Quick entry but location given matched somewhere completely different on map and tried contacting the tour but didn’t get a response until later the same day, there is a dress code which isn’t mentioned until you get there which results in buying off the street scammers

We enjoyed the Skip The Line tickets. Pick up and entry instructions were clear, and we could continue through the galleries and Sistine Chapel at our own pace.
Marco was an unbelievable guide full of knowledge
Marco is an amazing guide! I highly recommend him.
Lots and lots to explore so arrive fuelled with energy! I personally skipped ahead to the Sistine chapel as it was just so busy it was impossible to enjoy lots of the other museum areas. I do wish my ticket had included access to the outside areas. Paid an extra €8 for an audio guide which was really useful in the Sistine chapel. I am glad I went but it was almost unbearably busy (even though I booked the 8.30am entry slot). Was cool to send some post from the Vatican post office at the end of the tour!
Great tickets that allowed us to jump the very long queue. Well organised with great communication. Highly recommended, thank you!
Did the Vatican Museum, Sistine with Lucy. She brought things to life with an incredibly informative tour. The whole experience is incredible and a great way to start my time in Rome.
We choose not to have a tour guide. This ticket was great. They told us exactly where to go and how to get in. Went very smoothly. We spent over 3 hours between the Vatican and Chappel.
It was very unorganized and no one really told us we had to get tickets first then skip the line. We thought when we bought our tickets online those were the ones we were to use. Thank you to the nice gentlemen in security who explained because that is the only way we figured it out. Once we got to the place to receive tickets again very unorganized. They gave us a sticker and told us to sit down and wait. Once we asked someone finally said oh ok here are your tickets and look for line 3. So much for skipping the line. It was so long!!! We did get in but had to do a rush tour because we had scheduled another tour. If it would have started on time we would have had more time to enjoy.
This tour was truly beautiful. It is a tour that, in my most humble opinion, anyone, Catholic or not, should go on at least once in their lifetime.
The guy giving out the voucher gave clear instructions to use entry 3. But the others in my group showed their voucher to an attendant by the gate and asked where they should go. He looked at it and sent them to the back of the line. I showed him mine and he said go to the back of the line. I watched the others in my group go to the back of line but then I saw gate 3 had no line. I walked right into the place skipping the line.
Si please booking process, the guide Andriy was very informative and knowledgeable of history, local and broader geography, and interactive with the group.
Yesterday we had the worst guided tour in our life at the Vatican museums. The guide was in flip flop, was barely talking English, he was talking to himself anyway, was not engaging at all, and the all thing was rushing from one room to another. Basically it would have been much better to go on our own without any so called 'tours'. Awful.
Disappointed in how this worked as at first my booked appointment had to be changed and the suggested new time was at 8.45am which I again changed as this was too early based on where our hotel was. We arrived at the place on the voucher not realising this was not the place on the text we received but as we arrived early we did get the time to get to the new meeting point. My wife overheard someone saying you need to cover your shoulders in the Sistine Chapel, she checked with the lady on the counter and was then told to go outside and see one of the staff who would take her to a shop to buy a length of material for €10! As a group we were told where to go to enter the museum which was a 10 minute walk from the office we followed each other like sheep not really knowing where we were going. The next part was nothing to do with the tour operator more the organisation on the Vatican. What an absolute shambles as we were told to and stand at the end of a 200 metre queue despite being at the time of our ticket but a group of three of us decided against it to argue with a member of staff who ushered is in. The trip round the museum, which was nessesary as the Sistine Chapel was at the end, was long and hot as there were far too many people inside as you were unable to stop to take pictures or see some of the items due to being stuck in the movement of people. After over an hour we got the the Sistine Chapel and was told you could not take any pictures, I was stopped taking a sneaky video. Overall it was not an enjoyable experience and I came away realising just how rich the church was with all the unreligious items on show for the paying public to see before they got the the Chapel and the three gift shops you had to go through before the exit.
The Vatican and Sistine Chapel are beautiful! My complaint is that when selecting the package for my Wife and 5yo son I selected 2 adults and 1 Infant 0-5yo. When the price came back they charged me $89+ dollars for the infant 0-5. I did not know until we met with the tour group that children 0-5 were supposed to be free and to call Viator and ask for a refund. I called Viator and explained the situation and what steps I took to book the tour. Even after sending them proof of age for my son they still refused to refund or credit the funds after charging me $89+ for a child that was supposed to be free. We have enjoyed using Tripadvisor in the past and it is very unfortunate that we will have to use Expedia more often now.
It was a tiny bit confusing with the tour company changing what we were told about how and where the tour would start. Other than that, everything went perfectly and we really enjoyed seeing everything in the Vatican. I was surprised to see so much Egyptian stuff at the beginning of the museum, which you can't skip.
I was charged $229.76 to skip the line for 3 people. When I looked at our vouchers, the actual cost to enter the museum was 25 euros. They added 50 something euros per person for their service charge? We were not accompanied to the museum. All they did was give verbal instructions to avoid the longer queue and go to the other side. Was that worth $50 dollars extra? I don’t think so!
