. What a liked most was his will to interact with the tourists, making the experience pleasant and easy to understand . I hope to visit the Sistine Chapel again very soon , I think is a must in our lifetime. Thank you !
We loved this tour. Our guide (I think her name was Alma??) was great and very informative. Only thing with doing an evening tour is that usually by the time the tour is done the Vatican closes and so we were unable to wander around and see the basilica
Excellent excursion with a very professional guide
Paolo, an exceptional guide and history enthusiast
It was very dynamic; we quickly entered the museums, and our guide was very well prepared! Deny shared interesting facts and was always looking for the best place to explore and see the wonders of the tour. In addition to that, Deny speaks many languages.
Very good and interesting. I recommend it to everyone thinking of doing so.
It was a complete visit, the guide was extraordinary, I don't remember her name well I think Maria or Ana, her very pleasant explanations not tedious at all a visit of about 3 hours in which she never rushed and told everything very interestingly without saturating dates and data that serve no purpose. I loved everything we saw and the company of the guide. Highly recommended.
Very interesting and rewarding guided tour with a Marc; very nice and very cultivated. Thank you again. Sylvie and Bernard.
My guide has been Sagrarian and I can only say that I recommend it 100%. It makes your visit enjoyable, fun and above all interesting. It tells you both the essentials and the curious and small details, which in my opinion is where the charm is. Professional and charming.
