Donato our guide was amazing and really brought history to life. Learned so much on the tour and highly recommend.

Donato was WONDERFUL. He was knowledgeable, warm, attentive, engaging and funny. I can’t say enough good things about him! Anybody who can, should request him.
A huge thank you to Donato for his expertise on today’s tour through the Vatican with my younger sister, myself and our father. Our tour group was perfectly sized (5) which we found helpful when manoeuvring through the larger crowds. Donato brought a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm as our guide and did a spectacular job engaging with each attendee. I would gladly recommend Donato as a guide to anyone wishing to visit the Vatican.
We visited the Vatican in November 2026, great time busy but not unbearable. It was so interesting our guide was very knowledgeable, explained all our questions. Would recommend.
Had a great guided tour of the Vatican with Gin, she was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the sculptures and artwork and pointed out as many of the most important pieces you can see in the timeframe. She also helped us find a great route to walk back to our hotel which sent us through some cool laneways.
Elisabetta was Amazing!! Funny, thoughtful and considerate, personable, and knowledgeable. We enjoyed the experience even more than we thought we would.
Absolutely breathtaking and our guide was very informative but also respectful when we had to stop for a break
Of course you can go it alone, but the ticket queues are so much longer, and it's always so busy, that having a knowledgeable guide moving you through the crowds and giving you information on what you are seeing through an earpiece is a real game changer. The meeting point was very easy to find, and the group size was small enough that it never felt impersonal. All in all an amazing afternoon and definitely worth the money.
Our guide Marco was exceptional, he explained the paintings in the Sistine Chapel, The Conclave and many other items that without the explanation you’d probably be confused, unless you know all about Rome. Marco answered our questions and would pause along the way to ensure the group was together. Just a great experience over all! Thank you Marco!
We thoroughly enjoyed our Colosseum, Arena and Roman Forum tour with our guide, Giorgio on 26 Sep 2026. The trip was organised via Towns of Italy Rome and booked via Klook. Giorgio is a wonderful, patient and educational guide! Giorgio deserves a 5-star rating as he truly deserves the recognition! GRAZIE GIORGIO 🥰! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Wonderful tour guide (Elizabetta) was a wealth of information. She kept the tour moving along at a good pace and was attentive to all questions.
Ruggeno was an excellent, interesting guide for Towns of Italy tour of the Colosseo-Ford Romani Palatino (Colosseum in Rome). We loved our time together and he really explained all the eras of Italys history and layers of Rulers, architecture and Popes. There was plenty of stops and times for photos and information. He was also easy to understand We had no issues with our tickets and entrances.
Nora was fantastic!! We appreciated her style and humor. She does her job well!
Marco was a genuinely nice guy, full of knowledge. The tour started 16:15 and lasted approximately. 2.5hrs (still busy though). Marco was providing insightful information non-stop. He was very personable, dropping in every now and then his favourite part of the Sistine Chapel frescos alongside fact after fact about the whole tour - the occupants, the statues, the paintings, and really detailed info about everything we saw. I’d recommend getting a guided tour - Marco in particular - as there is SO MUCH to see and understand. You could honestly spend days doing the tour and still not get an understanding of everything.
September 20th 2026 Giorgio was our guide for the Roman Forum and Colosseum tour. He was amazing at keeping us engaged by always asking us questions and when we guessed wrong, he always had a funny joke to keep it fun and engaging. He was clearly an expert at all the subjects of history, the architecture, and art regarding our tour. He made us laugh, he made us think, and he was so nice to everyone. He even staged a rock-paper-scissors mock gladiator fight; a highlight of the tour. We had such an enjoyable time thanks to Giorgio and we would highly recommend him for anyone touring Rome. -Patrick Schwalbe
The tour guide was knowledgeable and informative. The skip the line feature was a must. Unfortunately the Vatican is over crowded and felt overwhelming, but that in no way reflects on the tour itself. We were grateful to our guide for all the information and felt we learned a great deal. Would NOT have wanted to do this independently without the tour guide or skip the line access!
