Itinerary
Start your experience at a traditional Roman delicatessen in Trastevere. Step inside to enjoy pizza bianca filled with savory porchetta, and a glass of wine, while the guide selects fresh eggs, grated Parmigiano, and fresh sheep ricotta for the class ahead, highlighting the shop’s high-quality local products.
Visit a classic old-school Roman trattoria for a hands-on pasta-making experience. Guided by a local expert, you’ll learn the secrets of perfect fresh pasta while having fun shaping your own fettuccine and ravioli with fellow travellers. Then sit down to enjoy your creations: pasta chitarra with amatriciana sauce and ravioli filled with sheep ricotta and lemon zest, with butter and sage sauce. A great pasta class is, of course, accompanied by good wine.
To end on a high note, you will head to our favorite gelateria to enjoy the finest organic gelato in Rome. You will not only eat this amazing treat, but you will also learn to spot the differences between real and fake gelato!

Gloria Host the cooking class, she was a total delight , full of knowledge and experience, our first stop was the butcher shop to get the meat for our meal, the next stop was an absolutely beautiful Restaurant call Erocoli, where we did the actual preparations for making pasta , the class was fun and the people we were with made it fun too, we ended the class walking to a true Italian gelato shop, I highly recommend this for a fun evening
My favorite tour in Rome! This was my first pasta making experience and Gloria was a wonderful guide. Extremely helpful in making pasta from scratch. Meal was all’amatriciana and lemon ravioli with ricotta. Dishes were fabulous! Gloria also picked out a great gelato place to top off the experience. Highly recommend!
Easily my favorite tour in Italy! Gloria was wonderful helping me make pasta from scratch for the first time. Would highly recommend her and this class!
It was the best thing ever. Really enjoyed myself. Would do it again in a minute. Francesca the host/instructor was beyond awesome. She knows a lot about cooking and Italian history!! Love her!! Go. Do it.
Francesca was absolutely brilliant. I sent my three teenagers and I wish I had joined them. It was a highlight of our whole trip. There are pasta making classes and there are pasta making classes. This is one of the best authentic and treasured experiences. Thank you Francesca so much.
Davide was wonderful - fun, enthusiastic, sincere. He made everyone feel comfortable. Adults and kids had great time.
As a family of four this was a fantastic experience. Leo was exceptional as a teacher and made the entire experience so enjoyable. We definitely learned a lot and thoroughly enjoyed the wine too. It was such a surprise to have the deli visit first and then the gelato visit afterwards too. our teenagers loved it! And the restaurant we ate At was absolutely superb.
Our group loved everything about this class! Mariel lead our class and she was amazing! The entire evening was very authentic from buying our supplies from the butcher to making our dish and then dining family style in the most beautiful Restaurant. Finishing the night with a stroll through town for gelato was the perfect way to end. Highly recommend this class! Can’t wait to try pasta at home.
We loved this experience and felt it was well worth the cost. Davide was an amazing guide who made our tour personalized and great fun! We also loved his family background of making homemade pasta with his grandmother. It really showed us what a fun experience it is to gather with family u or friends to make pasta together!
Giselle was amazing, knowledgeable, energy and authenticity. We definitely explored, learned & delighted in the knowledge she shared, the food & establishments & the taste of culture in Rome. We will definitely do another tour & recommend Giselle & the company!
Loved the butcher shop, the cheese and wine tasting. The restaurant we made pasta in was beautiful. I’d like to know a little about how the sauce was prepared. The gelato at the end was a nice touch.
Jasmine was fantastic. We learned a lot, made some great Fettuccine and Ravioli, and went home full! Well worth it.
Total garbage company—canceled our class! STAY AWAY. We booked a pasta making class for myself and 8 year old daughter months ago when we were planning our Rome Trip…well, they text us to cancel the class the day before we were scheduled to do it “due to unforeseen circumstances”. We’ve pressed them as to why and have gotten zero legitimate response. If you want to enjoy your trip and experiences in Rome book with another company.
Luka Murphy was amazing. Great time.
Leo was our guide. We had 3 kids with us- 15, 12 and 10. We had a wonderful experience! Leo was very personable and we learned a lot from him. We loved all the food we tasted and would definitely recommend him.
Leonardo was prompt and knowledgeable. He taught us how to prepare two types of pasta in a fun and accessible way. He was patient and sweet with our daughter and had a great sense of humor.
