Rome: Castel Sant’angelo Priority Entry Ticket

Make sure you fill out the form completely or you won’t get your tickets. Customer service is very good at helping with fixing problems in a quick manner!

This was a fantastic activity. This booking allowed us to walk straight through without waiting. There was room to move once in the Castel, it wasn’t over crowded. The views were amazing. Highly recommend.

Easy access, and un-crowded space allowed for a relaxing tour of the castle to see the city from a different vantage point.

They actually deserve negative stars. I bought tickets online, went where they said to go to pick up the tickets, and no one was there so we didn't get the tickets. I've contacted them twice to get a refund and no response. Don't use this company unless you want to throw away your money.

This is a SCAM!!! Buyer beware! They don’t give you the ticket you have to pick up the tickets. There is very little line at castel even during peak hours. It would take more time to travel across the city 20 minutes to pick up the tickets from there pick up point. Plus it’ costs 3x as much than just going there and buying the ticket at the castel.

Office closed for a huge part of the day with tickets emailed at the eleventh hour. If you can find a friend to read Italian you can save the expense of this dodgy business front.

The directions stated you could pick up the tickets the scheduled day of the ticket. There was no time assigned to the ticket date. It just stated to pick up between 9a-4p. We walk to the pick up spot around 1130/12 and the man inside stated he cannot help us. he stated we would have to wait for his boss to come back to get the tickets. He stated he would be there very soon. So we sat there for 15-20 minutes waiting while this man just talked on the phone the entire time. We were frustrated and didn't want to waste time so we said we would be back. We went and got lunch and came back around 1330. The boss was back, however he stated he couldn't give us tickets, because it closes at 2 that day. We were confused since it said to come before 4p. Then he stated that the attraction is open to 7 and you could go there and try and get tickets in person. So we walk to Castle Sant'Angelo, wait for like 3 minutes in line, pay like a 1/4 of the price of the skip the line ticket that we originally bought and got straight in. They need to have a better system in place. They wasted a lot of our time walking back and fourth for no reason. The only good thing was they were able to refund us.

We actually never got to go to Castel D’Angelo. We booked for April 25th then got an email a few days before our trip to say the site wasn’t open that day and could we take a tour on the 26th instead. We already had another tour booked for the 26th and were leaving the next day, so we had no option but to say yes and hope to fit it in. However, we were at St. Peter’s on the 25th and walked along the river only to find Castel D’Angelo was definitely open on the 25th and the tour company had lied outright to us. We had been bumped for unknown reasons. We walked over to the tour office to request a ticket for the 25th but they could not change anything at that point. When the 26th rolled around, our tour that day was delayed by four hours meaning that we were unable to make our Castel D’Angelo tour. Do NOT BOOK WITH VIATOUR!!!!!

We bought these tickets in advance so we could visit the castel on a specific date that we would be in Rome. As we were walking towards the ticket collection point near the castel on the day, we were informed via email that there were no tickets available for that day and we could only get tickets for a different day, despite already paying for and having confirmation for tickets for that day. Recommend not booking through this company or app. Book direct or with someone else!!! We ended up with nothing to do that day, completely ruined the whole day in Rome.

i definitely recommend buying the skip the line tickets. the line was huge. by the time we were done and leaving (spending probably two hours there), there was still a really really long line and it was almost closing time, so they weren't going to make it in. the castle was pretty great. lots of history included by the exhibits. beautiful views from the top, art in many of the rooms, old weapons, even canon balls. pretty neat experience.

We loved Castel Sant'Angelo, but wished we'd booked a tour or at least audio headsets. There's so much to learn and without a guide I feel like we missed a lot.

The Experience was amazing seeing the history and the views surrounding the castel. Takes a good couple of hours or more to go around every part that’s open and to read each information board. Only downfall was the company we booked with via Tripadvisor. Hardly respond to emails sent to them, they did send our tickets via email saving us a long walk to their office and back which was the only good thing. They did overcharge us a good £20-30. As the tickets had the actual price on them when sent them. Never used Tripadvisor before so thought was a genuine ticket company that is linked to the attraction, but I think they just purchase it then send it to you, which if I knew I would have looked somewhere else.

