This does not come with tour but you can upgrade to include a tour. It doesn’t let you skip the line entirely but does significantly reduce wait times. We went on October 13, 2025 so the lines were very long for the jubilee. Waits were over 5 hours without this ticket. With the ticket wait times were more like 15-45 minutes. Definitely worth it if you are short on time. We upgraded to the tour and the tour guide was very knowledgeable with excellent English.
Great tour guide fun tour saw lots of great itemsand it was amazing. Would recomend this tour to all my friends
Our guide took great care of us, steering us through the crowds to get us past the lines and through security.
We still waited in a line. The tickets read 25 euros so what did we pay for. No audio. No map. Still waited in a line. Feel like we were ripped off on this one.
The description advertised this as a guided tour, but when we arrived we were told it was only skip-the-line tickets with no guide included. That was very disappointing and misleading. We ended up touring on our own and purchased the audio guide separately at the museum. That said, the museum itself was absolutely incredible. The Raphael Rooms are breathtaking and not to be missed, and of course the Sistine Chapel is stunning beyond words (just keep in mind that photos are strictly not allowed inside). Overall, the museum experience was amazing, but be aware you may not get a tour guide when you arrive.
Absolute rip off and scam. The only thing your expensive ticket gets you is quicker entry and someone who will rush you through the museums with minimal explanation so that they can get to the next tour. This was clearly a money grab and an attempt to funnel as many people as possible through their “tours” as they could in a day. Save yourself the exorbitant fee and just book a ticket directly through the Vatican website. You’ll be getting the exact same service as this “tour company” provides with better service and at a fraction of the cost. From the moment we arrived at the check in we were greeted rudely by the receptionists who rushed us to pay without any price signage and without giving us any time to check our booking to see how much we had already paid. I would have been willing to look past the rude check in experience had the tour been good and worth the €75 each that we paid. This was not the case. The tour is advertised as 2-3 hours, however our tour guide was with us for barely an hour. Once we were on the tour, he gave minimal information, couldn’t name basic dates, and spent more time explaining regional food than our surroundings. There was no explanation for the paintings in the Sistine Chapel given; rather, as soon as we got there he stood in a corner for 10 minutes and then ushered us out as soon as the 10 minutes were up. Then, the tour ended before we even went inside St. Peter’s Basilica. We saw many other tour guides inside giving their groups helpful and explanatory information, it would have been nice if our tour guide had done that for us even for a few minutes before rushing off to get his next group.
Easy Peasy and you get escorted in, which is so nice. The gentlemen that escorted me was very kind and he is a student from Florence and just made sure I was cared for!
Basically just a skip the line ticket. Loved not having to wait in the long line. Arranged oddly. Had to wind around. No logic to the space. Liked smithsoniums much better.
Save your time and money and book with another tour operator! We were given a guide for an English speaking tour and her English was so poor that we couldn’t understand her. She also had a very strong Chinese accent making matters more difficult. Many people left our tour half way through because of this. We didn’t learn anything. Please use another tour operator so that this doesn’t happen to you. We paid over £350 for four people and were given a €60 refund. Not good enough at all and the tour operator will make excuses.
Our guide was wonderful, the tour was so special! Have been dreaming of coming to the Vatican my entire life. Thank you for making it perfect!
Vatican lines were unbelievably long. This is the only way to see museum, Sistine chapel and basilica. Only line was a short wait to go through security for museum. Whole process was flawless. Guide was knowledgeable. He explained all the important items. Head sets worked excellantly. Skipping what was a 3 hour line for the basilica alone was worth the price.
The Vatican museum area was extremely crowded because the lines were so long in the bathroom. The tour got off to an extremely late start because of the crowds we had to move very slowly and we ended up having to leave the tour for two reasons. Reason one was the guide’s headset kept cutting out, and we were only hearing part of what she was saying And reason we had plans for later that afternoon that if we had stayed with the tour, we would have missed. We took seven tours on this trip and by far this was the most disappointing experience we had.
Our guide was great very informative thoroughly enjoyed the whole tour. Loved all the history behind all the artefacts. The garden was beautiful we got some fabulous pictures
Showed up at 9:10 (on time for our 9:30 guided tour) and were told we had to take the 10:30 tour. This time did not work for us. They gave us an entrance ticket for 9:30 and no guide. We had to go on our own. Terrible service. I asked for the guided tour and was told we would have to wait until 10:30.
We were in the Sistine chapel for only 4 minutes and no tour guide in St Peters The museum part was ok
The Vatican is vast, a place of intriguing wonder, beauty and grandeur. I loved the tour but it was hard. The lines are long!..I suggest u pre book tours, or get there super early in the morning. And dont allow scammers on the street to coax u into buying tickets from them, someone tried to sell us tickets and jump the queue at 80 euros which kept jumping up, after waiting in line the hour and a half the ticket was only around $25 euro. But this tour is not for the faint hearted, u need your wit's about you and the energy to walk the miles and miles of the parts of the Vatican you need to see, ending with the sistene chapel, because ultimately thats the prize. I struggled, the walking is long its round and round and up and down and in and out, and the crowds are so jam packed it made it harder to navigate, plus people are just inconsiderate. The lack of good air-conditioning is also an issue is 38 degree heat middle of summer ☀️ 😮💨 with thousands of people around. Although Im happy I did it, it isnt something im willing to redo, unless its off season. The energy it takes is extremely tiring. Even though I loved every moment of what my eyes and soul took in, The beauty of every piece of artwork, sculptures, the vastness of the art itself is extraordinary and Ive never seen anything like it in all my life, Rome truly is remarkably outstanding in its history culture and the ancient world. Spectacularly impressive.🇮🇹✨️
The tour guide was awesome. Good personality, knowledgeable . Good sense of humor. Had a lot of stamina
Amazing guide and this tour includes fast pass to St. Peter’s as well (which wasn’t certain in the description). Perfect pace and covered main sites.
