Itinerary
Villa Borghese, an iconic retreat in Rome, spans 148 acres of lush gardens, serene lakes, and ancient trees, offering a peaceful haven amid the city's bustle. Originally built for the Borghese family in the 17th century, it now houses a spectacular art gallery showcasing works by Caravaggio, Bernini, and Raphael, among others. The villa's architecture exudes Baroque elegance, complemented by manicured lawns, charming fountains, and scenic viewpoints that overlook Rome's historic skyline. It's a cultural and natural gem, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in art, history, and tranquil landscapes in the heart of Italy's capital.
Piazza del Popolo, a majestic square at the northern edge of Rome's historic center, captivates visitors with its grandeur and historical significance. Framed by elegant neoclassical buildings and twin Baroque churches, the square boasts a central Egyptian obelisk from ancient times, a symbol of Rome's imperial past. Originally a bustling marketplace and later a venue for public events, Piazza del Popolo is now a hub for cultural gatherings and leisurely strolls.
The Spanish Steps, or Scalinata di Trinità dei Monti, are a beloved symbol of Rome's architectural grace and cultural richness. Constructed in the 18th century, these 135 steps connect the Piazza di Spagna below with the Trinità dei Monti church above, offering a stunning view of the city. Adorned with vibrant azaleas in spring and featuring the Barcaccia Fountain by Bernini at its base, the Steps attract visitors who gather to relax, socialize, and enjoy the surrounding boutiques and cafes. They embody Rome's blend of history, art, and cosmopolitan charm in a timeless urban setting.
The Trevi Fountain, Fontana di Trevi in Italian, is a dazzling masterpiece and one of Rome's most iconic landmarks. Completed in the 18th century, it stands as a Baroque extravaganza, designed by Nicola Salvi and adorned with intricate sculptures depicting mythological figures and sea creatures. The central figure of Oceanus dominates the scene, while the fountain's cascading waters create a mesmerizing spectacle. Visitors flock to toss a coin over their shoulder into the fountain, a tradition believed to ensure a return to Rome. Surrounded by bustling streets and historic buildings, the Trevi Fountain captivates with its grandeur, artistic detail, and romantic allure, making it a must-see destination in the Eternal City.
The Colosseum, or Colosseo in Italian, is an awe-inspiring testament to ancient Roman engineering and grandeur. Built over 2,000 years ago, it stands as the largest amphitheater ever constructed and a symbol of Rome's imperial might. Originally used for gladiatorial contests and public spectacles, the Colosseum could hold up to 80,000 spectators. This iconic monument features a distinctive elliptical shape with four levels of arches, showcasing the innovative building techniques of its time. The exterior is composed of travertine stone, once adorned with statues, while the interior housed a labyrinth of tunnels and chambers for performers and animals. Today, the Colosseum remains a marvel of ancient architecture and a UNESCO World Heritage site, drawing millions of visitors annually to explore its history and significance. It stands as a poignant reminder of Rome's cultural legacy and continues to inspire admiration for its enduring beauty and historical importance.
Piazza Venezia, centrally located in Rome, is dominated by the grand Altare della Patria (Altar of the Fatherland), a monumental structure honoring Italy's first king. Surrounding the square are historic landmarks like Palazzo Venezia, once a papal residence and now a museum. The square's strategic position connects to Via dei Fori Imperiali, leading to the Roman Forum and Colosseum, and Via del Corso, a bustling street for shopping and dining. Piazza Venezia stands as a symbol of Rome's history, culture, and architectural splendor, attracting visitors with its monumental beauty and central role in the city's vibrant life.
The Pantheon, a marvel of ancient Roman engineering and architecture, stands majestically in the heart of Rome. Built around 126 AD during the reign of Emperor Hadrian, it has served variously as a temple to Roman gods and now as a Christian church. Its iconic domed roof, with an oculus at the center, remains the world's largest unreinforced concrete dome, a testament to Roman ingenuity. The Pantheon's Corinthian columns, granite walls, and intricate detailing captivate visitors, while the oculus allows sunlight to illuminate its vast interior. This architectural masterpiece continues to awe with its blend of history, spirituality, and architectural brilliance, making it a must-visit destination in Rome's historic landscape.
Piazza Navona, a masterpiece of Baroque architecture in Rome, stands on the site of the ancient Stadium of Domitian. Its elongated oval shape is adorned with three magnificent fountains, including Bernini's Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi (Fountain of the Four Rivers) at its center, depicting allegorical figures representing major rivers. Surrounded by elegant palaces and churches, the square buzzes with outdoor cafes, street performers, and a vibrant atmosphere that draws locals and tourists alike. Piazza Navona encapsulates the essence of Baroque art and Roman history, making it a must-visit destination for its beauty, cultural significance, and lively ambiance.
