Tuscany Day Trip From Rome With Wine Tasting & Traditional Lunch

Do not book this tour. Worst experience. Nikkta was simply awful. From start of tour he was standoffish rude and was clear simply not interested in the job. When we asked him to share what to expect, he was to the point and told us to basically not bother him as he is not a morning person?!! This is a 12 hr tour and if you are not going to communicate basics of what to expect and be rude then we have a serious problem. We even offered him to stop the tour as we told him we were uncomfortable! He kept on driving. We felt highly unsafe and contacted Viator to contact the owner and they were also of no help, said will email can’t contact by phone, unreal. We then remembered the owner had texted us the night before to confirm the address, so tried texting and after we were already close to our first winery he responded. By then we treid to make the most of it, and for our own safety and sanity we tried to be extra nice to Nikita to change his mindset. Wtf?! $900 and having to deal with all this nonsense?! The owner didnt do anything, we just got by and were relieved to make it back safe and sound to our airbnb in Rome. Also the van was dirt old and had tremendous water marks making it miserable to view the sights while driving through otherwise beautiful Tuscany. Stay away from this tour company and god help you if you are stuck with Nikita as your tour guide. I should be demanding a full refund but dont want to deal with it and dont want to have to explain and re live the horror of the experience. I hope this review warns anyone considering paying for what is sold as a luxurious relaxing experience, anything but that! Sad!

We had the most amazing day trip to Tuscany with Nikita as our tour guide! The winery was absolutely beautiful, with incredible views, delicious wine, and such a friendly and knowledgeable sommelier. What really made the experience special, though, was Nikita. He was incredibly welcoming, attentive, and went above and beyond to make our day memorable. On our way back, he even took the time to show us an additional village, which was such a wonderful unexpected addition to the day. We were celebrating my husband’s 40th birthday, and this tour ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. We were extremely satisfied with the entire experience, but most of all with Nikita’s hospitality and the extra effort he put into making the day special for us. Thank you so much, Nikita! Yesterday’s Tuscany’s wine tasting and Pitigliano trip was lovely and most memorable. I am sorry we did not spend more time in Pitigliano. However, our driver, Nakitta, was THE BEST! He went out of his way to accommodate everyone with his every need. As a retired school teacher, l must say that he unquestionably deserves an A+! Your company is very fortunate to have him! We had a very enjoyable day in Tuscany with Nikita as our driver. The Tenuta Quinta winery was especially beautiful in Magliano and Manfreddi who did the private tasting was very engaging. We had 6 tastings with pecorino and prosciutto accompaniments. The tasting room had a panoramic view over the surrounding hills and even the coast. The next small town was Scansano where we had a classic 3-course Italian lunch on an outdoor patio. In the town we also had our second tasting in a private wine cave setting. A highlight was taking pictures below the stunning hilltop town of Pitigliano from the road celebrated with champagne opened by saber and limoncello. Our driver took us up to the top and gave us some free time in the very picturesque village. Nikita gave us a very comfortable relaxing day . We also very much appreciated being able to be picked up from our accommodations as well as being in a very small group. A 5-star day in a very quiet off -the -beaten- path part of Tuscany!!

A must do while in Italy, especially if traveling to Rome! Nikita was our tour guide and was outstanding. Very comfortable ride, beautiful views of the Italian country side, and great host overall. The vineyard was amazing, knowledgable staff, extremely hospitable and friendly! Lunch was amazing and very filling. Wine tastings were outstanding and definitely worth the price. Oh, yes! To drive through the countryside and see the acres of olive trees, vineyards and rolling hills is a vacation in itself. We enjoyed a fabulous wine tasting and tour, delicious lunch at a quaint restaurant and another wine tasting. So many conversations! To close the tour we enjoyed champagne cheers while overlooking the beautiful countryside. May I mention the finale, a glass of Limoncello! Absolute favorite celebratory beverage. I strongly recommend this tour event.

Awesome time! We went to the Tenuta il Quinto winery and had the absolute best time of our trip! Wine was first class, and it was just the four of us at our own personal wine tasting. Then, we had our very own chef cook us a 5 course meal for lunch. Manfreddi and Daniel were great hosts. We could have gone back to our hotel happy after that. By the way, our driver Nikita, picked us up at the hotel! After the wine tour, we went to a 600 year old wine cellar and tried some more wine. Then, Nikita took us to a secluded spot in Tuscany to top us off with some Sparking wine and Lemicello shots! Sign up for this tour today. You will NOT regret it.

