This was a good tour, short and sweet, but full of information. Doing this to her enabled us to do the underground, which was sold out otherwise and we wouldn’t have been able to do it. It doesn’t include entry to the Trevi fountain, that’s a separate two euro fee

Go beyond its captivating beauty and discover all the details that most tourists miss. Learn about its fascinating history and discover the mythological figures that take shape gracefully out of the raw stone below. Feel and hear the power of water, and perceive the message of this iconic masterpiece exactly as intended by its designer. Take a moment to admire the fusion of beauty and genius. Please note: Access to the Trevi Fountain restricted basin area (€2 fee) is not included. The guide will lead you to an excellent viewing point at the public piazza level.
Then immerse into the newly uncovered archeological site 9 meters below the ground. Find the only functioning ancient aqueduct which still supplies water to the fountain above, and visit the remains of an imperial Domus. Travel back in time and touch the millenary stratification beneath the streets of Rome.

All 8 of us were extremely disappointed with the express tour of Trevi fountain and underground. We all found the tour to be very boring based on the guide that we had. Book directly through the underground site for 3 euros a person instead of $60 CAD person. We booked 3 other tours on this trip through Viator that were excellent, unfortunately that was not the case with this tour.
Very interesting tour for those who want a more than just to look at the Fountain. It's another look at ancient room and how they lived and how they built things that have lasted. At the risk of making a bad joke, this is definitely a place for historical Trevia types. Our guide gave an excellent presentation with a ton of historical information.
It’s very interesting and informative to see the layers of history that exist in a small area underneath the Trevi Fountain
The tour was short but very educational. The guide was very nice and explained all the details with photos.
Not at all what we were expecting and a disappointment. The write up gives you the impression that you would see the underground workings of the Trevi and it is nothing like that. We could have done an audiobook tour of this in the same or less amount of time. Don't waste your money.
Poor advertisement and description as the ticket does not include the Trevi Fountain at all ! Deeply disappointing and misleading
It wasn’t what we expected. Thought we were going underground to see how the Trevi Fountain worked. The guide was very informative though.
It was brilliant getting to see the underside of Rome, and the guide was so knowledgeable and friendly
Underground Rome was awesome but was unable to get close to fountain! The tour guide told us we had to get another ticket to get closer to fountain so that was a disappointment.
Unfortunately the tour was less than what we’d hoped for. Our tour guide wasn’t all that enthusiastic which was disappointing given the cool context of the tour. We visited the underground via the museum called Vicus Carparius which is €4 to visit and although would have been self-guided feels like it would have offered more information than what we got. Our 7 year old wasn’t engaged at all which wasn’t a huge expectation but for a tour labeled good for kids it should have been a bit more lively.
Short and sweet however it did not include entry into the Trevi fountain foreshore. Guide was very knowledgeable
A great, informative experience. Our guide was very knowledgeable. We met at the prearranged location and promptly went underground. The area was very busy with other tours, but everything was carried out professionally. Would recommend
Great tour! Not too long either which was nice. Tour guide was informative. Highly recommend to anyone
Very informative but not too long! Long enough to appreciate the fountain and its ancient water supply origins and function.
Christina was incredible and very knowledgeable. She offered Rome a perfect representation of a tour guide! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️rating for her.
Full group, was probably too big of a group for the underground. Informative and knowledgeable, I wish the Trevi portion included the lower section near the basin (it did not). Our guide was nice.
The Guide was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. She did well. The information and underground ruins were amazing. But whomever manages this site allowed too many other tour groups in at the same time. Awfully crowded in a already tight space. But still worth the tour.
My husband and I first visit to Italy( my parents were from Naples) If you don't mind alot of tourists, smokers, crazy drivers, rarely any stop lights( cross at your own risk) Unfortunately, we never found an inexpensive Ma and Pa place to eat good food. For bfast we ate tangerines and yogurt. And when we were hungry we would buy arrincini( 3 eros each) once or twice per day. Take a long walk for ice cream. There's alot of walking, wear comfortable shoes as many places have rocks, cement blocks for walking. ( cracked and move)We dealt with viator for skip the line Colosseum, we were 1 hr early, but all the tour groups kept telling us to get in the line( after loosing our spot at beginning) we did Colosseum and Palentine Hill alone. We didn't have any commentary to learn history. We were both unhappy. I had a confrontation with a street vender, he's hoping that a tourist will step on his " art" then get stuck to pay for it. Alot of street beggers, just lying infront where you're walking so be careful. I don't know people live there with all the tourists.
We arrived at the Trevi Fountain ahead of the scheduled meeting time. I notified the tour guide immediately to let her know we were there, in which she didn't respond. She finally got in touch with us at the last minute and advised the meeting location was changed. Poor communication to start off. The fountain was extremely crowded, we took a tour of the underground aquaduct system, it was crowded and a very boring tour. We didn't go close to the fountain due to the crowds, and you needed to pay 2 euros to enter the base of the fountain which was also very crowded. This tour is not worth the money, If you want to go see the fountain, then go first thing in the morning before it gets very crowded!