Our guide, Tina was very knowledgeable and was able to answer questions. Our goal was to skip the queue and see the Sistine Chapel and we achieved this.
Giorgio was awesome - tremendous guide. Very informative tour and fun!
George was thorough, knowledgeable and amazing!
The Vatican and St. Peter’s Basilica are masterpieces, with so much to see—art, sculptures, tapestries, and more. We really enjoyed our visit, and it is definitely a must-see when you go to Rome. The downside is that it can be very crowded, so you often feel like you have to move quickly and don’t have enough time to fully appreciate everything. Our guide was very good and showed us the most important and relevant parts of the Vatican. We visited the Basilica on our own, which allowed us to take our time and spend more time exploring it.
Big crowds at the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel, but being with a tour group got us in to see the major sights. There are so many things to see, so it may be beneficial to budget in more time for after your tour to explore in more depth. The exhibits themselves are massive and awe inspiring. Absolutely beautiful works of art not even including the famous Sistine Chapel ceiling. Our guide did a great job keeping us together and informing us of what we were seeing. I noticed other guides talking in the Sistine Chapel despite apparent rules against that, ours did not, which I felt was more respectful.
We visited the Roman Forum and Colosseum with Elsa. She was an excellent guide. I loved it.
Ruggero was a great guide and very knowledgeable. A worthwhile experience
We did the Coliseum 3 hr tour with Forum. Highly recommend, our tour guide Fabrizio was amazing, engaging and informative. Thank you!
We had an excellent experience! Sergio in the morning at Vatican City was very insightful and friendly, then Claudia in afternoon was outstanding. So friendly, knowledgeable, easy to understand and even gave us some extra tips on where to eat. Highly recommend
Had a wonderful time with our tour guide, Claudia! She was really nice and we had a relaxing, yet informative tour, covering all the history of the ruins. Loved the experience!
A fantastic way to visit the Vatican and St Peter’s Basilica. The tour was very well organised from start to finish and the skip-the-line access saved a huge amount of time. Our guide was excellent, providing interesting historical information and stories throughout the tour that really brought the sites to life. One of the highlights was the smaller group size. With only around 14 people, the experience felt much more personal and enjoyable than some of the larger tours we saw. It was easy to follow along, hear the commentary and ask questions. The Vatican Museums and St Peter’s Basilica were absolutely incredible and this tour helped us appreciate much more than we would have if we had explored on our own. The only challenge was the extreme summer heat. Temperatures reached around 38°C and, given the age and historical nature of the buildings, there is limited air conditioning in some areas. It made parts of the tour quite warm, although this is obviously beyond the control of the tour company. Overall, a wonderful experience and excellent value. We would happily recommend this tour to anyone visiting Rome.
Excellent tour and highly recommended. Our tour guide was fantastic – knowledgeable, engaging and clearly passionate about the history of the Vatican and St Peter’s Basilica. Having a smaller group of only 14 people made a huge difference, as it was easy to hear the guide, ask questions and move through the sites without feeling lost in a crowd. The skip-the-line aspect was worth it and allowed us to make the most of our time. The guide provided fascinating insights and details that we would never have appreciated had we visited on our own. The only downside was the weather, with temperatures reaching 38°C on the day of our tour. Much of the experience takes place within historic buildings that understandably do not have modern air conditioning, so it was extremely hot at times. This is obviously not the fault of the tour operator, but something future visitors should be prepared for if travelling during summer. Overall, a 10/10 experience. Great guide, well-organised tour, manageable group size and an excellent way to experience the Vatican and St Peter’s Basilica.
Fantastic tour with an excellent guide!
Very thorough tour, though felt rushed at several points. We spent 2 1/2 hours but literally walked through several rooms without even taking the time to allow us to look around a bit. We found the title misleading- it is a guided tour ONLY of the Vatican and Sistine Chapel but NOT for St Peter’s Basilica. At check-in, the host was not helpful for assisting us with what we feel we clearly paid for. Guide was very knowledgeable but the earpieces are terrible and was very hard to understand, especially given the very thick accent.