We loved this wine tour! Not only is the wine delicious but the view at the vineyard was breathtaking and the winery is gorgeous. Alex, our tour guide, was very communicative and professional answering all of my questions even before booking the tour. My boyfriend has celiacs disease and Alex went above and beyond to accommodate his dietary needs. We didn’t have any issues. Daniele and Manfreddy at the winery were excellent at their jobs. Everyone was positive, warm and friendly as well as knowledgeable about wine. Having door to door service on a short trip to Italy also made it a no brainer to book. We really enjoyed this tour and would recommend it to anyone going to Italy!

This was the absolute best tour we could ever have taken. From the scheduling of the booking to the pickup and transportation to the winery and the conversation along the way we could not have had a better experience. Alex chose the perfect winery stops! He is very knowledgeable of the area and wines. The first winery Tenuta il Quinto was a very personal tour and tasting experience. Our wine hosts were very interactive. We had a wonderful lunch at a nearby restaurant . We then went to a wine shop, Eneoteca Scansanese for wine tasting. They asked many questions about our personal wines and taliored the tasting around us. Alex then has a special surprise for us…. A giant bench overlooking the Tuscan scenery!!! Breathtaking views and then a a bigger surprise he demonstrated how to open up a sparkling wine with a saber…clean perfect cut in one swift move! Plus 2 more special treats. Alex was so professional and knowledgeable plus a great conversationalist. I highly recommend this tour and would give more than five stars if it let me.

This excursion to Tuscany from Rome was by far our favorite thing we did for our anniversary trip. From start to finish, this trip is worth the money. The trip allows for up to 8 people in the van and it ended up being just my husband and I, which was amazing because we took the tour on our anniversary day. So, we had a private wine tasting just for us. The first winery’s stop is AMAZING! Beautiful vineyard, amazing wine making facility and the wine is amazing. I came into this tour thinking that I only like white wines. I left loving red wine from this vineyard and actually shipped an entire case of red wine home for us to enjoy later. The owners of this vineyard put time and thought into building this vineyard and about hosting wine tastings and future events. It’s something special and I hope it keeps its charm as more people learn of this vineyard. The lunch in the small town was very good and the second winery’s stop tasting is in a very nice shoppe around the corner from the lunch spot. The shoppe has an amazing collection of rare wines and the shoppe owner knows his wines. He had an amazing ability to select wines for you to taste based on your feedback after only tasting 1 or 2 wines. If you are a wine connoisseur or just a casual wine drinker (like us), this tour is a must. Alex is a great host and is very thoughtful and attentive to your needs. The only downside to the tour was not having enough down/quiet time in the van. After enjoying wine, you are mellow and just want to unwind and enjoy your warm feelings in silence or have a casual talk with your person about the experience.

All the credit goes to my wife who book an amazing trip but the tour guide Alex made this trip a phenomenal experience! It began with personalized pickup at our hotel and the conversation to Tuscany was fantastic. Yes all day tour began with the most amazing experience at a winery where we tried so many wonderful wines and the views were breathtaking. Additionally we experienced a lunch many courses and flavors to experience with a view unimaginable. Our next stop was a wine shop in a small town which was lovely but the underground caves was so special with the owner. Then one last surprise stop to take in one of the last stunning views and a celebration finish which I will leave for you to find out. Alex and their team focusing on very small intimate tours and we only had three of us in this particular tour making it extremely personal. This trip was worth every penny and I would recommend and do it again.

This was the most amazing tour ever. The guide Alex was absolutely incredible. Very knowledgeable, go w the flow, kind, and fun. The vineyard was an A+++ the most beautiful place I have ever been to in my entire like. The guide was so knowledgeable and the wine was perfect. A private chef made us the most fresh delicious meal imaginable. We got to sit on the back porch while served flowing wine. Over looking the beautiful tuscan views. This vineyard is just stunning can’t say enough about it. Much to our surprise Alex stopped along the way home at another vineyard. Where he had champagne for us and lemon cello. Was such a fun thoughtful treat. Cannot recommend this tour enough also the perfect amount of time for the tour.

