The guide was was not aware that some of the customers needed to uplift their tickets at the Vatican Museum. Further, she was laid back and at the beginning of the tour she was not giving the customers adequate information.

Every inch of the chapel is a testament to Renaissance skill, from the vibrant frescoes by Botticelli and Perugino to Michelangelo's powerful 'Last Judgment' on the altar wall. Roberto was kind, professional, and knowledgeable. We really enjoyed having him as our tour guide! The “skipping the line” option was 100% worth it and I highly recommend it!
This experience was horrible and I am requesting a refund. Our guide was told we only had a 2 hr window. She was late to arrive and we had to wait for 2 people who wondered off not in our group of 8. We never saw the Vatican. Very upsetting b
Our guide was amazing! She was so knowledgeable and gave so many little details. Well worth it! I loved her native Italian accent, although it was a little challenging to understand sometimes. The background noise in the mic/headphones made it difficult.
The tour was postponed for an hour and 15 minutes and the guide while nice was extremely difficult to understand.
The Vatican tour was truly breathtaking, filled with incredible sights that brought history to life. Our guide was knowledgeable, patient, and kind, making the experience even more meaningful. The company went above and beyond by reuniting a family member who had purchased a separate ticket—something that seemed nearly impossible, especially right before Easter—ensuring she was able to join our group. Their effort made the experience even more memorable, and I’m incredibly grateful. I would highly recommend this tour.
They should never trust Viator. I enter an internet site that says 25 Euros per person to visit the Vatican Museum and I finished paying much, much more. This is a scam.
Definitely worth purchasing in order to get past the outrageous entry lines. The guide was very knowledgeable but, I will say that we hurried along a lot of the trip to make it to the Sistine Chapel and left a lot out. (Like major art, such as "School of Athens." My spouse and I ended up leaving the group at the end of the Sistine Chapel visit (forgoing a skip-the-line entry into Peter's Basilica) to go back and really look at the galleries that we had zoomed through previously or altogether had missed.
Bought tickets through your site. Then nothing was sent to me via email as stated. Tried to find something on the site. Followed the copied link and again found nothing. So we went down to the Vatican and purchased tickets there again and right before the new tour get a call asking where we are from your vendor. I explained we never received any instructions, tickets or anything to my email or junk folder. Gentleman said that very rarely happens, but I told him it did this time and I had already bought new tickets. Now he and Trip Advisor are telling me they are not going to give me a refund.
I am not one to leave a negative review but I was really disappointed in this tour. It was very unorganized for entry and they left early from the meeting point. Once we were inside the guide gave us too much information that didn’t even really go along well with what we were seeing. I know that might sound silly to have too much information but it was not interesting and made the tour drag on. They provide speakers that clip onto your ear that are very uncomfortable and do not stay on and not easy to hear the guide. The guides English was also difficult to understand. For the $240 we paid for this tour I expected a lot more history and knowledge.
The guide, Peter/Petro knew everything about the Vatican. He navigated our group through the hoards of people and was very patient with the tour members
I was there with my husband and 9 year-old son. I was unsure as to whether or not my son would be able to stay interested for the length of the tour (as 2.5-3 hours is a big ask for a 9 year old) but Alessandra was so knowledgeable and engaging, with all of us but especially with Jacob to keep him interested, that he was interested right to the end. We learnt so much in a short time from Alessandra who is a very warm and personable character - the time flew by very quickly. I highly recommend.
awesome guided tour and learned so much tour guide was very knowledgeable and informative would go again using this tour
Our tour guide had a scooter accident, they called and moved our tour to 5:00. It was terrible. The lady (can't remember her name) was rude and ran us through to the Vatican, she didn't speak good English. We didn't get to see the Basilica, it was closed. I'm supposed to receive a partial refund. Not happy!!
It’s very crowded even on a quiet day. The communication system was marginal quality. The guide was very knowledgeable but had a strong accent which when coupled with poor audio and lots of information made it hard to understand half of what was said.
Very professional and fantastic guided tour. Look no further. Highly recommended. Very knowledged and took time to explain everything.
The tour was canceled after waiting in line for 45 minutes. While waiting in line something happened inside the museum and the tour guide said they closed the the museum and for us to work with Viator to get a refund.
We toured on a day of a huge jubilee event. This tour allowed us to navigate the crowds with ease. Our guide was very good and informative. You can tell this company works hard to keep all the moving parts run smoothly.
Guides and crew were really good and friendly. Pro tip - hit one of the mini markets next to the meeting point and get water or drink before you go. It’s a decent hike and you can take drinks inside the museum. Crowd was massive and entries to museum were delayed with long waits outside, but they handled it very well and made it stress free. Also very knowledgeable about the museum and history. We highly recommend using this tour company.
This was the worst experience! If I could give a negative number it would be negative 10. Completely disorganized! The company sent us with a non English speaking guide. We paid for skip the line, yet waited in the line for 45 minutes. It took an hour to actually enter the location. Then it took 15-30 minutes for our, barely English speaking guide to give us recorders and show us the entrance and exit! We would have missed half the event if I'd didn't insist on making sure we made it. Only 3 of the 8 people were able to complete, although still rushed, the entire paid excursion. This is just a scam. Viator should not be affiliated with this group. It was my first and very negative experience. Not sure I will ever be willing to book through Viator again.
