Rome Vatican Museums And Sistine Chapel Ticket

This was a horrible experience, and it makes me regret going to Italy. These people were mean. Please think twice before trusting your travel plans to the Vatican with this company.

For starters, they took down my review so reposting it here. One star across the board because we arrived and they did not let us go on the tour. We arrive before the time on the ticket and then they wouldn’t even give us a refund. Please do not use their service!

We were excited to see the Vatican. We arrived on time to find out our tour guide left early and there would be no refunds. Wander Wise provided no details requiring us to arrive early. They were rude and unhelpful. I wouldn’t recommend their services to my worst enemy. Thanks for nothing wander wise you scam people at a religious site. I’m sure Pope appreciates your acts of kindness.

We booked the Vatican Museums & Sistine Chapel priority entrance ticket with a host through Headout, operated by Wanderwise. This was not a guided tour. We paid around €160 for two people mainly for the fast-track / priority-entry service with a host, which made it considerably more expensive than a standard ticket. Our booking time was 12:15 PM. Because our train was delayed, I tried calling the operator several times and also sent a WhatsApp message at 11:14 AM, almost an hour in advance, explaining that we were on our way. Nobody responded. Despite the delay, we arrived at the meeting point at 12:17 PM — only two minutes after the scheduled time. We were simply told that the group had already left and that nothing could be done. Nobody tried to contact the host, check whether we could catch up with the group, or offer any alternative. I understand that the booking conditions advised guests to arrive early and stated that late arrivals may not be refunded. However, this was not a guided tour where an entire group had to stop and wait for us. It was a hosted priority-entry service, and we were only two minutes late after trying to contact them well in advance. What I find particularly unacceptable is that they kept the entire €160 despite providing absolutely no service, and no partial cash refund was offered either. Even a 50% refund would have shown some basic fairness and understanding. Instead, the full amount was retained. In my opinion, treating a customer this way over a two-minute delay, after ignoring their attempts to communicate, is extremely harsh and frankly felt heartless. Policies are one thing, but there should also be some common sense and humanity in customer service. We paid €160, received nothing, and were given no meaningful help at all. I would not book this service again.

Vatican tickets are so hard to find and this company make all the process easy and on point!

Everything went smoothly It was way too hot on the day that we visited the museums so to be able to skip the line helped us a lot

Love it! I booked two tickets with them. They will ask you to go in a meeting point where the coordinators delivers the ticket and help you pass security check and gives you the basic instructions to visit this wonderful piece of art! Really reccomand it

We booked the night before. The tickets arrived by email in the morning, an hour before our check in time. I would recommend arriving 30 min before check in to be safe. Everything was as I hoped and the Sistine Chapel was absolutely amazing.

It’s not a skip the line you still wait if you have a time so for next time I will be more aware of this

This is by far the best way to tour these massive attractions- there is just far far too much to see to have a tour guide or tour group to contend with. Being able to make our way through Vatican City, St. Peter’s Square and Basilica, the Sistine Chapel and viewing all the stunning art and inspirational locations on our own made our day very personal and special. Highly recommend!

They canceled our tour at the last second. We had to book another tour with a different company. I was shocked as we prepaid.

Got my tickets, the person responded quickly on WhatsApp with any concerns that I had had my doubts at first but everything went well.

The lines to the museum is very disorganized. There is no shade where the lines are so it was very hot. Tickets say skip-the-line but you still have to line up. You get stuck behind huge groups so it’s hard to move along the routes. Tickets are probably worth it if you go during non peak season and if you buy through the official vatican ticket site when they’re at a more reasonable price.

Having the skip the line pass was so very worth it, we really enjoyed going at our own pace. The only thing I would be aware of is how absolutely massive The Vatican Museum is , we didn’t expect for this to be an all day activity (our fault for not doing the proper research) . But just so others know as well!

We loved the family experience of seeing the museums and the Sistine Chapel! The kids were very excited about the incredible displays.

Getting skip-the-line tickets for the Vatican was the best decision! The regular line was crazy long, but we walked right in. The museums and Sistine Chapel were incredible, and we had more time to explore without feeling rushed. If you're going, definitely get these tickets – they make the whole experience way more chill!

Super good, we met and learned a lot about history thanks to the guide and seeing live what they taught us in school was spectacular.

Total disgrace. We received the wrong ticket and could not get in. And then we found out that we had been completely ripped off. We paid 70 euros per ticket, even though we could have bought one on-site for 10 euros. Total disgrace! Never again!

Wonderful experience in every way! From the organized entrance to the stunning halls rich in history, to the beautiful Sistine Chapel that leaves you speechless. Highly recommended!
