Rome Street Football Experience & City Walk

We had the most amazing tour with Simone. Such a unique and interesting tour of Rome, my boys loved it. Simone is very passionate and knowledgable on the history of Rome, football, food, architecture and much more! I would 100% recommend this tour, he also gave us tips for great tips for restaurants. Finishing the tour with a game of street football with some locals next to the Colosseum was incredible. Grazie, Simone!!!

We had a brilliant walk all over historic Rome with Simone, history lesson & football experience in one. We stopped for fantastic gelato, ducked into some beautiful off-the-beaten-track spaces, and Simone offered his fascinating insights about Rome, past & present. A true highlight of our trip & a gem of a tour. Plenty of football discussions, and a proper match with the local kids in Trastevere, a chance to see a bit of ‘local’ Rome. My 13 year old son had a grand time, as did we all. Simone was excellent, guiding us through busy streets, witty & engaging, and a very thoughtful & interesting person. He was great with my son & the local kids they played football with. We’d recommend to anyone up for a great exploration of the city, with Roman history & football intertwined. You should be able to cover quite a bit of ground (my 81 year old mum decided not to come, which was probably the right choice). Wear running shoes or similar, especially if you plan on joining the football. I’d say this tour will enhance your experience of Rome if you can do this towards the beginning of your trip, but anytime is great. Thanks so much, Simone! We did this as a family of four, and while my 12-year-old son and I were drawn to the soccer side, not everyone in our family is a soccer fanatic and all four of us had an amazing time. If you're going to do a walking tour of Rome, Simone brings an authentic and unforgettable experience. Simone was a fantastic guide and storyteller. He brought Rome to life in a way that kept the kids engaged, asking questions, making them think, and pulling them into the history instead of just talking at us. The perspective he provided isn't something you get with the big tour groups where you're constantly messing with an ear piece. We explored just the right amount of side streets, museums, churches, and gelato on our way through the city. "If you have a ball, you can make friends". After picking up a ball at the AS Roma shop, Simone took us to a local park to find a game and with the Colosseum as a backdrop, it didn't take long to get started. We played 3v3 and 4v4 with people from Italy, Romania and France. What I loved most was that this worked on multiple levels. For the soccer lovers, it was a dream come true. For the non-soccer fans in our family, it was still a huge hit because the experience is really about Rome, culture, fun, and connection. It never felt like a standard tour. It felt like spending an afternoon with someone who genuinely wanted to share his city. Couldn’t recommend it more.

Simone gave a fun, relaxed tour that was mindful of kids. He kept it entertaining for my kids and gave some good tips about vacationing in Rome that made our stay much more enjoyable. The Roma family Street Football experience was simply an extraordinary experience, and seeing it through the eyes of my grandchildren made it even more special! From the first moment they were fascinated: walking among the wonders of the old town, listening to engaging and curious stories, captured them completely. It was not the usual sightseeing, but a real time travel, full of funny anecdotes and tales that fired their imagination. It was wonderful to see how each stage became an adventure for them. The thing I appreciated most was this double soul of the tour: on the one hand the discovery of the most iconic and suggestive places in Rome, on the other the dynamic and interactive way in which they were involved.
