Daniel was amazing and great sense of humor, learned a ton! Super respectful of our time constraints and even helped guide us in the area.

Daniel was a great tour guide! Extremely knowledgeable and was very educational as we waited to get in. My husband has visited the Basilica before and said Daniel showed him aspects that he previously hasn’t seen, didn’t know or didn’t notice. Daniel is great for travelers that are interested in learning history, not just to get a topical walkthrough. Note that the tour may take longer than estimated as you’re at the mercy of the crowd/lines. Budget another hour at least to be safe.

Our guide was very nice and knowledgeable, however, the agency did not buy the dome climb ticket before hand so we waited more than 1 hour outside under the beating sun. Wish the planning could've been better. I would recommend the experience about the tour and the climb but maybe not with this tour company

It was excellent. Our guide Valentin was amazing. Would do other tours with him in Rome if I had thought to get his information. He was very knowledgeable gave us a lot of history and was very engaged and answered questions. We even played a game with one if the statues. Excellent guide.

The walk up the dome is hard for somebody with good physical capacity, so think about it before you start the climb, it is also very narrow and not for Claustrophobic people. Our guide was very informative. It’s a must see if you are in Rome.

Absolutely wonderful, travel guide did a excellent job. Highly recommend. Very important to be patient as the lines can be long. Having very comfortable shoes is a plus.

I lost the guide in the busy crowd. She was excellent, but because three or four guides all had the same flags, I couldn't pick her out of the crowd. I only was able to reconnect with her through a phone call with my family member. Because I couldn't find her due to similar colored flags, I missed a part of the tour. I'm unhappy with that situation, but she was great as a guide.

Excellent experience. Skipped the main lines and queued in the tour group line which save a lot of time. Tour leader Sylvia was excellent and I would highly recommend her tour. Highly recommend including the Basilica on any visit to Rome.

This tour was definitely worth it. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and moved us through the crowds as best she could. She pointed out a lot of things we otherwise wouldn't have known. The dome climb was super cool, however it is a long wait(about an hour),but getting to the top is absolutely worth it.

Two hour tour of St. Peter’s , guide was awesome. We couldn’t climb the dome due to overcrowding (not guide’s fault!).

We had a wonderful experience on our Basilica tour with Tourkis! Our guide, Silvia, was absolutely excellent. She was incredibly informative, knowledgeable, and did a fantastic job bringing the history and significance of the Basilica to life. She was friendly, engaging, and made the entire tour enjoyable from beginning to end. We learned so much and truly appreciated her expertise. We highly recommend Tourkis and especially Silvia as a guide!

My husband and I did a tour earlier of the Vatican Museums & Sistene Chspel and free roaming of Basillica and grounds but didnt have details about Saint Peter's art work, grotto and dome climb. I am so glad we did 2 separate tours to almost get everything. We didnt wait too long in line to check our bags about 15min in hot sun even on Sept 25. Bring Umbrella and Fans! Dome climb was easier than Florence! You can use elevator to go up to inner dome but it was too long of a wait, so we took stairs. I am 56 my husband 62. We had to go up further which was tighter stairs and more spiral feel at about 4pm it was packed but glad I did it to go outside on top of Dome. Going down was super easy but we had a treat before going all the way down.

My husband and I had an amazing experience on our St. Peter’s Basilica and Dome Climb tour on Monday, September 21st. St. Peter’s Basilica was absolutely breathtaking. The size, beauty, artwork, and incredible amount of detail inside were unlike anything we had ever seen before. Our tour guide Daniel did a fantastic job. He was extremely knowledgeable, easy to understand, and explained things in a way that made the history interesting and memorable. He shared so many little details and nuances that both my husband and I left wanting to learn even more about the Basilica, the church, and the history of Rome. We also really appreciated that it was a small group. It made the experience feel much more personal, and we always felt comfortable asking questions and interacting with Daniel throughout the tour. The Dome climb was definitely an adventure and a once-in-a-lifetime experience for us. The climb itself was challenging, but absolutely worth it. Being able to see the rooftop and then continue all the way to the top of the dome was incredible. Once we reached the top, the views were breathtaking. St. Peter’s Basilica was truly one of the most impressive places we visited during our time in Rome. Between the beauty of the Basilica, Daniel’s excellent guidance, and the unforgettable Dome climb, this was a fantastic experience from beginning to end.

We had a wonderful and memorable experience touring St. Peter’s Basilica, the Dome, and the Grottoes. This was truly one of the highlights of our time in Rome! Our tour guide, Silvia, was outstanding. She was extremely knowledgeable, informative, professional, and engaging throughout the entire tour. Silvia did an excellent job explaining the history, architecture, artwork, and religious significance of St. Peter’s Basilica in a way that was easy to understand and genuinely fascinating. Her passion for the history and significance of the site really came through, and she made the experience much more meaningful than simply walking through the basilica on our own.

I enjoyed the tour. Our guide was very nice and knew a lot! The only reason I’m giving 4 stars is there was a lot of waiting around during this tour. Our guide had to check in at the front of St Peter’s basilica - she said it was for the headsets. Then, we had to wait about 20 min to get tickets to for the dome climb. I understand St Peter’s Basilica is a busy place but I think this info should be clearly stated on the description for the tour as I wasn’t expecting these pauses in our tour. Overall, I did really enjoy the tour and our guide was fantastic!

The Basilica is beautiful, and so much more enjoyable with the information provided by Sylvia! It was crowded on our tour day, as there were 2 schools visiting that day, but we were still able to enjoy the tour and take pictures of everything we wanted to see! Would highly recommend this tour to anyone!

That you still need to queue for entry into the Basilica (but the queue could be short, as was ours).

While the tour itself would have been great, the tourguide we had who was an American from Colorado was horrible. He was arrogant, so academic it was hard to follow what he was sharing, and he was making jokes and overall just not sharing any love of the place or the history. He knew a lot but his approach to sharing was offensive.

Sylvia was an excellent guide who ensured the group was well cared for. She has an excellent understanding of the history and theological aspects of the Vatican. Her appreciation of this as a sacred place was obvious.

The Dome climb was a real adventure with fabulous views; St Peter's Basilica just jaw dropping; grottos were most interesting with Tomb of St Peter as highlight. Nakita a pleasant guide who worked hard to get us to the lifts - do not go on Sunday as St Peter's Mass in the morning means there might be 1.5hrs queue for the lift to the Dome - if you ascent by stairs much quicker; Guide is helpful to make sure you are hooked into the audio but a bit quick to tap the 5☆ review as she is doing so. I am not big on online-audio whilst viewing so the main benefit/value was Guides facilitation to St Peter's and the Dome lift - so just about value for fee paid!

This tour was canceled the day before I was to go. I guess my tour guide didn't have enough people in the group and didn't want to deal with the heat. I don't know. I never got a full explanation. I did get a full refund so that was fair. Disappointed about the abrupt cancelation.
