Rome: 6-hour Private Golf Cart Tour With Catacombs Visit

Our experience with Achille during our golf cart tour was exceptional. Had we not been in a golf cart and had Achille’s knowledge to organize our day, we never would have had the time to see all that we did. In addition, we learned so much just through his sharing the history of landmarks and some of his personal experiences in Rome. We talked about food, wine and many topics relating to how the Romans lived and learned throughout the years. This was truly a wonderful tour. Kudos to Achille!

Our tour was excellent, our tour guide was awesome! He was extremely knowledgeable and very passionate about Italy. We were able to see everything we wanted to see and experience. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone. If I am blessed to come back I would definitely book this tour again! Lorenzo was very kind and very helpful to us all. He answered any questions we had. He assisted us in and out of the cart when we needed help. He sought out our comfort. I can not say enough about how great our tour guide was and our tour. First rate experience. Loved it! Husband and I have been to Rome multiple times. This visit we brought out daughters and grandkids for their first visit. Our guide Eduardo was AMAZING. He showed us sites we hadn’t seen on previous visits. All the “kids” loved him. He took instagram pics for our granddaughter and entertained everyone with Rome’s history. Eduardo truly made it a fantastic and memorable way to see Rome in a short period of time.

Great experience seeing Rome our guide Eduardo was so knowledgeable we learned a lot of Italian history and his knowledge of the city streets was very useful to negotiate the busy main streets to avoid the chaos! We had plenty of time to spend at the sites and eduardo recommended a lunch stop highly recommend this golf buggy trip!

Great way to see Rome. Stopped at several locations to take photos, including the colloseum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and many others you don’t know you need to see. Eddie was our guide and was fantastic. He entertained us with great facts and was very accommodating with any requests we had. He even recommended the best lunch place we went to during our Rome vacation.

Had a fantastic time with Eduardo from Tour Rome in a Golf Cart!! We took our time at each of the main venues and were not rushed at all. Had a great lunch at Due Colonne Antica trattoria. Definitely recommend this tour if visiting Roma for the first time!

This was one of our favorite days in Rome. Valerio took us on quite a tour and added a couple things for us that we hadn’t had a chance to see. We saw much more than we could ever have done on foot and we saw some neighborhoods and back streets we never would have discovered in a cab. Highly recommend.

Golf cart is the way to go in 90 degree heat and a lot of ground to cover! Easy on/off the cart, a pleasant breeze as we drive, some shade, somewhere to sit and rest between stops, access to areas that a Van or bus can’t go as well as a local driver escorting you all around. Excellent lunch recommendation too. We really enjoyed it!

BOOK THIS TOUR! The golf cart tour made it so easy to get to the major sites. Our guide also took us down beautiful side streets and to nice places to get snacks off the beaten path. Achilles was a terrific guide! His knowledge was amazing! This tour was definitely the highlight of our vacation

Our family of four booked the 6-hour private golf cart tour, and it was more than perfect. Our tour guide/driver Achille picked us up at our hotel, customized our tour to fit our needs (historical sites and street food stops), zig-zagged through the city's cobblestone streets, and shared with us a wealth of interesting facts about Rome. I cannot recommend Achille and this tour enough. Thank you so much for such an unforgettable experience!

Excellent tour with an excellent guide! We visited all the main sights of Rome as well as experienced the smaller streets and byways to see the uniqueness of Rome and its architecture over the years. Ivano was extremely knowledgeable and interesting! Roberta handled all my pre/trip questions an planning promptly and thoroughly. As a disabled person I was able to see everything up close as I never would have on another tour. This tour, however is great for everyone! Highly recommend!

One of the best ways to take a tour. We covered so much in one day. We went at a pace that was suitable for us. Some sites we stayed longer as we were more interested, some sites we moved on quickly from. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly, he really tried to make sure we saw everything and we understood everything. The inside knowledge from someone who grew up here in Rome meant we got a deeper experience. All of us love the tour and had plenty of fun. This should first thing in the agenda for anyone visiting Rome

We did the 7 hour golf cart tour and it was Amazing!!! Ivano was so insightful and knows Rome so well. We were in Italy for almost 3 weeks and this was one of the highlights of our visit. We will never forget the day we spent with Ivano. I would give it 10 stars if I could.

