Unique Photo Tour And Workshop In Rome Dusk To Dawn

This was the second tour we did with Emanuele. The previous tour he suggested that we meet at 5:15 instead of 5:30 in order to capture the blue hour at Spanish Steps. We went to Trevi Fountain (and it was still crowded even at 6 am) for some creative shots of statuary, the sky, people, shops & street activity before going to the Coliseum for sunrise. I came away with not only amazing photos but an expanded knowledge base that will further my skills.

I went on this tour with my daughter, who has loved photography for many years. Even though she has a degree in history and a degree in filmmaking, she learned an incredible amount about history and photographic techniques in this tour. It is so interesting to walk around the city at night with someone so familiar with it! Would highly recommended a tour with Giulio

Giulio was a great guide to the city and particularly to photography of the city. This tour really allowed me to get some incredible night shots from the best angles a views and his technical knowledge and education was really valuable. Would highly recommend!

Thought I'd gone mad wanting to do an all night tour on arrival in Rome.(Best tour of our 4 weeks in Europe)  The history lessons and  uncrowded locations Giulio took me to were extraordinary. Tips and tricks to improve my photography skills, composure, lighting and so much more.  Learning from a master, watching Giulio capture some street art. Such a excellent night filled with laughter and photography. Highly recommend as the best photography tour I did in Europe. Thankyou so much. I hope your exhibition go well.

What an amazing tour! Giulio was an excellent guide and provided a safe and informative tour. Not only does he teach you some finer tips in photography, but he is also a history buff and provides an interesting context to the sites you are visiting. In one night, we visited and photographed more sites then I could have done in a week on my own. An excellent value!

Fabulous and Awesome experience!!! It was a seamless experience from the moment we were picked up and dropped off hours later. Giulio was simply wonderful and relentless in ensuring that we experience all the Roman sights despite being wet and cold; explaining all the history and bringing us to spots to have great photo opportunities. Special thanks to Giulio for patiently helping me (a newbie to photography) - with the set up, framing, professional advice …… and the photos turned out amazing. This was a fantastic tour by Giulio who shares his passion and knowledge for both photography and history of wonderful city of Rome. He knows exactly the great locations to place the camera, and the resulting shots are simply amazing, thanks to his tips on composition and various camera settings. Each of the locations have such a rich history, and Giulio gives us a glimpse on the key highlights at each landmark (the explanations are very focused and concise, so just the right amount). Giulio is also very patient, and open to all of our requests, helpful in every way possible to ensure we get the most out of this tour. An excellent night out with superbly pleasant gentleman, this tour is highly recommended to anyone that loves taking night photos. Make sure to wear a comfortable walking shoes for best results! (and a raincoat and umbrella in case it rains - oh and did it rain during our tour, resulting in an unforgettable night out, and some great photos) Thank you Giulio, for the wonderful tour!

If had to just pick one tour...I'd highly recommend this one. You avoid the crowds, learn a little bit of history, are taught proper camera technique, and get to have amazing photos to brag to your friends and family about. Giulio is passionate about his city and loves to teach/share. An experience not to be missed.

i've done photo tours before, but this was beyond my expectations! Giulio made our Dusk to Dawn Rome photo tour magical. Rome can be chaotic during the day with the crowds, and this tour allows you to see this eternal city without the crowds. Giulio is very patient, knowledgeable, and most of all passionate about photography. His passion and knowledge of this eternal city added so much panache to our experience. We really enjoyed walking to each iconic location while Giulio narrated the history and some lesser known facts. He would show us different compositions to take pictures, which added dimension to the photographs. Giulio customized the locations as per our request. Giulio went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable. He brought snacks and drinks for us and kept checking in on us along the way. What more could you ask for?. We are going home with pictures and memories that would last us a lifetime! Highly Recommend !!!

An excellent evening event. I am a fairly basic photographer however Giulio did a great job, assisting with both the technical aspects of nightime photography as well as providing a lot if advice on composing dramatic images. He also provided a fair amount of interesting historical and cultural information as we toured around Rome’s historic sites. I would certainly recommend this tour to anyone with even a minor interest in photography, and would look forward to another opportunity to take another photo tour with Giulio.

I wasn't sure what to expect, but Giulio exceeded my expectations! He helped me with composing scenes and offering suggestions on camera settings like exposures and temperature. I am hopeful that I will use this new knowledge in my photography going forward. As to the "tour", I've been to Rome numerous times, but he took me places I had never been and also provided a lot of background information and history. Despite getting off to a rough start - the Metro A that I was going to take to meet him had closed for maintenance and then we ran into several blocked streets due to movie filming, we were able to visit more sites than I had imagined! If you're thinking of doing this on your own - don't! Take a tour with Giulio and you won't be disappointed.

