Roberto was very knowledgeable on this subject matter and we really enjoyed the information that he provided and the sights he took us too.

The guide Roberto was so knowledgeable and gave us such a wonderful tour. I definitely recommend doing this tour and request Roberto if you can. Learn so much about the churches and fountains. Loved it!
Roberto is an excellent guide with very deep knowledge of Rome and it's history, the people and the landmarks. On this tour we visited majestic fountains and learned so much about aqueducts and the importance of water to this civilization. We also had the opportunity to visit sights with "fallen angels" and learned the stories about their fall from grace. All in all we visited a combined 12 locations including Basilica of Saint Mary of the Angels and Martyrs, Fountain of Moses, Santa Maria della Vittoria (containing one of Bernini's most famous works ~ the sculpture “Ecstasy of Saint Teresa) and Fontana di Trevi just to name a few. This tour ranks amongst the best we have taken. Highly recommend to gain a deeper artistic and historical perspective of majestic fountains and fallen angels.
We were so fortunate to have Roberto as our guide. His knowledge and gift for story telling turned every visit into something truly wondrous. Simply put he has the ability to integrate faith, art and history seamlessly into his presentation leaving one in awe and wanting to learn more.
Our tour guide Roberto was amazing ! So knowledgeable we learned so much . We highly recommend. Loved that it was just 4 of us. We had a wonderful day learned so much ! He spoke perfect English. Highly recommend this tour!
Roberto, our tour guide, was amazing. He took us to so many fascinating churches and showed us several fountains. He pointed out features in every place that most would never notice. We are so glad we did this tour and would recommend it, especially if you don’t mind walking quite a bit. It was wonderful.
My favourite thing I did in Rome. Roberto was a great tour guide and curated a wonderful experience. The best part is the places we went weren’t overrun with tourists (like most other places in Rome) and we go to take our time and enjoy the beauty of the fountains and churches. Roberto was so knowledgeable and apart from the great info he gave us he was able to answer our specific questions. I found the history he said really engaging and I had a wonderful day exploring and learning. My fav was the Baroque Church where we ended the tour. It was really stunning, fabulous and OTT (as were most of the churches)
What a joy. After three weeks in Rome we finally met a tour guide with real depth, critical thought and a desire to take visitors beyond the usual suspects. Really a must for anyone who wants to dig deep into Rome. We are ready to join more of his tours.
I can’t recommend this tour. The guide asked to meet at the train station by the statue. That is a huge area. When I arrived there, I wrote to ask for specific directions. He didn’t reply, or look for me. So I started wandering around looking for him. He did not wear or show anything to identify himself or the tour. When I finally found him, he did not smile or welcome me. He did not smile once on the tour. He walked and talked too fast. He was hard to understand. He kept checking his watch. I was the only guest, and I dropped out of the tour after 1.5 hours.
Roberto was great! He was VERY knowledgeable, friendly and professional! We had a great time! We thought that this was almost as good as seeing the Vatican! And a LOT less crowds! We highly recommend this! The Church of the Santi Apostli was what I went for and it didnt disappoint! REALLY beautiful and we got to see the tomb of James and Phillip! GREAT TOUR It is a lot of walking but worth it!
Our guide Roberto was excellent ,very knowledgeable and patient and knew his stuff ,would most definitely use him again ,Took his time to explain everything we wanted to know .
Genuinely interesting tour covering multiple beautiful and fascinating churches and fountains that have not been on any other tour itinerary I have done. Tour guide Roberto was knowledgeable, respectful and happy to answer multiple questions. The tour itself was unique, with me thinking I had seen all of the major sites in Rome and the only duplicate I had was the Trevi Fountain. Recommend if you can doing the evening tour so you can see the big surprise in the Jesuit Church. I did the morning tour so had to live with pictures
Roberto is an excellent guide with a huge breadth of knowledge and information. The tour introduces you to some hidden gems in Rome as we as the more well known places. Would highly recommend the tour and Roberto.
Roberto was an excellent tour guide! He was actually THE BEST tour guide we had throughout our entire stay of 4 days in Rome. I would highly recommend Viator and Roberto. He gave us a very comprehensive tour - 11 miles from our hotel through the city. He was very knowledgeable, easy to understand and showed us places we would have never found on our own! Roberto also had a lot of enthusiasm, was open to questions and discussion. Our group of 4 rated this tour as a 5+ Star Tour!
Well I was not too sure what to expect from this tour but boy what a pleasant surprise. Roberto is a great guy and very knowledgeable. He showed me some unique and peculiar sights that I would have never seen on my own. I am glad I took this tour!
