This was a great option to see Florence and Tuscany while in Rome. Sara, our representative from ItaliaTours, did a great job with navigating the train stations and helping us make sure we got on the correct trains. Our guide in Florence and Tuscany was excellent as well. The winery stop was beautiful and the perfect amount of time. San Gimignano was very pretty too. We were lucky to face only minimal delays with the trains due to protestors on the tracks. I will caution that train strikes are common in Italy, which could lead to significant delays if you aren't so lucky, but it was a risk we were willing to take in this instance.

It was an amazing day.Everything went well from the train to Florence we got to spend a few hours enjoying Florence and seeing some of its history. Then we went to the tour of the winery . The winery was amazing !!! It was beautiful and Amin was so friendly and knowledgeable. He took us through all the aspects of the winemaking then we got to sit down and enjoy some with lunch! It was the highlight of our trip so far!! Then we got to go to the town and it was like stepping back in time it was so beautiful and we were able to shop and get some amazing olive oil’s and balsamic vinegar’s among other things. All in all just an amazing fun day !! Would do it again if I come back to Rome again for sure !!
Florence was amazing to visit. Great shopping! The wine tour in Tuscany and small village we visited was the icing on the cake. It was nice to get away from the hustle bustle of the big cities. I would love to revisit the quaint little village and winery!
Wonderful experience all around. Our guide, Sara, was awesome: warm, friendly and bubbly. Her deep love for Tuscany is very apparent. Being from the region definitely gives her an edge and intimate knowledge of the area. Would absolutely book again.
The train ride was really fun and beautiful countryside !!! The walking tour was very good (we walked a lot ) but, the wine tasting was the best !!! Very private with the owner of the winery .. It was very interesting and good.. I would highly recommend !!!
Our guide was amazing! Everything was communicated and easy to follow. They are very thorough with everything you would need to know. The tour itself was great and well paced. We really enjoyed the length of everything and the winery add on was just perfect. The wine and food was amazing plus loved seeing Mike the dog.
We had a wonderful time on this day trip! It was definitely a highlight of our entire trip to Italy. It was well planned from beginning to end. Jessica, our main tour guide was amazing, friendly, informative, and organized. Florence is a beautiful city and we would love to come back to explore more. The van to the winery was comfortable and the driver did a great job navigating the roads. The family owned winery was exquisite. We got to meet Lora, the owner and 3rd generation along with her son (4th generation) of owning the farm. Our host, who was from California and with the farm for 3 years, was fun, knowledgeable and you can tell, really enjoys his job. Lunch along with the 7 different wines we got to taste and their specially made balsamic were delectable. It says light lunch in the listing, but it was several courses with a small desert at the end. You are able to place an order of wine or balsamic of at least 6 bottles and have them shipped home. Then we got to explore the nearby town of San Gimignano which is atop a hill with spectacular views. There are lots of shops, leather, ceramics, gelato, etc. We were able to spend a little over an hour to explore the town. That too was a highlight of the tour that we would love to see again. We were then transported back to the train station. All in all we give this 5🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟! We highly recommend this tour!
Sara was a wonderful guide who shared her knowledge and love of Florence with us. Amin at the winery was knowledgeable and fun, and the wines were really good! It was a fun day and I highly recommend it.
Sara was a great guide.. trip was fabulous…
Sara was amazing. Loved the tour and the town. I’ll definitely come back to Florence and wine country I had the best time
Our guide was fabulous and the wine tasting experience was a must for all who go to the Tuscany region
Incredible knowledge and experience in the country side. I would do this again!