Castel Sant'Angelo, originally built as a mausoleum for Emperor Hadrian in 139 AD, stands majestically on the banks of the Tiber River in Rome. Over the centuries, it has served as a fortress, papal residence, and prison. The castle is renowned for its cylindrical shape and towering height, crowned with a statue of the archangel Michael sheathing his sword. Castel Sant'Angelo stands as a symbol of Rome's resilience and architectural grandeur, blending ancient Roman engineering with medieval fortifications. Its strategic location and storied past make it a captivating destination for history enthusiasts and tourists exploring Rome's cultural heritage.

Had a great tour with Julius! Saw all the sights and had a great time.
Best way to see Tome without walking miles. It seeing it closely, going through small streets, and viewing everything within 3 hours. Excellent guide (Yvan) knowledgeable and really nice. That was the best tour we had in Rome. Do not take buses. With the golf cart you are able to stop at every place easily.
Wonderful and I had an excellent guide. Have already recommended to several people traveling in the near future.
Our guide was courteous and attentive to us. Made aure we had a good time. He drove safely and engaged us in conversation.
Great tour! Julius was a great tour guide. He was very knowledgeable, personable, and answered all our questions. A lot of people can just drive and point and know basic facts but he knows the history of Ancient Rome.
The tour was really amazing. The Guide was so lovely and took time to explain everything. We really appreciated the effort. Big recomondation!!
Andy was a fantastic guide and we had a great time. Was able to get in all the sights. I even left my phone in the cart at the end of the trip. Contacted the tour operator whom immediately contacted Andy whom went out of his way to come back to drop off point and returned it. Wonderful service and class act!
This golf cart tour with Julius was one of the highlights of our trip to Rome! It was the perfect way to see so many of the city’s famous landmarks without spending the entire day walking in the summer heat. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and shared fascinating history and local stories while making plenty of stops for photos. Riding through the charming streets and hidden corners of Rome gave us a unique perspective that we wouldn’t have experienced on foot. The pace was relaxed, the golf cart was comfortable, and we never felt rushed. If you’re visiting Rome for the first time—or even if you’ve been before—I highly recommend this tour. It’s a fun, convenient, and memorable way to experience the Eternal City!
Great tour. Guide was excellent. Accommodating and knowledgeable. Would recommend it
Very informative and very fun. Great experience. Our tour guide gave us Avery in depth look of location that are not typically discussed
We had an amazing time. The golf cart tour was fun and informative. I definitely recommend going. Some sights we drove by and when possible we were able to get out and take pictures. One of the most fun tours I have ever taken. Sitting in the back seat of the golf cart was especially wild and fun!
Excellent tour guide(Frabrechio(?)). We had time to take pics and check out the specific landmarks. He gave us local food and gelato recommendations.
Great way to learn about the many historical sites around the city. Our driver was fantastic and super informative!
Our tour guide Julius was great. He was very patient and knowledgeable. My husband, a avid history buff, would ask him obscure questions about random Roman emperors or locations and he always had an answer. The length of the tour is good but there is so much to see. This is definitely a good way to give you a introduction to Rome.
Sam was an awesome guide!! He had lots of information and was helpful with things you should visit or places you should eat. He gave us plenty of time to take pictures and see the monuments. He was very kind when answering questions! Got to see much of Rome in a short ride. Beware of bumpy roads though due to cobblestone. But felt secure in golf cart.
Outstanding tour. We went at 7pm so it was cool and saw much of Rome lit up. The guide Julius was amazing. Very knowledgeable and great English so we understood everything. He answered all our questions and was a very calm and confident driver - very useful when navigating Rome traffic in a golf buggy. Highly recommend this tour when you first get to Rome.
The tour was good. Guide was very knowledgeable but she was hard to understand for an English speaking guide. The ear headset was not very good. But even with those issues the tour was very good.
If you’re visiting Rome, book this tour immediately! Our guide, Luca, was absolutely phenomenal. We had already visited the Colosseum earlier in the day, so instead of following the standard route, he customized the tour specifically for our family of four. Since the other guests didn’t show up, we essentially had a private experience. Luca took us to Piazza del Popolo, the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Trastevere, Piazza Venezia, the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, and Castel Sant’Angelo. He even stopped for gelato and made sure we had plenty of opportunities for photos and shopping. His knowledge of Rome’s history, architecture, and culture was outstanding, and he shared fascinating information throughout the tour. The golf cart was a fantastic way to see so much of Rome in a short amount of time without exhausting ourselves in the heat. This was one of the highlights of our entire trip, and I would recommend it to anyone visiting Rome. Thank you, Luca, for an unforgettable experience!
amazing and so nice!! answered every question, and took us to some local spots along the way! absolutely loved it and great way to see rome out of the sun/heat.
This is a much do even if you have seen all the highlights before. Taking a golf cart around Rome's City Center is the only way I will do this in the future. We hit all the major attractions and a few I had never seen before. Driver was so informative and knew so much about the history of Rome. 1000% recommend!!
