This was, by far, the most confusing, worst travel experience ever. I would never book through Trip Advisor, Viator travel or Pointours ever again. First, when I looked at my ticket the day of the experience, I realized the ticket did not match what I had booked and what was in the confirmation email I received (photos included). After trying to get through to customer service for awhile and figuring out who to contact, I got through to Viator customer service. It ended up taking a very confusing 45 minutes (during which the customer service agent had to contact several other people, couldn’t get a hold of Pointours, etc.) to confirm that even though the ticket SAID something about a private photographer experience, it actually was a ticket for what we booked. The one good thing about this was the Viator customer service person was very helpful. However, she said that our ticket could just be presented at the Colosseum and we’d be fine, which turned out to not be correct. When we got to the Colosseum and presented our ticket they said ot wasn’t a ticket and we needed to get it from the vendor. The problem was there were no instructions on how to get the ticket from the vendor. I never got an email about how to get the tickets, the booking had no additional information, etc. we called Viator again and they tried to get a hold of Pointours and couldn’t. Eventually they did and Pointours called us back saying they had been waiting for us to meet them. Well how would we have known that when it was never communicated? Why wouldn’t they have called when we didn’t show up? However, at this point it was well past our admission time. The only other positive is they gave us a refund without issues.

We had a wonderful day!!! 🇮🇹🌆 Be sure you have passport or ID for the security check. That line will be a little bit longer depending on time of day. The skip the line tickets still applies, but there were lines for the security check. For the audio guide make sure you have Wi-Fi so you are able to download it prior to walking in. The signal was tricky for us. There were places inside to fill up water bottles! The photo shoot exceeded our expectations! The Photographer Haider had fun with our kids and was very patient with our family. And getting fun moments captured 🤩🙏 Thank you for wonderful treatment and making sure we knew where to go and what to do!
Guide gave us inaccurate information. We got to the gate and we were told we had to buy a Roma pass which he did not mention other than giving us a QR code that did not work. I think this company may be a scam. I asked for a full refund we had to buy tickets to get in. I do not recommend this company. Not only were we given inaccurate information, but even when he was talking to us, he did not have the correct information for what we had paid for. We had paid for ground floor and he did not have that on his books. I’ve dealt with Viatour for many many years and have never had to write a bad review, but I’ve never had this issue before.. total waste. So disappointing.
We were late to Collisium tour due to holiday in Roma- they had a women meet us at metro station and get us to our group, very accommodating!!!

Good value self led experience with help from guide who met us just outside of the Colosseum. Well worth paying the extra to skip be queue & get straight in without spending time in a long, slow moving lines. Amazing sights at very turn. A full day’s experience that we could have extended had the weather been better. Still enjoyed it even in the pouring rain!

Had an amazing photo shoot and experience with two very lovely photographers. Very helpful and photos were amazing . Met outside ATM across rd from colosseum and then walked around to get shoots . They were very helpful with entry to colosseum and recommended other places of interest . Will definitely be using them again if we come back . A quick 48 hours to receive all our lovely photos !!! Do not book. Tour operator was late - he was only there to send us tickets on WhatsApp and was more interested in trying to upsell us other tours and was desperately trying to get us to take our photos which are “included”. We didn’t get an audio guide and were using ChatGPT to fill the gaps with what we were seeing. It was the first time I had a bad experience on viator - requested a refund and have not heard back yet. No clue what I paid for as I could have easily lined up and bought tickets there. They upcharge for unknown reasons - avoid avoid avoid.

We took the self-guided tour.The Colosseum is huge and what a remarkable architectural Accomplishment. I had no idea the size until I arrived. Many things I had imagined were proving to me to be different. The Romans were remarkable.The doer was awesome , but quite a bit tiring

This tour is worthwhile to get Admissions tickets, especially last minute. The audio piece of the self guided tour is pretty much useless.
It was not worth the money. More difficult to navigate than other tours I've booked with Viator. Would not recommend the self-guided tour.
All this booking procured us was tickets. No guidance, printed or electronic, nor materials. A person walked us to the entrance line and had us pull up the electronic tickets they texted us. That was it. Electronic directions and texted directions were to two different places and neither were the entrance. I would suggest a self guide that provides audio for a self guided tour. I saw many people with that and it would have been great!
My wife and I had an incredible trip to Rome, and the whole experience was made even better by the fantastic team behind the tour. Everything was so well-organized and seamless, which allowed us to fully enjoy the city's beauty and history together.
