Rome: Tuscany Day Trip With Vineyard Lunch And Wine Tasting

Excellent guide. Paola. She went above and beyond in helping us w an issue completely unrelated to the tour (our lodging) and was concerned enough to follow up to ensure the issue was resolved. We enjoyed the trip to Civita. It was a beautiful old city. Pienza was also a beautiful town with lovely shops and scenery. We were able to take a picture from scene of Gladiator movie. The farm was big with wine and food for sale. We were fortunate to sit w a manager of the tour service. He and his partner were nice to provide more insights to Italian cuisine and wine. As to the wine tasting, it really wasn’t as expected. While they served food w 4 types of wine, I expected more of an explanation of how the wine was to taste along w what food we were served. Food amount was satisfying. Cheese, meats and pasta. Pasta was fresh and they offered a good amount. I just wish more information, except for the year of the wine, was provided.

The guide spoke English well enough to where I could understand; she was informative, proud of her Italian culture and country, was funny and honest, and caring, always counting and making sure no one was left behind after a stop over. The best tour guide we had on our 15 day trip to Budapest, Vienna, Venice, Ortisei, and Rome and the most fun tour! Would recommend this tour to friends and family. This was a fantastic day trip! It was well organized and made great use of time. Our guide, Marilyn and the driver Marc, were fantastic. We saw so much of the beautiful countryside. Our lunch was good and fun at the family owned farm and trattoria! Our stops in each town were amazing. One of my favorite tours yet! If you only have a day and want to experience a little taste of Tuscany and Umbria, this is the tour to take!

Trip was so worth it! Was itching to get out of Rome and experience Tuscan countryside and this was perfect! Got to see beautiful Pienza and the serene ghost town that may one day soon disappear unfortunately. Lots of gorgeous views, plenty of time to take pictures and visit in shops. The “hike” was a bit steep but my husband and I are not cardio people and we survived and loved it and would do it again. So if you don’t have mobility issues but don’t like hike - there’s enough time to take it at your pace it’s not that bad - go for it!! The food and wine was delicious!! Bus was long but beautiful views and most of us napped during the beginning and end. Maybe bring headphones or book if you are easily bored. Mario was our tour guide and Mustafa was our bus driver. Mario was fantastic with time management (the pacing of trip) and offered to take our pictures! Mustafa was great - we left our bags in bus and he took care of them and navigated traffic really well.

We had a very memorable day with Mario on our trip to Tuscany. He was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating. Our driver Mustafa was also very professional and made sure we got where we needed to go on time. The lunch and wine tasting experience was amazing. Highly recommend and would definitely use them again.

Tuscany is at its best when the day feels effortless, and this tour delivered exactly that. From start to finish, everything went smoothly without the slightest stress over transfers, directions, or reservations. A special shoutout goes to our fantastic guide, Mario! He set the tone right from check-in in central Rome. Throughout the journey, he was warm, knowledgeable, organized, and shared great context while keeping the vibe completely relaxed. The itinerary is brilliant: Civita di Bagnoregio: Walking across the iconic pedestrian bridge into the "dying town" perched on the cliff was breathtaking. Having free time to wander the quiet stone alleys and take in the panoramic views of the canyons made it truly special. Winery Lunch near Montepulciano: An absolute highlight. The rustic lunch at the family-run winery was incredible—fresh pecorino, prosciutto, salami, and bruschetta, followed by delicious handmade pici pasta with traditional aglione sauce. The three paired wines were fantastic, and finishing with Cantucci and Vin Santo was the perfect sweet touch. Pienza: A postcard-perfect Renaissance hill town. The honey-colored streets and sweeping vistas over the Val d'Orcia are stunning, and the hour of free time was just right to browse local food shops and soak up the slower pace. We returned to Rome in the early evening with camera rolls packed with gorgeous views and great memories of delicious food and wine. If you want a seamless, scenic, and authentic taste of the Italian countryside, ask for Mario and book this tour!

Overall this was a great experience. Mario, our guide, was excellent. We saw amazing places throughout the day! Mustafa, our driver, was great at getting us out of traffic. The stops were just long enough. The only thing that can be improved is the comfort of the transport.

This was one of the best day tours I’ve ever been on! All three stops were so special and cool, and the winery was such a highlight! Our guide, Marilyn, and our driver, Marc Anthony, were so fun and good to get to know! I’d highly recommend this tour to anyone interested.

Definitely sign up for this! What I didn't know was the Pienza stop is right by a couple Gladiator movie scenes. Far walk though for the wheat field scene.

Mario was great, informative and entertaining. Could skip the last stop, the 15 minute stop at the Truffle store. Multiple buses there at the same time, store crowded and hectic with people and products and store employees. Not a relaxing end to a calm day.

Wow! What an incredible day. Guileano was an awesome guide, and so knowledgeable on the places we visited. The bus was very comfortable, the group size was small enough to really enjoy each part of the experience, and the views were absolutely breathtaking. The lunch we had was absolutely delicious and they were so generous to accommodate my partner who is gluten and dairy free. We would highly recommend this tour if you are in Rome for a few days but would love to get a taste of Tuscany. We’re so glad we took the time for this experience.

Mario was our tour guide and he was excellent! Very informative and made sure to point out the points of interest and history along the way. Civita was by far our favorite place. It’s absolutely gorgeous and worth the hike along the bridge. The lunch was very good and we had a fun time chatting with the people in our group. In Pienza, Mario recommended we try pecorino gelato and I’m so glad we tried it. It was my favorite thing we ate and I wish I had gotten more of it!

Our guide for the Mario was fabulous. Also our coach driver Fabio made the day comfortable and enjoyable. Had a great day in Tuscany.

The bus that was reserved for the number of people in our group was too small. The seating in the very back was very cramped and uncomfortable. We were sitting shoulder to shoulder and up against the walls of the bus. We were unable to use out seatbelts and were unable to see the scenery out guide was pointing out. Sent in a complaint to the tour company with poor response and no solutions.

The first part of the tour was great! Civeta was well worth the trip, had ample time to walk around. The wine part of the tour was a disappointment. Tried a few wines but had rarely any refills and you got just a tiny bit to taste each time. Compared to other wine tours I've been on, id rate this a 0. Too many people in the dining room at once, host had trouble trying to get everyone settled so she could talk to explain the wines. We didn't see any of the vines or get explanations of any of the grapes or types of wine.

Giuliano was fantastic, informative, and so kind! He shared so much great information with us along the way, made directions clear, and gave great recommendations at each spot along the tour. 10 out of 10 would recommend this tour and Giuliano as a guide to anyone! It was a full day of so many great views and we hit each location at what seemed like perfect timing for there to be smaller crowds. The atmosphere was relaxed and we were able to make the tour our own during the free time at each location.

Our tour guide Marko was great. The two villages were beautiful and lunch was nice.

The walk to Civita was strenuous. The guide warned the group in advance, and that was very much appreciated. Paula, our guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the area and was very informative. The stop at Montepulciano was very nice as well as the lunch and wine tasting. Pienze was also nice, but not as much to do. Overall, a very enjoyable day and experience.

I thought that the trip was an amazing one. The stop at the city at the top of a hill was remarkable and it was not as scary to walk over the footbridge as I thought it might be. Views were exceptional. Our guide Mario Hudid a great job. Would highly recommend!

This trip is exceptional. The journey to Tuscany is a truly remarkable experience Our guide offered interesting history & guided well. The lunch at the winery is very good with the wine tasting & the history of the property. The scenery is spectacular & comes highly recommended as an excellent day trip