Although the Vatican has a lot to see and experience this tour was the longest of my life. There was simply no way out. Once you are inside there is no way out but to complete the tour. Everything is beautiful but just know what you are committing too.
Our guide was wonderful. She explained things very well with added humor. She was very kind and patient and gave great directions.
Great Tour and excellent guide. Very informative and entertaining! Shared some history, and helped navigate the crowd
This tour is basically a reselling scam. I booked online at Viator and had to pay 2.5× what the value of the tour was on the official website, where they were "sold out", just to make sure we didn't have to queue in the line with an older person in our party. The office we went into just involved an annoyed guy taking us to the official desk where the real official tour started. We had to pay more than double for him to walk 100m with us! The tour itself was good but again didn't include Sistine Chapel like promised, the guide just left us after the museum claiming that guides can't go to the chapel. But when we went there, several other guides were there with their groups. The tour also didn't include St Peters, so you then have to queue for that separately. Overall a scam, left a sour taste.
Bought a guided tour and turned up to find that they’d made a mistake and there was no guide available for us. Ended up with just an entry ticket, and a minimal refund that still meant we paid 3 times the normal entry fee. Steer clear!
Excellent tour. Monica was so knowledgeable and fun, the highlight was taking the royal entrance to St Peter’s Basilica amazing
The most memorable was St Peters Basilica. The statues were remarkable and overwhelming. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and organized.
Excellent trip around the Vatican with Alex , everything went smoothly and would strongly recommend it
We picked the Fast track tour Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel. Our guide Alex was very knowledgeable, pointed out all the important pieces to be seen in a short time. At the end of the tour we were able to visit St Peter’s Basilica too without queuing. Well worth it.
Our tour guide was very informative and pretty detailed about everything we saw in the Vatican. Didn’t have any issues and couldn’t have asked for more. Nice tour and would highly recommend!
Our tour guide, Narah was absolutely excellent. She was so attentive to our 5 teens and sought to know their names & engage with them. She even had to endure multiple families with strollers & people wandering off. Well done, well worth the $.
Easy to find meeting place. Group size of 14 was the perfect size. Knowledgeable guide with a good sense of humor. Moved the group along perfectly. Lots of info
Our tour guide was amazing. The value of "skip the line" was well worth it to get into the Vatican museum, Sistine Chapel and St. Peters.
Our guide did a great job moving us through the galleries at a nice pace, keeping the group of 12 together. He was very knowledgable and clear. I was happy that the tour description matched our experience.
Tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable but the whole tour was very rushed and at times felt like we were sprinting around the Vatican trying to keep up. Felt like lots of areas we missed seeing
The tour guide was very knowledgeable and without him we would have been lost. Tour lasted nearly 3 hours and covered the vatican museum, cistine Chapel and left us then to our own devices at St Peters Basilica
The guide was very informative. Good value for the cost. There are a lot of people visiting so be prepared for that. Didn’t have to wait.
I am sorry to say that this was not a good experience. Although the guide was knowledgeable, you did not hear what the guide said, showed no enthusiasm at all and did not wait for the group but started talking before we could new what about. We would have done better with a cheaper audio guide!
Out tour guide was incredible which resulted into an amazing experience in total. We enjoyed our tour!
We had a wonderful experience on the tour with Valerie. She is a lovely person and provided lots of interesting information, context and history throughout the tour. We couldnt be happier with the experience and highly recommend it!
Lots to see at these sites, but the guide was great at giving lots of the history and stories behind all the incredible paintings and sculptures and buildings. Will need to go back again for sure.
The tour was booked and 15 minutes before I was to enter I was called and told it was cancelled!! I was offered a much later tour and was unable to take it . I hope my money was refunded properly
It was an amazing experience to come and visit the Vatican love the experience to walk inside this amazing church. Our tour guide was great guy….
This tour was nice only in that it let us skip the line. Our tour guide was very voting to us, spending WAY too much time in each spot. We ended up leaving the tour and continuing through on our own, in half the time of the tour. Would not recommend this tour unless you are big art fans, and are ok taking a very slow stroll through the Vatican. Also, to note, our tour was too late in the day to see St. Peter’s, as it was closed by the time your finished. That would have been nice to know in advance. St. Peter’s Basilica closes at 5 so plan accordingly. Latest you could take this tour would be 1, as it is 3 hours (if you stay with group).
This was an amazing experience. Alex was the very best. We were in awe of what we saw and what we learned. If you would like to book a tour to see the Vatican, this will not disappear all.
Had to book at the last minute so it was very pricey for a 2 hr tour. Alex our guide was amazing, cordial, professional and VERY knowledgeable!
Amazing opulence. History and details of expertise were fascinating. So so busy and very hot. Herded like cattle. Collection of entrance tickets from nearby office was not very clear.
No complaints about the service provided by the company. The museum is incredible and the tour guide was great, but there were far too many people at the venue and that does detract from the experience quite a lot. It was uncomfortable weaving around the hordes of people. Once you get into the Sistine Chapel too, the guards escort you as if you’re cattle and try to get you out as quickly as possible.
This tour helped us get the most out of our trip to the Vatican. We went in late September and the museum was unbelievably crowded, so I was very grateful to be part of a tour group for practical purposes. Giuliana was very knowledgeable and helped us understand the historical context of the art, we really enjoyed her commentary. She also helped the group navigated the chaos of the museum while following the museum's many rules. I'd definitely recommend this tour to others.
It was difficult to understand the guide but a great experience overall and also based on the duration it was perfect for us and my 7 year old.
In on time and no queuing. Had an official museum guide who was very informative and kept us moving along at a perfect pace.