Did this tour with my teenage son whilst in Rome- excellent tour , really good fun and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. The restaurant where we made pasta was lovely, the visit to the deli was great as was the gelato . Our guide Toni was very good and told us lots about Rome, food and culture.
Great way to spend Valentine's Day in Rome! We were looking for something unique to do, and this was the perfect choice. Our guide, Toni, was outstanding. She made the entire experience fun, educational, and by the time we left, we felt as if we had known the others in the group our entire lives. There's nothing better than making your own pasta and then eating it with new friends.
Food was good, restaurants were interesting and all had a sort...interesting! Giuseppe was fun! Especially likes the Gelatto at the end! We recommend the tour.
Katherine was wonderful! We brought our 8 and 10 year old and it was such a great experience. They loved making the pasta and using all of the tools. :) Everthing was delicious... beautiful restaurant plus wine for mom and dad. Highly recommend!!
We had the most fun with Valentina learning about the meats and cheeses as well as the porketta at the meat shop and the wonderful wine tasting. Then we got into the pasta making which was much easier than I expected. We made fettuccine and ravioli and it was delicious! Most enjoyable and Valentina was very informative and knowledgeable.
It was wonderful Valentina was very knowledgable and professional. Class was fun and informative. Visit to the meat shop with samples of the porketta was marvelous!
Really enjoyed it . Fabio was excellent . We had lots of interesting info and stories . But also fabulous food and wine and plenty of it. I recommend this tour . Thanks Fabio !
Such a great experiential tour/taste of Italy cooking with Chef Valter! The group size was perfect and promoted getting to know others while learning how to make fettuccine and ravioli. Valter was very attentive of us students and giving feedback to get the best outcome for our pasta dishes. I would happily recommend this pasta making class to anyone looking to learn about ingredients in their favorite pasta dishes and how to make a delicious dish (surely to impress friends and family!).
Excellent tour. Highly recommend Valter. He was the best. Fun and friendly. It was a great experience and the pasta was delicious
If I could give this tour 10 stars I would. The entire food tour was excellent and what made it more incredible was the person who did the tour Edna. She was very knowledgeable about the food and culture of Italy, she was very personable and funny . I would definitely do this tour again.
Participating in this pasta making experience exceeded all our expectations. From the start, Valentina our guide/instructor was so welcoming, personable, knowledgeable and so supportive throughout the class. The first stop alone at the local shop to obtain the ingredients was so worth it as the samples of prepared meats, chesses, wine and finally porchetta that was the best ever. Moving onto the restaurant to make the pasta was a great experience. So enjoyable with Valentina right there offering tips for the pasta to be made to perfection by each member of the group. Then to have the restaurant cook the pasta made by the group enabled us to have a most delicious dinner. The evening was made even better when Valentina brought us to a local gelato shop.
So glad we took the class. Our guide Valentina was so refined and polished. She comes extremely prepared with answers to all our questions. Excellent choice!
Our pasta-making class in Rome with Valentina was an unforgettable highlight of our trip! Valentina is not only knowledgeable and informative, but also incredibly funny, supportive, and encouraging. She created such a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made the whole experience easy, enjoyable, and full of laughter. We felt comfortable right away, and by the end of the class, we were confidently rolling out pasta like true Italians. If you’re looking for an experience that’s both fun and authentic, we cannot recommend Valentina enough—she’s absolutely fantastic!
The food tour was amazing! From one establishment to another the food was delicioso! The sites, flavors, service & company were wonderful! This was only made possible by our bellisimo tour guide, Francesca-she was informative, friendly & caring that we truly enjoyed our experience from beginning to end-was a beautiful soul. Graci
Lovely morning into the afternoon walk and then pasta making class at a local trattoria with our guide Toni. She was very personable and knowledgeable with a good background and a long time living in the area. Introduced us to the local butcher where we had a tasting tour, then on to the trattoria where the class of only four made lunch of ravioli and fettuccine with a lovely burrata and wine. Ended at the gelato stand very close. It was an intimate tour and well worth the cost that was quite economical. Five stars all around. Highly recommend touring/ cooking with Toni! Grazie!
Fabulous way to spend an afternoon in Rome. Kat was a fantastic and knowledgeable guide… pasta making perfection… bellissima!!!
