Rome: Vatican Museums & Sistine Chapel Reserved Entry Ticket

Although there was an unexpected change to our original booking, the team was helpful when we visited the shop and worked quickly to find a suitable solution. We were happy with the alternative they arranged. Our tour guide, Lynette, was fantastic and had a wealth of knowledge, making the experience really enjoyable. We appreciated the team’s professionalism and how promptly everything was resolved.

Delivered the tickets, even if severely marked up (but, if you want to see the Vatican and weren’t able to book a month+ in advance and need last-minute skip the line tickets, you can get them from here. If you don’t do skip the line it will be a miserable, verging-on-inhumane endurancefest of a queue to try and get in. Be prepared for your entrance time to change. We booked a noon entrance but was told our time moved to 12:30 only once we got to the collection point. We arrived at 11:30 (so we would have time to get our tickets, get to the entrance, and be admitted at 12:00 since we did not know the admission time had been changed on us). The company then wanted us to return at 12:30 so they could THEN take the 10-15 minutes to walk us to the entrance, wait in the relatively short skip-the-line line, and be admitted between 12:45 and 12:55 (when we budgeted our time with the expectation of entering the Vatican at 12:00. We were finally able to convince them to just give us our tickets at about 11:40 and we were able to enter the Vatican a little after noon. All this to say - if you need last-minute skip-the-line tickets and are willing to pay a massive mark-up for them, this place can work for you. Just be sure adjust your expectations to arrive inside the Vatican about an hour after the time listed by this vendor on their Viator site.

Our experience was excellent. We arrived at the Gyosh office 10 minutes before our scheduled booking time and our guide got us into the Vatican within about 15 minutes - we skipped right past all of the queues and he made it as stress free as possible. Once inside you are on your own but he showed us how to get the map for the museum which was great. This is perfect if you want to skip ahead of all the queues and have time to explore the area yourself. Would recommend to anyone.

Basically this tour was just getting in without the wait in line. After getting in you are on your own. We could not get the map of the Vatican after we got in to download on our phones. There were tons of people and hot in some areas.

I’ve never left a review, but I am so grateful for the help I received that I had to. Feel free to ignore if you hate essays. I’m not one for third-party-bookings (with respect), but I was out of options with a week left in Italy. I was a bit hesitant about meeting somewhere to receive the ticket, but it was no big deal, as it’s a pretty close walk to the Vatican. I had run into an issue and couldn’t be at the meeting point on time, and they accommodated me well. They walked me to the Vatican to make sure I could get in within the 30min time frame allowed. They had also offered to meet me at the Vatican and bring me my ticket. I was then brought the rest of the way (they waited!) by Juan, who is a very nice and happy man. He made me feel extremely comfortable about accidentally being a menace. We breezed through the speedy line and the 95° made every cent worth it. Juan went as far as going to the counter with me to ensure they’d accept my ticket. Don’t tell anyone, but you can stay as long as you want in the museum despite a listed time frame. You will be prompted to leave by 7:30 though! You don’t have to dress fancy, cover the shoulders and knees (I brought a shawl) -only have to wear in the Sistine Chapel-not the museum! No backpacks. Wear comfy shoes and enjoy. Shoutout Juan.

We had an amazing experience with this company. There was an issue on our end that we required to be worked out and the company went above and beyond for us. I want to thank Juan for making magic happen and therefore making our trip memorable. I will recommend this company to anyone visiting.

It’s very difficult to find the spot where the tour guides are waiting. We spent way too much time on that

Vatican museums is a trove treasure of sculptures and paintings of master articians like Michael Angelo. The Sistine chappal paintings are most es we eqisite and beautiful paintings ever seen.

We made it to the office and were told to wait. Our tour was at 12:30 and they came back to get us at 12:45. They tried to get an extra $50 for a tour guide (the ad said this was included in the price). When we declined the fella got mad at us. Then he gave us our tickets and sent us on our way with verbal directions. When we got to the Vatican museums, the lady at check in said that the audio was included. Late for our tour, dismissed and sitting in a dirty area waiting… NOT the highlight of our vacation.

The directions were very clear, we got in so much faster with this skip the line ticket. They took us through the while process very clearly. I would definitely recommend this experience.

