This was a great way to kick off our vacation by getting a quick tour and taste of Rome along with some history!
Chris was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Rome, providing a lot of information & the food was great!
Our guide Chris introduced us to authentic, delicious and interesting street food in multiple local eateries in Rome. He was engaging and patient in explaining the background information of the food and some interesting historical facts of the sites that we also visited along the way. We enjoyed our tour very much.
Great into to the city and street food. Chris was a wonderful guid very knowledgeable and personable.
This is a fantastic experience that in my opinion is a must do in Rome! Daniele is the best guide, funny, smart, witty and is what makes this so good! You will enjoy this I have no doubt. The food is amazing and super tasty. Do yourself a favour and do it!
It was easy to spot Daniel in the not crowded area he selected. Plus the Whats App introduction ahead of time was very much appreciated. Daniel was an excellent tour guide! He was full of interesting facts about the food, the history, the areas where we walked and so much more! Of all my tours, I remember more of his fun facts and history lessons than any other tour. . I highly recommend Daniel and this walking/food tour. Oh…The food selections were excellent too!
Our tour guide was excellent and gave us great historic information. The places he took us to were amazing. We loved all the food, gelato and tiramisu.
This was a great tour - well worth the price paid. Our tour guide was Daniele, and he was one of the best tour guides we've ever had! He has so much knowledge about Rome, and especially the Jewish ghetto area. He is passionate about it and clearly loves Rome and his job as a tour guide. We learned so much! We were also fortunate that there were only the two of us on this paticular tour, so we got lots of personal attention! The food tastings were wonderful and lots of food. We had suppli, pizza, fried artichokes, gelato, and more. My favorite was the fried artichokes. So unique and yummy. We were stuffed by the end of the tour! Daniele spent some extra time with us on this tour, showing us special things and telling us a liitle about his life. We loved that and truly felt like we were friends by the end of the tour. This tour is a great choice - one of the best things we did during our trip to Rome. Book it for sure! I hope you get Daniele!
Amazing tour & great food. Loved the explanation of all the historical sites we walked by. Our guide gave us so many tips. She was amazing.
My wife and I had a wonderful time touring the Campo du Fiori, Jewish Ghetto, Pantheon and surrounding streets. Despite the rainy weather, our guide was super positive, kind and informative. She showed us hidden secrets of the neighborhood, how the shape of today's buildings are due to an ancient Roman theater from 2000 years ago, and introduced us to fried artichokes and some world-changing pistachio gelato. Highly recommended.
Serena is great guide! We had great time, almost 3hours of joy and stories and great food! Recomendations!!!
Rome is Rome… sooo much to see and say about this wonderful city. I opted for this food-tasting walking tour and it was a spot-on choice! The tour touched some of the main sights of the area (Campo de’ fiori, the Jewish “ghetto”, Pantheon, Piazza Navona..), while leading us through the intricate urban grid of this neighborhood. A fascinating walk through time: from imperial Rome, to Baroque and the Renaissance, centuries of fine architecture, art, culture and religious history filled our eyes, exuding from every stone, street and piazza. This tour experience was a perfect balance between infomative and enjoyable, while at the same time it satisfied our cravings for delicious Italian street-food samples. Virginia, our tour guide, is a lovely Roman lady who clearly has a passion for what she does. She’s professional and friendly. She gave us plenty of historical information and kept us entertained also with anecdotes about ancient Rome. I particularly appreciated the laid-back atmosphere during the whole tour. I would definitely recommend this walking tour, to both a first-time visitor to get familiar with this area, and a repeat-traveller for a different look at this multifaceted city.
A must-do! We had a such great time on our tour with our guide, Virginia. She was fun, kind, and extremely knowledgeable, always happy to answer our questions or make a small detour to satiate our curious minds. It was the perfect mix of history and fun facts to keep us entertained throughout the whole tour. Looking forward to our next tour with her!
I can’t think of a better way to get to know Rome. I learned so much about the city and my Roman boyfriend did too! Virginia is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. As we learned about the history and different facts, there was food to go along with it. I don’t want to spoil any of it for folks who may go, but learning about the different styles of pizza, why foods have the names they do, etc. was all so interesting. And the artichoke??? *chef’s kiss* it was the best food I had my whole week and a half in Italy. TL;DR: 10/10 recommend. Eat well and learn a lot while you’re at it!
Virginia is amazing! She has the perfect personality and knowledge for this type of tour. The food at each stop is wonderful. The historical information she provides adds so much. I can't recommend this tour any more strongly.
Our tour of the Rome Jewish ghetto, Pantheon and Navona Street food tasting tour was excellent. Our guide Virginia was friendly, outgoing, flexible and very knowledgeable. The foods we tasted were all delicious. We could not have had a better tour. We would highly recommend this when in Rome!
Awesome experience. Virginia guides you through the city as if it were her own home. She knows how to accomodate each and every need and loves telling lots of incredible facts and stories about the city. Avoid scammers and try the authentic Roman street food with her! Def recommend
A great way to start a visit and to have lunch in Rome! Our guide Virginia is fantastic! She is enthusiastic, warm and friendly, good energy and storytelling. The group was not big, just 8 people and we learned a lot of history and interesting stories about food. Good selection of tastings. Really recommend this tour!
We learned so much. Things we would never have known without Virginia’s talks. She is very knowledgeable and a most pleasant person
Amazing guide and great food! Loved the explanation of all the interesting historical sites we walked by - stuff that I would’ve missed walking alone!
Fabulous, fun tour with Mattia. Getting to know a handful of excellent local casual food spots was a fabulous way to start off in a new city. I plan to go back to all of them. I also loved the historical and fascinating call outs as we walked the streets of Rome. The group size of 8 people was perfect, and I met a great bunch of folks. I highly recommend this tour!
We had a wonderful walking/eating tour, starting in the Jewish Ghetto, wandering through and finishing at Navona Square. Our guide was delightful. We learned about the history of the area and tasted some delicious food. There were only 4 in the group, which was great. This was a wonderful way to spend a few hours. I highly recommend!
Super fun tour with Mattia. Getting to know a handful of local casual food gems. It is a fabulous way to start off in a new city. I wanted to return to all. I also appreciated the historical call outs along the way. It was a sweet group of folks and the perfect size of 6. Highly recommend
Our guide, Mattia was fantastic and did a really good job on letting us know some interesting facts and entertaining us. Very good food, left feeling satisfied. Perfect size group and left feeling money well spent. Would recommend
Our guide was professional and friendly. She made sure that we not only enjoy the food but also the history/facts associated with it. My favourite dish from the tour was the fried Zucchini flowers with anchovies.
The part of the Marcello theater and the Jewish ghetto. Very interesting also the story of the various Roman theaters and the h of the domes of Roman churches.
