Over two hours, your guide or audioguide leads you through Bernini's breathtaking marble masterpieces — Apollo and Daphne, Proserpina and David — Canova's stunning Pauline Bonaparte, Caravaggio's dramatic paintings, and Renaissance treasures by Raphael and Titian in the upstairs Pinacoteca.
Your tour ends at the edge of Villa Borghese, the vast green park surrounding the gallery — the perfect place to relax and take in the views after your visit.

The Bernini statues were incredible! Lucy, our tour guide managed to keep us away from other groups, which made it feel more like we had the rooms to ourselves. She was very informative and allowed us to just enjoy the pieces.
Very interesting. Thank you. Gracie mille.
interesting tour, the guide explained well !
The guide was extremely knowledgeable but her accent was so strong I couldn’t really follow what she was saying apart from the odd word. I didn’t want to become an art expert I just wanted an enjoyable experience but I didn’t quite get that.
Our guide, Nuncia, was very knowledgeable and engaging. Excellent tour overall!
A lovely fire hydrant of information and beauty. Having ten times as much time and I still wouldn’t see it all. Lovely!
everything was amazing, guide was very informative and i learnt a lot of new things from it. excursion begun on time, everything was well-organised and perfect.
QR code wouldn’t send to my phone without messaging support for ~30 minutes. The issue isn’t solely this vendor but more broadly the style of vendor. These “tour operators” buy up all available advance tickets and then sell them at an egregious markup. Whole thing feels kind of disgusting. I’m glad I got my ticket ultimately but these people are slimy and exploiting a market inefficiency
Elizabeth is very knowledgeable and gentle, I loved how she shared all the stories with just the right level of detail. A great sense of humour too. Strongly recommend.
Overall positive - our guide was easy to meet and was right on time to pick up the tickets. The self guided audio guide was a bit difficult to use and it took a long time to download. It was somewhat confusing to follow at first. The audio commentary was good.
The Gallery is stunning, and we enjoyed the experience very much. The meeting point, ticket redemption, software download, timed entry, and crowd control all went smoothly. (We did the self-guided audio tour). Our only issue is that we selected the 5:45pm time slot, not knowing the museum closed at 7 pm. We were disappointed since reviews recommend 2.5 hours to tour the gallery, and we believed this is what we would have. We accept responsibility for this oversight, but still feel the time constraints should have been made more clear at the time of purchase.
This was the best tour we had in Rome. Ilaria was knowledgeable, friendly, professional. The tour was the perfect pace for the museum. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Rome. Because the museum has deigned 2 hour time slots, it was not crowded and allo e for an more intimate experience.
Travelers should be told if certain areas / rooms / etc are off limits… in advance… and should receive a discount. Also, better instruction and verification that the audio works, ours did not
Elizabeth was a fantastic tour guide! She moved us through the exhibits with expertise and extensive knowledge of all the most important pieces with abundant detail. 2 hours flew by and I wished we had more.
Very experienced guide with a lot of knowledge. Time of two hoirs is too short for this elaborate museum. Unfortunately, the wrong address was in the information for the start but we were informed on time of the other meeting point
Pick up ticket in time. Detail explanation on paintings and sculptures. Good for a trip to such a wonderful gallery
Easy and very detailed guide, Marco has deep knowledge of the pieces at the Borghese Gallery, it wouldn’t be the same without him
Elizabeth was a great guide for us!
Elizabeth was great and knowledgable Very interesting tour. We are glad we had this experience!
Super simple way to enter the gallery with ease. Was easy to find the guide in front of the building, provided us with the audio guide and we could take our time through the museum. We enjoyed that it was self guided, but supported by some fantastic audio information. Would definitely recommend!
i cannot bare being exposed to the sun for more then like 20 minutes and my numer 1 worry was that i had to wait in line under the burning sun for more then that. i was happy to discover that here they actually treat their customers with care, i did not get burnt or dizzy or anything like that couse the workers were really helpful and actually took care of my concerns
it was really nice having the operators talking to you and making sure you were fine and not getting sun burnt or anything while waiting for the line, really nice and kind people
Villa borghese itself is magnificent however this tour is misleading as we thought we would be in a small guided tour not just given a QR code to download a audio file and given a paper ticket. It should be explicitly stated you bring air pods The and book directly with Villa Borghese than a tour like this
No instructions about where to meet and don’t carry any drinks in view. You meet outside away from the entrance. Looking for a flag no one told us about. However extremely interesting and worth a visit.