Julia our guide was simply fantastic! She made the tour of the Vatican museums the most memorable part of our visit to Rome! She was very knowledgeable but never dry nor boring! The Vatican museums become much more interesting and memorable because of her. Grazie Julia!
Manola was an extremely educated and wonderful guide!
Our tour guide, Fabrizio, was amazing. Knowledgeable, engaging - his passion for the Vatican and the collections was clear. He kept our entire party engaged for the entire tour. Would highly recommend.
The most amazing tour! Our tour guide was super knowledgeable and kind. The team had organized it very well and gave us headsets to follow along with the information given by our tour guide. Truly a wonderful experience and will definitely book them again for our next trip!
I had a private tour with Kate of Sistine Chapel and the Vatican Museums. Kate was extremely knowledgeable, kind, and very fun to spending time with. Plus she got us around expertly!
The Vatican and Sistine Chapel tour were interesting and beautiful. However, our English speaking guide was very difficult to understand, partially because of his heavy Italian accent and his tone and partly because the audio system was subpar. Most of us had to have periods of time with no earpiece in. If I had to do it again, I probably would ask and make sure I had someone who spoke clear English.
This was an incredible tour and our tour guide was amazing👍👍 Big shout out to MANOLA, she was informative, super friendly and just overall a great tour guide.👍👍
We had a private tour with guide Sylvia. She was the best as she’s very knowledgeable and was always checking our comfort level for pace. We enjoyed being with her as it felt personal and enhanced our experience. Ask for her by name! She’s the best!
I was very happy with my tour and my guide Rafaela. She was knowledgeable and very receptive to our many questions. She also gave us tips on what to do after and where to eat! I booked the private tour, so we only had a group of 3, but that was the cheapest option (cheaper than normal group?!?) Overall, third party bookings are very expensive. The cost was more than I would like, but I had been looking forward to this tour so it was worth it for me. The hassle of trying to get tickets through the official site was just not worth it for me.
All recommendations for this tour. Our guide Gabriella was very professional, helpful and friendly at the same time, which made the good atmosphere. She walked us through the history, explained everything very well, showed the details. We were group of 19 people which was okay because she gave us device so we can hear her. Our tour was 3 hours long and it was enough to see all the most important things in the Vatican museums and Sistine Chapel. I was good experience and I would recommend it to everyone who wants to visit.
Our tour of the Vatican was the highlight of our trip. Our guide didn't just rattle off dates; she told the story of the Vatican like a gripping drama. From the grim details of St. Peter’s history to the hidden 'brain' in Michelangelo’s frescoes, her insights made the art come alive. If you want a guide who actually knows her stuff and makes it fun, book with her!
When we first arrived at the meeting point there was no representatives waiting for us to book in which made us panic thinking that we had missed our chance to visit the Vatican city. We found some help from a local who helped us call the organisers and whilst we were talking to them the rep finally turned up to about 20 mins late and we finally managed to book in. We then noticed that there were other tourists experiencing the exact same problem just an hour earlier which made our time slot around half an hour late. On the plus side the tour guide was very knowledgeable, amusing and helpful which helped balance the earlier frustrations. The overall experience was enjoyable and fascinating.
We were a family of 8 adults and wanted to just see the highlights. Daminano was funny and personable. There was an issue with tix for other patrons that held up our tour.
Marco, the guide, knows a lot and going in a small group is a plus because is full of people and not that easy to walk around. It was a long tour, with many explanations and details about paintings and different places.
What a great event with a length of more than 3 hours. Valerio our guide was extraordinary and full of knowledge. We could feel his passion and he made the experience to what it is. I would recommend him everytime.
Damion Cali was a amazing guide, funny and professional
Went with tour guide Marco and he was incredible! 10/10 amazing, insanely knowledgeable and able to answer all questions. Was also so lovely to chat to, went at a great pace and was accommodating. Great value for money. Total tour went for about 2.5hours. Highly reccomend. Thanks Marco!!
Elisabeth was fantastic. One of the best guides ever! A totally relaxed and educational experience. Thank you.