Stressed out trying to get the tickets. After I had paid the money for the tour with Tour of italy which I could not cancel.I was told I had to collect at their office which would have been a forty minute return trip from Castle’santangelo . I rang them up from England and told me we would send me the tickets but only on requesting them by e mail 2 days before the date of the tour. I don’t mind going to the tour venue and validating the ticket but to go 40 minutes out of my way is ridiculous . I am on holiday not an a courier for my tickets. Then have to ask for my tickets again after I have paid for them. Happy days

Wasn't sure what to expect when I booked this tour, but I absolutely loved it. So much history in this building. Very cool building. The building and grounds are easy t tour and the site provides a lot of written information throughout. Probably my favorite tour in Rome. Also a bonus is the amazing views from the roof top!!!

You can as easily book the same tickets from ticketone.it with 13€ each. Lazy seller did not even add kids free voucher in the delivery and we still had to go through the counter. My mistake was falling into this scam. Don't repeat it.

Unfortunately, buying through Viator was a mistake. The communication was inconsistent and over priced. It was not explained that the tickets needed to be picked up at a third party location or that the What's App was required for communication. Then a last minute email came in that the tickets could be downloaded but they wouldn't download. We lost a lot of our limited time. Ultimately, the staff at the Caster office approved us to go in with their own tickets, which happen to be less expensive. I will never use Viator again.

Do not buy tickets. I showed up to receive my tickets and no one was there. I waited a little while because I’ve had a few tours that people show up late. I messaged the seller multiple times and called once with no answer and waited for 45 minutes, I tried to upload images of my messages but wouldn’t allow me. Staff pointed out different tour guides in front but none were the ones I purchased. I ended up paying more to get in. After I already paid and was inside the person tried to call me. I asked for a refund from viator since no one showed up and they said this purchase offers no refunds, I can understand if I didn’t want to go anymore or I didn’t show up no refunds but the seller didn't show up. This is absolutely disappointing in both viator and the seller of this.

I wish there had been more information available while I walked through the castle. Some context and color. Perhaps next time by a guide.

I booked tickets for Tuesday 19th April at 2.30….and the castle was closed…contacted your company was told it was closed today you could change my ticket to Wednesday told you no good as I was flying home to give me a refund….last thing I heard from you….I realise you may not have known it would be closed but I’d still like my £60 back

This service was easy to use and our contact was extremely helpful and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. Castel Sant’Angelo itself was incredible! We joked that it is a Roman history sandwich, all the way from the ancient times until the present. Wonderful experience. Be sure to go up to the roof for the best views of Rome.

Everything was gine, except we didn’t have a guide and it wouls be more interesting with guide of course.

I got a great and personal service from Alex (Viator team Rome), thanks to him We came on time to Castle Sant'Angelo, we didn't have to wait to get in. The Castle is amazing, you can have an espectacular Rome's view from there. I really recomend to make reception for any tour with Viator team Rome, ask for Alex, he will help you to get all the activities un Rome.

Fantastic tour of castle/burial site with stunning 360 degree views of Rome. Highly recommend for families; be prepared to walk.

Ordered tickets in a last minute and it succeed. A bit strange was to see open slot for a booking and later knowing, that it can be an issue. But after all went pretty smooth and we got, what was promised.

The ticket sold by TripAdvisor does not work at the door of Castelo S’Ant Ângelo. We had to buy new tickets in the day and we paid 26 Euros.

Casteel is definitely recommended. But not at this price have paid 60 euros when they would be there together 26 euros via TripAdvisor is too expensive

Very cordial when I picked up my tickets. I was even given a ticket for the same day. I would have liked to have been told that they would send it to me anyway by email. It would have saved me an unnecessary race.

Ordered expensive ships the line tickets online. Those who sold did not meet outside Castello and were sent 1.5 km to an office that was closed. Asked for a refund and did not hear a pip. Pure scam!
