This reads like its a self guided tour of the coliseum IT IS NOT!!! if you are wanting to go into the coliseum dont book total waste of money

Bit annoying that you have to collect your tickets from the prison which is 15mins walk each way, before you can go to the colosseum. The colosseum itself was amazing. So pleased we went. Such a lot of history there and amazing architecture.

I booked this tour and walked around the entire colosseum twice, in extreme heat, and the guide was not there. I attempted to contact through the app, no response. The phone number provided would ring, say a message in Spanish and hang up. I do not recommend this tour.

Terrible. Scam. This price does not include your ticket to get in but that isn’t clear on any of the information given. The link provided to get tickets (once you’ve already paid and realize that this doesn’t include tickets to get in) doesn’t work and the phone number is disconnected.

A great experience seeing inside the colosseum, the audio guide is very interesting. It can get very busy, but doesn't ruin the experience.

We didn’t know until 2 days before that our actual entry tickets weren’t included and by then the colloseum was sold out. When we got there there was no one from Viator to help or guide us in any way to fix the situation and no response on any emails to them. Wouldn’t use this again ever.

Viator should NOT sell this audio tour. It's totally misleading until after you purchase and read the small print that TICKETS NOT INCLUDED. This messed up our whole day in Rome that we didn't have time to stand in line but went to the Coliseum and thought we could enter after Viator purchase, but instead we had an audio guide with complicated download instructions -meanwhile the Colisseum offers affordable and super easy audio guides in all languages. This was really bad, plus no response from Viator when I asked for help and then complained. I am fighting the charge with Amex.

We booked tickets for the colloseum but the staff from there didnt let us in. I took a phone to the viator company for help, but nobody answered. Then i wrote them 2 emails, and nobody answered this. I will neber book again with viator

Really good info - once I figured out how to access the audio. Also, be aware that the numbering system for the stops does not match the numbering system inside the Coliseum. The interactive map is pretty helpful to get you near the correct spot, although we often ended up on the incorrect level inside the Coliseum.

Didn't explain that it didn't include the tickets until after you had payed for the whole thing ……….

First I am going to say that I love Viator and have booked many tours in the past 5 years in different countries and cities. However, this one in particular was a disappointment as it was not an actual tour and didn't gave us access to the Colisseum in Rome. Instead, we needed to make a big line and purchase tickets the same day and spend more money as Viator didn't want to refund our money.

Amazing how to see the historical architecture. Walking in an area that was built over two thousand years ago was incredible.

Could not get the audio to play for more than 1 minute. Never heard the whole audio. No headphones provided .

It was not possible for me to call up and use my booking! Unfortunately, we had to go through the Colosseum without a guided tour. Too bad about the €18.76

We arrived at the steps at 13.15, having the day before checked their location. There was no one there to greet us. Apparently, we should have met on a different set of steps. The tour guide had called me but when I answered their call he/she said nothing. Yes, they had sent me a WhatsApp message but this hadn't arrived to me in time, and difficult to get notifications of messages within the noise of the Vatican area. So, we had no trip inside the Vatican.

this is a ripoff. do not buy this. it is a crappy app that had an audio track. t it did not include a ticket. you can get this information for free so don't waste your money like I did.

I prefer real stories and facts about the colosseum and not a story about gladiators only. This does not cover the historical value of the building at all.

Worse than terrible. We were scrambling for tickets and saw "self-guided audio TOUR" for $10.00, so we scooped them up. We arrived the next day to discover that the "tour" we paid for did not include entrance to the tour location(which was not available for several days--after our trip was over). We, as tourists, have enough to contend with, being in a foreign country and dodging all the beggars and grifters in the public areas around these attractions. Now we have to deal with the same from a so-called "reputable" online company?

Perfect. So much history and beauty in a place Make sure you book before as the queue is quite big. Super worth it.

If you love history or are into architecture this is a must! There is an elevator available for those with disabilities. The history is different from what you hear in movies. And the view is amazing. This was my second trip to see it. You can skip the lines if you have a tour guide.

We did the Colosseum underground tour and loved it it did cost extra but was worth it. We went during summer and it was very hot so make sure to have lots of water with you.

Coliseum Rome wasn't my favourite sight by any stretch Very busy even early in the day, I know it has great history attached to it but In my opinion the view from the outside is enough for most people We paid for a tour but it just dragged on too long for us Would have been just as happy to take a few photos of the exterior

The world's largest free-standing oval amphitheatre is a massive statement in the prowess of civil engineering in Roman times. Almost 2000 years old: still standing, still a jaw-dropping sight (and without any brutal entertainment going on inside).

Caution – in my experience, unfortunately, an absolute rip-off! I can only warn against booking through this provider. Our stadium tour was canceled, and at the Colosseum, we stood in the heat with our two children for over an hour. In the end, our tickets were invalid and we were not let in. Customer service was unreachable and no one could help us. Our children were very disappointed and the excursion was completely ruined. I am hoping for a full refund. For me, it is clear: I will never book tickets there again.

Done via Viator, price was good but unfortunately no Dutch. Still some searching, eg right entrance , also the entrance to Palentine and Forum was some searching

The audio guide was very useful, the narration is very good and interesting, I like to accompany my tour with the guide, you should only read the description well because it does not include the entrance to the coliseum.

My trip to Rome was an illusion for me and my family, when we decided to go to the Roman Colosseum, we were looking for several options and we found the audio guide and it caught our attention, we had already bought the tickets, we only needed to find a guide in Spanish, and it was much easier and cheaper to use this app. So my family and I recommend it 100%. The story was very good and complete, my children loved it.

The symbol of the coliseum, its meaning and the Roman empire were more than an adventure that, thanks to Soundwalkrs, I could experience and would live again and again.

I really loved being able to use the application, it is quite easy to learn how to use it, although it was my first time I didn't have many problems, I also found the great variety of places very interesting and the way they tell the stories using music to give the atmosphere is exceptional, In summary it was a very good experience :3