Fantastic tour, Ivano our guide was very knowledgeable and accommodating. Highly recommended, we had a great time. Thanks.
Julius our driver/guide was very informative and spoke very clearly. Very understanding when some passengers were late
We arrived at the meeting point 645pm for a 700 pm start on time and found no representatives present . The tour guides finally showed up and started 1 hr late. No communication from the tour operator. Stay away from this company. Not reliable, no communication!!
Ivano was the absolute best! The golf cart tour is a great way to see Rome! We did an evening tour with stops along the way to take photos and even go to throw a coin in the Trevi Fountain. Ivano is passionate and knowledgeable about the history of Rome making our tour both fun and informative! We highly recommend this tour!
Had only 6 hours to explore Rome on May 1 which is a holiday. This was perfect! Saw the major sights with 10-15 minutes for pictures. Guide was knowledgeable and informative. Also, an excellent driver. Would definitely recommend.
Julius was very knowledgeable and accommodating. Highly recommend.
It was a wonderful experience zipping around Rome at night seeing all the sights & the beautiful lights. Our guide Fab was very knowledgeable
What a beautiful tour. All of the best monuments Lito at night. Julius is an extraordinary fountain of knowledge. He sees Roma as his privilege, very nice and accommodating young man.
Excellent tour of Rome! We hit all the historic and touristy sights in the city and had an amazing guide who provided historical background. The tour stops at select locations to take pictures and explore for short periods of time before moving on to the next site. Our guide went out of his way to help us when we ended up with a luggage issue. Great people! Great tour!
Sam was wonderful! He was punctual and knowledgeable. He went above and beyond to make our tour complete. We saw soo much in such a short amount of time!
Excellent way to see Rome. Tour guide fantastic. Loved it and would recommend
This tour was amazing!! We saw all the the sights and our guide was a great historian! This was our first time in Rome and what a great way to see everything!
There were 2 Golf Cart on the day of the Tour only one drive cart one was explaining the attraction on the 2nd cart only in stops what ever little was heard I got to know about the attraction this was total let off. Just drop and go kind of attitude was shown by our guide.
What a fun way to see some of the historical sites of Rome. Our driver, Ivan, was very knowledgeable and obliging. We have already recommended this tour to others.
This tour is a real express tour of Rome . Julius , our guide was absolutely amazing. He pulled over and extensively explained all of the important historical sites ( which are truly breathtaking) Julius really made this tour , excellent value . If you only do one tour in Rome , do this one . You will not be disappointed.
Excellent mode of transport fantastic guide Thoroughly enjoyable x Brilliant way to explore Rome knowledgeable guide friendly great fun
Ivano was out guide, brilliant tour, really good info throughout, relaxed pace but got round everything comfortably. Highly recommended
The experience itself was organised, comfortable transport and helpful guides but be prepared to walk quite a bit the different attractions.Still worth it for the variety of sites.
Fantastic experience. Julius our driver and guide was brilliant. Very knowledgable and friendly. Highly recommended.
Tour was incredible and the tour guide was even better. He showed around absolutely everything and even gave us restaurant reccs.
I recommend this to anyone and everyone as the perfect introduction to Rome! My son and I arrived the night before and didn’t want to do anything too demanding just in case we were jet lagged ( after a 14 hr trip from Seattle) . Our guide, Ivani, was outstanding! It was pouring rain but it didn’t bother us at all because he made our tour so fun and interesting. He told us lots of stories about everything we saw, he was easy to understand because his English was terrific and he was also very knowledgeable and patient. There were only two other people on the tour with us and we ended up being very friendly and comfortable with our group. I just loved the whole experience and so did my son. Can’t recommend more highly!
Learn a lot about Rone in a short period of time. Francesco was very knowledgable and friendly. Highly recommend.
Ivano was our guide...he was so informative and stopped for us to take photos This was our best experience in Rome :seeing all the attractions at night with no sore feet or any "getting lost" frustrations Highly recommended
Comfortable way to travel around Rome and take in the sites! Golf cart can get closer so less walking involved.
Tour started on time. Our guide spoke clearly and had a wealth of knowledge. Answered all questions and was very professional/polite. He was Julius or Louis. We took a few different tours over our days here and I get our guides confused but all were excellent!
We had an informative day with Julius and managed to see all of the areas we missed during other tours. We got up close to a lot of Rome we missed out on with previous tours.
A perfect way to see the city, especially when you have a short time and want to see the highlights. You can easily get in and out of streets that a bus would have a hard time with. Our driver was very knowledgeable We highly recommend.
Very knowledgeable. Spoke English well. Went beyond to show us major sites and landmarks around Rome. Good length of trip.
The very best way to spend my first night in Roma! Ivano was amazing, he was keen to share all the sights and the history of his beautiful city with me. He was so courteous and accommodating and funny too! 100% recommend this tour. Grazie Ivano 😘