This was AMAZING and well worth the money! Ivano is an incredibly spirited and knowledgeable tour guide that was a joy to be around. Without a doubt the best way to get an overview of Rome's history in a day. My wife and I were on our honeymoon and Rome first timers so this was perfect! We really enjoyed our golf cart tour of Rome with Driver’s Guide Service. We were fortunate to have the owner, Ivano, lead our group of 6. It was a fun day, beginning at 9 with a pickup at our hotel. He drove us through the historical center, offering commentary and stopping at several places that we would not have gone on our own as well as large sites like the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and Piazza Navona. We opted for the full day tour with lunch in a private home which was a lot of fun and a very good meal, too! After lunch, we continued our tour seeing the outside of the Colosseum, the Forum, Circus Maximus, etc before being returned to our hotel about 4:30. Ivano was a wonderful guide and was very open to what we wanted to see and where we wanted to go. Since we had scheduled an underground tour of the Colosseum for the next day, we opted not to get out there but rather do a drive-by. He is a lifelong Roman and very knowledgeable. We had 6 people in our group and the max he can take in one cart is 7. My husband and I have been to Rome many times but have never done a tour like this. The tour was my sister’s idea and worked especially well as my BIL is scheduled for knee surgery a week after we return home. They were able to see so much with no effort. It was super fun to be (literally) carted around from place to place. I’m used to walking a lot on trips to Europe,but have to admit this tour was the perfect way to give an overview to my sisters and BIL! Highly, highly recommend this company; with luck you might get Ivano and his adorable son who also gives tours.

We booked 2 full days with DGS, money well spent! Ivano was polite, knowledgeable, and passionate. We laughed and soaked up the history of the many places that we saw while with him! We dined like locals at the restaurants that he suggested and loved them all! The golf cart tour on day 1 was a blast, we were able to access many incredible side streets. We were just coming off of a cruise, he picked us up at the port managed our large amount of luggage, helped us with our apartment, and continued on for a fabulous day. This is the 6th trip we have spent with DGS hosting different guests, we would not book with anyone else. I would highly recommend DGS, Roberta, and Ivano!

This was the highlight of our trip to the Mediterranean! I am so glad that we booked this trip instead of relying only on the cruise company short excursions. We had an excellent day in Rome! Our driver, Onofrio, was very knowledgable and he shared the history of Rome as he drove us though all the highlights. We let him know at the beginning of the day what we were interested in seeing and he made sure it happened. We had lunch at a local market with so many options. Onofrio also took us to the best espresso in Italy. Not only did they have the best coffee (which I took home), but the most amazing baristas. When we told others on our cruise about our trip, they were jealous. We came back energized and full of stories with pictures, while most of our cruisemates who took cruise company excursions just looked exhausted after spending a whole day in Rome

We visited the beautiful city of Roma today with our guide Ivanno. He was knowledgeable, informative and knew every precise piece of history and culture throughout the city. He is very customer service driven and took very good care of us. We were able to visit Mamma Allegro’s for a home cooked traditional Italian lunch that was full of amazing food, Prosecco and Lemoncello and great conversation. If you are looking for a tour guide in Italy - look no further and book today. Our friends used Ivanno 4 years ago and recommended him because of their unbelievable experience — we are so glad they shared this gem!

There’s no way you could do as much as we did if you were on your own. Go to the tourist spots and beyond to get a true feel for how and where the Romans live. Hotel pick up in the golf cart with our perfectly Italian guide, Ivano. He has so much love and knowledge of the arts and city and we enjoyed learning it through his humour and personality. We were dropped off for lunch at mamma Allegra’s penthouse in the Jewish part of town - where she greeted us with charcuterie and Prosecco for us to enjoy while she cooked our pasta for lunch. Felt like we were invited over for a family lunch. Next we met up with Barbara at the colosseum for a 2 hour foot tour of it and the ruins. If you want to maximise your time, be entertained with the history and access parts of the city only accessible by foot, then this tour’s for you! It’s just unlike any tour with the personal touches. Special thank you to Roberta for handling the adjustments with our rebooking due to travel date changes.

The best way to see Rome!!. Ivano and Roberta were awesome… several times I switch my mind regarding what vehicle we would use, van or cart? ( ?? rain) … i flipped it back the morning of our tour as it turned sunny—- and they accommodated that request, no problem. Ivano was awesome, cheerful, engaging, and so knowledgeable of Rome. He clearly loves Rome and enjoys sharing it with all visitors… the golf carts were so comfortable ( I wished those seats were on our plane!!) My only regret is that we could not do the full day tour(time constraint)

What an AWESOME guide and a genuinely great person Ivano is! We hit it off from the start and laughed together the entire time. His plush golf cart is able to take us on a tour of the Rome attractions using quiet cobble stone alleyways, stopping to say hello to local characters without the traffic and parking issues we would have to deal with any other way of travel. In 7 hours we saw 10 times more than we would have seen alone in our car or in any other tours moving slowly in street traffic. Lunch with Mrs. Allegra was double AWESOME!... She welcomed us into her luxury flat filled with local art and history, and not only cooked us a the best Spaghetti and the fixin’s I’ve ever had, She let us watch how she prepared and added ingredients to make lunch such a treat! The cheese, wine, sliced meat, and bread were a perfect start to a perfect lunch! This part of our tour was worth every penny. It was our grand girl’s birthday who was surprised with a home made chocolate cake and the birthday song. Making memories for our family that came all the way from California to Italy with no particular plan is what it’s all about, and this really hit the target! Bravo Ivano!!!
