The small group and guide was a difference maker in learning much more than I would have from reading a guidebook or studying. Francesca made the tour fun and informative.

Our guide, Frederica was very knowledgeable about Circus Maximus and the Caracalla baths. We learned a lot more than if we had just walked around the sites by ourselves. She also made recommendations about where to go next in Rome which we did as we walked back to our accommodations.
Tour guide was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. It was amazing to see the all the tile work. Had a great time!
We learned a lot about the Circus Maximus and the Baths of Caracalla. We definitely would not have appreciated either place as much on our own.
Not a lot of crowds. People seem to skip this amazing complex but rhey really shouldn't. It's truly a wonder to behold. Our tour guide was fantastic. She answered all of our questions and even provided my wife her fan when she saw hit hit we were in the sun. She was excellent.
Samuel gave a great overview of the baths and era that Caracala ruled in Rome. Very fascinating ruins.
Great tour- very informative and just the right amount of time to see 2 less popular, yet amazing places.
Learned a lot. Guide was fantastic and very knowledgeable. Caracalla baths is now one of my favorite sights in Rome - quiet, and uncrowded.
Our guide was very knowledgeable on both the baths and circus maximus. We could understand his english Very informative.
It is a great place to visit. The name Caracalla bath is slightly misleading. It is not just a bath but a great community centre in ancient Rome with Bath, library, jym, shopping complex, meeting rooms , garden all in one place. A great place to visit and hang around .
V knowledgeable guide. The baths of caracalla are awesome and huge and you really need a guide to understand what you are looking at as well as the history.
Ernesto (sp?) was an awesome tour guide! He answered questions and gave great detail of the bathhouses and its history. He pacing was great too, he walked slow enough to not rush the tour and talked slow enough for us to understand. Would highly recommend this tour for anyone.
Our Tour starter early as everyone was on time. The Tour operator was great. Very informative and friendly. He even spent extra time answering all of our questions. Our tour went about 30 minutes over which was nice. I would recommend this.
The Caracalla baths was an amazing experience !!! Having never been to visit them before, it was truly a magical visit to see them.
Mario was timely, informative and funny. Highly recommend. The baths were interesting and the area is beautifully managed.
By golly, do not be 5 minutes late for this tour! Said they tried to call me, but strangely no missed calls or texts to my number. Then they wouldn't tell me where to meet up with the tour. Can't help but wonder if there even was a tour. Viator was no help in claiming a refund. Most disappointed in them for not supporting their customer who has booked many tours through them over the years.
Manola was a great guide. Very knowlegable and entertaining. I would highly recommend.
Great tour and Fabio was very knowledgeable and professional. Did not feel rushed and provided us with a great tour experience.
My wife and I were the only ones on this tour. The guide came a long way just to take us on this tour. The guide provided us a considerable amount of history about the structure and purpose of the baths. This was one of my favorite tours in Italy. While it may not be one of the most historical places that tourists might want to see, like the Coloseum, it was less crowded, and a great experience because if the "personalized" tour. I highly recommend this. It only takes a couple hours but the amount of history revealed makes it a great tour.
Such a great tour! Our guide was so sweet and very knowledgeable. I have been to Rome before and I had never visited the baths, they are amazing. So interesting and beautiful mosaics
Very informative tour. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and provided us with an extensive explanation around both historic venues.
Fascinating history, the real history of Rome. Lars, our tour guide, knew so much, the details that you can’t get with just the site views.
Lars was very informative throughout the tour. He has a friendly and relaxed approach to his tours which made it easy for us to ask questions.
A must do in Rome! Very close to all the other tourist sites but much less crowded. VERY impressive. We had a great guide, Sam. He gave a great history lesson and told some interesting stories. You go right inside and you cal feel the size of these huge ruins
That Giorgio knows his stuff and is an excellent fellow. Well planned route that maximised the opportunity at Palatine Hill, the Forum and indeed the Collosseum.
A very worthwhile tour. Guide was incredible! Learned a lot; saw a lot and enjoyed seeing this massive wonder!
