In the heart of the most characteristic district of Rome, Trastevere, it is located in the basement of an 18th-century building, the Catina Fabullus. An underground cellar, obtained from the careful recovery of a cistern of the 1st century A.C., furnished with antique furniture that make this place unique. By booking this food and wine tasting, you will have the opportunity to experience an exclusive moment. During the tasting, served in an underground environment with over 2000 years of history, our staff will welcome you and tell the stories and origins of many Italian culinary delicacies. Prepare to immerse yourself in history and savor the best Italian culinary culture paired with rare and excellent wines, all produced with respect for tradition. Fabulous winery has selected for you the products recognized by the Slow Food* presidium from small artisans who preserve the tradition and history of Italian gastronomy while respecting the environment and biodiversity.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the wine tasting, and getting to see the beautiful wine cellar in person, especially the impressive wine racks stretching all the way to the ceiling, made it even more memorable. Such a unique experience and definitely a highlight of our trip. Highly recommend! Also, my husband who is NOT a winery drinker, left with a new favorite!! 10/10 experience!

Such a well decorated venue full of Italian deliciousness. Every pour of wine was exceptional, with lots of options to accommodate different palates. I found it impressive that our group consisted of Brazilian, Italian and myself and the hosts were able to go back and forth in three different languages. The taste pairings were amazing with flavours I never expected to experience. Bottles of wine are available for purchase too. If you're looking for something a little different, yet fully embraces Italian wine & cuisine, this event is for you.

Very elegant and insightful presentation. It was a very enjoyable experience and we would recommend it for anyone who enjoys wine and pairing it with different foods. Our only disappointment was that there wasn’t an opportunity at the end to buy some of the wines. But we thoroughly enjoyed the experience and the presentation!

What a wonderful time we had sampling wines, cheese and meats curated to maximize our enjoyment of each pairing. The sommelier and host were most knowledgeable about the origins of each wine which enhanced our experience. This is highly recommended for a short adventure before you explore the quaint alleys of the restaurant district.

The person who runs this was very kind, but talked quickly and didnt speak English very well. It was hard to understand at points and keep up with what she was saying for the background information or pairings. The aesthetic was very cool and it was smaller and more intimate. She attended to us well. She also made it clear that though she recommended certain foods to go with certain wines, it was more personal and flexible as to how we wanted to do it. I would say for someone who has been to Rome before or for a while, or who wants a more chill evening, this could be a good experience. If someone is new to Rome or has limited time, this would not be one of my top recommendations.

This was a wonderful tasting experience! We were hung up with traffic and ended up being a little bit later than the suggested arrival time, and the hosts could not have been more kind about it. We were shown to a table in a beautiful wine cellar room, with a spread already set out for us. They guided us through a classic tasting experience, explaining the wines and where they were from and what they best pair with. We got the option that did not also include a dinner so we had cheeses and meats along with fruit spreads and olives, but there was plenty there to fill someone up! We didn’t feel rushed at all, and the hosts were very kind and accommodating. This was a very nice, classic Roman wine tasting experience I would recommend to everyone!

A must do for wine lovers! Located in a beautiful wine cellar, this experience is very special and you feel like you've VIP treatment all throughout due to the cellar only having 5 tables. Ginevra & her team are very knowledgeable and a pleasure to host. It was a birthday surprise for my other half & we thoroughly enjoyed it. What a special time!

The experience was very good. We went with my father, whose birthday it was, and they treated us wonderfully from beginning to end. Very good menu and very delicious wines.
Also for the birthday they gave us a delicacy with a little candle. The truth is that I would return and I recommend it if you want to get out of the chaos of the city and live a unique moment.