I don’t understand the bad reviews about this company 🤷‍♀️ We had such an easy and stress-free experience. The employees were very nice and walked you exactly to where you needed to go. The prices were very reasonable for a skip-the-line ticket, especially because we were buying very last-minute. And, yes, I certainly believe the cost is worth it to skip the line.

Got us right to the front of the line and handled dealing with security and ushers to make sure we got right in, then left us to tour the city alone as we had hoped! Worth it on busy days to cut lines that could be 2 hours long or more

We had tickets for three people at 4:30 for "skip the line" entrance to the Vatican. We got there way ahead of time and had lunch close by. During our lunch we received a PANICKED phone call at 4PM asking where we were. We were NOT supposed to be there for another 30 minutes. They said, we were "WRONG" and that there was 1 person who was supposed to be on the line at 4:PM. This made no sense. We had to race to finish our lunch to RUN to get to their office. I had the tickets in hand saying 3 people at 4:30. The owner raced one of us to the entrance on the back of a scooter to get that person in on HIS time. This was NOT according to OUR tickets. This was crazy to say the least and unacceptable!!! NEVER AGAIN !!

We bought tickets 2 weeks in advance to visit the Vatican. The day before our scheduled visit, we received an email stating that our time had moved up 24 hours, leaving us no time to get to the Vatican. We were told that due to large crowds there was no guarantee we could get in even if we showed up on time. We were looking forward to visiting the Vatican and this issue caused us to miss out on this experience completely. Do not use this service.

TheVatican is massive , the actual Skip the line part is quite helpful. The direct instruction to get in is difficult ,once you find the ticket location they were very helpful. This takes a lot of time to go through. Be rested and willing to stop and look. The staff pushes you through. Most patrons don’t seem to take it all in. Take your time,it is amazing.Stay hydrated and there are lots of stairs. 100% well worth the money, Go early and leave late, You will love it!

The people at the tour site were great but the Vatican tour is underwhelming. It would be much better if it wasn’t hot and muggy inside and there are way too many people. They herd you through like cattle.

Must see attraction and skip the line helped. I found this to be expensive with no tour guide included but skip the line and the attraction irself was worth it.

We had a very good experience. We were escorted to the Vatican Museum & Sistine Chapel & were able to skip the line! Our escort took care of everything & was so friendly. The site itself is magnificent. Just one thing to note. When you book your experience the voucher you receive is not your ticket. You have to turn in your voucher at the Viator ticket site. It clearly states this but it can be missed.

Very disappointing that the chapel was closed and we still had to pay full price. Was good otherwise.

We purchased a ticket that allowed us to skip the regular line, but the special line at the Vatican Museum was still quite long. Unfortunately, we missed out on a whole experience at the Sistine Chapel due to a special closure.

Vatican Museum is closed a lot during holidays. This service helped us secure true skip the line tickets on short notice. Worked very well.

I booked for 3pm .. arrived at 2.30pm to collect tickets to be told to go back at 3pm .. At 3pm I collected tickets to then have a 10min walk to entrance and que again .. then by this time we were told we had missed our tour and we had to walk through with no guide .. very disappointed and advise anyone to confirm If you pick your tickets at stated time you will not miss your tour

Great experience visiting Vatican...please be prepared to walk even if you have bought the skip the line tickets. Also watch out for the Taxi outside when you exit...big scam...got saved by a wisker...

Both Museum and Sistine Chapel were amazing. Can spend hours and hours. I think next time, we need to spend a whole day at the museum.

We got there 45 minutes before the “tour” the blonde lady that didn’t even introduce herself told us to wait because we were early then by 2:50 she proceeded to take some people to the museum and told us to wait. Then by 3:05 she came and told us to go by ourselves and that if we wanted we could wait until the other people that were late to show up. And go with them. Or we could go by ourselves. She was not pleasant and was in a rush to not take care of us. Gave us instructions that were not at all accurate. When we got to the museum we were explained how to get our tour person that we paid to have but it was late our group has left. So we did it on our own. We were explained that Basilica is free that we could walk over there and enjoy it. There was no skip line in Basilica is first come first serve. We do not recommend this company. No service whatsoever. Sorry.

This skip the line ticket was a life saver! Easy to get the ticket, and we waited in line for no more than 15 minutes to get in the museum. Completely worth the extra money to skip that line. We heard someone say they had been waiting for an hour - and they were no where near the entrance. We would not have had the Vatican museum experience without this skip the line ticket.

