Shore Excursion To Rome From Civitavecchia Port

A great way to see multiple sites and grab lunch in Rome if you are on a cruise! The van was clean and comfortable and Constantino was professional and accommodating.

This is long tour day, but totally worth it. Our driver was very knowledgeable and freindly. For a first trip to Rome with limited time (cruise ship) it lets you visit all the hot spots around Rome. Would highly recommend.

Our guide was able to get us to EVERYTHING! Minimal walking in the heat was huge, especially with my elderly mom. So grateful we chose this excursion. A++++

We spent the day with Paolo and he was lovely! He took us around to all of the signs in Rome and shared some wonderful information and history with us. He brought us to a great spot for lunch with some of the best pasta I’ve ever eaten in my life.

Pickup from port was on time and our driver Max was good at his job. Smooth ride and knowledgeable on the stops that we made.

Very great trip. Covered most of the main sites in Rome. It was a wonderful view of the country. The driver was very timely and the vehicle was clean and comfortable

Poalo was very friendly and helpful. He speaks 4 languages very well and gave us tips on when to try and go into the historic landmarks we visited within the time constraints. We only had 45 minutes per the church and colosseum and 1/2 hour at the outdoor sites and extremely long lines made going inside unattainable. He was a good driver and got us very close to the attractions. If you want to see a lot of great spots in a little time- this is for you!

Paolo was a spectacular tour guide he took us through all the historical sites in Rome. We even got to see the Pope. He took us through every nook and cranny and took us to a fantastic restaurant. Was perfect for our day. His vehicle was clean and very spacious Paolo really knew how to find every place With ease. Paulo was one of the best tour guys we’ve ever had. Thank you Paulo for making Rome magical for us.

Simple but nice tour. Perfect tour if you want to explore on your own. Tour guide was great and very informational. The sites visited were very historical and we spent just enough time at each. Very good priced and comes highly recommended.

A horrible experience, it was just a cab driver taking us around to different places, the driver will drop us off several blocks away from the excursion site and will point us where to walk too , no explanation how to get into site , we didn’t speak Italian , we were supposed to see many sites we only saw 4 sites that was listed , the driver was driving like a mad man driving over 140k per hour , I paid over $1200 for the day , not what we expected

The tour itself was enjoyable, and we really liked the flexibility of the hop-on/hop-off format and liked being about to hit all the top tourist spots. However, we found ourselves wishing for more time at some stops and less at others. Unfortunately, our experience got off to a rough start when our driver was delayed at the cruise port — apparently, he had lost his access privileges and was stopped by security. There was no communication with us about what was going on as we just sat in the van while he was being questioned by security. This held us up for about 45 minutes, which cut into our time later on. As a result, we only had 45 minutes at St. Peter's Basilica. We made it right to the door before having to turn back, which was really disappointing since we didn’t get to go inside. Without that delay, we likely would’ve had enough time to experience it properly, even an extra 15 minutes would have been ideal.

A driver only , not tour guide driver showed us main attractions , ha lunch and did some designer shopping .

This was a good deal for us, we got picked up at ship port, traveled to Rome then taken to most of important historic sites with little walking and plenty of time to view each and finally were delivered to our Rome hotel with our suitcases. Paulo was considerate, friendly and a good driver, he gave us a great tour and transfer. Thanks Paulo!

Taking in the sights of Rome with Mattia in the driver's seat is the way to go! He got us to our sights, let us wander on our own and got us to and from our cruise shop on time! Wish we only had more time to explore!

The driver was nice, but the tour felt extremely rushed (30-15 minutes at each stop). It’s purely a hop on and hop off type of shuttle but not at your own leisure. No narration or guide on the places we were seeing.

Good tour to see all the major sights in Rome. Group of 8 was perfect and driver/guide excellent. A little chaotic at first with a change of drivers at port entrance and a delay. Our driver rearranged the order of sightseeing because of political and religious events in the city. He made sure we saw everything and got us back to our ship in good time.

Enjoyed this shared tour with 2 other couples, we were able to see the highlights of Rome. Our driver navigated through the crowds getting us closer to the attractions than we would have if on a tour bus.

Great way to see Rome in a day. Paulo was a great driver. He took great routes thru the city of rome.

First and foremost, our tour guide was 30 minutes late, I had to call Viator to find out what was going on. When the tour guide finally arrived, he half heartily held up a sign with our names on it, l and never apologize for his tardiness. Then once in the tour van, there was a argument between two separate families on how the information in Rome will be given regularly: whether in the language of English or Russian and that continued pretty much the entire tour and the tour guide didn't say anything but just let it happen. There was so many other different things.However , just to conclude , this tour was the waste of my time and money.

Marcello our guide was knowledgeable, friendly and kept us all on time to enable us to see all the fantastic sights of Rome.

Marcello was our driver and guide and he was great. Good sense of humour and very patient with our questions. His English was very good. This tour is what we call a “high speed pass” around Rome - you get a few minutes at most of the sites and then you’re off to the next. We used it as an introduction to Rome. We did stop for lunch which was great - nice to have a break and the food was good.

The iternery was great. Our driver/ guide,Marchello was rude and a poor representive of your company. He said we were late We were not and he told us he did not like Rome . His mood was up and down.He made unkind statements to my sistsr and myself. Thank you Karen Hull

This tour was ok for transportation to Rome from the cruise port and back. Although we stopped for free time at a few locations I would have liked to have a stop at the Circus Maximus.

Driver arrived exactly on time, collected further passengers from two other pick up points and proceeded onwards to Rome. Unfortunately for him it transpired that the Rome Marathon was taking place, making his job negotiating city centre well nigh impossible but he did extremely well getting us as close as possible to the attractions. For extra charge he took us onwards to our required drop off. Alas he gave us virtually no commentary or advice about where we were or what we could see

Most memorable experience in Rome was being there, the beauty of Ancient Rome, even though there is much renovation going on it’s still espectacular! Also 5 star to our driver guide Francisco, whom picked us up at the port and gave us the tour of highlights!