Guide was knowledgeable. Good way to see the underground history of the fountain. Less than an hour so it was the right amount of time.
Tour guide was very informative and gave lots of information. Tour was an easy strolll. Would recommend.
This was a wonderful way to start our Rome trip. It wasn’t too long, but it was very informative about the aqueducts and Trevi fountain. Our tour guide was lovely. She was very patient and very i n
Great tour - our guide was knowledgeable and kept us together, gave us a lot of historical and interesting information. Timely tour - highly recommend!
The underground tour was cancelled. Walked us around to look at free things that I’d already seen the day before. Didn’t contact us to tell us the main features of the tour wasn’t happening prior to turning up. Very disappointed.
Skip the lines and see the underground. It was a fun tour that provided a lot of information and allowed a unique look at the water system that feeds the Trevi Fountain. I didn’t realize we didn’t get to go to the fountain lower level. That was a bummer.
Very good, guide very knowledgeable and fun
While it was very cool, I had a hard time listening to the tour guide and understanding him. This tour is all history based with no chances for pictures (of yourself/group).
Our guide was fantastic. The underground tour is not under the fountain but still interesting.
This was a great tour of Rome underground. You do not actually go under Trevi Fountain but you do go under the underground near Trevi Fountain. It is amazing to see the different decades of building.
It got plenty warm once we went underground, but the history was worth it. It was very cool to see the layers of history in the rubble.
Review If you are expecting to see the aqueduct behind and under the Trevi Fountain you will be disappointed. The underground refers to ruins of a Roman apartment block and a water cistern which is surrounded by a walkway and located 2 or 3 minutes away. It was interesting but express means just that, we were in and out in 20 minutes at best and didn’t get to see the upper walkway though it was probably just a different view of the same ruin. The Trevi part was an explanation of the statues, and who they portrayed on the different levels. That was interesting however after about 5 minutes the headsets were collected and the guide was off, leaving us thinking “is that it?”. For us it was overpriced and disappointing - we could have self guided ourselves at a fraction of the price and spent an extra 5 minutes underground (the tour is stated to be 40 minutes so could have been covered). If you understand what you will see and that express means just that, you will be fine, it just wasn’t for us unfortunately.
Interesting history told in an engaging way that held the attention of the whole group, even our teenage son.
Very interesting. Many artifacts. Led through the crowds to see the spot of the original Trevi fountain
The guide was very informative of the history of the Trevi Fountain. He gave a description of each level of the underground and the artifacts found. Also described the statues surrounding the Trevi Fountain
Very interesting and informative. Tour guide was well informed and interesting. Able to answer all questions regarding tour.
Easy to get to. The guide was very informative. It was very close to Trevi Fountain itself so easy for people to go to even it they have difficulty walking.
Very interesting. Learned a lot in a short period of time. Excellent tour guide. I enjoyed being part of a smaller group experience
This was a nice surprise! There is so much more to the Trevi Fountain than just the fountain. It was my husband’s second favorite thing to see in Rome.
Amazing site and very interesting but the tour is only for a very short time and only takes you underground
Valerio was great! Lots of interesting information. Be prepared to do lots of walking and a lot of learning,
Missed the tour bc of a change in flights and for the run around about a make up or partial refund. Both were never offered.
It was nice to have a guided tour of the underground. We had a small group and a great guide. I would recommend it highly!
We were quite disappointed in the tour. As many others were, we felt misled by the title and truly believed that we would be seeing Trevi fountain included. Ok we went afterwards but still Marko was our guide, started by telling us more than once how boring this tour was. Partly tongue in cheek but hey it was a bit. He spent some time talking about the fountain but we weren't even close enough to take a decent picture. He spent time talking about the old church. Then he walked us to a gelato shop. Then we finally went to the museum, yep it's just a museum. 3 euros entry or 5 with an audio guide. We wouldn't have spent 15 minutes in there . What an overpriced tour... Lesson learnt ...
Franchesca did great as our tour guide. My 12-year old son says the Trevi Tour is his favorite of all the Roman tours we did in the last 3 days.
Fantastic tour and guide just steps from the Trevi fountain. Seeing layers of Rome right under the street was amazing. Very cool!
The experience was very educational. The guide did a great job explaining the history of the Trevi fountain and the aqueducts.
Frederica was a great guide, very knowledgeable and made such a unique tour interesting. On our walk post tour past piazza navonna, piazza barbarini we were able to link what we had learnt from Frederica in the tour. It was a surprisingly interesting tour!
It was very interesting and informative, our guide was excellent he also added a lot of life into the tour
We had a wonderful & very knowledgeable tour guide! She was great! It was disappointing to find out at the end that this tour did not allow any express access to the Trevi fountain. I found that misleading. We were told that we would have to stand in line with everyone else at the end of our underground tour.