He was very patient and willing to help get the best pictures possible. Would definitely go on another photography tour with him again.

I had the pleasure of taking a photo tour of Rome at night with Giulio. It was an absolutely high-quality and very well organized tour, the guide is from Rome and therefore knows his way around there very well. Accordingly, he leads us to excellent photo spots, pays attention to many details such as the best time for photos, the position of the sun and traffic. During the tour he also explains some of the history of Rome's sights and is always happy to help with various camera settings (if desired). I very much hope that he will continue to expand his range of courses and I would be very happy to be able to take part in further tours with him in the future. I had a lot of fun and the photos are absolutely great!

Although I am interested in capturing night scenes, it's not something I'd do on my own for various reasons. Giulio's unique tour made it possible, and he guided me solo. Giulio is very personable, courteous, efficient with time, and helpful. Being very familiar with the sights we visited, he knows where the good angles are and saved me a lot of time from finding the good compositions. He was also helpful with with technical issues. We covered a lot of ground in the time we spent together and it was time and money well spent. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful time with Giulio! He was so patient with us and took many pictures of me and my cousin. We visited many places at night and had dinner. I highly recommend you to choose Giulio to be your tour guide and photographer. We got so many nice pictures in Rome!

The detail, history and photography expertise was excellent. We went to a number of locations around Rome and taken a number of images from a range of vantage points. Giulio offered to extend the tour so we can take advantage of the morning blue hour if I wished, however time was not on my side as I flight to catch.

Let me start by saying thank you to Giulio for the magnificent photo tour “From dusk to dawn”, which i was able to do with him. Already in the first contact via email with him he answered fast, detailed and very gentle. He even offered a cheaper tour. And also my several further questions he answered in the same fast and gentle way. Like he was in his mails he was as well during the whole tour. Here he showed additionally big patience with my low experience as I am a beginner and so I was very nervous at the beginning. But he managed that i became more calm. And now I can say that I learned during the 7 hours more than what I knew before. But to be honest it was more than a photo tour. Apart from showing all these wonderful places he could give do many information and details of the places, many other topics and of course especially of the photography! And he gave these informations in a special way so that you won’t forget those informations (especially but not only the photographic) information afterwards. And as the tour took 7 hours there was also time to chat and discuss about other topics which I enjoyed very much. In short - a wonderful time which I don’t want to miss and for which I want to say thank you once again. I can strongly recommend everybody who is interested to see Rome in a unique way and who likes taking photos to book one of the photo tours with Giulio. Otherwise you would miss a wonderful time with a great photographer and Man.

We spent the entire night hitting various landmarks throughout Rome. I was a bit nervous being in a foreign city in the middle of the night, but quickly found Rome to be very safe. Giulio was very professional, friendly, accomodating, and skilled in the art of low-light protography. I left the tour with not only great photos, but also got some excellent camera configuration tips from Giulio. We highly recommend this tour and would consider doing it again the next time we are in Rome. This was one of three photography tours we booked with Giulio and were please with all three. For those considering this tour, a tripod will be required as many of the places visited were very dark and required long exposures. I used 30 second exposures in some places.

The No Heat, No Crowds Tour is the perfect way to capture Rome’s beauty and take it home with you! Giulio’s tour not only provided an awesome opportunity to capture the sights without the heat or the crowds, but he willingly shared valuable photography tips with me, to ensure my nighttime shots were perfect. Though six hours in the middle of the night may sound like a lot of time, I found that we used every second of it setting up for the perfect shot, taking it and moving along to the next sight. In addition to Giulio’s photography expertise, he is a wealth of Roman history knowledge. He did a fantastic job of explaining the history and significance of each of the sites we visited. I found the tour extremely valuable and my photos are gorgeous! I look forward to taking the tour again the next time I’m in the Eternal City!! If you’re on the fence about taking the shorter version of this tour or going with longer one, definitely take the longer tour. It was well worth the time and expense and knowledge gained! I highly recommend Giulio’s tour!

Wow, what an amazing tour. Our guide Giulio was knowledgeable and friendly. He made my 9 year old completely interested and awake the whole night visiting many different landmark until sunrise at the Vatican for the last location. This is the best tour to see Rome without the crowds and have the city to yourself!
