Itinerary
Piazza Navona, entirely covered in cobblestones, has an elongated rectangular shape. It features three fountains and an Egyptian obelisk. The particular geometry of the square is given by the previous Stadium of Domitian which stood in its place in the Roman period.
The Pantheon "temple of all gods", is a building of ancient Rome located in the historic center, built as a temple dedicated to all past, present and future deities. It is now a church and an Italian historical monument.
The Trevi Fountain is the most spectacular and largest of Rome's fountains, with a width of 20 meters and a height of 26 meters. The origin of the fountain dates back to 19 BC, a time in which it constituted the termination of the aqueduct, the Aqua Virgo.
The square is dominated by the magnificent, eighteenth-century Staircase of Trinità dei Monti, built in travertine by the architect Francesco De Sanctis. Defined as "the living room of Rome", and dominated by the Church of the Santissima Trinità dei Monti, one of the five French-speaking Catholic churches in Rome.
Piazza del Popolo is the intersection of three main streets of the historic center of the Italian capital, via del Babuino, via di Ripetta and via del Corso. Located beneath the beautiful Pincio gardens, this square was the main entrance to the city in Roman times.
Dinner in a typical Roman restaurant with a land starter (mozzarella with various cured meats), pizza or a first course of Roman pasta, cappuccino and tozzetto as dessert.
The Colosseum became the largest Roman amphitheater, with an elliptical structure 188 meters long, 156 meters wide and 57 meters high. Made of bricks and covered in travertine, it was divided into five levels with a capacity of over 50,000 people.
Located between the Aventine and the Palatine, the Circus Maximus in Rome was a stadium with a capacity for 300,000 spectators. Its sand track, 600 meters long and 225 meters wide, made the Circus Maximus the largest stadium in Rome, more capacious than the Circus Flaminius and the Circus of Maxentius.
The entire square is approximately 340 meters wide while the ellipse has an arc 240 meters wide. The ellipse is partially closed on both sides by colonnades made up of 284 columns and 88 pillars. On the balustrades at the top of each colonnade rest a total of 140 statues depicting Catholic saints.
Campo de' Fiori was built in the area in front of the Temple of Venus Victrix, perhaps the temple's stalls, and its name derives from the presence of a vast flowery meadow, as well as vegetable gardens, which adorned the square in the fifteenth century.
Piazza Farnese is one of the most elegant squares in the city, aristocratically isolated and dominated by two large fountains that lead the gaze onto the building which has been home to the French Embassy since 1874.
The square is dominated by the Vittoriano, one of the Italian national symbols; three monumental buildings surround it on the other sides. The oldest is the fifteenth-century Palazzo Venezia, which gives its name to the square and which is home to the national museum of the same name.

Consider it to be a must do - best way to see Rome, especially if you have a guide like Oanofrio…he was wonderful!
Amazing!!! We had such a wonderful time and the night was full of unexpected adventure. The food and gelato was fantastic and our tour guide was full of knowledge and educated us on all the sites. Would recommend to anyone wanting to see hidden gems of Rome.
Onofrio was a great guide! Clear, knowledgeable, happy to answer questions. Start point easy to arrange and find (if staying outside of city centre pick up zone), very accommodating drop off site. Very respectful of golf cart rules. Lots of great photo opportunities, including Roman Forum and view of Rome at sunset, and Colosseum and Trevi fountain after dark. Excellent meal, included appetizer (bruschetta), choice of pizza or pasta off menu, and non-alcoholic beverage. Then 2 scoops of Gelato from a great place. One of my favourite Rome tours, definitely recommend.
Guide was great. May need to use a sound system for people in the back.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
This was a great introduction to Rome on our first day. Our guide, Lorenzo, was GREAT! His knowledge and personality made the experience even better. And he speaks flawless English.
Great way for an introduction to Rome. Onofrio was so knowledgeable and very informative. The restaurant we visited wasn't my favorite but the tour itself was great.
Ask your guide questions. Also, be open to conversation with others in the group. There were three other people in our group and helped each other take pictures. At the end of the tour, we all agree that it made for a wonderful time!
Wonderful guide. Showed us so much of the city and all the hidden gems. Enjoyed a tasty dinner and topped off with some gelato. Seeing the colosseum at night was a whole different experience.
Excellent tour. The golf cart tour was a great and fast way to see so much of the city. Our tour guide was excellent as well.
No time to step out and take photos. Felt like was rushed. We had to ask to stop. Did not get to see St. Peter’s square. We had a good dinner but we had to share plates with a family. Would have preferred my own plate with tasting. Probably would not choose this tour again
This was our best tour experience ever. Our guide was quite knowledgeable about the history of Rome and spoke very clearly and concisely. We went to all the fun places in Rome and had the best dinner and gelato. I totally loved the experience and my kids had a lot of fun too. I will recommend this to friends and family.
