Just call it a reservation at the restaurant, nothing more. Food was good and it was still a worthwhile experience, but you might as well just book a reservation on the website for the restaurant. They couldn’t even find our name when we arrived in the system, but they still accommodated us.
To learn how to make different shapes of pasta from the iconic place that invented the Alfredo, was a once in a lifetime experience. The lunch served after was superb!
Alfredo’s wife suffered after delivering a baby and he created his famous dish to give her strength. For all of us who have benefited - or at least pleasured - from his remedy, a dinner at one of the two restaurants where he worked in Rome is a pilgrimage. The opportunity to meet a current chef and discuss pasta history and techniques is a tourist treasure. And, your group will stay for a meal as a special guest. Fun and informative. Come home with the certificate, the apron, and another pound.
This is my 2nd time to visit Alfredo Restaurant and honestly it hasn’t let me down! If you love pasta, you must trust their original Alfredo pasta - let’s just say i finished my portion and could have gone for a second round. We sat outside, they had heaters so i was kept warm and plus inside are pictures of celebrities that have visited them from all over the world! Whoever is there, give it a try and book in advance as they tend to be busy.
The food was amazing! The tasting menu was really superb and the experience was really excellent overall!!! By far, the best fettuccini alfredo I've ever had!!!
They weren’t expecting us. They did their best to throw something together for us but it was obvious that it wasn’t the normal class.
Finally I’ve tried then original Alfredo pasta in Rome. It was a great experience to combine it with beef. Ambience and service complemented our dinner experience
The food was very good. A little disappointed about the dessert. The head waiter was awesome and contributed to an amazing evening. While the service unfortunately was not up to the standards of 5 stars.
Great service and absolutely amazing food! We were welcomed with wine, and appetizers. The staff that tended to our table was very attentive. The meal was amazing and ambiance elegant in every way.
Make sure you fast for a couple of days before you venture into this. Our pasta class was held by their executive chef and was very understanding with our sometimes awkwardness. ( you have to make and hand roll the pasta, no machine). Then you are seated and given a gourmand 4 course dinner including their famous Fetucinne Alfredo. This is the 2nd course and we were waving the white flag then.
Had so much fun at this cooking class! Learn how to make different kinds of pasta and get a little goody bag to go. You then get an amazing sit down meal at the restaurant. Well worth doing, highly recommend!
Wife and I took the pre-dinner class while in Rome last month. The chef who taught us was warm, friendly and very patient with us. Learned how to make pasta as well as the different cuts. Afterwards, had a delicious 3 course meal. Wait staff was incredible and really glad we had the opportunity to do this!
What an incredible experience! The entire staff was wonderful and the food stupendous! The gift bags were a nice surprise?
The restaurant was quaint and the waiting staff was brilliant. The main reason we booked was for the Alfredo pasta and it was unfortunately a massive let down! :( Some pasta was still undercooked. We actually expected more ingredients and you could basically only taste pasta and cheese! The entrees and dessert on the other hand were the heroes of the evening and tasted amazing!
It happend that we actually had a private cooking lesson of how to make the true italian pasta since none else booked for the same day. Be aware that in the cooking lesson there are no sauce recipes included. The dinner was a fantastic experience. The staff was very friendly and always happy to serve you. We had a fantastic evening
We felt like we were put in a corner and forgotten about. Food was good. But service was not. We were not happy with this experience.

This was a great lunch! Wonderful food and great service! The portions are massive so come hungry.

This was a fantastic experience for our two teen aged boys who LOVE fettuccine alfredo!. They happened to be the only two participants so it felt very intimate and special. They really learned a lot! The one thing I'll say is the class is taught by a professional chef from the restaurant. It's not a kids class. They need to be prepared to work and to follow instructions carefully - it's designed to be instructional, not supper warm and fuzzy. I wouldn't recommend it for kids under 12 or 13 and adults will love it. Lunch after is fantastic although you're NOT eating what you made. Worth the money!

Okay - this was really fabulous. I must confess that Fettucine Alfredo is one of my most-loved indulgences. We did not do the class, but to be able to have it at the original restaurant as part of a 4-course dinner was a blast. Service was excellent we never felt like we were just another tourist, portions were great, quality was terrific and the place was super cool. We will fondly remember our experience at Alfredo's for a long, long time!

Oh my goodness the food was absolutely incredible!

Amazing the pasta, the wine and the tiramisu, coffee. I highly recommend.

This pasta making class was so much fun, and the lunch following was spectacular! Our chef, as well as his assistant, really took the time to teach the class the fine art of making fettuccine, tortellini, etc.! We were all assigned our own station, with our own work-space and ingredients. When the class was finished, we proceeded to the restaurant where we enjoyed a wonderful lunch, complete with vino! I would DEFINITELY recommend this, and we even returned for dinner our last night in Roma!!! FABULOUS!!!

This class was amazing and the food was incredible! Highly recommended!

Very private- two of us plus two chefs from the Original Alfredo di Roma. They tought us to make fettucini from scratch, gave us their original recipe and guess what we got to eat a full lunch at Alfredo's. Nothing better than that. Truly awesome.