It’s a crazy time of year to tour the Vatican, but the extra service and cost to skip the line was worth it! Definitely recommend doing this. If I ever go to the Vatican again it will be off season.
It was a once in a lifetime experience. Too crowded and lost interest within a few minutes after I was inside. This is just me l, some people seemed to have had a great time.
So bad. So expensive. We did an "english" tour with a guide whose accent and cadence was unintelligible. She charged ahead of group paying no attention to group's needs and it was so so so expensive. €230 for two and she gave us a headache. Total rip off..seriously ruined our experience of what we wanted to be a seminal time
It goes without saying, that anyone visiting Rome must visit the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel, but the other must do is buy your ticket beforehand. We bought the full ticket and Audio Guide on line in UK beforehand. There were already queues of tourists when we arrived even for our early booked time of 09:30. We went straight to the head of the lines and waited briefly before being escorted to the start and the security gate- don't take a big bag and ensure you dress appropriately (to enter the chapel). What a fantastic place to visit- we stayed about 5 hours and could have stayed all day, but we had other things planned. The route was fairly easy to follow, although it was so easy to get distracted and wander. The gardens are also lovely to walk through and there is a cafe/bar in the gardens although you may need to queue. The museums were fascinating; my own favourite was the Galleria delle Carte Geographiche, but there is so much to take in. It starts to get rather packed as everyone heads towards the The Sistine Chapel. Unfortunately, some folk forget that they are entering a Chapel and continue to 'jabber' on but they get reminders from the staff to be quiet and show some respect. If and when I visit Rome again, I would definitely revisit, as there is so much to see and take in.
It was a wonderful experience just as stated. My friend and I decided to do this the night before. It worked out amazingly.
Hi , we had Nunzia Marzzitelll as our guide , thank you for a great time and you were right - about the steps up to the dome - but worth it
Marco was an amazing guide! I love the tour, so explanatory and also very helpful!! Aunque el tour fue en Español, fue muy conciso y facilísimo
Lorenzo was our guide and he was sooo knowledgeable about everything. It was a little over 3 hours but time just flew by because it was so informative, interesting and oh so beautiful!
It was a very interesting tour and our tour guide Marco was excellent. The Vatican museum was breathtaking and the sculptures were amazing
Marco, our tourguide, is amazing. He’s very knowledgeable about the art history. It was a extensive tour. Highly recommend!
Excellent guide. Knowledgeable, friendly and patient with our large group. Took us through a great route and paced thr tour for older members of our group.
Maria Antonieta is the best guide you can ask for, she is funny, knows a bunch of the museum history and gets you always to the best spots! Si su tour es en español ojalá tengan la suerte de tenerla, sin duda volvería a tomar un tour con María Antonieta!!
The history and sights of the Vatican were fantastic and skip the line worked like a dream. Would use this service again
Hard to find the office, it moved. Waited quite a while to enter and there were no lines to skip. Required to walk the entire Vatican museum and no entrance to St Peter’s Basilica
The tour meeting place was in this basement with hundreds of people. Could not hear when you were called because of traffic. So many people on sidewalk hard to stay close to flag that you could barely see.
The only good part about this was that we were able to take an interior passage from Sistine chapel to basilica. Otherwise the entire experience was worse then a kettle farm. The entire venue (Vatican museum and Sistine chapel) was worse the shoulder to shoulder we were under people’s arm pits and kids were in peoples bums. It was so rushed. I will not recommend this. Beautiful please though. However tour guides and Vatican need to figure out a way to work together and create a better experience for visitors. It was literally an ocean of people getting through at the same time everywhere.
I cancelled three tours and received confirmation that these would be refunded. One of the tours they cancelled because we were the only two signed up. I’ve sent my confirmation numbers and been promised this would be responses to ASAP and I’m still waiting for the refund. I’m so disappointed with their lack of response and refunds! Never again! Save your money!
We booked Enjoy Rome skip the line for the Vatican Museum through Get Your Guide for 10 am. We were told to collect our ticket the morning of the event and to be sure to be there 25 minutes early. We arrived early, stood in a long line while employees up-sold tours and add ons those ahead of us. We were given a sticker and told to wait outside. 10 came and went and finally, at 10:45, they walked us over to the museum. We stood around without explanation for another 15 minutes until we were finally given our ticket and could enter the museum. By this time the museum was packed. The idea was to arrive at 10 - not at 11:15. Do yourself a favor and book through another vendor.
I booked my skip the line tickets with head out.com a month prior. When were arrived at their pickup site I was told that my name was not on their list. I called headouts number but did not get an answer. When I went on line and entered my booking number it said tickets cancelled with no reason. It said refund processed but I have not received the refund. HEADOUT.COM IS A SCAM. Don’t book through them
The Sistine Chapel was beautiful but the company was very unorganized getting to the Vacatican Museums. It was basically herding cattle to get there and once we were on our own to roam the museums it’s was simply frustrating on how chaotic the museums with all the tours and individuals trying to enjoy the museums on their own time. The skip the line helped get us through the door into the museums but didn’t help much once we were inside . The lines were still very long .
this felt like a hoax. we waited forever our our group to assemble, then waited for our guide to get our ticket. We paid double the amount of ticket, for a slow experience just to get into the museums. maybe things would have been different on a more popular day for the museums, but for us, it was more like...pay double to wait in a slow line, just in a different place.