Had an amazing time on the Eating Europe Rome tour! 🍝✨ From rolling out fresh pasta, to sipping wine while eating cheese in Trastevere, and ending on the sweetest note with gelato, every moment was perfection. Our host Catherine was such a gem! She was warm, full of energy, and truly the best guide we could have asked for. 🇮🇹🍷🍨
This was such a fun tour! Eating great food and learning all about Roman cuisine- what could be better?! Kat is so engaging and has great info to share. The whole family had a great time, including the 18-year old! Highly recommend!
Valantina was excellent!! She was very engaging and professional....Our 10yr old daughter loved learning to make her own pasta. Excellent tour 100% recommend - Make sure and request Valantina.
We had an amazing experience and learned how to cook two types of pasta. We loved getting to see the local meat and cheese store. Our guide Leo was excellent, knowledgable and funny. He tailored the tour to our needs and was a great teacher. The tour was everything advertised and more! I'd highly recommend for other families and groups.
We made pasta from flour to table! The group was about 10 people and everyone was very friendly. Our guide, Lauriana, showed us how to make the dough and helped everyone put it through the pasta roller and then cut the fettuccine and ravioli. The result was delicious! Our tasting at the Italian meat and cheese shop was fun, as well. We did not have much experience, but Lauriana guided us through the whole thing with laughs and support. Highly recommend for couples, families with kids 8+.
My daughter and I had an unforgettable experience — Toni and Jasmin welcomed us like family and had us laughing from start to finish. We made pasta, drank wine, devoured some of the best gelato we’ve ever had, and even picked up some fascinating history about the area. On top of that, they shared brilliant insider tips about Rome and recommended some incredible spots to eat. We were lucky to share the evening with a fantastic group of people, which made the experience even more special. Our only regret? That we didn’t have time to do it all over again! Thank you, Jasmin and Toni — this was hands down one of the highlights of our trip and gave my daughter and me memories we’ll cherish forever.
Valentina and Lauren were amazing! Our family of five had so much fun making pasta and learning from them! Great change of pace from looking at the ruins
Toni was a blast! She has a wealth of knowledge and experience that contributed to her ability to teach us so much about Italy, the neighborhood of Trastevere, and food in general. You could tell from her interactions and conversations with the venues and staff that she was respected and that she had a great relationship with each of them! She really made sure to engage with each person on the trip, but also let us experience the tour as a group! She was so personable and made each of us feel important. We so appreciated her bubbly personality and hope we get to do another tour with her again!
Brilliant. Great way to experience Rome with a thoroughly engaging guide. Davide is the best and I work in tourism marketing in Australia.
This was so fun and good food because you make it. We really enjoyed doing this. The tour guide was sweet and fun.
This experience was incredible! It was our last night in Europe and what a great way to end our trip. Our tour guides, Jasmine and Valentina, were so fun and engaging. We learned a lot about the ingredients from the market and thoroughly enjoyed the process of making our pasta. Then it was so rewarding to eat our final product with the family-style meal at the end. So grateful for this experience!
Fabulous evening making pasta and friends. Shipped at a wonderful deli for our ingredients and then turned them into a wonderful pasta feast. Jasmine and Valentina were gracious and knowledgeable guides. They made the evening! Bravo!
Great experience it was so much fun making real pasta and also sitting down with a bunch of people we just met. The host was fantastic and really made the experience five star.
Kat was the absolute best! She made the tour so enjoyable and was extremely knowledgeable in the area and while making the pasta! 10/10 would recommend to anyone new to the area. Best idea for us to do on our first day in Rome!
This pasta making class was one of our favorite experiences while traveling through Italy. It was in Trastevere neighborhood, such a cute area. We loved it and so did our 6 year old son! Our tour/chef guides Jasmine and David were so charming, funny, knowledgeable, and extra sweet with our son. We started at a local family run meat and cheese shop and learned a little bit of what to use in making pasta and got to try a couple cheeses and porchetta, so good. Topped off with wine. We bought our pasta ingredients there Then we walked over to the restaurant where we would make our pasta. We had so much fun learning and making pasta. Great tips for when we make it on our own at home. It was nice that the group was small, it was us and 2 other families so 10 of us. Then we got to have gelato nearby at a place we wanted to try and it was so good. We had the best time. Highly recommend especially as a break from sightseeing. Bonus: there is a playground across the way under shaded trees. We went there after to let our son play while we relaxed.
Valentina was an amazing maestro. She was knowledgeable, patient, and skilled. An excellent time. We would do this again in a heartbeat.
Valentino was amazing! The pasta making class was amazing! We made pasta from nothing, and had wine to pair. It was the highlight of my trip.
