Rome:colosseum, Forum & Palatin Hill Guided Tour - Private/group

Our guide was exceptional with in depth education in the art and history of the area. She was fun and informative and fluid in English. Probably the best guided tour we have experienced. Highly recommended!

We did this with a 1 year old. The tour guide Anita was fantastic. 10/10 would recommend. This tour was completely private to my party of five people. No audio headsets necessary. It’s expensive but a nice luxury if you can pay for it. The tour can now move at your own pace and can accommodate having children or having physical limitations. Anita was caring for my parents and their mobility as well as for our 1 year old. She was very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of personalized advice along the way. She told us about a family room inside the colosseum that we didn’t know about. She made sure we had water bottles, water breaks, refilled our water bottles, took breaks in the shade the explain things instead of just standing in the sun. Anita was a caring person because she looked after my parents and my child along the tour while also being a tour guide. She also gave us a lot of tips about restaurants near our hotel, places to visit near other sites we were planning to see, she basically planned the rest of our trip or at least the spare time we had. She’s the type of tour guide you wish you’d get. She answered all of questions well and made it the experience great. She also helped take a lot of our family photos and knew the best angles and locations. You can’t use a stroller for the forums but inside the colosseum you can. We took a small foldable stroller and carried it during the forums and later used it inside the colosseum. I used a baby chest carrier for the first portion.

At midnight before the start of our 9:00am tour, we were informed that the guide had to cancel due to personal matters. We were given no other options but to wait for - different guide at 11:00am. Once the new guide did arrive, 2 hours later, they were professional and knowledgeable. However, we were only give a tour of the colosseum and did give a tour of the Roman Forum or Palatine Hill as what was included in the listing and price. Having received less than half of what we paid for any attempt at even a partial refund was refused - 1 star.

Very good tour in a small group, our guide Andy was very well informed. We did have a baby in a stroller which was very difficult to navigate the cobblestone roads and paths.

This was by far the BEST tour and guide we experienced in Rome. The guide was so knowledgeable about the history of the Colleseum and Palatine Hill.

The tour guide had a huge amount of knowledge and was really well versed. Even though it was a lot of walking, it was well worth it.

My wife and I booked this tour last minute after our underground Colosseum tour was cancelled. We were grateful that these were at least legit tickets that guaranteed our entrance on the only day we had available, but this tour group is greatly overcharging for what you get. The tour guide seemed to be in a rush, and barely gave us any time to see the Roman Forum (maybe 20 minutes), totally skipping the Palatine Hill. We weren’t allowed to re-enter later since the tickets are single entry. The tour guide also had an attitude and mentioned that he wanted to quit working for this company. He hurried us to the colosseum entrance, had us watch 2 minutes of the video playing on the screen, and then abandoned us. We got no information about the Colosseum itself, or any guide on interesting places to see once inside. Overall, we are glad we at least got to go, but I would not book this tour unless you are desperately looking for something last-minute, like I was in my situation.

The Colosseum itself was incredible, but unfortunately the tour experience did not live up to the price. We were a small group of seven people, yet the tour still felt rushed and surprisingly impersonal. The guide was difficult to understand at times, seemed to have an attitude, and moved us quickly from place to place without really creating an engaging or enjoyable atmosphere. For the amount charged, I expected a much more immersive, thoughtful, and well-paced experience. Overall, the tour felt very ordinary and definitely not worth the premium price.

Our tour guide, Ridalda, has great passion and knowledge! She was welcoming and a masterful storyteller. Absolutely stellar! Highly recommend

Second time taking this tour just a different company and the tour wasn't very informational. We booked original with Viator 6 months ago to be canceled 3 times before they gave up on finding one and I had to locate on my own.

After some initial meet up confusion, Enzo was very kind to hook us up with a phenomenal guide, Lidio, who was very kind, humorous, extremely knowledgeable, and absolutely passionate. We highly recommend this tour especially if you can get Lidio as your guide.