Spent an interesting day with Fjord Line on a return trip from Haines to Juneau. Capt Ketch and deck hand Hannah were knowledgable and helpful. Stopped to watch gill-net salmon fishers, Humpback whales and Dall's porpoise, while traveling past spectacular waterfalls and glaciers. The bus driver in Juneau was equally informative, plus we took his advice and enjoyed our lunch at The Hanger. On the return trip, stopped near Elred Rock Lighthouse and a sea lion rookery for photos. The seafood chowder served on the return trip was tasty and welcome. A great day spent on the water viewing lush forests covering vast glacier-topped mountain ranges, while spotting eagles, waterfowl and marine life.
During a several week trip that included many tours across Italy, this was easily the worst tour we experienced. We booked the skip the line tour for the Vatican, Sistine Chapel and Basilica. The tour was supposed to begin at 11am and we were told in the instructions to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to start time. As we were getting down from our taxi at 10:30am, we received a text message that there was no tour guide and that our tour had been unilaterally moved to another day - another day that didn’t work for us. We proceeded to go down into the Enjoy Rome tour office and wait in line with the 50 other people who were having an issue with their tours. We eventually worked out that this was an IT error on their part and that our tour would proceed as planned, but 30 minutes late. The tour did in fact begin at 12pm, but now the guide informed us that we wouldn’t be able to proceed on the Sistine Chapel portion (we couldn’t get a real reason why and were just told that the museum was closed due to a special papal visit). So after seeing the Basilica (1 hour later than we had expected in the searing Roman heat) we proceeded back to the ticket office to figure out what was really going on. Again they tried to get us to come another day saying that all the other tours were booked. We finally just told them to refund out money since they couldn’t provide the tour. Upon our insistence that we would call our credit card to have the funds refunded to us, they miraculously found us another Sistine chapel tour at 4pm that day. Upon entry into the Vatican museums I enquirer at the security desk why the museum and chapel was closed in the morning - several security guards stated that while the museums can close for a special visit, that certainly wasn’t the case that morning as all those officials were there the whole day. In other words, the tour operator lied to our face. What was supposed to be a 3 hour tour, ended up being an almost 8 hour affair (we were there from 10:30am to 6:30pm). The Enjoy Rome office was utter chaos with other customers complaining to an uncaring Enjoy Rome staff. The tours themselves were ok, but not really that informative or interesting. Also the goal seems to be to maximize the amount of money that can be extracted from unsuspecting tourists and the crowds are bewildering. It an IKEA like maze guiding you to spend your money. It’s simply too crowded and noisy to see anything in peace. The whole chaos with Enjoy Rome just really ruined the whole experience for us and we would never use them again.
This was an excellent tour which I would highly recommend! The tour guide was very informative and gave a brief description of the key elements within the Vatican and Sistine Chapel. I don’t think our experience would be nearly as good if we went without a guide. The only reason I left out 1 star is because I wish we had more time within the tour to linger and look at artwork for a longer amount of time. There’s so much to take in, it felt a little rushed. This experience is truly a treasure within Italy.
Laura Antonucci was a fantastic & helpful tour guide! Laura kept a great attitude throughout the entire tour. It was a blessing and wonderful experience!
They were unorganized, took an hour to go inside because of the company. They make us wait after the time meeting and on line for over a 25 minutes
We are thankful we were able to skip the line, but the service was not as expected. We arrived exactly on time and waited 39 minutes as we and others were being told we were late for our appointment. There was a party of 10, yet every time they announced they could take a group it was always limited to 6. I’m not sure I would consider using the service again.
This was just fantastic.Being able to just go straight in without queuing was great. The staff were efficient and friendly. I booked this online well before I traveled and had no problems. I also didn't want a tour so it was exactly perfect for me.
We purchases skip the line tickets because all the tours were sold out. Found the ticket place easily and were offered an upgrade to a guided tour. It worked out great. Marco was a good guide
We enjoyed touring at our own pace and skipping the line helped to enter the museum without a wait for entry. The company seemed to be a bit disorganized but everything worked out.
Enjoy the Vatikanen museet… Skip the line ticket the best way! All worked 100% ! Well recomanded////
I wouldn’t book if I were you! You have to go to a ticket office to redeem the tickets and be taken into the museums. We arrived early to the tour where we weren’t even greeted, we were told “too early, come back later”. We asked if there was any possibility we could go in earlier as it wasn’t a guided tour. We was told no. The man at the counter tried to sell us a guided tour for €30 euros more (each) which we didn’t want to do. He said the only way he’d get us in early would be a guided tour. When sat waiting another couple came in who were also early. He told them “I’ll try get you in early, don’t worry” whilst we had been sat there as we were told there was nothing he can do. The whole experience made us feel like he was trying to just sell us the more expensive tickets and it felt as though he tried to take advantage of us. The ticket office was extremely uncomfortable. Would definitely not book again.
Perfect experience. Easy collecrion of ticets and smooth entrance to the museum. Recommended. Dont heisitate to book with Viator