Honestly this tour was chaotic and disorganized. I don't want to name my guide here, but felt they were flippant toward some questions from our group and sped walked us through what was supposed to be an enjoyable experience. Honestly we were moving through the museum at breakneck speed to the point where multiple folks in our group were vocalizing how hot they were / needed water / were sweating so much. We couldn't hear most of what was being presented to us during the museum tour and we weren't given much info on the Sistine Chapel - we ended up just googling fun facts while inside and when we got out. We appreciated that we could skip the line to the basilica, especially during this busy Jubilee season, but the tour ending was abrupt and left us confused as to where to go. If you want to skip the line, no BS - book this tour. If you want something slower and more informative, I highly highly recommend looking elsewhere - especially if you have those in your group that are of older age or not as able-bodied.
Would have rather seen less and understood more rather than sprinting through the Vatican Museum at breakneck speed. Get with the times and encourage visitors to use a virtual guide with gps prompts or other means to tell visitors what they are seeing at their own pace. Would also prevent language barrier with guides.
Everything on time, our guide Roberto was very knowledgeable and he answered all out questions and took his time touring each section and didn’t rush thru the museums. It was a very nice experience
I mean, if you’re stuck buying these tickets, I get why you’d buy them, the Vatican is worth seeing. But in terms of this “service” you don’t really skip any lines, the people aren’t very helpful, and the whole process is chaotic. Essentially they have an employee guide a large group of people to the security, and once past security some guy gives you the 20 euro ticket you’d get if you bought at the Vatican anyways. Overall feel a bit scammed.
This was extremely disappointing. We arrived at the meeting location at 1:45, (early) for our 2:15 tour. We were told the tours were 30 minutes behind because the Pooe had an audience at 12 noon so we should come back at 2:45. We came back early again at 2:30 and were told the tours would start at 3:00pm. At 3:15 we were assigned a group for the tour and we were told that it would be for the Basilica, the Vatican Museum, and the Sistine Chapel. The tour we purchased was the Vatican Museum and the Sistine Chapel. We had already visited the Basilica. We also were on a tight schedule as we had another event at 5pm. After explaining that our tickets were for a different tour package the guide apologized and said they would tell the main office. We walked back to the meeting place and after phone calls and discussions, we were asked to follow the employee from the meeting point to the Vatican museum. We arrived to the museum at 3:45 and had 45 minutes to navigate through the museum and Sistine Chapel without a guide. Needless to say the amount of time we were able to spend there was not sufficient to appreciate everything. The tour we purchased for 2:15 was expected to be 1-3 hours and we only had 45 minutes after all. We were told by the employee that he was processing a refund to our credit card because of the problems we encountered. No refund has been issued. I would NOT recommend this company for a tour. It was very disappointing and frustrating.
Absolutely great tour. Full of information and the tour guide was lovely. Damiano Di Maio was such a good tour guide, really lovely and made the experince fascinating and inclusive as he often engaged with the group rather than how other tour guides just ramble information.
This partner of viator held us over about 1.5 hour to start tour. 3 people did not arrive because of delayed traffic. As well we’re were over 15 minutes late for tour group entry so had to get on the line for skip the line. not that I do not believe that we hold up old up 5-10 minutes for some slightly delayed people. But held up 16 for of us for these 3. Then once in they arrived had to bathroom and tour continued to delay. Vatican museum tour was then rushed to move thru sites. Basically 11:45am tour time did not end till after 3pm and did not have any Vatican time yet. But expected to be 2.5 hours turned into full day and little time for Vatican.
The guide we ha (Roberto) was fantastic. He brought the museums to life. Very impressed also with the agency who advised how we could visit The Basilica without coming back to pay more for a tour. The WHOLE experience was absolutely first rate. Mind you, the setting does help. L
Frederica was a wonderful, friendly, knowledgeable tour guide. Would highly recommend this company for a Vatican tour.
Our guide Paolo was fantastic!! Knowledgeable and very charismatic! Definitely recommend his services! It’s a no-brainer!
The tour guide was very knowledgeable however st the end of the tour she abruptly ended the tour and left some of our family in the middle of St. Peter’s square without explanation they should go up to St. Peter’s basilica . Others who had some mobility issues were ushered in another direction again with no idea where they were headed. It was a bit odd. We enjoyed seeing all we saw. It was amazing.
We had an amazing tour, guided by Alexandra. She was energetic and shared some great historic insights during the tour.
