Was a great way to avoid the crowds at the Colosseum and find a bit of inner peace at the same time. Laura was fantastic and gave us great tips to follow along with lots of historic facts as we were drawing. I’ve not picked up an art pencil in about 30 years so it made it doubly special. We were sat in shade but the midday sun moved round very quickly. We needed that SF50+ and to refill our large water bottles. Laura made sure to take us to the nearby nasoni (lit tr: big noses, free water fountains) before we headed off. Thanks for a wonderful experience and the biscuits 🙏

Itinerary
This is not a typical Colosseum tour. It’s a slower, more personal way to experience one of Rome’s most iconic landmarks. If you’re looking for a fast-paced guided tour filled with historical facts, this experience may not be for you. It is designed for travellers who want to step out of the usual tourist rhythm. Seated in the shade of Oppian Hill Park, with the Colosseum in view, you’ll have time to breathe, observe and notice details that are easy to miss when rushing from one attraction to another. Using a simple method, you’ll create your own sketch of the Colosseum. No drawing experience is required, and all materials are provided. This is not a traditional drawing class: sketching is simply a tool to help you look more closely and experience the moment with greater attention and curiosity. The experience is relaxed, personal and limited to a maximum of six participants. It is perfect for curious travellers, couples, families with children or teenagers, solo travellers, creatives and anyone who needs a peaceful break during a busy Rome itinerary. You’ll take home your sketch as a personal souvenir of the time you slowed down and saw the Colosseum differently.

A different way to visit Rome My friends and I enjoyed so much
A way to feel Rome and to relax. Good moment to share
A way to visit Rome than to consume ir
A fun experience. My bad for not telling the instructor my husband already knew how to draw so it could have been more advanced. Instructor was very knowledgeable and helped him see things a bit differently.
A friend of mine told me about this particular experience. I was a bit skeptical about it because I am a tourist guide in Rome and I am used to explain the Coliseum to people. But when I tried this experience I changed my mind because it had nothing in common with the usual guided visits. It is a different manner to look at the Coliseum that is to say not through words or explanations but through your own creativity. In addition, it is a very relaxing experience. You don't realize the time passing. Very good.
I was here with my daughter and we discovered the Colosseum. There are so many things I didn't know existed
I came with my partner. I found myself very well, I saw the Colosseum in a really different way. Thank you.
The experience was interesting but I would have expected a slightly more comfortable accommodation. The cushion I was sitting on wasn't soft enough
A pleasant and fun experience that I had together with my partner. After hours on our feet visiting museums and monuments, we treated ourselves to an original and relaxing experience. It was a different way of visiting a monument, not by listening or reading explanations but through observation and creativity. As Laura explained to us, the Colosseum is experienced personally because its image passes through our mind and body, that is, through our hands. To try!
Different and very interesting experience, immersed in nature you observe one of the most important monuments of ancient Rome with a different eye... to try!
Fun and educational experience, my daughter and I had fun drawing and discovering the Colosseum in a completely new way."
Discover, learn about and appreciate the symbolic place of Rome in a new way: the Colosseum. As an archaeologist, I was thrilled to be able to travel through time through drawing! A sensorial experience that I recommend to everyone and especially to those looking for a slow pace of discovery, despite the chaos of the city. An excellent cultural initiative! I had fun 😊
The experience was truly unique and galvanizing, I found out about it through word of mouth and I must say that I made a really good impression with my friends, furthermore the drawing techniques explained by Mrs. Laura are really easy to learn and put into practice even for people like us who are absolutely unfamiliar with the art of drawing. As if that wasn't enough, the very nice and I must say very well-prepared Lady tells you in a simple and concise way the history and particularities of the Colosseum, without seeming heavy and willingly opening up to questions about the monument and a bit of chatter :) As we have already told you in person, congratulations again for the idea!
Very nice experience and a nice way to spend some time surrounded by nature doing something different. For me, since I'm not good at drawing, it was a bit difficult at the beginning but the beauty of it is also to test yourself.
excellent experience, immersed in nature with comfortable cushions and drawing material provided by the organizer. unfortunately I particularly suffer from the heat, so having been there on an August afternoon, I wasn't able to enjoy everything to the fullest, but the organization is very precise
No rush for tickets, no stress, no crowds just absolute relaxation. It is the best way to get to know the symbolic monument of Rome, approaching it in an original way, living a very personal experience. While you discover interesting facts and curiosities about the Colosseum, you learn the basic drawing techniques and surprise yourself by creating a fantastic drawing of the monument yourself, the best souvenir to take with you! A brilliant idea! All this takes place in the shade of the trees of a delightful public garden from which you can enjoy the view of the Colosseum in complete tranquility. You relax, learn something new and have fun, socializing with the other participants. Highly recommended! Congratulations to whoever had this great idea!
very fun and unique...time flew by. we had a lot of fun, both my son and I. advised
Thanks to this experience, my father and I were able to take away with us an important part of the Colosseum: our point of view on the monument. Mrs. Laura proposed an interactive method of historical visit, capable of stimulating the tourist, also providing us with information to improve the quality and perspective of the drawing. Definitely a recommended experience, for both adults and children, for experts and novices.
Fun and constructive experience especially for children with my two children aged 7 and 12. I recommend it!
My boyfriend and I wanted to do something different from the usual guided tour of the Colosseum, because we don't like confusion and crowding. I have to say that it was an interesting and also relaxing experience. Drawing was a way of discovering and visiting the Colosseum in a completely new way. To try.