The best way to see the highlights of Rome. The guide was great and I didn’t feel rushed. The guide (name begin with a M) made a delicious reservation for lunch. I highly recommend this tour.

Our tour guide was terrible. He spoke very little English, he just pointed to a place. He did not give us bathroom time, time to eat and he was very crabby. We had difficulty finding places.

The whole experience was absolutely awesome 🤩 our guide was the best, would highly recommend this crew especially if your cruising as they offer much more than the ships do A+++

Great excursion covering the high points in Rome. In a small group of 8 people, we traveled in an air-conditioned van a little over an hour to Rome. We saw the Trevi Fountain the Spanish Steps, the Colosseum, Saint Peters's Basilica, Piazza Venezia, and stopped for photo opportunities. We had time to shop and grab some refreshments near the Trevi Fountain. It was the perfect way to see a lot in short time frame/cruise port. Our guide was friendly and offered to take photos at each location. An efficient /affordable way to see the highlights in Rome on a cruise stop. Would highly recommend.

Very fun tour, guided with not so much guided information but went to soo many places and Marcelo very accommodating with requests and photos. Lovely lunch spot. Thank you so much.

This is a great option for those who have never been in Rome (me). You get to visit the main places in the city and they drop you off very close to the attractions (no time to go inside, don’t expect that)

Very disappointed our trip was cancelled the night before. Too late to book anybody else. Our money was refunded but I'll be more careful who I use next time.

We loved Marcello. He was a ton of fun and a super guide. It was a super tour, except for the fact that the tour was advertised as having skip the line tickets for the Coliseum, which wasn't the case. Please send me a refund for three skip the line tickets for the Coliseum.

A great way to maximise the cruise stop by air conditioned minibus into and around Rome. We enjoyed the recorded information which we could listen to between stops. Our guide was helpful and pointed out things we would otherwise have missed. It was a wonderful day.

We had great time in Rome. The city tour included the most places to see in Rome. The pick up and drop off from the ship was on time and communication with Stefano was very good.

Driver/ guide picked us up at the port. He small group was a total of 7. We drove to Rome and would stop for a few minutes at the major sightseeing monuments. It was terribly hot and crowded. I felt so much to have an air conditioned van waiting for me. This is a good option if you are not planning to see the Vatican Museum or St. Peter’s Basikica. This is basically a very convenient Hop and Off. I found that the value was great because transport to Rome is expensive and then you have yo pay for the hop and off. He also gives you clear directions of where everything is.

We got off the ship a few minutes before our tour and our tour guide/driver Francesco was already waiting for us. He was an excellent driver! Rome was very busy but he was able to get us to all the spots that were on the list except for Piazza Navona, touted to be the most romantic place in Rome, because it was under construction. Bummer! All was good though - the Vatican city is a must see! The Trevi fountain, Spanish Steps, Pantheon, Vittoriano building had so much history too. I highly recommend this small tour of 8 people!

Carlo was a great tour guide - he was on time and where he said he would be for pick up, and returned us to the ship on time. He got us up close to many sites and then we walked a short distance to see them with as much time as we wanted. We loved the private tour as we could adjust to whatever we wanted to see - we got to see everything on our list. The only negative thing about the whole day was that he recommended a place for lunch and dropped us off, but the lunch took longer than we would have liked and the food wasn't very good. But other than that, Carlo was funny, spoke pretty good English, and gave us a fantastic day in Rome!!

Good for basic sightseeing. Mitigating expectations for Rome in June… you get a few great stops of major landmarks but no time for entry due to crowds. Paulo, the driver, had mad skills and was extremely kind and accommodating. Rome on a Wednesday in June is crowded and lines for entry unbearably long. If the expectation is to hop off and pop into venues, lower expectations. You are hopping off and taking photos in front and getting back in the van. And beyond the control of the tour some attractions are under construction and inaccessible. Historical Explanations are pre-recorded.

Seeing the significant structures, Colosseum, piszzas, the Vatican, the Spanish steps, the 3 Fountains ( too many people when we were there) etc and eating regular but extremely delicious Italian lunch !!

Last minute cancellation without justified reasons. Huge disappointment!! Will never book a tour with them again.

The driver focused on all the major highlights and also showed us other things. He was very knowledgeable and was able to speak English very well.

We were able to see a lot of sights. The trip was very rushed. We did not have any description of either the locations. Our driver hardly knew any English. It was hard to communicate with him. He was a very safe driver. He knew a lot of short cuts on the streets.

Marcelo was great! We had a wonderful time! He was an awesome driver and provided a lot of good information and service! If needing a driver in Roma ask for Marcelo!

Unfortunately Vatican was closed and I asked before booking if I get tickets to the Museum and I was promised yes but the Driver did not have tickets. Are we getting refund? We did not really get a close up look at the other monuments. It felt like a very rushed tour. It was nice that he dropped us on and off but I would not recommend this tour. Please refund us for the tickets to the museum as we did not get it nor used it. Thank you.

Crowds and more crowds. Driver could not communicate and audio kept skipping. I would not do this tour sgain

Another great excursion, our group was separated but the drivers made sure to stay together so that we could experience Rome together. Great service

Get to see some important area of Rome. It was very disappointed with the choices of where we went it was overly crowded and many people were persists to selling things to us to the point I did not feels safe. And we were at da carmine for lunch, worse place to be at they were very racist. We didn’t have a choice to pick where we want to eat at. We should be able to go different location as we pay with our own money. I was extremely unhappy paying someone for lousy servers and they treated us horrible.