Hi to all. First of all, I want to say that there was a big problem from the very beginning. We did not find the guide at the indicated address, although we arrived early. Since we did not have internet on our phone, we could not contact the tour operator. We had to return to the hotel, we wrote to the operator and within 10 minutes he called us and indicated the exact meeting place. Roberto turned out to be a polite young man who gave a great tour, overall we are satisfied. It's a pity that we lost 30 minutes of our time due to the inaccuracy of the specified meeting place and a lot of nerves, because it's a pity that every minute is wasted in such a majestic city. Thank you Roberto for the pleasant communication in English and your delicacy and smile.
A memorable, well-orchestrated experience led by Roberto. His knowledge of Roman and church history is extensive. We learned a great deal and now have a better foundation for future visits to Rome. So many beautiful sites … but the grand finale was Church of the Gesu.
Great tour. Very nice idea. Roberto was super nice and we visited places that we have easily missed otherwise. We are very happy we took it.
For active adults, this is an amazing way to see the city. Knowledgeable and friendly guide. We loved the walking tour!
The best tour in Rome. It requires some walking, but provides an excellent introduction to the area of central Rome. Roberto did a wonderful job of allowing for both an in depth enjoyment of the many churches and fountains, but also keeping our group on schedule for the tours we had booked that afternoon.
I found them through Tripadvisor but was very happy with the find. Roberto was extremely prompt, professional and very accommodating to my pace of walking and also need to take pictures. I wish I would have discovered them earlier, I would have booked all my tours with them. Oh well, may be next time:)
This was already the second tour that some friends and I did with Roberto. We visited many beautiful fountains and churches and learned about their historical background. Simply amazing how many of these places I would have just walked past without ever watching or entering. Big thanks to Roberto for his attention to details and the relaxed tour at all.
Each time I am in Rome I concentrate on certain attractions; this time I decided to pay more attention to not so well known fountains and churches. There are more than 2000 fountains in Rome and needless to say, I cannot see that many... Seeing fountains without a guide was not good enough because I missed lots of highlights and it was due to lack of knowledge. So, this time I decided to book an organized tour "Fountains and Fallen Angels" which took place on January 28, 2020. It was memorable, unique, new to me. This particular guided tour was informative. My guide was Roberto who was well prepared, detail oriented and for me it was very important - it was a learning experience. Roberto's tour (itinerary) is well designed and certainly off the beaten path. This tour is not formal, in a way quite unique; it lasts approximately 3 1/2 hours. I recommend to book Roberto's tour ("Fountains and Fallen Angels") because it is not standard or routine.
I booked this tour for me and 3 friends, its very private unique experience. Once again thanks to Roberto, our guide, he adjusted program according to our needs (with stops to eat and coffee), also gave us a lot of useful advice's. We particularly liked stories we herd, they were interesting. Anyway very nice afternoon, spent in calm movement with little bit of history, much better than classic tour and definitely worth the money.
Interesante visita, que te lleva a lugares no tan turísticos, pero igualmente interesantes de Roma. Las visitas al pequeño oratorio de San Ignacio de Loyola y la Iglesia de los 12 Apostoles, me sorprendieron muy gratamente.
Walking through Rome is a fantastic journey in itself, every step you take is discovering the past that is still present in its buildings and spaces that blend with modernity.
Excellent passionate guide who does tours on interesting themes like here the Angels. To recommend, it adapts very well to the need of each small group like ours (breaks, etc..)
We spent a week in Rome with Roberto and booked almost all his tours. It was an unforgettable and individual experience. Roberto introduced us to the holy city in perfect timing and with high professional knowledge. The Price quality ratio is top. You are travelling in small groups of up to five people and even get tips from Roberto for your own explorations of the city or restaurant visits.
After the good experience with Prof. Lautenschlager with the first lead, also this second lead absolutely met expectations. The route was not so unusual now but apart from the successful thematic structure, there was something new for me to learn at each station, whereby Prof.Lautenschlager knew how to clarify the contexts. Absolutely great!
Already the second tour with Roberto and it was again incredibly exciting. Absolutely recommended if you are looking for a tour with high quality. I've had a lot of tours in Rome, but Roberto's are always really unique. I'm looking forward to the next tour.
The tour of the city was a real experience for me. Roberto showed me wells and angels with a lot of background knowledge, which I probably noticed only because he showed them to me. Especially as a German-speaking tourist it was pleasant to have a native speaker as a guide. We'll be back!
