Rome: Skip The Line Tickets: Roman Forum And Palatine Hill

Because of Lines at two stops we were too late forum and couldn’t use tickets. Both driver and I tried to call but could not get through-busy signald

This company was well worth it! Because of them, we were able to slip the long lines of people at the Vatican ( because there are..) and walk right in to go wherever we wanted! It allowed for more time not only to enjoy all the sites and make for great experiences, but allowed for us to utilize the best possible times for all our plans!

Disappointed in this tour. Booked this tour because of the early start time of 9:00 am. Was contacted by Ali the day before to push back arrival to 11:10 am. Had to call Ali because guide still hadn’t arrived by 11:25. Finally entered the tour site at 11:45 am. Was not able to spend adequate time on the tour due to another commitment in the afternoon. The only good thing was skipping the line. We felt that this tour was unorganized and not worth the money. Would not recommend.

Mazi and guide tour were friendly and knowledgeable. Definitelly will recommend whatsinitaly tours. Easy to book.

Not good. The guide did not show and Viator has not accepted to reimburse us. The guide , by the name of Ali, stated when questioned by Viator, that we did not show up! It could not be more disappointing and frustrating. You simply are powerless.

They were organized and very kind throughout the process. Very honest and trustworthy and connected w us the morning of the tour to make sure we understood everything.

The most significant aspect of this tour was the guide. She was cordial, professional, informative. She covered a lot of territory, geographically and historically. These are not inexpensive tours, but they are worth the price if you want to hone in on the details which are not provided in a self-guided tour. Our weather was awful, and the walking can be a challenge. So, wear good footwear. We opted for this tour one day and the Colosseum the next. For seniors with limited energy, we highly recommend, as there is a great deal of walking uphill and downhill.

The guide was very good. However the company itself was terrible, dishonest and disorganized. They sold us tkts for a time that didn’t exist. We had to wait for an hour and a half to join another group and got shorted on the informative tour as a result.

This appears to be a bait and switch. I booked this tour because we had seen the Colosseum enough, wanted to focus solely on the history of the Forum and Palatine Hill, and because the tour promised a max number of 15 people. Instead, Ali took us to Crown Tours, told us we would be part of one of their large tour groups (25 folks if not more) visiting the Forum and Colosseum, and then disappeared. The tour itself was basic and the guide spoke mainly about the Colosseum. The tour in the Forum consisted mostly of moving to a few spots in the center area with the tour guide pointing randomly at a various ruins and buildings while keeping up a stream of trivia and non sequiturs. You can do better.

The guide didn’t show up. We got a partial refund but still very disappointing. This was not worth the money.

In the future I will book through a tour company directly as this tour was not an organized stand alone tour and the original tour company Whats In Italy Tours sold our tour to Crown Tours. We were asked to join an already in progress tour but had to wait for an hour and then had to join yet another group as our original crown tours was still not ready for us to join them. I will always just book with an original tour company as Viator should be reviewing and verifying these tours they advertise.

Ali called us 45 min before the tour and told us to go to another tour operator and ask for Kosta at Crown Tours. We arrived early but Crown Tours didn't have a tour for us and didn't know of a tour we could join. They kept saying ' no problem' but there was clearly a problem because we waited 45 min to join an already tour in progress. We were then told we couldn't use the headsets to hear the guide because we weren't on the tour, only joining the tour so we could enter the Roman Forum. The forum is very crowded and it was impossible to hear the guide unless you were standing next to him. We left the tour and told Ali of the situation. He offered to refund part of the ticket but has not done so. Viator refused to give us back any money because we had taken the tour in their opinion, We had entry but no tour! I would never use Viator to buy tickets again but instead would go directly to a tour company. Ali is just a middleman and dropped the ball completely on this. Viator was not helpful in addressing our disappointing tour. Buyer beware!

We had a great time during this walking tour in downtown Rome, it was a lovely guide, humble and fluent in English . We visited Spain steps Pantheon and fountain Trevi . Street food and gelato was awesome . I love it and highly recommend

Really fun (literally, he was funny!) and entertaining guide. Kept the pace going, managed the kids wonderfully and answered any and all questions. Very intelligent guide. Really enjoyed the day with him!

Ali surprised us by going an extra mile for his customers. We were late to our tour, but he made it sure we don’t miss the beauty of Palatine Hill and Roman Forum. I’ve been all over the world and this was the best tour I’ve ever had! My experiance was from Sept 2021 when I was traveling solo across Italy for 3 weeks and the last leg of my trip was Rome - mainly because of the Colosseum, I wanted to save the best for last and this has been on my bucket list since I was a little girl. So you can imagine my excitement - which that morning quickly turned to frustration as their was a big Marathon in the city that ended close to the Colosseum. Gates and police every where restriction normal paths to enter into the Colosseum due to the marathon and after 20 mins of trying every which way to the entrance upset l I called the tour group number for help. Not only did they send someone to come find me and guide me where I needed to go it was the actually CEO of the tour group. Minutes after my call I was greeted by a polite Man with a big smile. He was sympathetic to my obvious frustration and was so kind and patient. So much so he offered to upgrade my ticket to the arena and palatine hill package tour. That alone was generous, because that particular tour didn’t start for another 30mins we chatted over coffee and a beer at a nearby cafe while we waited. I listened to him talk about his story and his genuine passion to show people Rome through his company, he listened to my talk about traveling. Was a pleasant conversation and he insisted on paying. He then guided me to the group and signed me up , I didn’t have to do a thing. He coordinated with 2 different guides to make sure I had a smooth transition from Colosseum to palatine hill (which I did) all because you could see he simply cared that my experiance was positive. . . and it definetly was! Thank you Ali, for going above and beyond. I’ll be back! Ciao !

We booked this tour adding alsothe Colosseum. We really love spending our time with the guide ASmr that showed us the very hidden secrets of this ancient building. He took us in such an amazing experience, telling us about the history and architecture in a very singular way. In addition, the whole staff was very kind and lovely. Highly recommended!

Vatican Tour Great Stuff I was delighted to see there was an organised tour based on the book. We were only in Rome just for a couple of days I hoped it would give me a chance to see all the key sights in the book and was not disappointed. The guide was great- really enthusiastic about the story, informative and happy to share a detailed wider knowledge of Rome. it was a highlight of the trip for both of us. The guide advised us lovely restaurants. Italian food and wine. great experience, I'd definitely try one of the other tours offered by the company next time I'm in Rome.

Our tour guide (Zenda) was very knowledgable and interactive with the group. We learnt a lot we would have missed otherwise. Also it was well organised would definitely recommend if you are interested in ancient Roman history.

Last week I did a fantastic tour of the forum and the palatine with Camilla, very prepared and professional, the tour was very fun and interesting, Camilla is very friendly and friendly and made the experience very pleasant! I would repeat without a doubt!

Alessandra B. took us through the Palatine and the Roman Forum in French and English. In both languages she gave exciting historical facts and stories to the best - equally fantastic in both languages. Whether the French couple had a question or us, both received the answer and explanation in the respective language. More than 2 hours Alessandra explained all the historical monuments in detail. Even pictures (how the houses looked at that time) had them with us so we could introduce it and better. Furthermore, she was extremely friendly and accommodating. (always asked if we needed anything, toilet, water or if climbing stairs is fine for everyone) We can only recommend Alessandra!:-)

I purchased a guided tour of the Colosseum and the Palatine and Roman Forum. After an initial mistrust, due to the fact that the tour was proposed to me and sold in the street for 30 € I had to change my mind. Great correctness and attention to hygiene rules, great competence of the guide and also a lot of availability. In essence, an experience to be repeated for visits to other parts of Rome.