Although the tour we signed up for said it was the "English speaking tour", there were others in our group that spoke 2 different languages for which the tour guide accomodated which meant every statment was repeated in three languages, often in a speedy thick Italian accent. Unfortunately, we felt as though we understood about 5-10% of what was being relayed. We also started late as they seemed to be pulling people that they were selling to from the street. In addition, we arrived at our tour time only to be told that they sent us a message that our tour had been delayed one hour (we never received any message) so had to mill around for an hour waiting - it completely messed up our plans for the rest of the day. The "skip the line" at the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel was nice but then we were left wondering where we were supposed to go in to the Basilica (he told us one set of instrucions that did not seem to exist), which was very frustrating.
It is a far walk from the meeting point to the start of the tour. Very difficult for elderly people who are limited with gait. They should have a drop off at the front of the tour for people that require a little extra time.
The most disorganized tour I have ever taken. The tour started an hour and a half late. They overbooked and had to put us with another group that wasn’t in our language. The tour guide was great and did everything he could to make it up, speaking dual languages to accommodate us! But the tour company itself was too disorganized and too expensive for what we got.
Our Vatican experience with Gyash Tours was nothing short of incredible! From the moment the tour began, it was clear we were in the hands of true professionals who are not only knowledgeable but also genuinely passionate about what they do. Our guide was exceptional – friendly, engaging, and full of fascinating insights that brought the art, history, and hidden details of the Vatican to life. They made what could have been an overwhelming visit feel smooth, intimate, and incredibly enjoyable. We never felt rushed, and they struck the perfect balance between storytelling and giving us time to soak in the surroundings – especially in the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica. Gyash Tours also handled all the logistics seamlessly, saving us hours of queuing and confusion. Their attention to detail and thoughtful pacing made the experience feel both personal and well-organized. If you’re planning a trip to the Vatican, don’t hesitate to book with Gyash Tours – you’ll come away not just with photos, but with unforgettable memories and a much deeper appreciation for everything you see. Highly recommended!
It was the BEST money I’ve spent, we skipped the line that was going all the way around the museum entrance. Great tour guide and we’ve got special accommodations for being a group of 20.
Tour guide Damien was amazing he spoke 2 languages, English and Spanish perfectly saying same things. The Vatican Museum was absolutely stunning and the Sistine Chapel was the highlight of the tour. We were also able to skip the line. The agency was 100% worth it!! Grazie mille!
Very informative and skip the line is a must. Damiano did a great job navigating both Spanish and English with a larger group while the Vatican was quite busy. Well done.
Roberto was a brilliant and informative guide and made the tour so interesting. He was very attentive to each and every one of us and I’m so glad we got him for our tour. Thank you so much Roberto.
Pretty worthless - would just buy a ticket and download the online material that is free and give yourself your own tour. Any knowledge he shared was extremely basic and obvious. It didn’t feel at all special and if anything was a distraction from enjoying the space.
Wonderful! We loved Shak as our guide and the small group size of 10. She had a wonderful delivery and great sense of humor. The sights were incredible and so so so worth the cost of the experience!! 10/10!!!
Guide was great. She was personable, knowledgeable and pleasant. Gave enough detail without overwhelming people. If you had a question she had an answer. The skip the line process saved us easily 2+ hrs. 85 degrees in the sun made the spend well worth it. Would highly recommend.
Absolutely awful experience! Our tour guide encouraged us to use the bathroom before the start of the tour. One of our family members took about a minute longer than the rest of the group. As a result, our tour guide left without us, and we were separated from the rest of the group. When we tried to make our way back to the group a staff member started staring at us then began chasing after us. Our tour guide was nowhere to be found to help or intervene. The staff member did not believe we were part of the tour. She kept interrogating us even though we were wearing our tour stickers. We received no apologies from the staff member or tour guide. It was extremely uncomfortable to be treated so poorly in a sacred space meant for all, especially after we all paid for the tour.
Alexa was a great tour guide & a wealth of knowledge! She did a good job, even tho the Vatican museum was packed with tours! The headsets did not work very well but they are issued by the Vatican! Amazing pieces of art in the museum but you are hurried thru so quickly that you do not have time to stop and look at anything, as was every other tour group. Thanks to Alexa for getting us thru the maze!
The tourguide was a young archeology student who speaks perfect English, Italian, Spanish and Albanian, so therefore the tour was interesting and very informative. Unfortunately i can't remember his name, but he was superb!
We booked this tour through Viator and our local tour guide was Rocco with Gyash Tours. We’re so glad we did. We needed to make a last minute change to our tour and Rocco went out of his way to make it happen. Talk about skipping the line!!!! WOW. You’ll know what I mean once you’re there! Well worth the extra money. We highly recommend this company and tour.
Amazing tour. Due to pope passing and the Jubilee the crowds were massive. Took over 2 hrs to get through the crowds. We thought we had missed the tour as by the time we got to our guide an hr had passed. They were more than happy to continue with a special tour. Damien the tour guide was so lovely and very knowledgeable. Total recommend. If you are looking to do the tour of Vatican museum and Sistine Chapel could not recommend enough.
Damian was amazing we enjoyed every minute it as an archaeologist he was very knowledgeable and provided interesting facts
Amazing tour! Very friendly staff and amazing experience! The Vatican is somewhere I would highly reconned getting to - a real bucket list experience.