If you’re on the fence about booking this tour, book it—you will not regret it! It was absolutely fantastic from beginning to end and truly became one of the highlights of our trip to Italy. Our tour guide, Jessica, was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the history and amazing art of Florence. She brought the city’s history to life and made exploring Florence such a memorable experience. San Gimignano was absolutely beautiful! This historic town felt like something straight out of a fairytale. We had so much fun wandering through the charming streets, taking in the beautiful scenery, and exploring the unique shops and treasures of the region. Of course, we couldn’t resist bringing home some delicious local treats! The winery was beyond incredible. Andrea was so passionate and knowledgeable about the wine he creates, and the hospitality we received from Andrea and his family was beyond anything we could have imagined. We felt so welcomed and cared for—it truly felt like we were visiting old friends. And the wine itself was absolutely delicious! You could genuinely taste the love, passion, and dedication that goes into every bottle. Hearing Andrea share the story behind the wine and experiencing how much he cares about what he creates made every sip even more special. The views were breathtaking—so beautiful that at times we could hardly believe they were real. We completely fell in love with this area and with all the wonderful people we were blessed to meet along the way. We are so grateful we had the opportunity to experience this incredible part of Tuscany. If you’re considering this tour, don’t hesitate—book it! You will make memories that you’ll treasure for years to come. ❤️🍷
We had an amazing experience and highly recommend this tour. Visited a great winery and had an amazing lunch there. Our guide Sara was so knowledgeable and informative. She made this tour extra special .
Our guide Sara was absolutely fabulous. We did a tour of Florence and then Tuscany and we didn’t want to leave. Thanks Sara for making our day the best yet.
The access to the high-speed train and the person waiting for us to make sure we got on the right train was great. When we arrived, we were met by another travel concierge who resides in Florence. We were a very small group so it made a lot of sense to go at a slower pace. There were just four of us. There was a lot of information that was given, and sometimes it was just overwhelming and then it began to rain and we spent a half an hour to 40 minutes inside of a building waiting for it to stop. And of course, we were on a time schedule to get to the wine tasting. Florence is much different than Rome and much cleaner. We crossed over the bridge and met by a driver and about an hour and a half later, we arrived at this lovely winery where we tasted a lot of wine. The person in charge had been from the US and he was very outgoing and fun. We had a late lunch, including pasta got back on the van. We walked to the station, caught the train back another hour and a half, and it was dark when we got to termini station . It was a very long day the best part of the day was sitting down and tasting different wines and having something to eat.
This tour was such a beautiful experience. The country side is just breathtaking. Our tour guide Jessica was so knowledgeable and sweet which made the experience that much better. The lunch and wine was great as well. I would definitely recommend this experience. You won't be sorry.
Our guide Jessica was absolutely AMAZING! She was very knowledgeable of the history of Florence and surrounding areas. This was a beautiful experience.
What a FANTASTIC experience!! We had an absolutely magical day with our guide Jessica. The train was super easy and her commentary added so much to our walk around Florence. The vineyard was breathtaking. A small, family-run place that felt so special and intimate. We cannot recommend it enough!
An absolutely exceptional tour guide! Jessica paid attention to every historical detail, brought Florence’s rich history to life, and made every stop engaging and memorable. Her passion, knowledge, and storytelling turned a simple tour into an unforgettable experience. She answered every question with enthusiasm and made sure everyone felt included. Without a doubt, she gave us one hell of an experience. I would highly recommend her to anyone visiting Florence! 🇮🇹👏
Everything about our trip went very smoothly. We were kept very well informed before our trip about meeting times, procedures and timings. Information from our tour guide, Jessica, was extremely interesting and full of details. She kept all members of the group fully captivated with interesting little details which we would never have appreciated if we hadn’t taken the tour. Enough free time was given to party members in Florence for coffee, snacks and toilet breaks. The drive to the winery in the Tuscany hills was delightful, about an hour duration. As for the winery itself, just brilliant! What a place! What a dream! Food, wine, marvellous views, great company! Thank you to Amin, our host. He made the group feel really comfortable and kept us entertained. San Gimignano on our way back to Florence was enchanting. The trip was great, the company was great, what a laugh we had! New friends made, grazie mille to Jessica, Amin, our driver, Antonio and fellow travellers.