Evening Golf cart tour with my husband around Rome. We visited all locations as noted on the itinerary except vatican Did not enjoy tour guide nor experience. Did not allow much time for pics.
This was a great way to see all the sites of the city. We really enjoyed seeing some of the sites lit up such as the Colosseum and Trevi fountain. It was really hot so being on the golf cart really saved us a lot of energy. It included a restaurant stop and a gelato stop. I can say that the pasta they gave you at the restaurant was the best pasta we’ve ever had in our life. They gave us a mix of appetizers as well. Some of them we loved and some of them we didn’t because they had had seafood in them and we didn’t weren’t aware. What item we wish they would ask about is what you want on your pizza. We got a pizza with mushrooms and olives and artichoke carts which we didn’t like any of them. But all in all, it was really great experience with great food. Our tour guide with very knowledgeable his name was Onofrio. One thing to be aware of is if you have an anaphylactic allergy to bees, there seems to be a lot of bees, outdoor dining in Rome. If I knew that I would’ve asked to be seated inside. They did move us inside, but I was a little nervous the whole time I was eating because of the amount of bees. Spending a few days in Rome we’ve noticed this all over the place. It wasn’t specific to this restaurant
If you want to experience the magic of Rome without the exhaustion of walking 25,000 steps a day or the claustrophobia of a crowded tour bus, booking a golf cart tour is the ultimate way to go. Our guide brought Rome's rich history to life with fascinating stories. Food taste of Rome was great, loved the pizza and one of the best gelato! Highly recommended!
We had an amazing time on the Rome by Night Golf Cart Tour! Humphrey (for Italian name!?!?) was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about the city. He took us through charming streets and to breathtaking sites that we never would have found on our own, while sharing fascinating history and local stories along the way. Seeing Rome illuminated at night was absolutely magical, and the golf cart made it easy to cover so much without the exhaustion of walking. The pizza and gelato were a fun bonus, too! This tour is absolutely worth the value and ended up being one of the highlights of our trip! We would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to experience Rome from a different perspective.
This trip is perfect if you want to get to learn Rome before deciding which sights and places you want to visit. It gives a good orientation of the city, parts of its history as well as a few hidden gems (such as the view from Monta Verde in Trastevere). It was a wonderful time riding around Rome with Onofrio as our guide! I can recommend the ride even during warm days since it gets cooler in the evening and the minicar is open to let in the wind. Onofrio had a lot of experience and could tell us a lot about different parts of Rome, the history of neighborhoods and palaces alike.
Very informative guide in Onefrio. He did a great job informing us on the history of all the sites visited. We would highly recommend this tour and this guide.
We loved our evening golf cart tour with Onofrio! He did a wonderful job of showing us the highlights of Rome. He was engaging and very knowledgeable about the city and its history. Onofrio was a 5 star tour guide!! I gave 4 stars because the food at the restaurant where we had the arranged dinner was not at all appetizing. In fact it was the first meal I’ve had in Italy that left me feeling poorly. Overall, however, it was so fun to dart around Rome in the evening learning so many interesting facts and history. It’s something you could definitely do more than once!! Great way to start your stay in Rome or to recap all of your adventures! Grazie Onofrio!
This tour was the highlight of our trip. The operator is so knowledgeable and gave us a ton of information about the area. He was sensitive to my husband's hearing issues and spoke clearly to him so he was able to participate. It felt as if we were with family!
We loved our tour all over Rome with Onofrio. He shared a wonderful historical overview of the city and provided insight at each stop. We learned so much and had the opportunity to see so many amazing spots around Rome. The Italian dinner and gelato was such a nice touch. Highly recommend this tour for families with kids. It is a great way to get around the city and see a lot. The evening tour was fantastic. Highly recommend.
Onofrio our tour guide was excellent! We learned and saw more in four hour than in days of other tours. And dinner was awesome plus gelato.
Very informative , on time , great service and an amazing time with my family. We enjoyed a delicious meal and gelato also.
Really love this tour. Got to see so many sites in such a small amount of time. Our driver was exceptional and friendly and knowledgeable. He was very patient and accommodating. It's a great idea to do the golf cart. There's a lot of flexibility and where it can go and what you can do. The restaurant at flower square was really good in the atmosphere was nice. Also, the ice cream over near Trevi fountain was good. If you go get the cherry it's exceptional.
Amazing…. Enjoyed tremendously! The experience was so nice it was us and another couple and our tour guide took us to some great spots!
Wonderful knowledgeable guide. The best way to see Rome with less stress on your feet. Nighttime views were beautiful. Highly recommend
The guide Onofrio was talkative, and informative. He took us to many highlights of Rome; the time spent at each stop seemed short. The pizza, pasta, and gelato were excellent! If going in cool weather it’s hard to get photos through the plastic weather protectors he uses at night, but happy he has them.
This was a great tour Onofrio was very knowledgeable and showed us all of Rome’s highlights. Dinner and gelato also provided a nice break. The Colosseum and Trevi fountain at night were beautiful. Thank you!