Guide was very informative and my kids and I enjoyed the tour very much. Would recommend this tour for sure.

It was my 3rd time in rome and lideo our guide was excellent ,knowledgeable and brought the history to life within the Colosseum, Palatine Hill and the bustle of the Forum. we had kids with us and they were also happy with the tour. Thoroughly recommended.

Ww has Simona and she was wonderful! She gave us a lot of information and answered so many questions for us and told us of some local venues. I would definitely recommend some local places to eat!

We did a full morning at the Roman Forum learning about the ancient history with Donatella - she was kind, knowledgeable, and passionate about the ancient city and history of the Romans. She had insights and details we would not have gleaned on a self guided tour. She made navigating the Forum very easy! We then wrapped the Forum tour and met Henrique for the Colosseum tour. Our group was small and he was incredibly passionate about sharing the history and walking us through the key areas of Colosseum. He was awesome at navigating the crowds and ensuring everyone in our group could see, get photos, and ask questions. Overall it was a really great way to learn about Roman history and navigate two of the largest historical areas in Rome. Enzo made planning and logistics very easy leading up to the tour.

Great tour with Enri who was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic, we booked with getitaly tours who were outside the tourist center skipped all the (massive) queues and had a great afternoon. Thanks everyone involved.

The tour was well organised and delivered as promised with easy direct entrance in spite of crowds waiting. Henri, the tour guide, knew his stuff and delivered it with animated enthusiasm. Easy to understand and thorough. Helped us determine the Palatine tour time and entrance for the following day.

Henry was an amazing guide! He was super knowledge and referenced a book to allow us to see what the colosseum looked liked in its prime. We want to do another tour of the underground.

Last minute booking - Enzo was very attentive and everything ran smoothly. Simona was delightful, informative, witty and very attentive to my elderly Mother. A tour worth taking.

This tour cost $150 and it was a very basic Colosseum tour, nothing special. I bought it because it was the only tour left available for the time we had in Rome. Plus: Enzo and the other tour assistant were very nice. Minuses: It was difficult to find the meeting place which was far from the entrance to the Colosseum. Because of the lack of organization, we were not able to use the ticket to see the Forum or Palentine Hill which is included even in the cheapest tickets. Our tour finished at closing time and there wasn't a way to use our tickets at Forum or Palentine Hill BEFORE seeing the Colosseum. They said we could use them the next day which wasn't possible for us because we had tickets for something else. It was very dissappointing to not be able to see everything and pay such an huge fee for a one hour tour.

Had a fabulous small group tour of the coliseum with Simona today. She was so much fun and informative. we did the express tour because we didn’t have much but it was amazing how much information and history she squeezed into the short time!

The tour was excellent. We struggled to find any way to go in colostrum on short notice and were very thrilled with this experience . We learned a lot. The operators went above and beyond to accommodate as we were not able to arrive on time

I had an awesome tour of the Colosseum with Marco! He really made the place come alive and helped us picture what it was like back in the day. He knew so much about the history and answered all my (many) questions with ease. Marco made the whole experience super interesting and fun—definitely recommend him if you’re visiting!

Simona was our tour guide and she great!! She was very thorough with the history of the colosseum; sharing its origination, how it was used throughout its life and how it got to where it was at today. She knew all of the workers and because of that we were always guided through by everyone with a smile on their faces. It made the experience that much more pleasurable being guided with smiles. Simona knew we wanted pictures to remember the experience by and made sure we hit all of the best photo spots and even took on being our personal photographer, and all of her pictures came out great! Would recommend to anyone wanting a personal tour of one of ancient romes greatest creations.

Marco Was the best tour guide ever. Not only was informative but he was entertaining. He allowed us to take pictures when we needed to but still gave us enough insight to know everything about the history of the colosseum. Book with them, you will not regret it!

I had the most amazing tour with Simona today! She described in detail each area we visited and she was very friendly. She stayed behind to answer all of our questions afterwards as well and seemed very happy to.