This tour was occurred outside in an open field area. At 8:00 a.m. it was pouring rain and there were severe thunderstorm warnings issued by the weather service for Rome for the entire day.The weather warning stated to use extreme Caution for the day due to thunderstorms. I contacted Viator first thing in the morning. We would have had to leave the hotel by 8:30 AM in order to be at the meeting point on time. I told the Viator cust service rep that we needed someone to advise on whether the tour was canceled prior to our leaving the hotel. They could not help us because the office of the travel guide didn’t open until 9. Cust serv rep thought that since there were threats of thunderstorms that the tour could be cancelled. So we opted to not take an Uber to the pick-up location with the anticipation the tour would be cancelled.. At 11:30 AM we were advised we were not approved for a refund.. I believe the refund request was appropriate as it would not have been safe touring in an open field with thunderstorms overhead, and considering we receivewd an "Caution" weather notification.
Very good tour guide passionate about her subject but disappointingly short piece in Circus Maximus. Would have like to go into the site
The tour guide was so knowledgeable about everything the baths the circus maximus we learned so much
This tour is 90% baths and, rightly so, less time at Circus Maximos. Tour guide, Robin with Tori’s, was pleasant and super knowledgeable and took time to answer any questions we had. The baths were amazing!
Our family were the only participants. We really enjoyed visiting and learning more about the Caracalla Baths. Its incredibly well preserved. The guide was great — she provided important context and history that made the visit fun and educational. There were maybe 5-10 other visitors at the site, while there are thousands of tourists at the Colosseum down the street. This site is a hidden gem.
This tour was short for what it is, about 15 min looking at circus Maximus (from outside the railings) and 1 hr 15 min at the baths of caracalla. Feel like this could be done without a tour guide, using an audio guide and reading the signs at the sites. The tour guide was funny though.
The tour guide Gabriel is a Doctor in Archeology, which we could definitely tell after he explained to us so many facts and details regarding the history of these therms as well as the Circus Maximus. He is very nice, and an excellent professional. We really enjoyed this tour and we highly recommend it.
Great experience with a knowledgeable guide who made the trip memorable. The Baths of Caracalla was breathing with a rich history. Loved every moment of the trip.
It was a quite interesting tour. A hidden gem. If you are looking for an easy going tour and want to escape the crowds, I highly recommend it.
I thought this tour was very interesting and worthwhile . I have been to Rome before but had never visited these sites . I thought it was wonderful . The only reason I’m not giving it a five is because our guise was a little hard to understand but he was very nice n helpful .
Baths of Caracalla were outstanding. Our tour guide Sarah was knowledgeable and engaging and we were so happy we went!
Unfortunately the trip was cancelled early due to the very heavy rain, but none of this was Lorenzos fault, he was great. He is a passionate and knowledgeable guide who was able to give us a history of Romes founding years and the Circus Maximus. C
Our guide Sara was knowledgeable and entertaining. It was a reasonable distance to walk and there was a lot of information given. We really enjoyed this tour!
Donatella was knowledgeable and thorough. Very much enjoyed learning from her. She was patient with our questions and helpful with recommendations.
I had unrealistic expectations of this having just visited the Colosseum. The partial walls are there but the largest mosaics are recreations.
Our tour guide to the baths of caracalla was excellent,we first went to circus maximus then a short stroll to the baths of caracalla.our guide was informative and knowledgeable not just about our excursion but also mentioning some of the artifacts from the baths of caracalla in the museum in naples (also a must see if you get to naples).many thanks to our tour guide
Caracalla baths left me speechless. The scale of the baths was way bigger than I thought, and all the preserved mosaics were impressive. Our guide was very pleasant and seemed passionate.
Very interesting and the tour guide made the experience meaningful. I enjoyed learning about the baths.
Don't miss out on this tour! Really interesting sites with a lot of good information from the guide. Terme di Caracalla is a big site, really nice to visit and not crowded at all.
It was incredibly interesting, our guide was very informative We were very lucky in that it was just us
Fun energetic tour! Weather was lovely and guide was enthusiastic and a joy! Location was beyond lovely and unique
The Caracalla Baths are astonishing. They were so huge, and lots of the building and mosaics have survived since it was built in about 212 AD. Our guide, Manolo, was excellent. She explained what each section of the baths were used for, and what they provided for ancient Romans. She was very knowledgeable about Roman history, and welcomed our questions. And there are no crowds at the Caracalla Baths !
Our tour guide Anestis was very knowledgeable. We especially enjoyed the Baths of Caracalla portion of the tour, where we spent the most time.
Interior of the complexes which with our excellent guide came to life ! Very educational. Next time we shall do it in VR