Thank you Jessica! You made the whole day fantastic, from your knowledge to handling the very hot day you went above and beyond for the group all day long. We had so much fun and the stop at the winery was incredible. We will never forget this day and how special you made it. Chris and Marilene
Jessica was fun and knowledgeable. We really enjoyed our day with her and the other people we met along the way during our tour. The wine tasting experience was incredible and made it worth the money.
My wife and I did the “Best of Florence & Tuscany by High-speed Train From Rome” tour with our guide Jessica! The day is split up between doing a walking tour of the general city of Florence where you see statues from the greatest sculptures in history and art across the city. You walk and discuss the history of many significant places like the incredibly beautiful Santa Maria del Fiore, Orsanmichele, and the Piazza della Signoria. Jessica, our guide, was so knowledgeable and insightful to the rich history this city has. Expect to hear a lot of art history and prepare to walk! We had a brief break to walk around and collect some water and food (water and sparkling water is free, so bring a bottle!) and returned to walk the streets some more. Upon completion of that tour, my wife and I, along with Jessica, had a ride arranged for our second half of the tour to go to Tuscany, where we met Amin with Fattoria di Fugnano in San Gimigano. The hospitality shared and the laughs were priceless. Amin took us on a tour of the beautiful landscape where the cliffs and hills are the property lines, and the wine is absolutely delectable. We plan on ordering some to be shipped back to the states! A home cooked meal there was the best thing that could have accompanied the day/tour and the chef and staff were so good to us. It has us looking into coming back to rent a stay on their grounds! Upon completing that portion of the tour with Amin, Jessica brought us to the city of San Gimignano to wander the streets and make a decision on the “Best in the World” or the “Most Famous” gelatos! Jessica and the driver brought us back to the train station after as we visited outside of the city. I was skeptical at first as this was something my wife wanted to do over me, and I was happy to obliged. However, I think I had an even better time than her (she still had a fantastic time though!) and it really was a testament to our guide, Jessica. Jessica is a wealth of knowledge, showcasing so much history in a short timeframe. She was so incredibly warm, welcoming, and made this tour one of our favorites over our stay. Her friendliness and knowledge makes this a MUST DO! Amin and staff at Fattoria di Fugnano are phenomenal and will have customers for life! Don’t do half, do the full tour like we did. You will not be disappointed!
We enjoyed our trip to Florence, Italy!!! We'd do it again in a heartbeat!!! ❤️
Sarah was a great guid , very informative and helpful.
Amazing experience. This tour will be unforgettable for our family. It was extremely well organized and our guide Sarah was knowledgeable, friendly and incredibly helpful. Highly recommend this tour!
Sara was an amazing tour guide and she was so fun and friendly!! She took us to the famous and beautiful places in Florence! After that we drove to San Gimignano to visit the most beautiful winery I have ever seen where Amin showed us around! He was also very fun and kind! Would recommend!!
Such a great day! Myself, my mom, and my daughter throughly enjoyed the tour of Florence with Sara as our guide! Followed by a wine tasting and lunch at Fugnano winery with Amin and Michael, and a visit to San Gimignano. It was a very fun tour of the area and we were joined by a lovely group for this semi-private experience. Sara is so good - a perfect balance of knowledge and humor to navigate the day!
Sara was great, tour was fantastic with lots of facts and knowledge. Amin at the winery of Fugnano also made it a great experience. Good wine and food, would recommend to do.
Sara is a great guide, very knowledgeable. We enjoyed our toir
I thought the tour through Florence was very informative. Would have liked a little more time to take photos! Our guide was well informed and I feel she went above and beyond to share the history of the sights! She was very engaging!! The winery and tasting was amazing!!
The tour was amazing. We got to see the beauty of Florence with an experienced guide. We were even able to shop in an authentic leather boutique. Our travel to Tuscany and the winery was fantastic. Highly recommend. It is a long day and you will get your money’s worth.