The meeting place is only to pick up tix…we thought it was where tour started - not explained properly! By time we got to where tour started it had left and all we got was our ticket in…not recommended!

The tour did not happen at all. We bought skip the line but we were put to long lines instead because someone decided for us that a tour guide is better than skip the line. Or maybe a scam? Sure enough, nobody was allowed to enter after 6pm including us. We were promised a refund, they better be.There's a lot of us on that group, I won't be surprised if legal action is taken to make sure this does not happen again.

Booked for 5.30 they changed it to 5 but only contacted me at 4.15. We had no skip the line even though we paid for it they did give us a tour guide but he spent his time most of his time looking for people on the tour and at the end he kept say we didn't give him back the speakers. It felt like we were childen. Very bad tour and would not recommend. The whole thing was manic and very badly organised. You would be better off just going yourself no need for a tour you can get radio guides from the vatican and it would be cheaper and better.

Worst tour I have ever experienced. We waited in line for the museum for 45 minutes then had to be rushed in only to find out we still didn’t have tickets and they still had to be purchased. Once we were given tickets we were told to go with another tour guide bc our group was too big but we never saw the tour guide again. No one knew what was going on or what to do next. We ended up doing the whole thing by ourselves in a rushed fashion just to get it all done before it closed because we only had an hour to make it through the whole thing. Very unhappy with the whole experience and not worth spending the money on.

This tour seemed really disorganized. Our tour was for 4pm. When I arrive, I’m told the tour time was changed to 5pm “by the Vatican”. When we arrive at 5, a tour guide seems to be missing so we (everyone in the group) is left waiting. Then we are told that 3 people have not checked in yet and will be even more delayed. By this time, our rescheduled tour is now 45 minutes behind. We are rushed to the Vatican where we wait another 20ish minutes for security. There were no instructions on what to do once we were inside and tickets weren’t even purchased yet so, more waiting. For a family of 4, this tour cost $300. However, the level of service was not worth $300. We have used other tour groups and communication was MUCH better. The company had my contact info, I should have gotten a call so we could properly re-organize our day.

Problems with tickets availability at the time requested/purchased. Had to wait until they figure it out and at the end provided the tickets.

Be prepared for big crowds, the need to keep moving almost of the time. The art is beautiful. It is a lot of walking.

This was advertised as a Skip The Line entrance. It was not!!! We booked for a 3pm entrance… we received a last minute email saying it was changed to 5pm. We didn’t gain entry into the museum until almost 6pm. The Vatican Museums close at 8pm… We were rushed thru the whole museum! I did ask/received a credit. But it ruined the experience!!!

NEVER BUY FROM THIS SITE AND FROM THEM, they are lying and defraud, you pay horrible money and they shift your time, and are late, and you don’t even get to have full experience and had to wait even when you have skip the line, what they are doing is steeling not helping… never trust them

We booked a skip-the-line ticket because we wanted to explore the museum and chapel at our own pace. However, a day before our visit, we were informed that our schedule was moved from 4 PM to 5 PM — which we accepted without issue. On the day itself, we waited at the meeting point for about 30 minutes before starting the walk to the Vatican Museum. Please note that their office is quite far from the actual museum entrance, so we had to walk and wait again for around 10–15 minutes under the scorching sun before being allowed to enter. We were grouped with participants who had a guided tour, which was confusing since we booked a self-guided option and thought we would proceed separately. This was my first time booking through Viator, and I regret not following my gut to use Get Your Guide, as my previous experiences with them have been much smoother. To add to the disappointment, the price we paid for the 4 PM activity was even higher than expected, making the experience feel less worthwhile overall.

It’s much cheaper and easier to go to the museums and buy tickets by yourself. You’re not really skipping any line or saving time

Your voucher isn’t your ticket. Make sure you collect from the address given. They were very helpful making sure we didn’t miss our slot when we made this mistake

Booked this because the date and time slot that fits our schedule was sold out in the official website and they offered the tickets we needed with an acceptable mark-up from direct booking price (others were very much higher). Tickets were legit and we are able to skip the line and go through the Vatican museums and Sistine Chapel as planned. Shop location (meet up point) is easy to find and near Vatican itself.