The Borghese is incredible. Strongly recommend you book a guide. There is so much to see, a guide will enhance your experience.
No audio provided during the entire visit tour as we paid for it! The QR code in the pop guide app never downloads
We had Elizabeth for our tour guide. She facilitated a nice experience with fun and fascinating historical context. She made sure to engage with the group by asking our interpretations of the fantastic art.
It was a really nice experience with Elizabeth. She really knows about art and history. Very recommended!
our guide Marco is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. only that i can only understand about 1/6 of the tour because of his accent😅
Wonderful time with our guide Marco!
Great visit with good price. It is not always easy to get last-minute tickets to the museum but Viator made it easy!
The tour was easy to book. We were very surprised that Galleria Borghese offered evening tours. It was much better time to visit, less crowded and less hot. We really enjoyed the tour and impressive artworks in Galleria.
Our guide ignited everyone's interest in the renaissance and baroque and the major artists of the time. Our appreciation went deeper. It was awesome!
Very deep emotional and historical informations
The guide was so passioante about his job, he explained every detail possible and answered our questions.
Wonderful guide with passion and detail.
Was good, she is so Attentive!
Great guide who really explained everything so well and was so knowledgeable.
My partner and I visited Galleria Borghese recently and had a wonderful time. Booking ahead is a must, but it meant there was absolutely no line when we arrived. The art collection is incredible especially the Bernini statues. Plus, the audio guide was included right in our booking, which gave great context to everything we saw. Perfect museum date for a couple!
We had an excellent guided tour of the Galleria Borghese. Our guide was knowledgeable, engaging, and brought the history and artwork to life with fascinating stories and insights. The explanations of Bernini's sculptures and Caravaggio's paintings made us appreciate the masterpieces on a much deeper level. The tour was well-paced, informative, and never felt rushed, with plenty of time to admire the highlights. I highly recommend taking a guided tour—it truly enhances the experience and makes this incredible museum even more memorable.
Amazing experience at Borghese Gallery! The service was excellent, and our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and engaging. The tour was well organized, and the explanations made the visit even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!
Visiting the Galleria Borghese was one of the highlights of my trip to Rome. The museum is absolutely stunning, with an incredible collection of masterpieces by Bernini, Caravaggio, and Raphael. The sculptures are breathtaking, especially Bernini’s works, which look almost alive. The gallery is well organized, and the limited number of visitors makes it possible to enjoy the art without feeling overcrowded.
One of my favorite museums in Rome! The collection is amazing, and the rooms are just as beautiful as the artwork. Our guide was knowledgeable, engaging, and shared lots of interesting stories that made the visit even more enjoyable. The timed entry meant it never felt too crowded, and there was plenty of time to take everything in. Definitely worth a visit.
Loved the Borghese Gallery itself. We were offered a last minute free upgrade with a guide that we accepted. However, it would have been better to have gone through this beautiful gallery on our own. Highly recommend the experience, but with just the audio.
We booked a guide tour which was pricey and arrived to the location and no one was there. Instructions said to look for tour guide with red flag and they were not there. I called customer service and they said they were going to to contact the person which they did and they started sending me tickets through WhatsApp. I paid for a guide and they basically told me to just go in. I requested a refund since it is not what I paid for and they said they need approval from the company to receive money back! I still have not heard from them nor have I received a refund
Hello, I recently joined the Borghese Gallery tour today 16/06/2026 at 17:00 and had a fantastic experience! The guide was truly exceptional and made the visit memorable. I would like to give a 5-star review and share my gratitude. If possible, please let the guide know how much I appreciated their work. Thank you!
Great tour and very informative. Learned a lot
This is just a ticket with a QR code to scan for an audio guide. Make sure you scan the code before entering the museum since cell service is poor inside the museum. Bring your own headphones. This audio guide is not good. Several of the pieces they talked about were not on display in the museum. The audio guide only spoke about a few pieces. Try to get your audio guide from the museum and not from this service. I learned more by listening to other in-person guides.
I really like Bernini's work. It is a vibrant piece.