What a fun way to enjoy lunch! They were all set up and waiting for us with an apéritif. The chef gave my husband and I a 1-hr hands on lesson on how to make pasta. We had a few laughs, made a mess and learned a lot. Afterwards we sat and were spoiled as they brought out the preset menu. We had a great lunch of antipasto, wine, fettuccine alfredo and tiramisu. The pasta in Rome is like nothing we've found in the States or UK. They even gave us a box of the fettuccine to take home although not fresh it is still better than what I normally find in the grocery store. I highly recommend it as something different to do in-between all the galleries and museums.

We had such a great time with the Making Pizza and Gelato Tour in Florence that our teenagers wanted to do another cooking class in Rome. This was different from the first one - takes place in the restaurant before opening, then you stay and have a fairly traditional lunch. You learn how to make your own pasta, different types and even ravioli - which my daughter has already done since we got home. They really do not teach you alfredo but you get a general recipe before you leave. And you get to eat the Alfredo in the restaurant for lunch. We enjoyed ourselves, had some laughs and our teens have some new skills that will stay with them forever.

I booked thinking I would learn how to make fettucine alfredo complete dish This is not worth the money I paid almost 200 US for 2 people Yes, it did include lunch afterwards, but the cooking part that I was most excited about was not really cooking They showed us how to make homemade pasta and how to cut the pasta into different sizes and then it was over..what about the alfredo sauce?!!! We also did not get recipes to take home as it states in voucher either.
The lunch was good but not worth the money, would actually have saved money by just ordering off the menu as italian food is very reasonable in Italy.

This was a great experience! We loved learning to make pasta - the Chef was charming. Lunch was the best part, the food was great and the surprise during lunch no spoiler alert, was VERY COOL. We felt like we got to be a part of the Alfredo history. I recommend this for foodies and those just wanting to do something different. This was a great bonding experience for my son and I.
Grazie!

Completely outstanding! The staff was so friendly and kind and helpful. It ended up just being us two in the class with the chef so we can to joke around a lot. The pasta was out of this world! We also learned that this restaurant is actually the birthplace for Fettuccine Alfredo! They mix up the cheese table-side and I was handed the restaurant's golden spoon and fork to eat with. When they learned we were on our honeymoon, they treated us to dessert as well. Definitely the highlight experience of our trip and would recommend to anyone! Can't wait to show what we learned and cook with our friends and family.

You have to book with a credit card and you pay a penalty if you don't cancel. We waited an hour for the plate of fettuccine and they served me overcooked pasta on a small plate! We ordered 2 tiramisus and after waiting 20 minutes only one arrived, then another wait of another 20 minutes for the tiramisu, which was all cream with a hard, dry cookie underneath that wasn't soaked in coffee! At 12 euros, it could at least have been made well! There are all these photos of artists with big plates in front of them! I do not recommend going!
Delicious pasta, a nice place, and a famous spot.
We went to taste the fettuccini alfredo and they really are excellent. A simple dinner, very good service with dessert and very good wines. We didn't think it was expensive. The cozy place in a small Roman street.
We stayed in this restaurant my daughter took the carbonara that we did not like for the too strong pecorino inside, my older sister took the fettuccine all’Alfredo together with my husband and we liked those, always there a lot of cheese presence, instead my mother who does not eat cheese had to take pasta with tomato since in the other dishes there was too much cheese. We will never return..
We were in pairs for Christmas Day - tasting menu for 70€ per person + 10% service excluding drinks - we practically paid 193€ for some very disappointing tastings (bad quality meat) - the only dish salvageable Alfredo's fettuccine! I recommend going there just for that. Otherwise it is to be avoided!
Once again we went to Alfredo who never disappoints us. Fettuccini are the house dish and retain the quality and good flavor they always have. We tried other carbonara and meat tartar dishes, super good. We highlight the quality of the service, we were very well attended throughout the dinner
Zero for the Restaurant and zero for Trip Advisor!!! Don't waste your time going there!!!! I bought an experience worth more than 630 reais for a couple, which entitled me to 4 dishes, drinks (read plural) and dessert. I got there, they just gave me a glass of wine, Alfredo pasta and a dessert. I complained because I had made a reservation through Trip Advisor with all the description of the experience and the manager made a ridiculous attempt to justify the error, but he put the blame on Trip Advisor, saying that they hadn't sold that experience for a long time and that there was no such thing. 4-course alternative and everything else that Trip Advisor listed. I felt embarrassed, deceived. Pasta Alfredo with a glass of wine and a dessert would never cost 630 reais!!!!! This is an affront to tourists! I left there upset. Wouldn't go back!!!!!! Trip Advisor needs to be more cautious and Restaurante Alfredo didn't hold up its quality, anyway... don't waste your precious time in Europe going there
Experiencia divertida, recomendable para compartir con familia y amigos.. todo el personal muy atento y el chef y sus acompañantes.. de 10!
Chef Massimiliano Sepe took possession of Alfredo's legendary cuisine and immediately revolutionized the winter menu, with pre-eminence to the dishes of the historical Roman tradition, Obviously untouchable the exceptional "fettuccine Alfredo" of world fame. An added value to this excellent restaurant, of which we are obviously fond! Bravo!!!
We joined the pasta cooking class. Cooking is a bit misleading, because you learn to make and cut pasta dough in different types. Then enjoyed the tasting menu with of course the famous Fettuccine. Was very nice and very tasty.
Don't go to this place without ordering the famous Fettucine Alfredo! A place of Rome, of a lifetime. Inevitably it has become a bit touristic but very good Mood and Perfect Service.
