Not what we expected. Not worth the money we spent. Guide was nice but could not hear her most of the time, might have been better if we had headphones

Itinerary
The structures of an imperial imperial domus, the castellum aquae of the Virgin Aqueduct and the evocative exhibits (including the famous face of Alessandro helios), finds discovered during the renovation of the former Cinema Trevi. On a journey backward in time, it is possible to touch Rome’s millennial stratification and observe the archaeological evidence of the great events that characterised the city’s history, from the realisation of Aqua Virgo to the fire of Nero, from the sack of Alarico to the siege of the Goths.
The most famous of the Roman fountains: a jewel of water and stone. It is tradition during your citytrip Rome to throw a coin into the Fontana di Trevi – keep your eyes closed and throw the coin into the water over your left shoulder using your right hand. According to legend, the person who throws the coin will one day return to Rome. Did you throw two coins into the fountain? You will find your love in Rome. Prefer to get married (or divorced)? Throw three coins into the fountain. Every week, the municipality of Rome cleans the Fontana di Trevi and donates a large portion of the proceeds (1.4 million annually) to a charity that helps poor families.

Naomi was an excellent guide and expressed so much interesting and entertaining information. Doing this tour before seeing the Trevi Fountain made the whole day so much more memorable and exciting!
While this tour was interesting, it was also very short. There was no mention of Gelato at the end..
Enjoyed the guide and tour. Lots of interesting information and kinda neat to this from underneath the streets of Rome
This experience provides you with a detailed explanation of the early Roman water system. The aqueduct underground, the museum associated with it and the knowledge provided by the Tour Guide made the experience very worth while. In addition, this tour came with the ticket allowing you access to the lower levels of the Trevi Fountain for an up close view and picture taking session of this fountain masterpiece. Our Tour package also included a gelato at the end which was well received on a very hot day. The Tour does not mean you will go “under” the Trevi Fountain. If you are thinking this is what you will see, you will be disappointed. However, you will see the earliest infrastructure of the water system feeding some of the most famous fountains in Roma.
Elena was my guide today, which made all the difference. I can see how this tour could be easily accomplished by simply buying an audio guide and touring the cistern by yourself; however Elena’s knowledge was so deep and her enthusiasm for the subject so great, that I couldn’t help but enjoy myself. If the other guides are as good as she, then it’s worth purchasing the tour.
Excellent tour! Erica was the best guide, so knowledgeable about the history of Rome, and she made it interesting as well. I could have listened to her all day! You will have earbuds to hear well. The space is not big, but there is so much to see. I can’t imagine not having a guide, you would have no idea what you are looking at. Also get tickets to go down to the front of the Trevi Fountain, and a voucher for gelato at the shop right in front of the fountain. This is my fourth time in Rome, and this tour is one of my favorites we’ve done. Also is not too long and you have to to explore the area on your own. Highly recommend!
Our tour guide Erica was extremely knowledgeable and made the museum worth going to. There is no way we would have gotten as much out of it via the audio guide. If you want to visit the museum, book this guided tour.
While I thought there was more to the Trevi Underground, the guide was wonderful. Make sure you know that the Underground portion is about the length of a living room and dining room. However, the guide Naomi was superb.
This tour was the most informative tour i have been on. I didn't realise the hour was up. The tour guide was amazing. I would recommend this tour to everyone who comes to Rome. 10 out of 10
Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable, professional and friendly. She explained everything so everyone could understand and grasp the layers of history. I would highly recommend thus tour and she should be applauded for her ethics.
extremely interesting, incredible insight into the water workings, skip the line to get close to the fountain a plus.
The Trevi Fountain Guided tour was perfectly organised and the Guide Erica was great fun. Well done
Such a great experience, history in every step. Erica, our guide, was welcoming and so informative, brought history to life with her knowledge and passion for Rome. Her ability to highlight each era of Rome using the layers of the exposed underground cistern and how each era was built on to improve conditions, detailing the Roman recycling system, the aquaducts that feed the beautiful fountains and their use today. Simply mindblowing. A must do for anyone coming to Rome. Grazie Mille Erica!
Great tour guide! Awesome information and explanation! Fun facts under the ground! Highly recommend with this tour guide!
It would it be nice to be taken to the fountain and be explained about it, who is represented in there and other details. Our tour guide took us to the underground and give us a very good and detailed history about the ancient Romans then ice cream!
Good guide and Unusual experience, well worth seeing behind the scenes. Left with worthwhile memories
Erika was fantastic! We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and gelato by the Trevi Fountain afterwards. Not too long, Definitely recommend.
The tour guide was exceptional. Very knowledgeable and took the time to answer our questions. She may have been the best tour guide we have ever had.
It's a short tour but very educated restored and preserved to a high standard recommended you pre-book as it sells out fast
The personalized stories that our guide told and explained made it much more interesting than if I did this unguided. She was slow and courteous as we walked around, waiting for all of us to catch up to her. Before and afterwards she gave me a few tips on dinner and future destinations. I’ll be thinking of her in a few days when I visit Florence.
Excellent and knowledgeable guide “Erika” looked after us. Very informative and great place to see 2 min from the busy Trevi fountain. Highly recommend!
The tour was fascinating. As stunning as the fountain itself is, I found it really interesting to learn about a different aspect of it.
This was a short tour. The visuals were very limited. I thought it would be longer and I thought we would see more
Tour guide Erika was excellent. The underground experience lacked substance as it was restricted to a small area. Still very interesting and nice to finish with an end of tour gelato.
Very disappointed as we waited over 40 minutes from the scheduled start time because our tour guide did not show and a substitute had to be found. The substitute guide did an outstanding job but the disappointment of having a customer wait like this is really inexcusable
