Rome: Trastevere Food Tour With Local Food & Wine Tastings

The experience was local tastes of Roma with the most delightful guide, Fiorelle! She knew how to introduce so many exquisite tastes & special places in Trastevere - how lucky we were to have her experience & joy of food on our tour!!

Alessia was lovely. The food stops were special and delicious. She gave us great suggestions and things to avoid.

We set this up with Gabriel, who was very helpful and accommodating. Our guide Luca was fantastic. Very knowledgeable about Rome's food history and brought us to some great hidden gem locations. My son and I had an amazing time!

We booked this not knowing much about Roman food. Gabi grew up in the area and knew exactly where to go and why. We got to experience food from all over Italy and even got recommendations of where to go on our visit to Venice. The food was the best and everyone we met was kind and enjoyed sharing their food with us. This is the trip for real foodies. Nothing trendy or over hyped. Just were real people get their fresh food and enjoy! I would 100% recommend this tour to anyone wanting a real local experience!

We had a fantastic food tour of Rome with Gabi. He has an exuberant personality, and an in depth knowledge of and pride in neighborhoods and cuisine in Rome. He took us to a wonderful food market where we sampled all kinds of foods typical of Rome, along with other stops. We had so much fun tasting everything and meeting and spending time with Gabi. Very highly recommend him!

Ours was a very small group. Just my wife and I. Our guide Manuela was very well acquainted with the area we were in and was able to give us a very detailed tour of the part of the city,Trastevere. She was personally invested with the area and the store owners to give us a uniquely personal experience.

Great guide, Manuela is knowledgeable about the history and the culture. The tour taught us a lot about the region, not just about the flavors and the delicious food of Rome.

This tour was recommended to me by my colleagues back home, and they were absolutely right! This was by far the highlight of our honeymoon in Rome. Luca was our tour guide and he was personable, knowledgeable, accommodating, and fun. He made sure to watch out for any food allergies, but also catered to specific food items we wanted to try (my cassata that I cant find ANYWHERE at home!!). If you want hidden gems and authentic Italian and Roman food, this is a must-do experience. Even outside the tour, Luca recommended local places for us to try, and every single one was a hit. We even returned to the market to purchase some of the local goods we had the chance to try. I would do this again and again if I could!

The food tour was a great way to start our trip in Rome. Luca was great and knowledgeable about the area, food history. We truly enjoyed it and would do it again. If you have a few hours and want to taste amazing food don’t hesitate to book.

We had Luca for this tour and he was really excellent. Gabi had advised him if our peanut / nut allergy and Luca tailored the tastings to ensure that our person had as many tastings as possible whilst keeping as safe as possible. We tried 20 year old balsamic, pizza, focaccias, suppli, wine, truffles, cannoli, granita, coffee and a few more, ending with gelato. Luca gave us much more of his time as he should, he shared his knowledge, what life is like in Rome and was charming and professional throughout. Highly recommend both the tour and Luca.

My girlfriends and I do one trip per year together. We love to do our small reunion trip as we all live in different countries and this year it was Rome. Apart from its beauty on every corner the big reason for us to choose Italy was FOOD!!! We booked a tour with Gabi and it was the best night of our trip! He listened to our wishes, accommodated to individual needs as one of us is vegetarian and another one is gluten free we are not an easy group to please :) But the selection of tastings and Wine was excellent and suited all of us perfectly! He even showed us a gelato place with very innovative flavours - so experimental! We loved it and 100% recommend:)

Tour in the heart of Rome made with passion. We tasted the best specialties of the neighborhood: pizza in a pan, supplì al telefono, and exquisite gelato while strolling through the enchanting alleys of Trastevere, where it is not difficult to still find people gathering in front of the bar to play cards. Through anecdotes, stories, and glimpses of neighborhood life, we spent an unforgettable afternoon. Highly recommended.