Wonderful tour with Onofrio! He was a wealth of knowledge and really gave us a great tour. Would go again for sure.
The tour was absolutely amazing. Our tour guide Onofrio what the best that we could have possibly gotten. The ability to make the ancient history come alive was evident in every word that he spoke. I highly advise this trip, especially with Onofrio, for anyone who wants to experience Rome in a beautiful and unique way.
Fantastic at night! What a city! Well educated guide who spoke excellent English and knew each and every inch of the tour!
Mr. Onofiro (apologies if I misspelled your name) was an excellent guide and took us to a lovely little restaurant to dine like a local, included. Rome is very pretty at night. Note that he DOES pick up from your hotel as long as it's in the area of old Central Rome. If you don't see your hotel listed for pick up, call the number he provides upon confirming your reservation to let him know your hotel. Another very considerate feature of his! Was a great experience, Thank you!!
This was a fun way to see Rome. Everything is more beautiful at night and we were able to see all the sights. Our driver was very informative explaining the history of each site. The meal was perfect with a sampling of three different pasta dishes and three different types of pizza then Gelato later. Highly recommend this tour.
Being picked up at our hotel made it so easy, especially since we just arrived in Rome a couple hours earlier. We saw so many great sites and our guide was helpful and easy to understand. Loved the small group experience because he was able to easily answer questions and give more or less info based on our interests. The dinner was more extensive than expected and so delicious! Rome is beautiful at night and this tour was worth every penny!
These was a very nice and also educational trip we learned things we would never had known about Rome had we been on our own. I would recommend this to anyone. The food was excellent and the gelato was great as well I would recommend this to anyone.
An excellent to view the city and many of the historical sites! Our guide Onofrio was a wealth of information, advice, care and humor. With a golf cart ride through traffic you experience Roma closely, and with all the sounds and smells of the city! Restaurant for dinner was delicious, suppli, pasta, and pizza! A final stop for gelato to top off the evening! Very good tour!
Rome by golf cart gives you a personalized experience of touring Rome. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about Roman history. The pizza and gelato topped off the night. Highly recommended tour.
Rome itself is beautiful, with a knowledgeable guide it becomes an adventure! Even my fussy husband agrees it was the best excursion in Rome!
This was a great experience, especially for your 1st day in…just to kind of relax in the golf cart and take in all the views. He stops at great locations. You get to get out and take some pictures. Lastly, you get a pizza dinner with ice cream! Don’t hesitate to book.
We had an absolutely amazing golf cart tour in Rome! My wife and I truly felt like celebrities as we cruised through the heart of the city, taking in all the incredible sights. Our guide was terrific—knowledgeable, friendly, and full of great insights that made the history come alive. The ride can be a little bumpy at times (Rome’s cobblestone streets!), but that just added to the charm and authenticity of the experience. This was the perfect way to start our visit in Rome, and I honestly can’t think of a better way to see the city. Highly recommended!
This tour was one of the best I had arranged in my stay in Rome. Humphrey our tour guide was knowledgeable and told us information I had not know or heard from previous tours. The sites he took us to were from a different perspective of sites previously. The restaurant for dinner was special in that the food was good Italian food.
Beautiful way to get an intimate view of the sites in Rome. We viewed the Colosseum, many squares and fountains. The weather was perfect.
Highly recommend this! Guide was great. Food was good. And the history amazing. A little rain didn’t stop us.
Amazing comprehensive tour of Rome.. The tour operator was so knowledgeable and gave an incredible tour
We really enjoyed out night time golf cart tour around Rome. The dinner was delicious and gelato was superb. We loved seeing Rome and it's attractions lit up at night time - especially the Trevi Fountain light show. Guide was fabulous too!
Our guide was wonderful, he went way above what we expected - everything was perfect - restaurant was just amazing, great food, every place he took us he explained with love
Onofrio was wonderful. Very knowledgeable. We saw so many sites that were not even on the itinerary. We had issues trying to get to the Spanish steps, and he really had to detour around to get to them. He was only able to get a block or so away, and would have let us walk from there and wait for us. We did not make it to see the Vatican at night, but the area was completely closed off for the Jubilee. The evening meal was amazing, and it was great to have this as part of the tour. This tour is more expensive than other evening tours, but with the meal, it was well worth it. It was also nice to get a break from the golf cart.
We had just flown into Rome that morning. After a quick nap, we were ready to get out and explore Rome. This was the absolute perfect way! Our guide Onofrio was so knowledgeable! What an amazing and fun way to start seeing the sights of Rome. Plus the food and gelato were excellent as well!
Great way to get around and see most of the attractions in a short period of time. We took the tour in the evening and enjoyed seeing the night lights.
Guide was very knowledgeable, friendly, & willing to customize the tour. Meal was excellent. Would recommend to see the sites of Romr