We had a private driver named Alex. Very nice and knowledgeable about our trip. He picked us up at our hotel on time. From there it’s about 1.5 hours to southern Tuscany. We went to a small private vineyard that was out of this world. Amazing wines and the served us like a 5 or 6 course meal. Amazing scenery and lunch. 5 stars for sure. This was the highlight of the trip. After thaf we stopped at a local wine shop to taste more wines, shop, and went into the cellar where they had all the “ good stuff” Last part of the trip was a surprise. I’ll leave it al that. It exceeded my expectations and I highly recommend this tour!!

Our guide Alex was absolutely unbelievable/ knowledgeable, easy going, friendly, went above and beyond. No rush allows you to spend as much time as you prefer or as lil. The winery we went to was absolutely amazing. The best wines, host, the must unbelievably beautiful place I have ever experienced in my entire life. and we travel a lot!! A private chef cooked for us while we dined on patio w the most beautiful views paired w delicious wines. Could have stayed there all day in the beautiful gardens while tasting the wines. Much to our surprise alex stopped on way back.. in a beautiful vineyard you can also touch or taste the grapes. While he brought us prosecco to drink picnic style and ended w yummy lemoncello. Once again I can not recommend this tour more. You will want to go back again as do we. Also not to long of a tide from rome and the perfect amount of time. Enjoy!

This is an amazing and intimate way to experience Tuscany! Alex, our guide was phenomenal. Alex planned the perfect day and the only way I want to see Tuscany! He picked us up from our Airbnb in Rome, stopped at a local gas station along the way so we could grab snacks and coffee for the ride. Once we arrived to the winery/vineyard we were greeted by Manfreddie, who then gave us the winery tour and explained the wine making process. The winery is impeccable, down to the smallest detail. Simple yet elegant. The tour took us through the barrel rooms were the aromas were amazing. The tasting room had panoramic views of the vineyard, including ocean and island views. Gorgeous views while tasting wine. The tour also included lunch by a private chef. The food was amazing as our group ate outside on the patio overlooking the property. More wine was served with each course to compliment the meal. Once we finished and said our goodbyes to the winery staff, Alex took us to our next tasting. This included a tour and additional tasting in a private cave/cellar. After this tasting was over Alex had a final surprise for us. He drove us through the hills of Tuscany to a spot with the best views of the Tuscan valley, where we celebrated a beautiful day together with prosecco and limoncello. Alex is the best! He has a great personality and knowledgeable about the areas and made the trip fun! Definitely book this tour with Alex!!

The first winery, location with views, and the lunch was AMAZING. Alex provided a nice surprise at the end as well. We did not care for the second winery as much, but the first one more than made up for the second one. The second winery was beautiful but they were stingy with their pours. Lol. This wine tour was one of our best days out of our entire 3 weeks in Rome. Alex, our driver, was personable and fun.

We had the best time on our day trip to Tuscany with our tour guide, Alex. The tour had lots great wine and a delicious lunch with amazing views. Alex went above and beyond, and we would highly recommend this tour to anyone.

We had a great time, hotel pickup went smoothly and coordinated well. We sampled about 12 wines total from the region. Lunch was delicious with generous portions and the view was amazing. Our guide, Alex, was fantastic and fun, with great insights. Each stop was a fun experience!

Alex was an excellent tour guide and host. We had a great time at the small winery where we got to taste six wines and learn more about the processes of making ilalien wine. The next stop had a gorgeous view for lunch. The third stop was at a wine cellar and we got to taste at least five white wines and then even more red wine. At the end, Alex had a surprise for us that had an excellent view and experience. It was a great way to spend my birthday.

My daughter and I had a great day! We really enjoyed our visit to Tenuta Il Quinto winery. They were so welcoming and obviously passionate about wine. Magliano is a beautiful village. Our tour experience with Alex was amazing! We started the day at Tenuto il Quinto for a tour and a wine tasting. We thoroughly enjoyed seeing the process of making the wine and the wine we tasted was delicious. We had lunch and another tasting in Magliano, and the food was first class. Alex took us to some beautiful vantage points to view the Tuscan countryside, and he went out of his way to make this day special for me and my mom. I highly recommend both this tour and Alex as a guide. A top experience in Italy, for sure!