Amazing overall experience. The day was excellent from start to finish with attentive staff and tour guides. We had used the high-speed rail earlier in our trip so we were familiar with the boarding and car layouts, but this was a fun way to get to our location with ease. Our tour guide Jessica was extremely attentive and highlighted the history and art of Florence to frame the day. There was adequate time for individual exploration, but probably not enough time if you wanted to do a full museum tour in Florence. Consider it a rapid tasting menu! The trip to the Tuscan countryside complete with a fantastic, tailored meal and tour of the winery was unbelievable. It did not feel like real life. We were fortunate to have excellent guests for our excursion. San Gimignano was very quaint. Despite not having this on my Italy bucket list, it was well worth it. Transfers were efficient in clean air-conditioned luxury Mercedes vans. Would highly recommend as you cannot really appreciate the scope and scale of Tuscany without going.
This was an extremely enjoyable experience. From the facility of the pickup, considering the high speed train, to the information given to us, the tour was well worth the price. The winery tour was also a nice touch of a Tuscany winery incorporated in the tour as well as the San Gimignano visit. Our guide Jessica was as knowledgeable as passionate about Florence’s history and art around the city. Overall a great experience.
Jessica was a 5 star tour guide with thorough knowledge of the history of Florence, especially the art and architecture in Florence. This tour had a nice balanced itinerary, starting the day off with a brief walking tour of Florence before traveling to the countryside of Tuscany. The family-run winery was stunning and our host Andrea made our time so fun. The medieval town was a nice way to end the day, with award winning gelato and rustic feel. It is a somewhat long day but 100% worth it and having a touch point in the train stations to get you directed on and off en route to and from Florence to Rome really made the day stress-free.
All of the guides were very personal, knowledgeable and accommodating!
Excellent tour with very small group. Relaxed yet organized. Jessica was an amazing guide and shared her knowledge with us in an approachable way. Transit was efficient and safe. The winery and small town was spectacular. Perfect length and pace.
Sara was wonderful! She was very knowledgeable on local history we thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Florence. The wine tasting was a fabulous time, definitely worth it! Looking for a fun easy experience this is it!!!
Fantastic day in Florence and wonderful wine tasting experience! Sara was highly knowledgeable, communicative and fun! I would book it again tomorrow if I wasn’t leaving.
Walking the city of Florence was a great introduction. The tour of the winery, Fatoria di Fugnano, San Gimignano, was informative and included a delicious 3 course meal while enjoying tasting many wines. We were also given an hour to explore the city and it’s shops on our own.
The trip was exceptional, especially the wine tasting and lunch. It exceeded our expectations. Our guide, Sarah was informative and was very helpful with some issues we had with our Wi-Fi for tickets and hotel address and even provided a charger for my phone.
Awesome time! San Gimignano was the best!
What a fun day with our tour guide Sarah. She was so knowledgeable and shared so much insight on Florence and its history. She spent time with each and every group member and it truly felt like we were sight seeing with a friend. Had a wonderful time!
Sara was an amazing guide! We had a great time! Would highly recommend.
This was an amazing experience with an excellent and informative guide. Jessica was absolutely friendly and knowledgeable on all Florence related topics and the history...the tour was both interesting and informative. And the Tuscan wine tasting experience was an absolute delight! Shout out to Ameen at the wine estate...whose company we thoroughly enjoyed. Got to mention the cute cats and adorable dog Mikey 😺🫶 verey impressed. Will definitely do this tour again in next trip to Florence!🥰🥰🥰
Jessica walked the streets sharing her love of the history & art. A fantastic experience!!
Jessica offered a wonderful tour. Really the best tour we had in our trip.
Sara was fantastic!! First tour guide who helped us with the trains in Rome was amazing as well. San Gimignano was one of the most beautiful places I’ve seen. Fattoria di Fugnano was fantastic.
Sara was a great tour guide. She was very informative but also really personable and fun to be around. The winery was amazing! We had a great time and would recommend it highly.
