Very well organised 7 hour round coach trip to see Villa Adriana and Villa d’Este. Went on a Sunday so far less traffic from and to Rome. Both sites are highly recommended. Chose to use an organised trip for ease of logistics and to gain for information from a professional guide. Este is not suitable for those who don’t like lots of steps. The guide, Giuseppe Tavani was very informative and timed each visit well keeping everyone on time. Great escape from the hustle and bustle of Rome for the day. Really enjoyed the trip

My husband and I enjoyed a break from our stay in Rome to check out two AMAZING villas, Guissepi gave us the timings and showed us where to go, but we could go at our own pace, we were well looked after on the bus, and had plenty of time to see the attractions and to get some lovely local food in Trivoli. Thank you Joseph!

Guíseppe was an excellent local guide! We had a great time! The meeting point was a bit outside of the city center, but not too terribly difficult to find.

Giuseppe did a great job especially considering he had to take care of his assistance job also she was stuck on a broken metro train! He was very knowledgeable easy to understand just all around nice guy. You will be very lucky if you get him as your tour guide!

It's a must tour for couple & solo or with friends. Be ready for lots and lots of staircase to go back up

He managed the tour very well including rest stops, bathroom breaks while keeping us all on schedule. He encouraged folks to speak Italian and we learned new phrases. I would highly recommend this tour. The overall the tour was informative, fun and worth the cost. It was a highlight of our trip to Italy.

Great whistle-stop tour of both places. Hadrian's Villa could probably fill a day on it's own. Guide Guisseppe was very good. Be prepared that as usual most tourists will ruthlessly push past you to get their photos, then wander around in front of you when you're trying to take yours oblivious, and also have no Concept of pushing past you in a queue as being rude.

Good experience. Would have been nicer to have more time in Hadrian’s Villa. We skirted the outside but did not venture too far in. Our guide Joeseppi was excellent in his local and historical knowledge.

Villa D’este was an experience ! Worth all the hype ! The 6hours tour went by fast it is quite a lot of walking uphill and downhill and lots of stairs so be prepared tour guide Giuseppe was really nervous very and informative! The only thing that truly was a bad experience was the food add on we should never t have done that the restaurant in Tivoli was the worst experience all the cutlery and glasses we dirty the staff had a bad attitude and the food was inedible honestly we walked out and left and had some gelato instead so I would say do not pay the extra for food

We had mixed feeling about our experience. The sights were breathtaking, the itinerary was well paced and our guide Josef exceptional- very knowledgeable, friendly and engaging throughout the entire trip. Unfortunately the day was let down by the included lunch. There were essentially no food options to choose from and what we were served was very basic and underwhelming. (The coffee that was part of the menu wasn’t even served). It felt like a complete afterthought compared to the rest of the whole day which was absolutely brilliant and could have been the perfect day. I would highly recommend the tour for the sightseeing and the guide but the company seriously needs to upgrade their lunch arrangements or allow the guests to find their own choice of restaurant which are many close by.

Good trip, easy logistics. Both sites are very cool and I wish I had more time at Hadrians Villa but I know time is short! Overall good experience.

Our guide Giuseppe was amazing and so patient with my husband and I since we moved a little slowly. He was well-informed and so friendly. He made the trip so good. Tivoli was beautiful and we are so happy we came on this tour.

Giuseppe was wonderful! As a native, he as much pride and knowledge of his town! I cannot put into words the beauty and extravagance of Villa D’Este; could have easily spent half a day there alone marveling at it all. 10/10 would book again!

Giuseppe did a great job. The tour was very informative and went very well. It is worthwhile for sure. My only constructive feedback is in relation to the bus, my seat belt did not work, the air conditioning was poor at best and the bus was much worse compared to other tours we took.

Giuseppe was fantastic! This trip was hands down our favorite part of our Europe trip. I highly suggest this experience and Giuseppe was a wonderful tour guide, so helpful and knowledgeable. True local with really amazing recommendations for food and gelato, leather, etc.

Nice trip, definitely worth bundling the two spots together, and Giuseppe clearly knew his stuff and was familiar with Tivoli. Also I didn't get the bundle lunch but it was pretty easy to find a nice spot in the city.

Giuseppe was a fantastic guide. He was extremely knowledge and struck a good balance between walking us around while sharing information and giving us time to explore and take pictures. The pickup in Rome was easy and transportation to Tivoli made everything a breeze. Hadrian's villa is something to see and Villa d'Este is spectacular. The preservation of frescoes, mosaics, incredible fountains and breathtaking view cannot be missed.

The guide was in the meeting exactly as described. The driver left the group safely and our guide - Marzia- conducted us for an amazing tour in both places. The lunch was delicious and well served. Great day!

Marsha, our guide, took us through history and brought alive the passion and determination to build both sites. Beautifully presented they were both fascinating structures of stone and nature the you need to see to believe. Easily paced the overall tour gives you time to explore and understand.

This tour to Tivoli was one of the highlights of our trip! Visiting Villa d’Este and Hadrian’s Villa was an incredible experience—both are absolutely breathtaking and so rich in history. It’s hard to believe how much beauty and history are packed into one day. Our guide, Joseph, made the experience even better. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about the sites we visited. His stories and historical insights brought everything to life, and he made the day enjoyable from start to finish. My and fellow traveller's main complaint is that we took off for Tivoli at 9.30 am as planed and about 30 minutes or so later the bus turned around to go and pick up two passengers. It wasn't clear who was to blame because they weren't there when we boarded. Unbelievably instead of bringing these two traveller's to Tivoli in a taxi the y inconvenineced all of us in 94 degree heat and bad air conditoned bus taking the bus BACK to Rome to pick them up. This is totally unacceptable. Worse stil the guide/company didn't even serve us cold drinks during the drive to Tivoli.. The tour was quite good. the guide in Tivoli provided a good tour.

The guide Giuseppe was terrific. His knowledge and rapport with the group was great. The bus driver, Vincenzo, was prompt and personable. Yes, that makes a big difference between a great tour experience and a poor one. The time given at each site was enough to wander without being too short or too long. My ONLY complaint was the bus had very weak air conditioning. For a bus that small, it should have been comfortable in the bus. I, however, was sweating like the air conditioning was nonexistent.

Super easy from Rome, everything is taken care of. Would be very hard to get to both places if we tried to do it on our own. So highly recommend to book, seat, listen, relax!!!

The notice said arrive at least 25 minutes early, which we did. No one was there. Our cab driver read familiar with this tour and confirmed location. Still no one arrived. I called bistro and was told to go to metro station. That was not specific and we missed the tour. We were correct in the first place. There should have been a guide there early. Please reimburse us for this tour. That cost plus transportation both ways is a huge loss. I can’t recommend Viator unless my request is address. Additionally, I never received the correct email and wrote in advance to alert Viator.
