Rome Walking Tour With Pantheon, Trevi Fountain & Spanish Steps

We did the tour yesterday and were surprised that entrance to the Pantheon was free because of the holiday. We thus got a 10% refund.

Our guide was great! She shared her enthusiasm for the city she loves. Answered questions, and took the time to get to know the group.

Very enjoyable walking tour with Haitham who was very knowledgeable and guided our group through very busy Rome effortlessly. We spent the right amount of time at each spot to get plenty of photos and learn the history. Also took us to a couple of places not on the tour including a most beautiful church we would never have seen on our own. The free gelato was delicious. This tour was a great start to our amazing stay in Rome. Thank you Haitham for a great tour.

Mirko did a wonderful job showing us some of Rome's treasures. His knowledge was extensive and informative. And the gelato treat was delicious.

We have done 5 tours through Viator on our trip to Italy and this was a great one. Luca made this standout because of his passion for Rome and his desire to make it a memorable experience for us.

Our guide was very good. We were very disappointed that we were unable to go inside the Pantheon which was one of the reasons that we chose this tour. Our tour met at 9:30 am on Sunday morning on October 18th, 2026. If visits are paused until 12:00 PM every Sunday, then our entry inside the Pantheon should not have been on the itinerary. We should not have been charged for entry into the Pantheon or we should have been given an entry ticket for another time.

Our guide, Luca, was very knowledgeable, offered helpful advice, and encouraged us to ask questions. He made the experience even more enjoyable with his expertise and friendly approach.

We did the walking tour from Piazza Navonna to The Pantheon and inside. Luca was our guide and was absolutely fantastic. His knowledge, like all the City Wonders guides we have experienced was amazing! We highly recommend this tour, Luca doing any tour and City Wonders for sure!

Sam is an awesome tour guide! Very knowledgeable and clearly loves his work. He showed us a lot of things on our walk we never would have seen! Definitely ask for Sam and totally worth the time to do this walking tour!

Fantastic tour with an outstanding guide! We really enjoyed our Best of Rome walking tour, and Fabio was genuinely one of the best tour guides we’ve ever had. He was knowledgeable, engaging and enthusiastic, and made the history and sights of Rome really come alive. We also really appreciated the use of the audio headsets. Being able to hear Fabio clearly at all times, even in busy and crowded areas, made such a difference and meant we never missed anything he was explaining. The walking tour was really pleasant and informative. Francesca was an amazing guide, providing very interesting information throughout as well as tips on good places to eat.

This was an excellent tour. The group was not very big which was fantastic. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable about the entire area we traveled through. We also liked the fact that each person was given a head phone and a recorder that we were able to hear the guide no matter how far ahead od us she was.

This tour was a great intro to the city. The city was extra busy due to an accident at the Colosseum so unfortunately we weren't able to go inside the Pantheon as planned. However, Maria did an excellent job making the best of the situation and we were refunded a portion of our fee and offered gelato near the Trevi Fountain. The tour was great and I definitely recommend it.

The tour guide never showed up. Unfortunately it was a big disappointment. However Viator promptly provided a refund.

Only okay. Not the guides fault but lots and lots of tourists made the walking tour a challenge for all including the mobility challenged members of our group. Guide was kind but only slightly interesting in her constant banter meant to entertain. She seemed bored quite honestly.

Did the 5 pm Walking tour. Luca was very good about keeping the group together through the crowds. Very knowledgeable on the statues in Piazza Navona and the Pantheon. Kept us engaged by asking questions. Loved the small pieces of information like the meaning of the different flags on the buildings.

Great walking tour across Rome to all the major sights. Piazza Navona, inside the Pantheon, the Trevi Fountain, and the Spanish steps. We also stopped for a bathroom break and a scoop of gelato! Perfect for the warm temps! Our guide Luca was amazing, very informative and had a great personality- consider yourself very lucky to be on one of his tours!

Luca made our walking tour experience very good! He is knowledgeable, experienced, engaging and pleasant! It was scorching hot in Rome that day and so it’s very appreciated that he made sure we stayed in shaded areas as much as possible! We saw the Rome landmark highlights such as, Piazza Novona, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps. The gelato and bathroom break was very much appreciated during August hot weather. Overall, I highly recommend this walking tour.

We had a fabulous tour with our Egyptian guide. He's clearly passionate about what he does. Although it was really hot, he made it very entertaining and interesting. It was a very insightful tour. To top it off, we got free gelato.

Absolutely wow! The sites were incredible, the 5pm timing was smart to avoid the summer heat, and the gelato was delicious. But I need to talk about our guide Fabio. He was absolutely spectacular. He was EXTREMELY informative but balanced the education with an extensive amount of humor. This man knew everything about everything from the name of the water spouts to the precise date of literally everything. We even learned about the drama between famous sculptors! You think you’re going to learn something? Get ready. You will learn so much more than you ever thought about Rome. Fabio took such great care of us and with all that I learned, I feel like an expert on Rome. A huge thank you to City Wonders for the extensive tour communication before the tour itself, and a HUGE thank you to the man, the myth, and most importantly the legend Fabio.

Such a great walking tour at an easy pace. We learnt a lot of info without it being boring or just 1000 facts. Clarissa was great. Luckily we only had 1 obnoxious ‘merican in our group; who tried telling us all to NEVER drink the water… ugh. Great way to begin your Rome trip!

A good deal of walking involved but not too bad as most paths were shaded and mostly flat. Our guide Pamela was very informative and was great at keeping all of us together. Stops in the shade along the way to discuss the current and next stop was very good. Water at the Pantheon was the best and coldest.

It was a little disappointing that we were not able to enter the Pantheon on our tour due to and event which I understand that things are not always within the tour companies control. It was still disappointing. While our tour guide, Fabio, was very friendly and informative, he tended to linger too long in certain spots which caused us to runout of time towards the end of our day.

I strongly advise travelers to avoid this company. I purchased this tour for my entire group because it specifically included skip-the-line entry to the Pantheon with a guide. Access to the Pantheon was the main reason we chose this tour and the most valuable part of what we were paying for. Up until the last moment, we were told that the Pantheon would be open. However, when we arrived, the guide informed us that the Pantheon was closed. She also stated that no tickets had been issued because the company already knew it would be closed. We were further told that the Pantheon would reopen later that day, but the tour would not return when it reopened. Many members of our group were upset and requested a refund, as did other participants on the tour. Every request was refused. What is most concerning is that customers were not informed in advance. Had we been told before the tour started that the Pantheon would be closed and that no tickets had been issued, we could have cancelled and made other plans. Instead, we only learned the truth after arriving at the meeting point. Based on my experience, this was misleading and unfair to customers. I feel that important information was intentionally withheld to prevent cancellations. I would not book with this company again and cannot recommend them to other travelers.

Hisam was our guide. He did a wonderful job on the tour explaining not only the sites we visited but other trivia too. Was very aware of some of us getting tired and took good breaks to keep everyone motivated to go.

We really enjoyed the tour with Haitham! He was knowledgeable and friendly and packed in all the history and significance possible into a short amount of time with a little humor too. Great experience!
