Rome: St. Peter's Basilica Skip-the-line Entry Ticket

Extremely Disappointing and Unacceptable Experience Viator completely ruined what should have been a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I booked my skip-the-line ticket to St. Peter’s Basilica weeks in advance, only to discover that no QR code was provided. I tried desperately to contact customer service, but received no help and never got the promised callback. I traveled all the way to Italy for this experience and was devastated that I couldn’t use the ticket I had paid for. This is absolutely unacceptable. Viator took my money, failed to deliver the service, and left me without support when I needed it most. Do not trust Viator with experiences that matter to you. A company that cannot deliver a ticket or provide basic customer service does not deserve its customers.

Excellent- everything worked perfectly and smoothly. Highly recommend to purchase the skip-the-line tickets for the fastest way to enter the basilica.

Very difficult to find the entrance. Instructions were not clear. Need to be more specific on where to go

The ride was great but, in the tour where it states what’s included, it reads “gelato” and we didn’t receive no gelato,

The tour director told me to meet at St. Peters Square. That's it! St. Peters is bery big and many people. I called Viator wjen I got there and were not able to help. I asked the vendor for a refund since I wasn't able to use the tickets since the omves they sent me did not have the required QR code. What a mess and a mistake. I difn't skip the line but waited in line like everyone else. I still have not heard back from the vendor!

We arrived at meeting point as directed after receiving several confirmations and reminders. When we got there, along with about 50 other people, we were notified that our tour had been canceled. Very disappointing as this was our only opportunity for this tour and could not find other options.

The Vatican Museums are a true treasure, and the Sistine Chapel is something you must see at least once in your life. I was amazed from beginning to end.

It didn’t happen… waited with others , checked voucher and received my sticker to go in and it was cancelled as museum was closed . All last minute

I just showed my voucher on my phone to the host at the green meeting point. No need to print anything. The host exchanged our vouchers for the actual tickets and we were off. The whole process was digital, fast, and modern. Great for tech-savvy travelers

Our entry was scheduled for 10:00 AM, and the host was there at 9:45 AM ready to go. They explained the security rules (no big bags, shoulders covered) before we reached the gate, which helped us breeze through the metal detectors. Very well-coordinated service that respects your time.

We saw hundreds of people in the 'general admission' line that didn't seem to be moving. With our host, we had a specific time slot and were prioritized. The transition from the meeting point to the Gallery of Maps was seamless. It’s a small price to pay for a much better experience.

By booking this timed entry, we didn't waste any energy standing in the outdoor queue. Our host was very professional,he gathered our small group and navigated us through the voucher exchange process in minutes. We entered the Sistine Chapel feeling fresh rather than exhausted from waiting.

Make sure to be at the meeting point 15 minutes before. The host was punctual and the process was very quick. The Sistine Chapel is a dream!Would definitely book this again!"

AVOID BOOKING TOURS THROUGH VIATOR AND THIS TOUR OPERATOR!!! We showed up for the tour, checked in with the guide (Charles) and stood in the rain for an hour only to find out we couldn’t go into the Museums or the Sistine Chapel. The tour operator told us to come back the next day at 4:30. We did. Then found out the chapel was closed. They said we could tour the museums only or cancel and that cancelling worked best for them. We told them we wanted to cancel and left. I tried to cancel via the tour operator (was contact with the guide via WhatsApp) and Viator. Neither would process a refund and said the service was provided. So not only did I waste 2 afternoons, I’m also out a lot of money. Take my advice—book early and directly with the Vatican. These operators oversell and tourists get the shaft. I would give this negative stats if I could.

I want a full refund. You sold the ticket but Vatican museum and sistine chapel was closed on November 01. You should know that automatically. I had to find out after I went to Vatican in person.

Tour was cancelled a few hours before and I’m still trying to get a refund. They sold me a tour on a day that the museums was closed and didn’t tell me until under 24 hours so I couldn’t cancel the tour. Disgusting customer service use a different service.

This is a scam, the guide never show up nor answered the phone, i lost my money and no one solved my issue, lost one day out of my country, uber, etc. The worst

We were worried about the crowds, but this ticket with host helped a lot. Entry was fast, and we avoided the confusion at the entrance. Inside, the Vatican Museums were incredible, every room full of art and history. Ending with the Sistine Chapel was the perfect finale.

Highly recommend this! It saved us a lot of waiting time, and the host made sure we were well-prepared before we entered. The art inside is overwhelming in the best way. You could spend hours just walking the museum halls. And when you reach the Sistine Chapel,wow. It leaves you speechless.

This was my second time visiting the Vatican, and using the timed entry with the host made a big difference. It was more relaxed and organized. The host gave us tips and pointed out what to see first. Don’t miss the Raphael Rooms. They were stunning!

My host cancelled on us 1 hour prior and left us without tickets. It was awful. We came all the way from another country to have them cancel with extremely little notice

This was an incredible experience, with this ticket we could enter literally every single place inside the vatican. we stayed there for more than 2 hours exploring without any problems. First we met a host that gave us the ticket and guided us to the security check up. we didnt wait no longer than 5 minutes because we skipped the line! and then we went directly inside another country in 5 minutes. it was a memorable experience.

Our tour guide Eslam was fantastic! He brought us right to the entrance and gave us all the details for a successful visit.

I gave 1 star to further the can, but if I could, I would have given 0 stars. Because I've been ripped off: 75€ paid for 1 adult and 1 child. No one showed up at the time and place of appointment. I contacted via the chat, where I received a reply that visitors could not continue. So I literally can't give stars and they don't deserve them. I had adapted my whole day to this appointment, so I would have better let other visits continue at this time. I'm having trouble getting my money back and so I don't recommend anyone to use this service. My first and consequently last use of this service. They are crooks!!!
