Absolute gem of a guide and it was just the four of us plus him so really a great evening. A wide variety of stops with stories and samples. Highly recommend a food tour
I took the Trastevere food tour with Ilaria this morning and it was fabulous! Ilaria was super knowledgeable about the food as well as the neighbourhood. The tour itself was extremely well balanced and it flowed really well from tiny sweet treats through savoury to dessert. Each place we visited had character or something unique about them. I was pleasantly full of delicious Roman food by the end of the tour. Thank you Ilaria!!!
Our guide Luca was excellent and took us to try many delicious places. I would highly recommend him in the future!
We thoroughly enjoyed the eating tour. Our guide Ilaria was great. The selection of food was delicious and she gave us really interesting information about the origins of the food of the region. Don’t eat very much for lunch if you go on the evening tour, you will be so full by the end!
Alessia (apologies if I've misspelled the name !!) was an incredible tour guide. She guided us through Trastevere with ease, and was so passionate about informing us of local foods, as well as what to avoid! I really enjoyed listening to her share the culture and traditions of Trastevere, especially because you could see how much it meant to her to share it with us!! Thank you, Alessia for your service and your time with us!
Great way to explore the Testavere area! Our lovely and knowledgeable guide took us to several stops to sample pasta, pizza, gelato, etc. Fascinating area!
This was a great experience. Mauro our guide was local to the area, knowledgeable abour the food and the area and more importantly was really pleasant to spend time with. The food selections were very varied from biscuits to pork to pizza, all really good. Included a sit down for pasta and finished with some lovely gelato
Great guided tour by Luca. Really gave tiu a taste of different foods of Rome as well as a feel for the vibrancy of the Trastevere area. Especially like the cookies and the prochetta was delicious . The pace was unrushed and leisurely
Alessia was a great guide taking us to authentic Travestere places to eat. A great experience in the early evening
We really enjoyed this tour. Our guide, Luca, was great giving us a lot of back ground and local information throughout the tour. We were all definitely very full by the end of the tour but, somehow, we made room for the gelato! This is a wonderful way to try places you would not otherwise know to go to.
Our guide, Almo, was excellent. She combined history and food preparation details. She has a sense of humor and her English is very good. We were very lucky to have just four of us on the tour. Bring your appetite! Food was delicious!!
Guide was engaging. Food tour was fun.
Wonderful end to our first day with a great guide in Mauro. Lovely walk to explore the neighborhood and local foods to try everywhere. We definately did not need dinner after!
What a fantastic tour. Roberta was wonderful. So knowledgeable about local food and took us to the best places. She made the morning so fun and interesting. I would highly recommend this tour.
This was an incredible tour of the area and the food. Our guide Alessia was amazing. She had expert knowledge of all the delicious food and restaurants we tried. We loved all of it and were full by the end.

Mauro was our guide and he was fabulous! All the food was amazing and delicious! We learned so much about Trastevere from Mauro!
Ilaria was the best tour guide ever!! So so sweet. She ended up giving the tour in english and italian. 100% recommend!!
Great walking tour of the area and food!
We had the best guide. Her name Llaria. Very sweet, very knowledgeable.,we loved all the food and what really liked was we had her all to ourselves. I would definitely recommend GetYourGuide to family & friends. Thank you Llaria.
We met Ilaria as planned. Great to be part of a smallish group. We visited a bakery, suppli shop, pizza, Porchetta and pasta in local travestere restaurants before finishing off with a choice of gelato. All brilliant choices if a bit of a carb fest! We also had a beer, some red wine and white wine as we went round. A really good way to discover the area and a bit of exercise while eating. The rest of our group were American so some good chat as well. Ilaria was a great host giving us lots of info on the foods, local recipes and customs.
Luca was terrific. Personable. Told us all about what we were eating. Foods were not unfamiliar but each had a Roman twist to make them special. And they were little establishments making their own specialties. Plus Trastevere is such an interesting neighborhood i wouldn't have gotten to on my own. Worth every penny.
Our guide, Ilaria, was excellent. So enthusiastic. The food was all fabulous and gave us a real taste of the local cuisine. Would thoroughly recommend.
Excellent tour! Friendly guide. Great food! I would highly recommend it. The food was delicious. Lots of walking to discover Trestavere!
Our guide Allessia was very informative. She provided information about the various foods we sampled including origins, variations, and ingredients used. She was very friendly and made our group feel comfortable. The only food that my husband and I did not care for was the pasta carbonara (too salty).
We had a fantastic experience with Laura as our guide! We booked the small group tour, but ended up being the only people on the tour that morning. My husband and I were travelling with our 9 month old baby, and Laura paced things very nicely for our family. She took us to local spots in Trastevere that we mostly wouldn’t have found on our own, and where the food was of a very high quality. The porchetta with a glass of wine was the highlight for us, though everything was delicious. We also enjoyed hearing a bit about the history of the city and food we tasted along the way. Highly recommend this tour and Laura as a guide!
Very informative. Great Connector Very knowledgeable Stefano was awesome. Would highly recommend!!
Very informative tour with Alessia. The food was great and our group had a great visit during the dinner.
Mauro was a wonderful guide. He had a great sense of humor, was friendly and shared interesting insight into Trastevere history. Our 3 hour tour was well worth the money. The Gelato was the most amazing flavors. If in the area, please take the time to book it and come hungry!
Stefano was the best!! Had a wonderful and educational time with great food.
We had a great time on this food tour! Our guide, Ilaria, was so sweet, knowledgeable, and made the experience really enjoyable. We learned a lot, tried tons of delicious food, and definitely didn’t leave hungry. Highly recommend!
We had a great time, tasty local foods from authentic local restaurants (not tourist traps). Our guild Ilaria was delightful and informative.
Our guide Veronica was very knowledgeable about the city and the food. We really enjoyed sampling a variety of delicious food in Trastevere with our small group of seven. All were fun and engaging. Thanks for a great time!
Our guide Luca was wonderful. From the beginning the meeting place was clearly marked. We went with our mother who walks slowly and he was kind enough to accommodate her pace. He was wonderful with her - very considerate and caring. He brought us to great local places serving authentic Roman food which we wouldn’t have known if not for him. In addition, he also pointed out interesting places and historical facts especially when we toured the Jewish quarters . Book with Luca Nash! He is wonderful! Llewelyn
Great food, great portions, great guide (Luca)!
Such an incredible experience, from the wonderful group we were fortunate to meet to the amazing food and drinks and we were lucky to have the best guide, Ilaria! She was knowledgeable and shared so much information that we felt like we had become experts in Roman history and food preparation by the end of our tour. She was also a genuinely beautiful person. We would recommend this tour to everyone. Thank you Iliria for a wonderful evening, you are a great asset to your company.
